I don’t know who exactly piped up at Blizzard and said “Hey, you know what we need? A disco, right smack in the middle of the Auction House,” but they deserve a raise. Or cookies. Or something along those lines, because this was without a doubt the best mini-holiday in game so far. The place was packed all day long, the Karazhan-disco fusion music was amazing, and everyone was thrilled to be there. I don’t know about every weekend, but I wish this were a monthly event, like the Darkmoon Faire. It was nice to just ditch all Legion-defeating responsibility and go hang out and dance for a while.

Don’t feel bad about yawning, Lisbeth. I’m pretty sure if I were stuck behind a counter in Stormwind for as long as you’ve been, I’d feel exactly the same way. Let’s get to your questions, why don’t we?

The Queue: Ragebow Road

I spent a lot of time playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on 200cc with my brothers over the past few days, and, man, is it crazy how fast you go. It’s a blast, but it’s also as frustrating as you’d expect from a Mario Kart game. Worst of all is the newest rendition of Rainbow Road, which has a million ways to fall off and a level which I CANNOT SEEM TO DRIVE WELL ON NO MATTER WHAT.

Grumble grumble. Let’s do some question-answering.

Side bar: Man, you guys asked a lot of questions yesterday. It’s not usually hard to find a solid amount of them without having to pick and choose, but that wasn’t the case yesterday. My apologies if yours didn’t get answered!

I really just wanted a screenshot of the crazy pretty skybox over Wyrmrest Temple in the leadup to the Ultraxion encounter, but said dragon managed to photobomb every shot. I guess it’s not enough that he’s there to unmake the world, he has to ruin all my photos while he’s at it. …good thing he’s a loot pinata at this point.

The Queue: Inspirational

I have a mild obsession with InspiroBot, and it is entirely thanks to you folks. I’m pretty sure Liz would not appreciate the comments consisting wholly of inspirational quotes, but I’m also even more pretty sure they would make me laugh heartily. Do with that information as you will.

Now, onto the good stuff — oh, and I’ve fixed last week’s oversight this time around. Very sorry about that!

The Queue: What’s up

I really like it when raids and dungeons are interactive spaces, in terms of layout. It was really cool going into the Cathedral of Eternal Night and being able to look down and see the opening room from the Tomb of Sargeras raid below. It’s even cooler to go into that lower level during the Tomb of Sargeras raid and look up — you can see little hints of the Twilight Grove gardens high above. It just makes the space feel gigantic, without actually needing to be the kind of slog you hate running back through in the event of a raid wipe, you know?

The Queue: Happy 2017th birthday, America!

Today is the Fourth of July, which means most people will be spending the day relaxing and the night reveling. For me, this holiday has always felt a lot like New Year’s Eve — not only is it almost at the exact opposite end of the calendar, but it’s also largely a lot of build-up to a nighttime showing of lights and noise.

I definitely prefer it over New Year’s, but it’s still one of those holidays that, as a kid, I used to look forward to greatly because it meant staying up late and playing with explosives. At some point, it went from something I was excited about to something I remembered being excited about, which means it’s hard to ever live up to what I remember it feeling like.

But y’know what? I’m still going to make things explode and have fun doing so. I hope all you Stateside folks do the same!

The Queue: Follow that bird

Look, I’m not exactly unhappy about all the mounts you can get with Paragon rep, or the gorgeous array of new class themed mounts available. But look at that bird. Look at that amazing bird. I mean, it’s probably just a spell courtesy of Khadgar and all, but…I want that shiny bird. Can we get that shiny bird? I need to add it to my collection.

I’m just saying.

The Queue: Just the right amount

What? It’s not like I didn’t warn you guys!

Now let’s get to the remaining seven questions.

The Queue: It is Tuesday

This title is factually accurate.

Thanks again for helping me with my question last week! Now let’s move on to your question!

The Queue: This dragon escaped from the Internet

Guys, E3 is pretty legit crazy. I got to meet up with our very own gone but certainly not forgotten Fox Van Allen, wander the halls, take in the scenery, not get eaten by wayward dragons, and play some video games. I think I still prefer BlizzCon though — E3 is a convention, but BlizzCon always feels like the biggest family reunion ever. Oh, and I’d also like to thank Alex for covering for me last week while I was away. Let’s get on to your questions!

The Queue: The Richter scale

Happy Tombsday, everyone!

You know what instantly endears me to a show or movie? An original score that blows me away. Such is the case with The Leftovers, which recently ended its run after three incredible seasons and is, frankly, underrated. It managed to reinvent itself every season while still feeling like the same show. I can see how the show isn’t for everyone, but personally, it’s one that I will forever consider influential on how I write.

What’s your underrated/inspirational show/movie/book? Give it a thought, and maybe read some questions while ya do.

The Queue: This pear, so delicious

I have to say, despite the hassle at the end, I really enjoyed the Rogue class mount quests. They made me remember why I like playing a Rogue so much — skulking around in the middle of places I definitely should not be. It took a little longer than expected to carry out the last leg of the mission, but it was totally worth it.

…I don’t think I’m going to show my face in Stormwind again for a while, though.

The Queue: The lovable quip-meister

Hello, everyone! Just your friendly neighborhood Mitch dropping by to say the Tuesday Queue belongs to me now! Mwahahahaha!

…Okay, but really, it’s pretty dang cool to have my own Queue day. It’s something I’ve daydreamed about for a long time, and it’s an honor to be able to say that daydream is now a reality. Better yet, I’ll be on the podcast regularly starting today (Note: It’s now an hour earlier), which makes Tuesdays All-You-Can-Mitch Day. Or something. I don’t know, I’m tired.

Anyhow, follow your dreams, kids! Unless you only have bad dreams or you dream about being financially irresponsible. Then don’t. And with that all said, let’s do some Qing and Aing.
