The Queue: A truly breathtaking creature

Welcome back to The Queue, the Q&A column for all things Blizzard related. If you have a question for the Queue, leave a comment and you may see it answered!

The header image will absolutely make sense a little later. I promise. Although it’s nice to look at all by itself, isn’t it?

MISTAH JAY ASKED:

Q4People who buy tokens with irl money: If you put the token on the AH, do you get the money straight away or is it like a normal auction?

It runs just like any normal auction — you’ll get the amount of gold it was listed for, but it’ll be some time before your gold is delivered in your mailbox. Not more than a day at most, from what I’ve been hearing.

@DAVIDSTRATE ASKED VIA TWITTER:

Garrison Missions on the WoW Mobile app – will it ever be a thing?

I believe Blizzard stated somewhere that no, this would not be a thing. Garrison missions are a temporary bit of content — they are here for Warlords of Draenor, but they may not stick around once we’re done with this expansion. Developing a mobile app that works with the mission interface is basically making a mobile app that will only be relevant for a short period of time. The time invested in making something like that work is time that really could be better spent developing other things.

I would, however, love to see Pet Battles come out as a playable app or tablet game. That’s content that isn’t going to go anywhere.

GNOMEPRIEST ASKED:

Is the Harrison Jones quest for the Garrison the same no matter what garrison/server I go to?  Kind of like the Ore/Herb/Fur Trader?  Or can I pop in to different Garrisons with Harrison Jones and possibly get a different quest?  I’m down to one final quest that I need before I get him as a follower, and I can’t seem to find a HJ that is offering it.

It’s the same quest for everybody. So if you’ve got say, the Harrison quest in which he sends you out in ogre territory, it doesn’t matter who’s garrison you visit, he’ll still be sending you to the same place. However, if Harrison does not pop up in your garrison, be sure to check the Group Finder and look for someone with a Harrison in their garrison, because it’s entirely possible he’s offering the quest you need. There are usually several people that throw their garrisons open in the Group Finder just for that purpose — either there’s a particular quest giver, a particular vendor, or even the traveling trainer at the Menagerie. Good luck!

ERMELYNP ASKED:

I keep seeing posts by people who talk about how heirlooms make things easy to level. However, I don’t own an heirloom (or even know how to get one tbh) and all my alts are leveled without them. Am I the only one who does this? Sure. there are some levels that seem a struggle to get through, but overall it doesn’t seem to take more then a couple of months to level from 1 to 100 especially using the lower level dungeons. Are heirlooms really needed?

I would say that they serve their purpose — they aren’t necessarily needed, but they’re an option for people who just want to get through content as quickly as possible. Although a couple of months might not seem like a very long time to you, that’s still a lot of time to someone who just wants to get to the same level as their friends. And players who have a ton of alts already may not want to spend a lot of time running around doing low level quests. Sure, there’s the level 90 boost option, but that’s quite a chunk of real-world cash — if you can manage a speedy experience by using in game currency and items, why not go that route instead?

GNOMEMALEMODEL ASKED:

Q4TQ: My lunch hour ended before I could finish last week’s leveling live stream; Did Fox find something pretty for his dwarf?

Today’s header image is just for you. I don’t know if it’s “pretty” so much as it is “suitably majestic,” but the satchels we were getting for all our dungeon running had some pretty good stuff inside!

@ELEFTHERIOS1138 ASKED VIA TWITTER:

Is there an addon that shows me pets I have more then once? Because manually checking 550+ pets is madness :)

I had a chat with Anna Bell, our resident Pet Battle expert, and she had the following to say:

“If you’re looking in terms of culling, or selling off, getting a WarcraftPets account is probably the best way to do it. They ‘block out’ all but your highest level pet in a pinky-red haze. If you look at mine, for example, you can see that I have multiple Adders, an extra Ancona Chicken, etc. The only downside is that every time you want to use it you have to re-log in and import your data… I haven’t updated mine since May, so my info (& sitewide rank!) are inaccurate.”

It’s not quite an addon, but it’s an incredibly useful website — hopefully that will help you out!
