Is anyone else kind of hoping that with the resolution of Suramar’s storyline, we might actually see some Nightborne explorers checking out the world? I mean, they’ve been in that bubble for ten thousand years or so. You’d think they’d want to check out all the stuff they missed, right? Even if they don’t become some kind of playable race, I’d still love to see them expand beyond the Broken Isles.

On the one hand, I think the Spring Balloon Festival is my favorite micro-holiday so far. I mean, you get to kick back and listen to a tour guide take you through various points of interest in various areas around the world. Relaxing, right? The only drawback to this is that you have to have three people present before you go on a ride. If nobody else happens to be around, you’re out of luck — and that doesn’t really feel very good. I wish it’d just let you hop in solo if nobody else happens to be nearby. Maybe next time they’ll have that option? Let’s hope so.

If you haven’t used the Whole Body Shrinka’ and taken a stroll around Dalaran, I highly recommend it. There’s nothing like being a few inches tall to make all those little details in the scenery really stand out. It kind of takes the phrase “fresh perspective” to a completely different level, doesn’t it?

The Queue: Legends of the hidden temple

The real history of the Tomb of Sargeras is almost kind of lost in the sea of black and fel green that has mostly consumed the Broken Shore at this point. I mean, the signs indicating it was a Night Elf temple at one point in history are all there, but they get a little washed out. Unlocking flying means that players can get a closer look at the place, and it’s worth it — the design of the former Temple of Elune is pretty amazing, fel green tint or no.

The Queue: A very bad yak

This is not a good yak. I know he might look fluffy and inviting. I know you’d really like to pet him, or maybe feed him a carrot or whatever yaks like to eat. But you should probably avoid doing both of these things, because he is a very bad yak. Trust me, this yak has no good intentions towards you. He’s the worst.

The Queue: A very bad beam

This is not a good beam. I know it looks all shiny. I know you just got flying, and want to explore everything there is to explore. But you should probably avoid this beam, because it is a very bad beam. Trust me, this beam has no good intentions towards you. Stay away from it. It’s the worst.

The Queue: Reflection

I really liked Blizzard’s newest short story. I gotta say I wasn’t expecting Nathanos Blightcaller’s story to take a Mulan detour, but I was delighted that we got a canon explanation for his sudden model change. I mean I remember fighting Blightcaller back in vanilla, and he was just another mildly horrifying Forsaken model. It was a little weird to see him suddenly emerge as a strangely beautiful corpsified man with no acknowledgement of the change.

I can fly in the Broken Shore now, and it’s everything I ever wanted. I honestly forgot how much I missed it. Reminder, this weekend is a World Quests Bonus Event weekend, so get your boosted rep and hit the skies a little faster, if you haven’t already.

The Queue: Extended narrative

I like how it feels like there’s this little hidden narrative going on in all material related to King’s Row. I don’t know if it’s the same blonde and omnic couple being depicted in every clip, but I like to think it is. I bet they’ve got a really good story to tell.

The Queue: Not quite flying

Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!

I’m less than a day or two from flying in Legion. On the one hand I’m really looking forward to being able to see my favorite vistas from the skies. On the other, I’m wondering how long it’s going to take me to remember that I’ve actually learned flying. I predict a good month or so of absentmindedly running around on ground mounts before it finally sinks in.
