Breakfast Topic: What Overwatch hero should be in the next short?

Today we’ll be getting the next Overwatch short: “Dragons.” Focusing on brothers at odds, Hanzo and Genji, it’s our third animated short (at least depending on how you count over the trailers). “Recall” gave us a story about Winston, Athena, and Reaper, then “Alive” showed us Tracer and Widowmaker.

But with so many other heroes on the Overwatch roster, I’ve got to wonder who’s coming up next. Personally, I’m hoping for Mercy — because for all that she’s a doctor and a healer, I wonder if there’s something menacing about her.

Anne would disagree with me. But even if she didn’t do it herself, Mercy was involved in saving Genji’s life — after he was offered the choice of helping Overwatch or dying. (Which Anne’s written more about.) Overwatch was certainly into some shady things and while Mercy’s character description suggests she was at odds with the organization, she couldn’t have been oblivious to what her work was being used for.

Plus though she’s a original member of the Overwatch team, she’s still impossibly young. (Which Mei comments on in-game.) Just what’s up with that? No matter how you look at it, there’s something going on here and I’d like to know what.
