Why can’t we stop playing the Sombra ARG?

I hate the Sombra ARG. I hate it. It is an endless series of countdowns that gives us no new information about Sombra (though it has given some tiny glimpses into the Overwatch world) and never seems to end.

But I can’t help it. I keep trying to figure out the latest clues. And then I am annoyed with myself for trying when the payoff turns out to be another countdown. After all, by now what did I expect? Of course it’s another countdown, and shame on me for thinking otherwise.

The latest: A posting on the Lumerico website announced that the company was opening a new nuclear plant on November 1st. Surely something would happen then. Sombra hunters managed to get into the Lumerico website to find… a new countdown. And then another message from Sombra, who signed off by saying “dasvidanya.” That led everyone to the Volskaya Industries website, which has a message in Russian announcing server maintenance.

The only good part of this news is that this game will hopefully come to an end in a few days at BlizzCon.

Please let it come to an end at BlizzCon, because I can’t stop playing it.

So, fellow Blizzard fans, tell me: how do you feel about the Sombra ARG? Are you as exhausted of it as I am or are you still trying to figure out the next part of the puzzle?
