Do you pug raids?

I hear a lot of horror stories about LFR from friends who run it. Now, I haven’t done a lot of LFR this expansion. What I have done is pug raids, up to the first couple of bosses in Nighthold. So what I’m wondering from all of you is whether or not you think pugging current content raids on Normal is easier/more fun than LFR.

Is the LFR system set up to encourage abuse? Are the raids simply too big in LFR? None of the raids I’ve done in a pug have been larger than fourteen people. Usually what happens is that myself and six or seven friends just look for enough people to get us in the door, and go from there.

So I’m curious what other people are doing. Are you using the group finder to assemble full raids from scratch? Are you just putting together a group of a few friends  and then getting enough to get in the door? Do you have an almost completely full group and then you pick up two or three puggers just to make sure you can go? Or do you absolutely fill up the raid with people, the more the merrier? How are you approaching raid content and the group finder?
