Breakfast Topic: I won’t know how to play my alts soon

The Legion pre-expansion patch will likely be here within a week or two and it recently dawned on me that I am not going to know how to play any characters other than my Priest and upcoming Demon Hunter. Sure, I work at a website with plenty of resources on what’s changing. And sure, the PTR has been out for long enough that I could have tested whichever alts I wanted. But despite these facts, it never actually dawned on me that I should look into my alts — it totally slipped my mind.

It’s not even that I don’t play my alts often enough to care — in fact, I’ve been playing them quite a bit lately in order to farm old mounts in the pre-expansion lull. So pretty soon, I’m going to be facing at least half a dozen characters of varying recognizability. Part of me wants to do a marathon of last-minute research into all the changes for all my classes, but part of me is excited at the prospect of logging in one of these Tuesdays to unfamiliar territory and just learning as I go.

How about you guys? Have you done your homework for all your characters? Have a game plan for patch day? Or are you more like me, focusing only on your primary character(s) and learning the rest later on?
