Breakfast Topic: Killing time before Legion

By all accounts — from the unfinished state of the alpha client to the “before September 2016” release date — World of Warcraft’s Legion expansion is still a ways off. But with no new Warlords of Draenor content on the horizon and Hellfire Citadel already feeling a bit old, what are we supposed to do in the meanwhile?

Pre-expansion downtime is always an opportunity to work on collecting the achievements, pets, mounts, toys, transmogs, or other collectables you haven’t gotten around to picking up yet. But for my part, finding the patience to bother with long grinds is always the problem. While I may start out eager, by the 40th time I’ve run Stratholme for Rivendare’s Deathcharger (and I’ve run it well more than that during the course of my /played), I just get bored.

In an attempt to while away the hours before Legion, my guild has started doing at-level legacy raiding. We have a group of level-locked 60s that’s working their way through Molten Core, after which we’ll go on to Blackwing Lair and Ahn’Qiraj before leveling up to 70 and tackling Burning Crusade raids. How far will we get before Legion lands? We’ll only know for sure when we have a final release date.

But what are you doing during the pre-Legion lull? Are you still running through HFC (perhaps working on getting your Grove Warden)? Are you leveling alts? Are you running Challenge Modes or Mythics to push your skills? In short, just how do you plan to spend the time until Legion?
