Glitterati of
Spectacular Death on Llane (US-A) sent us this gem, along with this story of taking a
very wrong turn in Icecrown Citadel. "We did a naked run of ICC and I volunteered to hop over to the horde boat. Remember when it was current content and you HAD to have a team go down the battle mage on the horde boat when she showed up? That team had to make sure, once the ship's health got to 10%, they got back on the Alliance boat. If you were still on the horde boat when it was defeated and it flew away, you died. There was no way to resurrect you so you had to fly back in from the graveyard.
Now, with the changes to the encounter to make it easily soloable, you don't need a team to land on the horde ship. We usually have one person go over, beat the first battle mage and come back. Also, if the boat flies away and you're still on it, you often don't die.
So here I am, on the horde ship, hovering way off ICC. The Alliance ship is on the back side, opposite the horde boat. I wasn't sure what to do. Maybe if I inch forward just enough, I'll get an automatic port to the Saurfang encounter. A fall got me to one of the side spikes off the bow. It is quite the view.
At this point, the only way off was to jump. Let's just say my 'slow fall' ran out. It is extremely important to live up to the guild name."
