Breakfast Topic: How much crossover do we want?

Heroes of the Storm is a Blizzard game which is essentially all about crossover between Blizzard’s franchises — you can play Tracer, The Skeleton King, the Lost Vikings, or Jim Raynor and fight Arthas, Thrall, or Tyrael. It’s a giddy, ridiculous and, to my eyes, awesome premise.

But should there be more than that?

In a way there is, because crossovers don’t stop at Heroes of the Storm. you’ve seen people get mounts in WoW by playing Hearthstone, level a character to 20 in WoW in order to get a card back. There are transmog items in Diablo 3 I got for playing World of Warcraft or the Overwatch beta. I’ve watched my wife run around on her Demon Hunter with Mercy’s wings, for instance, and I’ve used a weapon from Warlords of Draenor on my Barbarian.

So should Blizzard take it further, and bring even more crossovers into the universe? Should we ever get a WoW expansion that takes us to Sanctuary, or go through a Greater Rift and find ourselves wreaking havoc in the Nexus?
