Player Housing was up first in the lineup of topics for this show, because of course it is. Every bit of new info we get, we're excited about -- though Joe is a bit concerned about the concept of leveling up our house. There are a bunch of new appearances to get across a number of franchises, too. Plus, how many legs does a crocolisk have to have in order to be classed as a crocolisk, anyhow? A spirited debate over the new six month subscription incentive ensues. A big thank you to our special guest Six for keeping things interesting.

Hey everybody and welcome to the Blizzard Watch podcast. Uh I'm Matt. With me this week are my two usual
0:16
fantastic co-hosts and of course our special guest co-host. Uh we'll go with a special guest first. 6K. Uh hi. Just
0:23
say hi to him guys. Now you can say hi to actually move. Am I saying hi to myself? Yeah, go ahead. tell yourself we like
0:30
seeing you. How are you doing today? How are you doing? Uh pretty okay. It's been an adventurous
0:36
month with so many other things in travel going on, but I'm glad I can be here today. Yeah, that's really great. And we
0:41
actually got to have a fun pre-show talking about really weird old D and D. So, there's that, too. Uh Joe and Liz
0:48
are also here. Um I sometimes say something like, "Shi, Joe," and then Joe says, "Hi, Joe." Uh I haven't done that
0:55
in a while, and I feel kind of bad, so I'm not feeling down. Say hi, Joe. Hey, he didn't do it.
1:00
Nope. Oh god, he didn't do it. He subverted expectations. I'm going to cry. Uh, also, hello, Liz.
1:07
Hello. Uh, I guess we're just going to jump right on into some stuff here because we've got a fair amount about player
1:13
housing uh from this preview that went out. So, who wants to talk about player housing first? Um,
1:19
got it. Okay. Well, it's either Lo, Liz, or Joe, and I don't think it's Joe. So, Liz,
1:25
the player housing. We did indeed learn a whole bunch this week with a new preview that talked about neighborhoods
1:32
and encounters. Specifically, encounters are just events within your neighborhood. Uh so there are two kinds
1:40
of neighborhoods. There's a public neighborhood and a private neighborhood. Any uh public neighborhoods are kind of
1:46
it sounds like they're spun up as needed. So as players need housing, they'll spin up a new private
1:52
neighborhood. They are semi- randomly named uh and encounters in them will be
1:59
not encounters I'm saying encounters endeavors endeavors in them will be set up randomly then there are private
2:08
neighborhoods which are either you form your own you kind of decide okay I want
2:13
a neighborhood with all my friends and you form a charter neighborhood or you
2:19
form a guild neighborhood which is all of your guild mates all neighbor neighborhoods with an exception are
2:25
limited to 50 players except for guild neighborhoods which are the size of your
2:30
guild. Everyone in your guild can have a home in your guild neighborhood and it will just keep spinning up little uh
2:37
add-on instances I guess for extra space until you have all the guild members in.
2:43
Uh so yeah, and encounters in neighborhoods
2:49
are just kind of events based on the
2:54
based on like endeavors. Man, I'm never going to get this right. It's uh they're
3:01
neighborhoodwide events. They occur once a month. They might represent different factions or cultures from the game world
3:08
or events that are happening in the wider world might come in. They can bring vendors and things like that into
3:16
your neighborhood. So, you'll complete tasks like which might be crafting
3:21
things. It might be running dungeons which will earn you currency to buy decor and level up your house. Yes, your
3:30
house has a level now. Uh, and Blizzard showed one screen of your house level
3:37
which looked a lot like a renown screen. like you level up your house and you get access to more cool cosmetic things.
3:44
Am I alone in the fact that that immediately turned me off of housing? Like I now am super skeptical cuz I
3:50
don't want to level my housing. I just we don't know anything about it. Like there was one screenshot showing
3:59
this. So it's like is this going to be difficult? Are you just going to advance this on the natural course of playing? I
4:06
don't know. I'm I'm comparing it to like other housing and other games and like just how it's been.
4:11
And you didn't level your housing. You got a plot and what you did in the world earned you stuff to go do it.
4:18
If housing feels like a grind, even if it's a Yeah. Like not a bad grind, but still a grind.
4:24
I'm just going to go ahead and say it. You've just now made something that I've been looking forward to for almost two
4:30
decades immediately unappealing to me. I don't want to I don't want to renown track for every damn thing in the game.
4:37
Here's the thing. I don't disagree with you, but at the same time, I can think of a way that it would it would flip me
4:42
right back to wanting to do this if I literally play as my house. If my house
4:50
gets up out of the ground and goes on adventures, you mean like Baba Yaga's hut. I was going to say go full Baba Yaga.
4:56
Yeah. and and goes around like like some kind of like wooden stone mech
5:02
that I can basically pilot into combat. It would make vehicle stuff interesting to me again and it would make me just
5:09
the idea of me my house basically just going around punching things in the face
5:14
and getting to experience the level. You start with Baba Yaga, you work your way into house moving castle and you
5:19
finish it up with one of the titans from Warhammer. See, and I like I like that concept of that stuff, but if there's a
5:25
a renown grind with it, I won't engage with it. Like, just period. Like, it's I
5:30
It depends on how leveling works. If you just if literally if you if you just get levels in house as you play and don't
5:38
have to do a grind for it, that's one thing. But if you literally have to grind this stuff, it's starting to turn
5:44
into that whole deal with with uh the my god, man. It's World of Denar. I can't
5:49
remember this what they called it. Garrisons. Thank you. Uh like the whole deal with garrisons where you had to like go and plot out
5:55
everything in the garrison and then you'd have to like go do the the mini game to get experience for like you know
6:02
to level up your stable. Yeah. That that that doesn't I don't want to have to spend a lot of time managing this. I
6:07
just want it to be a fun thing that I have. I get it. I mean it'd be really funny if the the the leveling of the houses also
6:13
gave you levels to your houses. Like level four, now it's a four-story house. Yeah. I mean, although this says Cosma's
6:20
house and it's apparently up to level seven. I think a sevenstory house is getting a little nuts. Although, it'd be
6:27
kind of cool if it was like a Caraz Amazon deal where it didn't actually get bigger on the outside, but you go inside and you're like, "What's these new
6:33
rooms?" Yeah. It's like level three leads to level seven leads to level 17. Your house in is indeed a TARDIS. It is.
6:40
It can be whatever you want it to be inside and it doesn't have to match the outside. See, and if it was a place for
6:46
madness, I could really get behind that. Like, if it was just like twisting things, walking on walls, like gravity
6:51
was different in different rooms. I'd love it if they just allowed us to introduce as much chaos into the thing as possible to different degrees. But
6:58
they probably do have to bring it down for, you know, for various reasons. I mean, I run into a weird issue with
7:03
housing, which is that all of my characters like thematically are vagrants. None of them have housing.
7:09
And and I would prefer like they could actually like just live off of a train like actual hobos, but they're going to
7:16
make us just have to lay go to stationary places. Well, I everybody knows that I play a ton of Fallout 4 and
7:22
so I'm going to bring up something that I've done a lot of settlement building and lately I've gotten into the Baroque
7:29
architecture phase of settlement building where I start making gigantic towers and there's a there's a height
7:36
limit for for uh Fallout 4 settlements and they all have different ones.
7:41
Does it does it go up if you hit neocclassicism? No. But unfortunately, uh, in order to
7:47
even do it, you have to basically download mods because the build limit to
7:52
keep the game from exploding is so is relatively low compared to all the stuff you'd want to build. Um, I don't I don't
8:00
want this to turn into something where people feel constrained. And that's the problem. That's what my in my mind the
8:07
biggest problem with having the house have a level um is that I don't want people to feel
8:12
constrained by I can only get to so like this level to do this thing and I'm working to do it. I don't care
8:19
necessarily if it's grindy so much as I care if it if it actually becomes a capital G grind
8:26
that people are like you know like I think Joe's reaction is perfectly illustrative of why I'm leerary of this.
8:34
Mhm. Um cuz cuz you know, yeah, I I want this to just be a fun thing I can do. I don't
8:40
want it to be something where I have to log on and do my chores at my house. I I I have chores at the house I live in.
8:46
The the main the main crux of the problem for me is there's already enough in housing that's going to keep you
8:53
engaged with it as it is before you even get to this. you like doing stuff to
8:58
acquire things to put in your house is already a satisfying enough loop to get
9:03
people to engage with it. Why add more systems on top of it? And the my concern
9:11
is that whenever there is a good thing, they over complicate it and they
9:16
overengineer it and then it it almost ruins the simplicity and fun of it for
9:22
for me. And I know I'm not alone in that. I know other people have expressed it as well. Uh, but it's like sometimes
9:27
I just want to go out and I've already spent time doing the raid. I don't want to then go ahead and spend another 3
9:34
hours, you know, doing whatever menial task or whatever to try to get that last bit of of renown this week so that I can
9:41
put that new raid item into my house. So, it could go it could be fine. It could be nothing. But the the mere
9:49
mention of it means that they are looking at to me it's a design philosophy that
9:54
screams they're looking at ways to force you to engage with it longer than you maybe would have and it's already cool.
10:02
Like it's already rad. People are already jazzed for it. You don't need to put stuff on there like that. It's like
10:07
it's it's like with the raids. We were talking about this in guild, right? How many people enjoy the renown uh grinding
10:16
inside of the current raid tier, right? Like, see,
10:21
I just don't I just don't care about the renowned grind. Like, I go in and I get some renown and I unlock rewards as I
10:28
go. So, that that one at least doesn't bother me because I'm just okay. This
10:33
these are rewards I get for participating in this content and I don't have to do anything extra. I just
10:39
come on raid died. Yeah, which is fine, but the the we were just talking about this. We still are doing the current raid tier to get
10:47
people to the current max renown so they can get their mounts and we've been done
10:53
with this content and sort of moving on and waiting for the next stuff forever long. So, they've successfully like got
10:59
us to engage with this longer than we normally would have. And some people I
11:05
can tell are already getting burned out because we've been seeing this stuff forever. It's like what if Siege of Ogar
11:11
but you got something for being stuck in there, right? Like it's I don't mind
11:16
renown. I don't mind the concept of earning reputation. I don't mind that at all. But there's a balance and they have
11:24
already proven that they don't know what that balance is yet. They might be adjusting it with stuff that's coming. We'll probably talk about that. I think
11:29
we have stuff in there uh for the Rushy laps and rushy raps. Wow. Say that 10
11:35
times fast and other stuff. But again, yeah, it sounds it sounds like something a bad
11:40
It's meant to be doing an accent would say, but it's just something it's meant to be the enemy of podcasts.
11:46
It is. Uh but it's just something that I hope that like I hope that renown getting attached to literally everything
11:52
is not just the new norm going forward. Like again, attaching it to a a rep when you're working on questing for
11:57
something. Okay, that makes sense. You're you're earning rep anyway. It's just another way of saying reputation.
12:03
Okay, whatever. Not a big deal. You're doing that stuff anyway. And if you want to keep grinding it, you grind it. Uh
12:09
but if it's for like housing, why why do I need to be renowned with my house? I
12:15
do think that it's like Liz's point that it's, you know, if it's like the if the encounters area, the endeavors work the
12:23
way that that the trading post does where you just get trading post,
12:29
you know, attendees for doing stuff that you're just doing. Uh, it would it would be relatively unobtrusive
12:36
maybe, but also like think of how many times you scramble or how many people scramble to get the last stuff done for
12:41
the trading post to get that transmog or to get something at the end of it. I'm one of the craziest transmog people
12:48
in the world and I never did that. Like I mean if
12:54
it depends on the individual and I'm going to I'm going to throw this in there because it's funny and I think we need some levity in there. Uh my
13:00
partners who's listening to the recording live here uh just said that I'm pretty sure being renowned to your
13:05
house is just the plot to date everything and they're not wrong. Oh yeah, it's it's pretty close
13:11
actually. I just I just looked at date everything. Um but you know the thing about being renowned with your house I'm
13:17
sorry if you own or have rented the same place for a long time you kind of know what that is because I we had to get a
13:25
new furnace at one point. I'm like, "What? That's supposed to last 20 years?" Nope. Nope. Give me one now. So,
13:32
the house, I can get where they're going, but I I do agree that I don't want to have to level the house. Like,
13:38
but if I again, if I can take the house on adventures, if I can like literally
13:44
rip the house out of the ground, it like grows it grows legs like rags, like rag legs, and then it just punches
13:51
itself up and it's like got the rag legs and then like maybe at level two it the arms come out. Like I I could get into
13:57
that. I I could really enjoy that kind of thing, but I don't think they're going to do that. I feel like that's
14:03
that's not what this is for. They already let us customize the dragons. They let us customize the uh
14:08
those weird flying glider things for the war within and stuff. Why can't they just like let us customize some legs for
14:14
our house that we're customizing? I mean, I'm not saying they shouldn't. I just don't think they're going to. But uh at this point, we should probably
14:19
move on. Oh, go ahead, Liz. I do I do want to make the point I feel like housing is something Blizzard is letting
14:25
us look at in pretty early development or earlier development than we would
14:31
usually see. Like you know a lot of the times we see a feature and it's it's done.
14:36
It's pretty done. This is what they're going to release maybe with some balance tweaks but this is it. And we're getting
14:42
these a lot of previews of housing little bits and pieces of the work in progress. So, I feel like if we have
14:50
criticism about this, if we don't like it, this is this is the best time to tell them because we have seen them
14:56
changing things and shaking things up based on player feedback. So, I I'm
15:01
going to stress to everyone out there, talk to Blizzard about this. And also, they have not given us a whole lot of
15:08
details about endeavors about leveling your house really. So
15:14
maybe this is maybe they're thinking of something that's a total headache or maybe they're thinking of something of
15:19
like you just get one house level a week or something. I
15:25
Right. So, we don't know, but this is the time to give feedback. And I I'm I'm still at least there's a glimmer of hope
15:32
in my heart, which is it's pretty rare. Honestly, for me, even if I turned out
15:38
to not like house leveling, the basic thing you get would be enough, and I I
15:44
wouldn't need to level it up. Just to have my own little cottage in the woods where my old old old original warrior
15:52
who's all gray and beat up and can actually tell stories about Molten Corb both ways upstream. Uh like he could
15:59
just go and hang out at his house and be like, "I'm going to nap now. I'm going to nap. I married a night elf. That was
16:05
the worst thing I ever did in my life. I love her, but she she to her this was our entire relationship was like a week
16:12
and to me it's been all of my adult life. and I'm going to die soon and she's just going to be like, "Wow, that
16:18
was sad." And then go on and get another human, I guess. I don't know. Like maybe we're like cats to her.
16:24
To your point, I mean, that's what people in game do right now with characters they don't want to play anymore, but don't want to, you know,
16:29
delete that they have a history with. I parked I parked my favorite place in the world. Yeah,
16:35
I parked my eye out in his garage. Yeah, absolutely. And I think that I would like just that. So, if we get other
16:42
stuff and it's cool, that's cool. Great. But I do think we should move on because we've been talking about this for what?
16:47
Um, actually not as long as I thought. Only 20 minutes. Um, so to go on about housing now.
16:53
No, stop. We're going to talk about winds of mysterious fortune. We're talking about a wins. They're mysterious. They're
16:59
fortunate. They're back, right? It's they're back as of today. Yes. They're now live. And it's just
17:05
it's a big leveling boost. Mhm. And rep for like a bunch of stuff from uh this
17:11
and uh bonus reputation from or for both Dragonflight factions and the War Within
17:18
factions. So I think we talked about this a little last week and it's it's
17:23
live now. Big buffs to faction reputation, big experience boost for all
17:28
of your alts below 80. They put the undermines up on it too, right? Yes. So, the undermined factions are now
17:35
in there. If you are behind on your undermin factions, which I am because I cannot be bothered to keep grinding each
17:43
individual goblin cartel, and I probably still can't be bothered. But for those
17:48
of you who can be bothered, you will get double reputation with those factions. And also, Flames Radiance, the Hallow
17:55
Fall faction that was added recently. Uh, so yeah, it's it's good for
18:01
everybody. And it's going to o it'll overlap with the Dark Moon Fair in the
18:07
first week of August. So you have super super leveling time to come.
18:13
Nice. And also we we will all be bothered again to uh level those cartels
18:18
uh starting August 5th because that's when all the new uh crests come in and
18:24
that's probably going to be a way to earn them is to just go back and level those things as well. But that that this gets back to like my power leveling
18:29
guides on how to just get all the crests and stones and everything else you need like in an hour or something. But yeah, no, it's uh the uh they came in just as
18:37
a dastasterly duos went quietly into the night. Uh yes, farewell dastardly duos. I I
18:43
don't think anyone's going to miss you. They were fun for a little while and then I moved on with my life.
18:49
I mean it's it looked very interesting, but the most fun I had with it was people just putting up those stands in the middle of u in the middle of the
18:56
city. So people could stand on them and it would just be 000 scores as first, second, and third place.
19:01
I'm talking about fell cappy bears now. Okay. So
19:07
tell us about fell cappy bears. They're cute. They're kind of fell. They come from the ghosts of cares ecological
19:14
succession uh feature, which is basically the etherealss and their kind
19:19
of buddies, the the you know the bro I want to say brokers. brokers. But this
19:26
is this is this is Venari trying to repopulate Kesh with animals. And we all
19:31
know we can trust Venari to help us out. We can trust Venari to betray us.
19:37
Um anyway, basically you want yourself a fell Cappy Barrow, which you're going to have to do. Uh, I first off it's like
19:46
the model is it's like fantastically accurate for Tavy Baris up until it gets
19:53
the giant fell crown. Well, you've got to have antlers. I'm
19:58
just going to say that you got to get fell energy in there. You've got to get the vibes right.
20:05
And Captain are by their nature so such gentle,
20:10
peaceful creatures. You you got to add something to get the fell. But what's also interesting about cappy
20:17
bears is not only they gentle, peaceful creatures, but apparently almost nothing
20:22
will hunt them. Like anacondas are pretty much it for hunting gapy bears.
20:28
Even jaguars will just be like chilling around and and a capy barrel will come
20:34
by and the jaguar will be like, "Hey man, I could totally eat you if I wanted to, but I don't not going to cuz you're
20:40
chill." Um, so to have this as a pet in WoW, even if it is a fel one, I I don't
20:46
care. I am so unbelievably excited. Um, I I I I just O, they got a fell
20:54
green, void magenta, a vivid blue, um, which is supposed to be Ardan Wieldy,
21:00
and a fiery red orange. So, this is I I'm I'm so happy. I'm so very happy.
21:08
It's like if you want to get a sense of what Cabby Barrows look like in real life, imagine a stoned guinea pig 10
21:16
times the normal size. And that's not too far off. Uh, and this the thing I like about this is that its face does
21:22
convey that kind of I don't want to say placid, but I don't know the better word for just the calm stillness of the capy
21:29
barra. Like the face actually seems to have that. And I I'm so excited. And then of course again it's got a it's got
21:36
a satellite dish on its head full of green or purple or whatever the color you've chosen uh for your tappy bar.
21:43
Now are these are are these battle pets? Are these actual animals that we can tame and all the beast mastery hunters can lose their minds over.
21:49
This one right now as far as I understand the one you get from her. It's a it's a battle pet.
21:54
Okay. Um might be a mount for all I know. Uh I I don't see anything about that. But you
22:01
know, I've I've missed these things before. They are battle saying no. Who's saying no? Just just battle pants.
22:07
They look too cute to mount, but I have mounted cuter. Okay. Context. Um no, I I honestly this
22:14
this is really cool. Uh I I just wanted to bring it up. Uh first off, you get to see Venari again and get snarked by one
22:21
of the greatest voice actresses in history. Um that is true. And secondly, you get this
22:28
thing and it's just it's a I'll tell you up front all the spikes are also something you probably have to worry
22:34
about a little if you're trying to ride it. So it's maybe just as well because it is covered in in spikes as well
22:40
because cuz Azeroth or I guess in this case cuz not cuz Azeroth. I just imagine there's a department of
22:46
spikes that like everything has to go through and be like does that have enough spikes? I don't know. Let's add this.
22:51
Does it have saber teeth? No. No, it doesn't. No invisible teeth at all. Then it's got to have more spikes.
22:56
It's It's not leaving the office till it gets those teeth. Tusks or spikes? You pick one. Okay, I
23:03
guess we'll have we'll have spikes on the Capidar. Good to go. I'm just imagining the interview process
23:08
and it's just showing people pictures of spikes. So, what's your feeling on this? How about this?
23:14
Yeah, it kind of feels almost like an ASMR video. And here we got happy little spikes on the cap bar. Just happy little
23:20
spikes. But regardless, it's it's yet another pet that I will get. I will never pet battle it. Um I will just have
23:27
it and I will like every so often take it out and just wander around with it like I do with a sloth who just rides
23:34
around on me like a backpack. If this thing could ride around on me like a backpack, I would just never take him
23:39
off. I would just have a cappy bear on me all the time. Especially if most of him was hidden behind me, but the giant
23:45
head spikes were still visible. So it would just look like I had huge flaming, you know, fell antlers. I could be down
23:51
for that. Although make it would make your demon hunter look busy and you don't want that. It would compete. It would compete.
23:57
But we've talked about the fell cappy bar. So now we can talk about something I'm I'm kind of like looking at it going, "Oh god, what happens?" Uh, we're
24:04
having some bank changes coming in Ghost of Kesh. They're getting rid of the reagent bank or void storage. Um,
24:10
and void storage gone. Gone. I don't know why I said or. That's an odd thing. Um, so yeah. Uh, I'm not
24:18
entirely sure. Like the Tabard bank sounds kind of cool. Uh, I I just don't
24:23
know. Like are they just going to throw away all the stuff I have in void storage or does it come back into my
24:28
bank? No, it's okay. And I got a lot of stuff in void storage.
24:34
You Sorry, Liz. Go all you. In in theory, yes, you will get all of it back. In practice, you know, they
24:41
have when they rolled out war banks, there was some some messy stuff. Some people lost stuff and I the vibe I am
24:50
getting about this change is extreme weariness. It does seem
24:55
maybe we might want to if you if you're worried about it, you might want to take your stuff out. I don't got bag space, man. Like my bag
25:01
my banks are full. I do not have bag space at all on my main character to
25:06
pull stuff out. I don't have space on my alt uh my main alt to pull stuff out.
25:13
like I barely have bag space. And people are going to be like, "Well, Joe, why do you barely Why do you barely have a bag
25:20
space?" That's not the point. We're not talking about that. But it that's not the point. Shut up. Mind your
25:26
own business. I can tell you why. I'm just going I'm a hoarder. I'm a digital hoarder. But I'm just rolling
25:32
the dice. Like I I can't like I'm just going to see what happens because well, we've come this far. Honestly, for for
25:39
my for my original main character, I don't think there's any way I could take all my void storage out. I think it's
25:45
completely full. Like I think I've absolutely filled void storage. Uh so there's no way that I could get all that
25:51
stuff in my bank. It just it wouldn't fit. Um so we'll see what happens. It feels it feels like this is designed
25:58
to make your player bank more like the war bank and use the same uh kind of
26:05
systems. So, instead of having a bank with bags
26:10
where you've purchased whatever bags you have and thrown them in the bank, it's going to have tabs of various sizes.
26:17
Each tab, I say various sizes, each tab has 98 slots of storage. You can
26:22
purchase up to six tabs. All tabs will automatically be unlocked at level 80.
26:30
So, you just have all of that. Um, the change sounds good. This is much simpler
26:36
than having to buy bags and manage your bag space in your in your bank, but it
26:42
is a change that seems like a pretty significant change. Uh, and we'll we'll
26:48
just see how it works out. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that this will not cause huge massive problems. I mean,
26:54
we kind of did the test run by rolling out war banks. Maybe this will be fine.
27:00
I hope it's less expensive. It is. It is. And I also kind of hope quite frankly that
27:06
people who have gone to the trouble of getting all these giant bags to put in their banks to so their banks would hold
27:12
more stuff at least get to keep their bags. Uh they shouldn't just vanish when
27:18
the they become tabs instead. I think it would be nice.
27:23
So I've got $5 that everything including the bags will be mailed to you if you just are absolutely ignorant on all
27:29
this. But we don't know because it hasn't happened yet. And this, it's my
27:34
understanding. I mean, maybe I've just been ignorant, but this was pretty much a shocker. Like, I didn't know it was
27:39
about to happen. I know a lot of other people didn't. Did you guys know this was in the works? Nope.
27:45
Nope. Not until not until Blizzard posted on the forums about it. Yeah. It's This is
27:50
a surprise. Yeah. It's kind of like the Oblivion remaster of Bank changes.
27:57
That's a reference. Yeah. Yeah. So, here's the here's the thing, too, which is uh that this just sort of like reminded me of, which is I
28:03
have I'm looking at it now. I have 97 bags slots um on my character, and 63 of
28:11
those slots are taken up by the three tiered crafting system they have going now.
28:18
So, I have to have three slots for every one crafting item because there's three different uh quality items, three
28:24
different levels of quality for it. And it has just absolutely wiped out like any space that I could possibly take up.
28:31
I'm I'm down to two bags on any character that has more than one crafting profession right now. Same. Yeah, crafting is really nonsense.
28:39
And that's with the re That's with the the reagent bag, too. Like that's with having a bag dedicated to it. There's
28:44
not enough space. No, the reagent bag like is a joke in terms of how much crafting items we now
28:50
have to take just to have one really. Like even if you have like one crafting profession, even if you're just doing
28:55
leather working, Yeah. it'll spill over into another bag and a half. Yeah. And I mean between I what what's
29:01
my my main is what? Mining and uh jewel crafting. And even then, I'm a gatherer
29:08
and a profession uh crafter and I still don't have bag space. Like a ton of like
29:13
raw materials are just there. And like I really enjoyed the reagent bank and now that's going away and it's like even
29:20
that was just chalk full. There's just you can't win. You can't win. The game has just been around forever and every
29:26
time they change something, there's just more stuff to throw in bags. Also, the number of stuff that should be currency
29:32
that isn't currency. We we we can talk about that, too.
29:37
forever that the uh the reagent bank functionality is now going to happen in every tab in your bank
29:44
which yeah if you if you at least you could be able to put more stuff in the bank than
29:50
you currently yeah you'll have six tabs 98 slots each none of them is like limited to reagents
29:58
you can put what anything in all of them see if my reagent pack was a direct access portal to this new banking system
30:04
where I could just go straight into it that Oh. Oh, yeah. But we'll see. Um, in terms of like I I I don't know how to talk about currency,
30:10
Joe. If you if you have something you want to say about it, go for it. Uh, I just kind of like my my eyes glaze over
30:16
and my heart begins to go nice low beat. It's if they ever want to fix the bag
30:22
situation is honestly they need to look at what they're doing for currency and every single tier and every single
30:28
content drop and actually make things that sit in your bag as currency currency. Instead of giving us a renown
30:35
track for player housing, how about you work on making things that are currency go into the currency tab? That would
30:40
make me happy. I would throw money at that. I would I would like throw out thousands of dollars at that if you
30:47
could just make that happen. Like it is that is one of my my pet peeves of this game is just how many things do we pick
30:54
up that just don't go into the currency tab that should and they take up so much bag space or bank space or whatever. And
31:00
then when you move between expansions because it's not actually a currency, it stays in your bag, but you can't get rid
31:05
of it. You might need it for something. Maybe there's going to be a transmog later. They've been rehashing old content, so you can't get rid of it.
31:10
Like it's it's it's you're you're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't is really what it boils down to. I don't
31:16
have anything else to say about that, but yeah. Okay. Well, at least you got to say it. I I felt bad last week. Um okay, let's
31:23
move on to talking about um Rashi Wraps. Is that is that how we're pronouncing
31:28
this? Rushy Wraps. Rashy Wraps. Wow. The more you say it, the more it feels wrong. Uh, legendary
31:35
cloak in patch 11.2. And it's it's basically required to get into the mana forge Omega raid. So,
31:41
it's not basically required. It is required. Like uh when we had the legendary cloak when we had the
31:47
legendary cloak in Battle for Azeroth, you needed it for the N'oth fight, but
31:52
before then, you could do without it. Yeah. No, you didn't need it to get into No, no. I was thinking of the other one.
31:58
Um, what do you call it? Ordos and the fl the flamy cape. Uh oh, yeah. No. Yeah, you're you're
32:04
right. That didn't work that way. So, yeah, in this case, you need it. And it takes apparently
32:10
two or three hours. Yeah, a couple hours. I mean, I'm sure I'm sure the
32:15
speedrunners can do it faster than that. And I'm sure the people who read all of the quest text and hang out for all
32:20
these stay a while and listen moments will be slower than that. But apparently you need to book a couple of hours to
32:27
work on this quest if you have like a read immediately after launch. Yeah, that doesn't bother me as much
32:35
cuz it's a one and done. I mean, I'm not I I'm not bothered by it. It's just it's something you got to
32:41
plan for and be ready for and not wait until an hour before raid night to do. Be aware be aware that this is coming
32:48
and you should probably know to get it. Um, it kind of reminds me a little bit
32:54
uh not not in terms of needing it to do the raid, but um back in Oh, I want to say Battle for Azeroth um the the deal
33:01
where you basically had to open Ashar's Eternal Palace by doing a bunch of quests uh in Nazar.
33:08
Yeah, that was the it's similar in that you have to do these quests and you'll get the cape at the end and you'll then
33:16
be able to go to the raid. It's similar to that. Although in this case, the the the cloak is what's the the the
33:22
gatekeeper, not the you must do these quests. You just you will have to do the quests to get the cape.
33:28
It's a mcguffin. You need the mcguffin to go into the dungeon. I I am very fine to do it. I actually
33:33
want to. I love this type of story stuff where it just involves you into it and lets you sort of earn the cape and everything else.
33:39
But I am going to be upset by the third time I have to do it on another character. Well, they didn't say if
33:45
you're going to be able to skip it on on alts, right? Like No, they have not. Which they've they did that for goblins,
33:52
right? When we went to goblin town, your alts didn't have to do everything. So, that was that was a change though. That
34:00
was not immediate. But I'm I'm hoping that maybe they've learned from that, right? Like maybe they've learned from
34:06
that and look at this and say, "Okay, cool. You've done this on a character." And then you go in on the next character
34:12
and it says, "Hey, here's this quest text option. I've already done this. Uh, click the little red thing that says,
34:17
"Are you sure you really did this already?" And you just get the thing and off to the races. Like, that'll be fine
34:23
if they do that. But I agree with you, S. Yeah, but they have they have such a way of just Yeah, they have such a way of
34:28
halfassing it though these days. uh like Cers Cersei Circle it which is like every character had to spend like five
34:35
hours over at that island just to get not not even to get the gems because they would let you have the gems on the
34:40
character that did it but just to get the thing up to level and now they're doing the same thing too with the I embraced my mediocrity and and sheer
34:47
defiance of that on my alts. None of my alts had it. I didn't care. I was like, you know what, we're good. I did this
34:54
once. I got my stuff up and I don't even think I maxleveled the stupid ring on my
34:59
main cuz I just couldn't be ared to do it. Like I was just like, you know what? I don't care. I'm good. I'm healing. I'm
35:06
putting up better numbers than I than I, you know, a lot of other people at my same eye level. Whatever. I'm good. This
35:11
is good enough. No. And you were at peace with it, but I am not.
35:17
Yes. Then we right here we're seeing two of the uh on the briefly in the pre-show
35:22
six mentioned that you know you can tell a lot about how a DM is new personality test by seeing how they are about
35:29
certain adventures and for World of Warcraft watching how people relate to
35:35
this new thing that you everyone should get to get to ek out the absolute minimal last bit of performance. Is it
35:43
are they I'll do it. Are they I have to do it. I have to do it on all my characters or are they I did it once.
35:50
I'm done now. We We have a saying in our guild. Spiders a dough is an outlier. Um
35:56
there's a reason for that. Spider's aorg. Yeah. Uh my wife always reminds me about that.
36:02
Yeah. But it's it's Yeah, you're right. Like it is there there are two very polar extremes of that. And then there are
36:07
people that like fall in the middle and just don't care. We'll trundle along and just kind of do it. Um, but yeah, it's
36:13
I actually remember not not this not for the Cersei's ring, but there was I accidentally got Shadow Morn in that I I
36:22
had the quest just like everybody else did. So, I was picking up the pieces, but uh they they they were like getting
36:29
awarded to people specifically in the raids. You know, we should actually talk about the raps though, I think, since you
36:35
know, we've mentioned it. Really go into it. I want to mention this cuz I forgot about this. One of the things that these
36:41
raps do in addition to all the stuff of like getting into the raid is they allowed you to do the phase diving, you
36:46
know, activity, which is basically a new thing you can do to get gear and have
36:51
more, you know, more play style stuff. So, yeah. Go ahead, Joe. Do you want to talk more about that?
36:57
Well, I was just going to say like it it does enable more content than just the raid. You are absolutely correct. Lets
37:03
you do the phase diving and um it does let you customize it. like you get a choice of a fiber that lets you it's
37:10
essentially a socket for the cloak off the bat that lets you essentially choose your secondary stat for it. Um so it's
37:19
it's useful. It's not just a onetrick pony. Uh so it's I think it's going to
37:25
be fine, but it does let you do basically all of the content. Um, and yes, with the two-hour investment up
37:31
front, it's about the same as you spent doing the uh goblin campaign stuff if anything else. Uh, so it's not too bad,
37:41
I think. And I'll let Six give his thoughts or or Liz give Liz, did you want to go or should I just
37:46
start rambling? I'll start rambling. Yeah, sorry. I mean, you're right on all fronts, but except for saying like you can use it to
37:52
do the content. No, you have to have it to do the content. So, like, you have to have it if you want to go rating. and
37:58
there's several things that you have to do to do it. Um, and the thing too is the the War Within, I've loved it. It's
38:05
it's been a fantastic expansion in my books. Uh, there there's there's so many things I could talk about it, but it
38:10
does have a little bit of infamy running with it, too, which is um especially after 11.1.5,
38:16
which is they've just have this organizational issue where they just create all these false points of just
38:22
like withholding you back, making you go through these different hoops. um just
38:27
renown within renowns and stuff like that. Uh and it's it's not even the fact that it's confusing as much as it's just
38:34
like becomes a benile system, something you don't want to do. I mean to a point like with the bags and everything else,
38:41
this is supposed to be an adventure game. There's supposed to be levels of hardship to it. You have to earn things like your professions and everything
38:47
else. Um so there should be some like some situational points where like it is
38:53
difficult to accomplish something. But then again, there should also be points where like when you have done it, especially because this is a video game,
38:59
there are sort of philosophical standards to an MMO that they sort of let you skip that and then just go right
39:05
to what you need to do on other characters after you've already sort of participated at least with one within the story itself or an option for it.
39:12
Yeah, but I think that's what they're going for, right? Like just to kind of throw it out there because like when you start when the new content drops, when
39:19
11.2 to Ghost of Caresh when it arrives August 5th by the way. um you are you
39:26
get the the initial thing the shadowy invitation that sets you on that quest
39:31
and it's literally your introduction to everything that's going on and in the course of doing that introduction which
39:37
is this quest line you get the raps and like I think for a first shot I think
39:44
they've been pretty good about that and I will give them credit like I'm critical of them a lot of times I can agree with you there yeah
39:50
but I will say that what they did this expansion in particular with, hey, here's the new content with the
39:56
exception of the Siren Isles cuz I that uh but everything else it was here's the
40:02
quest line, here's your campaign. Your campaign takes you through all of the new stuff we've just added and
40:07
introduces it to you. And when you're at the end of it, you have everything you need to do to engage in the world. And
40:13
I'm okay with that when it's presented like that. Now, if it was something like they used to do back in the day, like
40:20
we're talking about the legendary cloak, uh, in order to go, you know, face our good buddy N'oth, our technical buddy,
40:27
uh, you didn't have, you didn't, you were not forced to engage with that quest line should you choose not to. You
40:33
just were locked out of that content. And nothing was integrated to make you do that content aside from here's a
40:40
quest thing, go do it. Here, it's part of the introduction. And so I think it makes it a little more palatable. It
40:48
like because you're just it it again it shows you Tazesh. It shows you how the
40:54
new stuff is going to work there. Introduces you to the etherealss and the story that's going on there which I
40:59
think is also really important at least for me. Uh it introduces you to why the raid matters and why you're doing this.
41:05
And along the lines you get your three ethereal uh strands because you have to
41:10
go and get those from the the special individuals. I'm not going to go into details cuz I don't want to spoiler it for people too bad. But you interact
41:17
with the people that give you the stuff that you need to and they're the people you're going to continue to interact with throughout this entire content
41:23
tier. So it makes sense that it's all kind of tied together. But going back to
41:29
your original point, the defining factor is going to be whether or not you are forced to do this every single time with
41:35
every single character. That I think is when it could get tedious. But as long
41:40
as it's tied up like this, I think I think it's okay because at least they're trying to do more than just here's a thing, go get the McGuffin.
41:46
Oh, and I'm with you that I fully expect to enjoy the first time I do this. So,
41:52
and they have done a they have done a good job of it being conducive more so than being like say extracurricular
41:57
versus say BFA and all that other stuff. Um, yeah, it's just the doing it again and again. Like, like the Cersei was a
42:04
slog on other characters. The belt is a slog on other characters, and there's very little reason for that. They even
42:10
give you like ways to level path for like your sorry, uh, for your crest. Like, they give you advantages on other
42:16
characters to not have to work with it to trade over the uh, the valor stones, etc., etc., but they don't for this
42:22
stuff. And this stuff isn't necessarily like the the cirlet and the belt, they're not requirements. They really
42:28
are for like maybe not the 1% but for the people trying to be the 10%. Um but
42:34
again just having to go through it with your alts as somebody who plays a series
42:39
of alts and likes to play them in a competitive sense. Yeah. It it just feels Yeah. But you you are a mad man.
42:48
How how many this expansion? Uh too many. Um I have five vaults that
42:55
are now competing for uh the 11.2 two slot who I'm going to be raiding with at the moment and I'll probably already
43:00
like have a different main before we're even done raiding. Varieties the spice of life.
43:06
Yeah. This point I'm going to move us on though because we do have other stuff to talk about. One of them is that Maandaria classic is launching on July
43:13
21st which I believe is next week. Um it is next week. Yes. Very soon as you are listening to this. So, if you're
43:20
trying to get the Xiao Sage Serpent mount in in modern retail WoW, you've
43:25
got like like six days to do that content, the uh the init the WoW classic
43:33
Mr. part, the opening on the island. Yeah, you have to level a Pandar
43:39
character through the starting experience and then you will collect this amount in your Modern WoW account.
43:45
So, it's easy. It doesn't take a ton of time, but you do now have a limited
43:50
amount of time to do it, which is I mean, part of the reason this is here is a reminder to myself because I was
43:57
really gung-ho about doing it initially and I started and I haven't gotten back to it and finished the quest. So, on the
44:04
to-do list. So, yeah, if you if you want to get that, you should get on that. Um,
44:11
that's basically it for that. So, but there are other things cosmetic wise that involve WoW and WoW Classic to a
44:18
degree. One of them is there's two six-month sub bonuses. Uh, one is for
44:24
retail WoW and the other is for WoW classic. Uh, and they are a crocalisk
44:30
mount, a flying crocalisk mount and a flying crocalisk mount pet. It's the pet of the mount that you can
44:37
get in retail. I I do have a point of order because these are called
44:44
crocalisks, but they only have four legs. Doesn't a crocalisk have six legs?
44:51
Six. Six limbs. However, are you counting the wings, Liz? Wings are whims.
44:56
Oh. Oh, that is a good point. They have wings. Okay. Okay. I'm with you now. You're saying that two of their legs
45:02
have migrated up to their backs and become wings? Yeah. Okay. I'm just making sure that's what
45:07
you're saying. Why not? It works for bats. I will also point out that these guys I neither of them is even close to using
45:13
the crocalisk model. Although the baby one is closer than the mount. The mount is straight up like
45:20
a demon from from like a couple of expansions. I like him. I'm going to name him.
45:26
He's a cool looking mount. I'm not saying it's not cool looking mount. I'm just saying it's not it is not in any way, shape, or form the typical
45:32
crocalisk mount. Well, here's the thing. Here's the thing about that mount, though, which is I actually the mount looks good to me, but
45:38
I am so much more interested in the name. It's calling itself the Herald of Sabach, and I don't know if there's a Sabach in the game, let alone a Herald
45:45
for it. Now, uh, this is the first time I've heard it, but that doesn't mean that it hasn't
45:50
been around before. Yeah. No, there's S Apostrophe B A K.
45:56
I did a brief internet search. Nothing was popping for WoW and Sabach. There were some other characters spelled differently that looked like they had no
46:02
relation to Acroisk. I think it's basically a reference to Sobeek, the uh the Egyptian god of crocodiles. Um, so
46:10
that is close, but but when they're doing that type of stuff, there's usually something else that they've morphed into the game representing that.
46:16
I mean, it's they they've included their own lore with it, right? Like it's literally, if you go and look at the
46:21
item description, it's the Tovier tell of the legendary Sabach, a great crocalisk believed to have emerged from
46:27
the sacred valley of Angoro Crater. Although few have ever seen Sabach in the flesh, many believe he was blessed
46:33
by the Titan keepers to safeguard the vast waterways of Aldom. Oh, so
46:38
the Hearthstone thing I it might be a reference to that, but it's again I just said the Enoro Cape Crater uh
46:45
expansion in Hearthstone. So I will also say though, go Oh, go ahead, Joe. I was gonna say I think it's also a
46:51
reference to a lot of the stuff we saw in the tool city that seemed to reference gods or uh more likely titan
46:59
keepers that we just never got to see. So see now I just want to meet this new big beautiful god and kill it.
47:05
Yeah that's right. But what I really like though I don't know Liz you may disagree with me on this but honestly
47:11
I'm a little sad that you can't get the subox favored uh the the the baby. You can't get that in retail. I am exactly
47:18
very sad about that because this is the most adorable baby crocalisk I have ever seen. I don't know if I've ever seen any
47:25
other baby crocalisks, but he is adorable. He has tiny pudgy wings and
47:30
giant round eyes. And I I just want to hug him. Yeah, that might be a bad idea because he also
47:37
has huge jaws and fangs. Yeah, the teeth aren't aren't going to feel great. No.
47:43
Yeah, a little nibble when loving on a pet. It's fine. What you ask? You have to like be
47:49
trimming this thing's nails and suddenly just go clump down on your arm and you're like, "Okay, baby. Listen, that's
47:55
that's good." If you own a cat, you already own a crocalisk. Like this is this is this is
48:00
how this works. Oh, cute. No, no. Cats are essentially ultralisk. Wait, like from Starcraft?
48:06
Yeah, there's a whole website about people person who just drew various uh cat poses for ultralisks. It is really
48:13
great. Um, yeah, this is this is a really cool mount. Uh, and it's a really cool pet, and I am sad
48:19
that you can't have them both in the same game. Um, but I just want to say for the record, the
48:25
mount is only available in Modern WoW. The pet is only available in Classic WoW. So, I hope you don't play Modern
48:31
Wow and want the pet or play classic WoW and want the mount because you ain't getting it.
48:37
This is why I have a 3D printer. I will print my own pet and will live on my desk. It's fine.
48:42
Oo, I'd love to see class though. I would love to see a 3D printing of
48:47
this mount to use as a boss in like my D and D games. I mean,
48:52
we we can talk about it on the post show, but I have experience in doing exactly this thing. Yeah, but we should also mention there's
48:59
also the uh Twitch drops. Um there's the adorned half shell from World of Warcraft. You have to watch four hours
49:05
up till August 11th. Um, in World of Warcraft, there's the Is that Glen Soul?
49:11
It looks like Glen Soul. Yeah, the Glen Soul Artist. I frankly have no idea what an arbolist
49:19
is, but it's but it's in this case. Yeah, in this case it's a crossbow. Arbolist is a big crossbow and
49:25
and basically like not as big as a ballista, but bigger than a regular crossbow. It usually usually in between
49:32
an in between. It usually it had a crank usually. Yeah. H. So, it was basically used as a as a
49:38
minor siege weapon or a kill as many infantry as you can weapon. Like you'd fire this thing be like firing a cannon
49:45
into a crowd. Oh, look. That's plate mail funk. Yeah, that kind of thing. Um or or the another use for it was they
49:52
would actually have two bolts and they would link it with chain and then as they flew into the crowd, the chain
49:58
would spread out and it would just mow down people which eventually was replaced by cannons. But that's a topic for another story.
50:05
Yeah. three hours up until July 19th to get that that Arbolast in in Diablo. Uh
50:10
you have to watch uh three hours of Diablo 4. So those are the two Twitch drops.
50:16
Uh and if you buy $15 worth of summer transmog, go ahead, Liz.
50:21
I I do want to throw this one at Joe about the adorned uh half shell back
50:28
transmog. Have you Are you This is basically a turtle shell to wear around. Have you gotten this one yet, Joe? It
50:34
will be mine. That's kind of what I thought. Kind of what I thought. Did they make a ninja style costume
50:39
that's all green? I No, I already have like all my all my guys were transmoged into uh Ninja
50:45
Turtles. My four main I posted a picture of it on on Blue Sky. Uh I literally my war bound my war band like video like
50:53
wrestling image whatever words are hard. I have not had enough caffeine today. um is literally all four of the Ninja
51:00
Turtles uh because I could and it was absolutely hilarious. Like my warrior having cuz I do single-minded fury
51:07
converting the swords into the size made me very very happy. Do do we actually like you can't play as
51:13
the turtle people, right? No, you cannot you cannot play as the Tortolins honestly in in
51:19
Oh, those turtle people if we want at some point and this is again another another topic for maybe
51:25
another day. If we get Tortolan before we get Tuscar, I quit. Like, I'm out.
51:34
Peace. Uh, but yeah, we're going to talk about We'll see what happens August 19th.
51:40
You know, $15 worth of summer transmog. You know, you buy them on the store. I guess they're recolors of the trading
51:46
post according to Liz. Um, and yeah, there's it's it's just a new store
51:51
bundle with uh recolors of like the trading post swimsuits and things like that, which we saw a little while ago.
51:59
One thing is it also has one of those kind of surfboardy mounts, and this is this is a really low price for a mount.
52:06
Yeah. For for four trans well, essentially four transmogs uh and a mount.
52:12
Yeah. and uh two of the transmogs being very uh goth swimwear adjacent. I can
52:18
already I can already hear Molly screaming for this. It is a black bikini. But I mean I have
52:24
to say the thing that I would be looking forward to in this set is the purple murloc floaty because you know safety
52:32
first if you're going to go in the water. Safety first but style second.
52:37
Yeah it it it is a purple murloc floaty. I'm not as disturbed as I was by the
52:42
nose from Diablo 4, but but I'll be upfront. I'm not loving the per the murloc floaty. I'm not putting a murloc
52:48
head that close to my girl. Uh to quote Veric, so you shoved the maker's wife's head between your legs every night.
52:55
Um but yeah, so that's that's floaty. Matt, it's a floaty. It's not an
53:02
actual Merlo. A big snarling head right there. I don't I don't like big belt buckles either, if that helps.
53:08
Look, you're into what you're into. But we should really fast because we talked about housing a little while ago. We
53:14
should talk about the Guild Wars I expansion uh Visions of Eternity. This is our other games news for the for the
53:20
week. Um there's coming out in October and they're going to have new beachfront homestead locations cuz they've had
53:26
housing for a while. Uh they've had housing for one expansion. I believe they introduced it in Janther Wilds last year. Uh so there
53:34
are a lot of things in this expansion. You're going to go to Castor and explore
53:40
new realms. But, you know, I I read through all of this, you know, reading, reading, reading, and then I got to new
53:47
housing locations, pristine beachfront property. That's that's not how they described it. That's how I'm describing
53:53
it. I mean, it's an island where you can have a player house and it is absolutely gorgeous. I love Guild Wars 2. Like, it
54:00
is when I'm not playing WoW and I need an MMO fix. And don't get me wrong, I love Final Fantasy 14, uh, but I'm kind
54:07
of like done with 14 for now. This is where I go back to. Like, I'm currently playing through the previous expansion.
54:14
This news made me very, very happy. But not only are we getting beachfront property, we're getting a b nine new
54:23
elite specializations for players, and I am so here for it. Uh, like I'm not
54:31
going to go into too much detail because we don't have a whole lot of time and maybe we can talk more about it in depth next uh podcast, but this is a really
54:39
cool content update. Like I it's absolutely gorgeous. Like I mean
54:44
honestly I I love Guild Wars. Like it's just they do it's just enough different
54:50
from WoW to entice me and pull me in. Wasn't it done by a WoW developer? Arenaet. Oh, well, Arenaet I think was
54:57
like Arenaet founders were I don't know if they were former WoW devs. I don't know the whole story.
55:02
But whilst, you know, watching Joe turn into Jeff the Land Shark for Guild Wars
55:08
is really cute. Um, I love Jeff the Land Shark. Don't don't get me wrong. Uh, if if I could have my own land shark in
55:13
real life, I I would not do that because it would hurt. But I love the the land shark. I'm currently right around that battle
55:19
cap. This game is awesome. But uh, we have sight news we need to get. And that means we turn to Liz and
55:25
say, "Liz, would you please do the site news?" And if you want, you can throw in a gladrial bit at the end about becoming a queen.
55:32

56:38
say our support is a little bit low right now at uh about $3,500 a month. We
56:44
try to keep around $4,000 a month to just kind of keep the site on an even keel. We're doing okay. We're not
56:52

58:30
in whatever form it takes. We are writers so moral moral support really
58:36
really matters. We appreciate you. It is absolutely true. Uh, thank you, Liz. Uh,
58:42
also since you guys mentioned the uh the Rebel Scum game, straight up listen to it for Joe, just for Joe's character.
58:49
Mitch's character, too. Mitch is also there. And they're both playing Freud's. And they're both amazing and completely
58:56
different. I I I literally just Yeah. No, I was so mad Mitch stole the
59:01
accent that I was going to do and got to speak before I did, so I had to like completely redo
59:06
everything on the back like on the at the back end. It worked. Dude, your character came off
59:12
very like honestly he felt like what you'd expect the the dwarven foreman of,
59:18
you know, if he was a droid. Like it was just Yeah. I I was really I was really
59:24
digging everybody's characters, but but that one was we did and and Liz Spy was also
59:30
This is the first time in quite a while that we've had Mitch on a podcast. We're going to need to drag you back on one of
59:36
our uh tabletop games at some point. 6. Because you you're the guy that created that.
59:41
Yeah, that that guy frog with a mustache guy. Yeah, it's uh you are just delightfully weird.
59:48
Um and we played that pigeon, but yeah. Yeah, we did. So, here's
59:53
here's a little behind the scenes. I ran Pigeons 11 for the guild and uh 6K set
59:59
the Anaheim Convention Center on fire. Not that it's a fictionalized version of the Anaheim Convention Center.
1:00:05
Definitely not the real Anaheim Convention Center. I have no plans for that. Uh and you know, it had it it all worked
1:00:12
out in the end, but uh also possibly the convention center burned down. If you've listened to our game, a Blizzard watch
1:00:18
game of Pigeons 11, that is not what happened. But that's apparently a way it could have gone down if you are chaotic
1:00:25
enough. Uh, but yeah, I I just I'm kind of still excited about I'm still excited about
1:00:30
Rebel Scum. I just read up if if people listening to us are as excited about tabletop games as we are
1:00:38
right now. Our our uh series of Daggerheart is coming to a close. There's just one more episode of that
1:00:45
and then we will be rolling out Rebel Scum. Uh probably in about three weeks,
1:00:50
two or three weeks, we'll be putting out the first episodes of Rebel Scum. So, and if you if you're intrigued by the
1:00:56
name Pigeons 11 or anything we have said about it, you all of those episodes are available now. It's three episodes, so
1:01:02
it's not too hard to listen to. And u yeah, I we really enjoy making them. I
1:01:08
hope you all enjoy listening to them. But thank you to everybody for listening to us do the things we do because
1:01:15
without you doing that we have no either and then we would all be sad. We would be talking to ourselves which
1:01:22
fine. I mean I I like talking to all of you people but you know yeah we actually still kind of need a
1:01:28
justification and you guys provide it. So thank you. U this has been the Blizzard Watch podcast. Thank you to Six
1:01:34
for showing up uh here with us. I'll just add that if you listen long enough, eventually get on the show.
1:01:43
That may not be the the selling point you think it is for some people. Oh, this is the best time of my life.
1:01:49
Um, living the dream. Thank you to Six for that. Um, thank you to Joe and Liz for making everything
1:01:56
happen and all the behind the scenes stuff they do. We appreciate you guys. And yeah, this is the Blizzard Watch
1:02:02
Podcast. We'll be back next week.
