How to buy BlizzCon 2023 tickets July 8 and July 22

After a long interruption due to Covid-19, an in-person BlizzCon is returning to the Anaheim Convention Center on November 3 and 4 this year, but to attend, first you need to buy a ticket. Taking place four years after the previous one, BlizzCon 2023 promises to be a hot ticket for those who have missed the annual gathering.

Tickets will go on sale July 8 at 10 a.m. PDT and July 22 at 10 a.m. PDT on AXS. If you don’t have an AXS account, you should definitely create one before the sale starts. BlizzCon tickets tend to go roughly as quickly as Taylor Swift tickets, so you’ll want to be as ready as you possibly can be at the exact time they go on sale.

There are two tiers of in-person tickets: General Admission for $299, and the Portal Pass for $799. There are no details forthcoming on the third tier we’ve seen in prior BlizzCons, which had all the extra perks of the Portal Pass — a special VIP lounge, extra swag, and early access — but with a heftier price tag which included a charitable donation to CHOC. Those third tier of tickets usually went on sale after all the usual tickets were sold, often seen as a last-ditch effort to get a ticket if you were desperate, but it should be noted that the current Portal Pass pricetag is more expensive than that third tier was at prior BlizzCons.

If all of the above is a bit out of your budget, you’re still in luck: there will be a completely free Virtual Ticket where you can watch the big panels and highlights from the comfort of your living room. The paid Virtual Ticket, which grants access to even more content, plus digital swag, like Blizzard-themed Overwatch 2 skins or murloc battle pets in WoW, is also returning for 2023.

It’s important to note that purchasing tickets from a third-party site is generally not recommended due to omnipresent concern of scams and thieves, and it is actually illegal in California to sell tickets for higher than the purchase price. In the past, sites such as LFBlizzCon — no longer in operation — were excellent portals for buying and selling tickets legally but until such a site arrives and gets endorsement from Blizzard it is best to be wary.
