What are you perfectly content grinding out over several expansions?

The Ashhide Mushan Beast was added to World of Warcraft back in Mists of Pandaria, some five-and-a-half years ago. It costs 500 Bloody Coins, which you get by killing enemy players while under the effects of Censer of Eternal Agony or — a couple small updates to the game later — Fire-Watcher’s Oath. The latter was a battleground-friendly version designed to make earning the Coins much easier overall, since it didn’t require you to be on the Timeless Isle and also didn’t turn you hostile against your own faction.

For a while, Fire-Watchers were all over the Timeless Isle, making it fairly easy to farm Bloody Coins, especially if you joined a PVP raid and didn’t have as high a risk of dying. Over time, this died down, of course — but you still had the Oath that could be used in battlegrounds. My goal back then was to run as many BGs as I could while using the Oath and then get the mount as quickly as possible. But over time, that goal changed. It wasn’t something I was actively pursuing anymore — but it also wasn’t something I was forgetting.

It was just there, something I’d click on when I engaged in PVP if I remembered to. And if I didn’t remember? There’s always next time. This casualness toward Bloody Coin farming has continued throughout several expansions, to the point where I’m still only at 300-some Coins and not really in any rush to farm them any faster than comes naturally. It’s a weird feeling, to be honest — that’s not usually my approach to stuff like this. But it’s also a nice feeling.

But it has me curious. Are there things in WoW you’ve been working on for ages, but don’t really care how long it takes to complete? Is there something out there that doesn’t frustrate you if you forget about it in a given week? What is it you’re completely fine taking your time to finish?
