Diablo 3’s third season ending soon

The end is almost nigh for Diablo 3‘s third season. Nevalistis posted today to mark the upcoming season end and give players a heads up. What exactly happens at the end of a Diablo 3 season, you may ask? Well, one thing up front — your seasonal characters will be converted to either normal or hardcore non-season characters. They won’t be deleted. Your gold transfers to your non-seasonal chartacters and the total amount of paragon experience you earned transfers as well. (Note that they specifically state the experience you earned, not the paragon levels themselves.) So that’s a load off if you were worried your seasonal characters would be wiped or destroyed.

There’s also this neat video from the folks at Blizzard giving you an overview of the process, what to expect and how it will all unfold. Most things transfer, but not all: Conquests aren’t affected and don’t go anywhere, for example.

Season 3’s ending dates and times are:

  • North America: Sunday, August 23 @ 5:00 p.m. PDT
  • Europe: Sunday, August 23 @ 5:00 p.m. CEST
  • Asia: Sunday, August 23 @ 5:00 p.m. KST

Season 4 will be starting soon after, roughly a week later:

  • North America: Friday, August 28 @ 5:00 p.m. PDT
  • Europe: Friday, August 28 @ 5:00 p.m. CEST
  • Asia: Friday, August 28 @ 5:00 p.m. KST

So there you go. You’ve got about two weeks to get everything you want done before the season ends. Get to work, demonslayers.
