BlizzCaps: Well, he probably wasn’t going to make it anyway

“I got a letter from a Fevered Explorer at some point when I was leveling, around 105, and I briefly looked for him,” writes submitter Hindsight of Know Your Horde on Nesingwary (US-H). “But the cave I was looking in had too many high level mobs for my Mage to handle, so I gave up pretty early on. I’ve been 110 for weeks now, and was doing a world quest in the area, so I decided to look it up on Wowhead and see exactly where this guy was.  Apparently he was on top of the mountain. Huh.

Anyway, it looks like a tree grew over his head while he was waiting on me to show up with the First Aid supplies, but he still hopped right up after I treated his fever.  I was a little disappointed, honestly. I think it would have been a good lesson in clearing out my quest log if he had been dead when I got there, maybe with a note on his corpse listing all the quests I prioritized over saving his life. (“Really? Test of Strength at the Darkmoon Faire? Shame on you … SHAME!”) As long as this time limit isn’t applied to main quest lines, anyway. Sorry, Illidan, those Lingering Soul Fragments will just have to stay in my bags another few months until I get around to gathering the rest of them. These squirrels and nuts aren’t just going to collect/kick themselves.”
