Shaman, Priests, and Paladins rejoice! World Boss Valinor, the Light of Eons, has spawned again in Bastion!

Finally, after so many weeks — three, technically — of other World Bosses dropping their guaranteed Legendary Runecarver Memories, it is time for Paladins, Priests, and Shamans to have their week in the sun again. Valinor, the Light of Eons, last of the World Bosses, has arrived in Bastion to be killed for 250 Anima and the hope of loot.

In addition to the Anima that is rewarded for killing the world boss and the guaranteed Memories, Valinor can also drop…

  • ilevel 207 armor (between Normal and Heroic Castle Nathria loot drops)
  • ilevel 200 Conduits

The following Memories drop from Valinor as well:

Valinor is located in Northwest Bastion in the Citadel of Loyalty, closet to the Terrace of the Collectors flight point. Like the other world bosses there are quite a few hostile mobs in the way (unless you carefully follow somebody else who pulls them instead), and there are some elites on the platform surrounding Valinor. You’ll also not want to head due west from the flight point as there are elites camped out on the balcony overlooking the boss; instead angle north or south to avoid the balcony. There are still mobs in those directions, but they are more easily avoided.

If you don’t have access to the Terrace of the Collectors flight point, Sagehaven is next closest and has an unimpeded path to the Terrace of the Collectors. If you haven’t unlocked Sagehaven, any other Bastion flight point is viable to getting there along the roads which are safe.

The fight itself is pretty much a joke; don’t stand clustered together, and avoid the bad. Like Nurgash last week, Valinor also takes a nap, although it sounds like there’s supposed to be an attack by mobs during Valinor’s nap — either the fight is bugged or it only calls living mobs already on the boss platform (so if it’s cleared out, no adds attack).

Next week, the World Boss cycle begins anew with Mortanis, providing Memories for Monks, Rogues, and Warriors who may have missed it before.
