The Queue: I am dawdling

Just a lazy day escaping from prison on yet another alt.

I know it feels like everybody is 120 and doing World Quests already, but some of us are still kind of soaking in the content. I’m 116 on my DK as of this writing, and my other characters that I’m focusing on range from 113 to 111. I’m just not really in a major hurry. I mean, the only reason I’m even thinking about it is because I have a desire to get to 120 by Monday so I can run dungeons with my guildmates. But that’s basically it.

So yeah, this is the Queue. We’re all leveling at our own pace. If you have a question, leave it in the comments please.

Stopping a witch trial while literally looking like a demon is quite amusing

So far, clearing Drustvar’s quests/storyline on my Death Knight felt less like I’m a hero come to save the day and more like my Deathlord is furiously angry that the Heartsbane Coven is stealing my bit.

“Reanimating the dead? Cursing people, twisting their will and unleashing horrible magics? Defiling graves? That’s my thing, who told you that you could be creepy and awful on my watch!”

Like, that whole tea party quest? Yeah, no, I routinely reanimate armies of corpses and I was creeped the heck out by that thing. And when I finally got through the whole Drustvar/Waycrest storyline? Yeah, I definitely felt personally and professionally offended. You do not step up to the Deathlord with this whole unholy necromancy thing.

TFHLore QftQ: Obviously not all Illidari or Warlocks (or Priests, but who cares about them) return to Azeroth after Legion. Instead, they continue the campaign against the disparate Legion forces. Do you think they’re coordinating their attacks? Are the illidari taking control of more fel ships? Are the warlocks conquering more planetoids and enslaving demon armies? Are priests still floating about doing diddly squat about the Legion? Thoughts?

No. Everyone forgot about the Legion.

Honestly, I have no idea, but it certainly sounds plausible. I’m sure at least some members of every class who are still out there fighting the demons instead of coming home. Maybe they just feel like the war against the demons has changed them too much to go back, or that they can do more to safeguard Azeroth by making sure the Legion’s vast demon army doesn’t reunite under some ambitions Pit Lord or Nathrezim and come back again.

Because that’s the thing — we trapped Sargeras, sure, and we rampaged through Antorus, but the demons were regenerating and returning from the Twisting Nether way back before Sargeras even fell, so we’re definitely not out of the woods here. As soon as a significantly powerful demon rises to power, such as Ulthalesh was before it got jammed into a Scythe, the Legion or another force of demons could well pose a significant threat. So it makes sense to keep on the offensive there.

Anything I said about what they’re actually doing would be pure speculation, though. Until Blizzard comes along with an answer, anyway.

Q4TQ: What is your favorite dungeon so far? (Sorry those that are not 120 yet but I’m curious)

So far, although I’m not 120 yet, I love Waycrest Manor and I think Freehold is fun. I love the Drustvar storyline and Lucille Waycrest in particular is a standout character so I absolutely adored running Waycrest Manor. Especially since my DK was terribly, terribly offended by all the Heartsbane Cover.

Q4tQ: Do you worry about transmog while you’re leveling?

Yes.

Very much, yes.

Every single time I get an upgrade I try and transmog it to match my set immediately — in the SS above my DK is wearing gloves that do mot match and it’s driving me utterly batty. They. Don’t. Match.

I didn’t know, guys. I didn’t know the cinematic was coming. Terran Gregory warned me, but I didn’t listen.

Are Bees tameable hunter pets? If they are, I need to get them for my hunter for PvP and I can have them go after other players eyes!

Not only can I confirm that bees are tameable, there’s a quest in Drustvar named Not The Bees! and it is absolutely a reference to the movie you mentioned.

Q4tQ: Do you ever find yourself playing other games, seeing something cool, and then wishing Blizzard would incorporate something similar? Playing Octopath Traveler I unlocked the Warmaster class, which for their ultimate attack unleashes a barrage of powerful attacks using every weapon type. Found myself envisioning warriors getting this ability, attacking in quick succession with a sword, axe, mace, etc., and now I really want this.

My love affair with Diablo 3 is well known, and I’ve repeatedly said that I wish Warriors would steal more from the D3 Barbarian class, but that’s not the only thing I want Blizzard to shamelessly rip off from another game — I’d love for Warriors to borrow some tricks from the Vanguard class in Mass Effect: Andromeda and get the ability to explode with an AoE attack when they charge into something.

I’d also love it if WoW’s Paladins got an ability like the Crusader does, sort of like Titan’s Grip, but allowing them to use a 2h weapon and a shield. I also want Warriors to have this, but I admit if only one WoW class could get it then it should be Pallies. Make it a later tier talent like level 60 or 75, perhaps.

Oddly enough, I also want Mages to get Time Stop, the D&D spell. Imagine it as a really powerful crowd control that holds everyone in place and lets you whale on them for like six seconds while they can’t do anything. I would hate it like fire every time a Mage used it on me.

Okay, that’s the Queue for Friday, August 17th, 2018. I put the date in just in case you’re a time traveler.
