Heroes of the Storm Winter Veil details revealed

Blizzard has quite a few presents under the tree for Heroes of the Storm players this holiday season with their 30 Days of Winter Veil event. Goodies this year include new limited-time winter-themed skins, free stimpacks that can be earned through playing, and a free Festive Treasure Goblin mount for the duration of the event. Let’s look at the specifics while visions of Sugarplum Sylvanas’ dance in our heads.

In addition to last year’s Winter Veil Jaina and Great-father Winter Rehgar, two new winter-themed skins are making their debut: Greatfather Winter Stitches and Sugarplum Sylvanas. There will be a new bundle featuring all four heroes plus their Winter Veil skins and the Reign-Deer Mount as well as a smaller bundle with the two new skins and their heroes. Remember that the 50% off deal on everything in the Heroes store is still in effect until the end of the month.

This year is also debuting the Festive Treasure Goblin mount. This mount is unique in that it is available to everyone for free, but only for the duration of the Winter Veil event. Make sure to select him in your Mount options after you choose a hero to play with but before you join a game.

Finally, the seasonal event rewards for playing games are free stimpacks. Playing 15 games during the 30 day Winter Veil event will get you a 4-day stimpack and playing an additional 35 games will get you a 10-day stimpack. Stimpacks grant you a 100% increase in experience and a 150% increase in gold for every game played while active.

The Winter Veil event is expected to begin with the patch coming next Tuesday, December 15th which will likely also include the introduction of the next new hero, the ranged Assassin, Lunara.
