We're speculating on WoW patch 12.0.7 and beyond, now that the preview for said patch has been released. That leads us to a certain ominous island off the coast of Zul'Aman that we're not allowed to touch yet, plus all the other little details that lead us to guest host Phil Ulrich's favorite thing ever: Troll Raid.
But other than that, it's all cosmetics and microtransactions. There are gorgeous new, dyeable WoW crossover appearances in Diablo 4, treehouses for WoW Player Housing, and another of those gatchas we hate in Hearthstone, all for actual cash folding money. But at least we have the glorious Trading Post and all its free hats and mounts to keep us just the tiniest bit happy in this capitalist hellscape.
Speaking of hellscapes, The Cow Level is real and it is just as awful to find in Diablo 4 as you probably expect.

Hi everybody. Welcome to the Blizzard
0:11
Watch podcast where we talk about
0:13
Blizzard Entertainment and its many
0:14
games and other things sometimes.
0:17
Uh with me, Matt Rossi, I'm hosting. I
0:19
actually stopped playing a certain game
0:23
>> Oh.
0:23
>> just to be here.
0:24
Which which was very hard. Uh and it's
0:27
not the one you might think cuz we'll
0:28
talk about that later.
0:29
Um
0:30
with me, of course, are my two fantastic
0:32
normal co-hosts, uh editor-in-chief Liz
0:35
Harper and technical ombudsman Joe
0:38
Perez. We need to get you a title like
0:40
that, you know, something something cool
0:41
like grand grand technician or
0:44
something something with a poobah.
0:46
>> What do you want your title to be? I
0:47
mean, that's the real question.
0:48
>> Go. Um what do you want your title to
0:49
be?
0:50
>> You got to put me on the spot like that.
0:51
I don't know. I'm going to have to think
0:52
about it.
0:52
>> have to know now. Think about it.
0:54
>> Yeah.
0:55
>> There's There's future shows. Also with
0:57
us, and he should get introduced because
0:59
we're rambling,
1:00
Phil. Say hi, Phil.
1:01
>> Hi, Phil.
1:03
>> Thank you.
1:03
>> Hi.
1:04
>> Someone did it. You walked into that You
1:05
walked into that one.
1:06
>> No, I I I embraced it. I wanted it. All
1:09
right. Let's talk about World of
1:12
Warcraft patch 12.0.7
1:14
because turns out we now know there's
1:17
going to be a patch 12.0.7 although we
1:19
were pretty sure.
1:20
>> You could make a good guess.
1:22
>> We had an idea.
1:24
>> But what's in this patch this patch? I
1:27
don't I don't think I want to just sit
1:28
here and read all of it. So, I'm going
1:29
to go rotate around. Uh Liz, talk about
1:32
like something that's coming in the
1:33
patch that you think is cool.
1:34
>> Uh
1:35
now you've got to put me on the spot. Oh
1:37
my gosh, I've got to talk about patch
1:39
1202 1207.
1:42
Um this is another patch. I mean, these
1:44
are in-between patches. We just had 1205
1:47
and now we're going into 12 1207
1:50
probably in a couple months, probably in
1:52
June will be in maybe. Um and even
1:56
though this is a {quote} minor patch,
1:59
there's quite a lot in it.
2:02
Um, like surprisingly, I was pretty
2:05
surprised at how big 12.0.5 was. And I
2:09
am
2:10
I'm equally
2:12
Yeah, so much. There's so much in here.
2:15
I think one of the interesting feature
2:17
in this one is called the Aman'Thul
2:19
folio.
2:20
I don't know if I'm saying that right.
2:22
Maybe. No one's told me how to say it,
2:24
so that's how I'm saying it. Which is
2:27
like a relic that you power up in some
2:32
way to give yourself a
2:35
it that gives you power. It sounds like
2:37
another It sounds like some sort of
2:39
stupid borrowed power system. But it's
2:41
like a book that you inscribe runes in
2:43
and the runes hour you up. And we know
2:47
very little about it, but it's like,
2:49
okay. Okay, we've got an interesting new
2:52
new power up system. But also, this is
2:55
this is apparently created by Rommath
2:57
and Umbreck, everyone's two favorite
3:00
feuding elves. And that's that's all I
3:03
have to say about them.
3:04
>> Well, I have more, but I'm not going to
3:05
say it because, you know, this is a
3:08
>> This is a family-friendly podcast.
3:10
>> Exactly.
3:11
This is This is This is up there with
3:13
Xal'atath's feet in terms of things I
3:15
don't want to talk about.
3:16
>> I I was about to say something and I I
3:18
stopped myself. I stopped myself, guys.
3:20
Just just for the I did sake of
3:22
everybody.
3:23
>> All right. Um Joe or Phil, do either of
3:26
you have one you want to talk about?
3:27
>> Yep, I want to steal I'm going to jump
3:29
in line. I'm going to talk about two of
3:30
them together. Haha.
3:31
>> Go for it.
3:32
>> That's my That's my prerogative.
3:34
Uh which is, you know, with 12.0.7 on
3:36
the horizon, obviously the next thing
3:38
people want to know is, "Hey, what are
3:39
we doing in 12.1?" Because that's
3:41
traditionally when we get news. So, new
3:42
entire new zones. And there's one big
3:46
smoking, fog-covered,
3:48
lore-related gun off the coast of
3:51
Zuldazar.
3:52
Um and
3:52
>> This is why Phil stole it. Okay, you
3:56
>> Yep. Gotcha. Which I had previously
3:58
thought maybe would be like a like a
4:01
like a 12.07 like a you know a Storm
4:04
Isle or
4:05
Siren Isle like mid patch you know
4:08
island you can romp around to you know
4:10
get some power for a patch. Nope. Uh
4:13
it's not coming to 12.07 and uh
4:17
suspiciously for no reason uh assistant
4:20
Lorewalker Li Li Stormstout is picking
4:22
up Lorewalking Loas. All about all the
4:26
troll Loas. Uh interesting one on this
4:28
one for people who normally skip these
4:29
but if you don't play a troll it looks
4:31
like you may finally get to see the Dark
4:34
Spear
4:35
um
4:36
heritage armor quest cuz they did this
4:38
with the blood elf one for for the
4:39
Lorewalking elves.
4:41
Uh very cool one especially if you were
4:43
a fan of Bwonsamdi back in BfA. Uh but
4:45
yeah the just can for no reason a
4:48
Lorewalking story appeared about all the
4:50
troll Loas. And then also for no reason
4:53
the only story related questline that
4:55
got called out is one about Zul'jin and
4:58
his uncle. Uh
4:59
oh wait there was another one I forgot
5:01
about that with Jan'alai. Uh
5:03
two loa related storylines where Zul'jin
5:05
and Kimbul go to a meeting called by the
5:07
Hear- Hearanir and get pulled into some
5:09
mystery around the Amani's past. And
5:12
also Jan'alai loa fire needs your help
5:15
to hatch a new clutch of eggs. So I
5:17
wonder why they would want to spending a
5:18
lot of time in Zul'Aman.
5:20
>> And and hatching eggs.
5:22
>> and hatching eggs. Hmm. Can't imagine.
5:26
Uh so as a known troll enjoyer the fact
5:30
that this all appears to be pointing
5:32
very strongly at my two favorite words
5:34
troll raid is obviously a very fun part
5:37
of 12.07 for me.
5:38
>> Well also it's I mean I was going to
5:41
was literally going to bring this up so
5:42
I I'm I'm fighting you in real life now.
5:46
Um
5:48
But yeah it also makes me think that we
5:50
are finally going to get something that
5:51
Matt and I have been talking about for
5:53
years now at this point. Time is weird.
5:57
Um we might finally be getting a return
5:59
of Vol'jin. So
6:01
>> Mhm.
6:02
>> because a lot of this all seems to be
6:04
leading in that direction with the cycle
6:06
of rebirth. Um I called this out when we
6:08
talked about the Zul'aman quest theme to
6:11
begin with where a lot of it is Loa was
6:14
returning or Loa was being reborn.
6:18
Uh and there was a lot of stuff like
6:19
dealing with Loas that were specifically
6:21
around when all this stuff of Vol'jin
6:22
went down in Battle for Azeroth. So
6:25
Yeah, it yeah. Mhm. Looking forward to
6:27
that. I'm looking
6:28
>> you mean like Rezan who is very famously
6:30
pictured on the Loa walking Loas
6:31
announcement on the Blizzard website?
6:33
>> Or or or the fact that we have an entire
6:35
quest around the spider Loa and her
6:37
actual like what's happening with her
6:39
and the fact that we killed her. We
6:41
killed her and she's back. Um
6:44
>> brought her back.
6:45
>> And we brought her back. Yeah, it's
6:47
yeah. Mhm. I I'm Okay, you can continue
6:49
with your other one because I'm going to
6:50
I I'm Mhm.
6:51
>> No, that was it. I was I was stealing
6:53
the two the two troll-related ones, Loa
6:54
walking Loas and then the troll story
6:56
quests. You can You can grab something
6:57
else.
6:58
>> I can't. You stole it. It literally was
7:00
the thing I was looking forward to most.
7:01
I mean, I I can talk about I can talk
7:03
about that I'm looking forward to
7:04
exterior lighting on my house, but it's
7:05
not nearly as cool.
7:07
>> Yeah.
7:07
>> Exterior lighting is it is kind of cool.
7:10
We've been missing exterior lighting on
7:11
our homes
7:13
since a certain someone built a fire
7:16
garden and ruined it for everyone.
7:19
>> Yeah, well.
7:20
>> Yeah. Um I'm going to say right now I'm
7:23
having massive
7:25
uh Godzilla 2014 flashlight. Like I just
7:27
heard in my head, let them fight.
7:30
Once that all happened and I'm like I I
7:33
I I almost thought do I want to
7:35
encourage this? Yes. Yes, I do. Uh so
7:38
I'm also going to say before we go move
7:41
on to talk about lighting the house, cuz
7:42
that's that is actually pretty cool. Um
7:45
the other thing about all this the troll
7:48
and lowest stuff is
7:50
the Pandaren ice they strike me as the
7:52
kind of guys who'd be open to talking to
7:55
stories.
7:56
Yeah. So, I think there's there's
7:58
possibility for future stuff there. Uh
8:00
but
8:01
go ahead, Joe. Talk about the lighting
8:02
if you want to. If you don't want to,
8:04
you don't have to, but I I don't know.
8:05
>> I mean, I get to put lighting outside my
8:06
house finally, which I've been waiting
8:07
for since housing happened. Uh which is
8:10
>> Yeah. Just in time for Tech that I
8:12
Go ahead.
8:12
>> Yeah, some of these things made no sense
8:14
to be inside. All these lamp posts,
8:16
yeah, we've been waiting.
8:17
>> Uh but not only that
8:19
>> Go ahead, Liz.
8:20
>> I I think Blizzard always intended have
8:22
out outdoor lighting except they ran
8:24
into a bug during the beta period and
8:27
they had to shut it down because
8:29
otherwise, you know,
8:31
I I believe it was like loading issues
8:33
and view distances were really creating
8:36
a problem when you had lots and lots of
8:38
lighting effects. So, it's like it's
8:41
better to not have the lighting and
8:43
actually have neighborhoods, but also
8:46
the lighting lighting effects.
8:48
>> a lot of them have particle or have
8:49
particle emitters, which famously can be
8:51
rough on yeah, GPUs if you get a lot of
8:55
them in one spot.
8:57
Uh so, there's there's limitations still
8:59
to the lighting, but I think I think
9:00
they're pretty reasonable.
9:01
>> Yeah, and I mean, I'm just looking
9:03
forward to putting up I I have a I
9:05
bought a whole bunch of the goblin
9:06
lights because I really like them.
9:08
Like the hanging the hanging goblin
9:09
lights. Um and I got a bunch of the lamp
9:11
posts and I want to redo the
9:14
I just redid the interior of my house or
9:16
in the process of doing so. Um which I
9:20
need to buy more walls and a whole bunch
9:22
of other stuff. Um but with that being
9:26
on the docket for me finishing that up
9:29
whenever I find time and tear myself
9:30
away from Diablo 4,
9:32
uh then I will I got to work on the
9:34
outside again. I want to redo the whole
9:35
outside. Um
9:37
and I want to make it look, you know,
9:39
the way that I have envisioned in my
9:40
head. I have kind of like place holdery
9:42
stuff right now.
9:43
Um I even changed my plot to something
9:45
that will better match my uh what I have
9:48
like sketched out in my brain.
9:50
So, but yeah, it's I don't know what
9:52
else to say uh because they already gave
9:54
me the one thing that I wanted before
9:56
12.0.7,
9:57
uh which is they fixed my floors in the
9:59
house,
10:00
finally.
10:01
Uh so, I'm just excited. I'm good.
10:05
>> All right. Well, there's two things I
10:06
want to mention and they need to get
10:08
mentioned.
10:09
Uh first up is the new raid, um
10:12
Sporfall, which is in Harrendar. You're
10:14
going to have to go fight a single boss
10:16
raid, but it's an indoor one. It's not a
10:19
world boss. Uh it's a big fungal giant
10:21
uh named Rotmire. But the interesting
10:23
thing here is that it's going to have
10:25
the normal varieties of rating, you
10:27
know, raid finder, normal, heroic,
10:29
mythic, and they're testing something
10:31
called flex mythic where you can
10:33
basically bring
10:35
>> Yeah.
10:35
>> uh between 15 and 25 raiders into your
10:38
mythic raid.
10:39
>> Huge. Huge.
10:41
>> I I feel like that would be better
10:43
served on normal heroic.
10:45
>> No.
10:46
>> No, not because they shouldn't have it,
10:48
but they should have it for more people.
10:50
>> But normal heroic
10:51
Oh, I I understand, but normal heroic is
10:53
already flex.
10:54
>> Yeah. Yeah, they already go up to 30
10:55
people. It's only interesting on mythic
10:57
because of how it's hard locked to 20
10:59
allegedly for balancing purposes.
11:01
>> Yeah, and I
11:03
>> This feels like a test to me. This feels
11:04
like the way
11:05
>> Yeah.
11:05
>> Oh, it does.
11:06
>> I as as somebody who does mythic rating
11:09
on weekends with another guild, I will I
11:11
will say that this is huge because one
11:14
of the biggest reasons, and Blizzard
11:16
knows this, and this is something people
11:17
have been complaining about for months
11:20
and if not since since mythic was
11:23
introduced, is that you get to a point
11:26
where mythic is so hard balanced around
11:29
20 players previously, that if you do
11:32
not have a full raid, you do not
11:34
complete the raid. And I can tell you
11:37
how many times we've been sitting in
11:39
like literally picking up randoms out of
11:42
the looking for group because there are
11:44
two bodies left to fill for that 20 spot
11:47
uh that if we don't get them, it we
11:50
can't compensate for it. So, this is
11:53
huge for all the guilds that want to do
11:56
do mythic and maybe have like 15 16
12:00
people
12:01
uh that are you know really into it and
12:03
want to do it with one not necessarily
12:06
just having to pick random people and
12:07
and hoping that they gel with your
12:09
group, which when you're doing mythic,
12:11
man, that's a struggle.
12:12
Um and two, it lets them experience
12:15
content that they otherwise would be
12:17
unable to experience that they want to.
12:20
So, this is massive for that and it also
12:23
just helps keep guilds alive that want
12:26
to be mythic rating guilds because it
12:27
gives them that flexibility that if one
12:28
person steps down, they're not
12:30
immediately tanked for the entire rest
12:32
of that season. So, like it's
12:34
it's a huge quality of life improvement
12:37
and with the way the game has been
12:38
balancing and we know that flex does
12:41
work for a certain extent, having that
12:43
smaller window of 15 to 25
12:47
is perfect, right? It It It means that
12:49
they can balance the numbers within
12:51
that, fine-tune it instead of having it
12:53
be from 10 to 40 or 10 to 30, which is a
12:56
huge range for normal and heroic. So,
13:00
they can still make them difficult but
13:02
make it more accessible. Huge quality of
13:04
life improvement.
13:05
>> Yeah, and from the other end, it also
13:06
means that more people can potentially
13:08
take a dip in mythic rating without
13:10
having to first cross the you must be
13:12
this tall to ride this ride bar of
13:14
having to have 20 people committed and
13:17
showing up on the same day.
13:18
>> Yeah.
13:19
>> Which is an obstacle.
13:22
>> Well, and exactly 20 people because, you
13:24
know, if one person
13:25
can't
13:26
>> You up that day, you get a cold, you
13:28
know.
13:28
>> I I mean, I tried to I've tried we when
13:30
we were doing
13:32
uh the Goblin raid and I was subbing in
13:34
for for my employee cuz
13:36
his guild needed a healer for the the
13:38
one night and they were doing Mug'thol
13:39
and I was doing Mug'thol Mythic. They
13:41
were we were trying to do it with 19 and
13:43
it was impossible. Just It was
13:45
absolutely impossible cuz the soak
13:46
mechanics were all based around having
13:48
20 people with a very specific split of
13:51
healers and and tanks accounted for. So,
13:54
like you couldn't. It was It was a
13:57
nightmare.
13:58
>> So, yeah, I personally think that that'd
13:59
be interesting to see if they end up
14:01
lifting the amount of people you have to
14:03
have or if they broaden it or if they
14:06
tighten it or if they come up with
14:08
different ways to tune it because I just
14:10
why I think they're up to here is a kind
14:11
of little
14:12
one boss test
14:15
to see how how to make this work for for
14:17
other range. Um it's one thing to
14:19
balance for one boss in one instance and
14:22
another thing to try and get this across
14:24
an entire raid, you know, where you've
14:26
got like 10 people. I mean, 10 bosses.
14:29
But also to to talk about briefly
14:32
the void
14:34
showdowns, uh which I think is
14:37
interesting because now we're going to
14:39
other worlds to fight the void. Um and
14:42
it's
14:43
on the one hand it's something they've
14:45
done before. They did it in Legion.
14:47
Uh they had multiple worlds like Legion
14:49
Battlefronts where you went to other
14:50
worlds the Legion was invading. Uh this
14:52
time you're going to go to two different
14:54
worlds and fight the the void on these
14:57
planets. One's a frozen wasteland and
14:59
the other is a big fungus place. Uh
15:02
I think it's I can't pronounce either of
15:04
these names, but I'll try. Uh Ny'alotha,
15:07
which is the fungus and it's got
15:09
Ethereals there, another faction of
15:10
Ethereals, which I'm interested to see
15:12
if they're also cuckoo for voidy puffs.
15:15
Um and there's Val, which is just the
15:19
short name. I can't I I know why I said
15:20
I couldn't pronounce Val. That's like,
15:22
what?
15:24
Val, I thought it was like Valatalk, but
15:25
it turns out to be that's just a comma
15:27
and more words. So, it was like
15:29
Valafarotha.
15:31
What's that word word?
15:31
>> We We actually have a couple more things
15:33
about this that have been data mined,
15:35
but not confirmed yet.
15:36
>> Oh, go for it.
15:37
>> Is that so
15:40
the void showdown specifically refers to
15:42
basically luring out and killing
15:45
whatever void lieutenant is in charge in
15:47
these subzones.
15:49
Um there is hints that that will then
15:51
unlock a heroic world tier. Um not sure
15:55
if it's just for those zones. I think
15:57
the implication is that it is, but it
15:59
seems like the heroic world tier from
16:00
Legion may be starting to
16:03
it creep its way into the retail game.
16:05
Um yeah, so that's just a neat thing.
16:07
They haven't confirmed it, but there's a
16:08
lot of I think the achievement
16:09
specifically for killing one of the
16:11
world bosses in a void showdown mentions
16:14
uh a heroic world tier. So.
16:16
>> I'm I'm interested in why they're
16:19
choosing to do this here and now during
16:21
this patch.
16:23
And the reason I say that is because it
16:24
feels weird that we're going to other
16:27
planets to fight the void after and I'm
16:29
not going to spoil anything, but
16:31
directly following the events of uh the
16:35
current raid tier.
16:37
>> of the patch.
16:38
>> Yeah, like it it it seems like this
16:40
would have almost been better as a
16:42
lead-in to midnight. Where
16:45
>> Yeah.
16:46
>> Or the next patch, the actual next
16:48
patch, 12.1. This might have been
16:51
something that we missed.
16:53
>> I don't think that I don't think it's
16:53
going to happen.
16:54
>> think I don't think it would either
16:55
because of the the way that the story
16:56
ended. Like it just seems like a a weird
16:58
choice. Like it almost feels like this
17:01
is where you This is like a They were
17:03
working on it, it didn't get finished,
17:05
and now it is, and they put it in. And
17:07
I'm not saying that's what happened. I'm
17:08
not saying that as a negative. I'm just
17:09
saying like the placement and timing
17:11
just feels weird. It like
17:12
>> That's That's also how I felt about the
17:14
12.0.5 features, to be fair, except for
17:16
original sites because of some of the
17:18
stuff that happens there, but like
17:20
adding in more void-related attacks on
17:23
the zone after the event story, yeah,
17:26
felt weird.
17:27
>> Well, I mean, I Liz mentioned this
17:29
earlier, how how full 1205 felt. And now
17:33
1207 feels really full. And one of the
17:35
things, looking at the void showdowns,
17:37
looking at the the omnium folio, which
17:41
as Liz said, borrowed power. Um and then
17:44
looking at the new raid and the fact
17:46
that it's testing out the whole
17:49
um flex, you know, mythic. And you're
17:52
looking at the lore walking, which seems
17:53
to lead into something involving uh
17:56
what's that name? The Divine Land of
17:57
Spears or whatever, the the the the
17:58
island Phil was talking about. All of
18:00
this feels to me like it's test stuff.
18:03
Like, can we get this to be stable on
18:05
live? Can these mechanics be live? Like,
18:09
I and I don't know why I feel that way
18:10
cuz it doesn't feel like a PTR thing,
18:12
but it does feel a little bit like
18:14
they're they're throwing stuff at the
18:16
wall to see what works and what sticks.
18:20
Do Do Does anyone else get that sense?
18:21
Like that there's just so much stuff in
18:23
these patches.
18:24
>> There's always an element of that, I
18:25
think. Um I don't think we we're ever
18:28
going to escape that.
18:30
Um so, who knows? Like I mean, some of
18:33
this
18:33
>> really busy patches.
18:35
>> Yeah, and some of this does feel like
18:36
iteration on things we've seen before.
18:37
Like these These void showdowns,
18:40
honestly, remind me of like a souped-up
18:43
version of the uh two things in
18:45
particular. One was the Legion invasions
18:48
from Argus, where we followed the Legion
18:50
to planets that they were invading and
18:51
fought them there. In fact, I think Val
18:54
is one of those.
18:55
>> Val is one of them. It's one of the It's
18:56
one of the three planets we go to. Cuz
18:58
we go to a fire a fire planet, an ice
18:59
planet, and a fell planet.
19:01
>> Yeah, and like stand near the fire.
19:02
Well, there's also like a forest one,
19:04
too, and I thought Nighthold Nighthold
19:05
was that one, but it's different cuz
19:07
that one's like an actual nighttime
19:08
forest planet, which was actually a map
19:10
that got reused in Shadowlands, but
19:12
anyway.
19:13
Um the other thing that sort of reminds
19:14
me of is the elemental invasions that
19:17
were in that one corner in of
19:20
uh Caldrazas in Dragonflight where you
19:22
would basically go to that alternate
19:24
timeline where the primalists had won
19:27
and you'd have like additional world
19:29
quests and zone events and world bosses
19:31
that spawned in there. This reminds me
19:33
of that specifically a little bit.
19:36
But um
19:37
>> Yeah. Yeah, I feel
19:37
>> I know some of I know some of the
19:38
features we're getting are also like
19:40
they don't always seem necessarily on
19:42
target because Blizzard has lots of
19:43
teams working in parallel and sometimes
19:45
someone just has a cool idea like day
19:47
core tools don't, you know, fit in with
19:49
anything else that was necessarily in
19:51
the patch, but you know, somebody worked
19:53
on this and thought it was a cool idea
19:54
and implemented it and they threw it out
19:56
there. It's It's apparently a lot of
19:57
fun.
19:58
>> project sometime.
19:59
>> Someone had a passion project for prop
20:00
hunts and I don't blame them.
20:03
>> Or like I like you just made the point
20:05
um sometimes it feels like this is stuff
20:07
they were trying to get done and didn't
20:09
quite get done.
20:10
So maybe they're just bringing it in
20:12
now. I mean, if you had it like 90% done
20:15
why wouldn't you just keep working on
20:16
it? You're going to throw away all that
20:17
work now? I mean maybe it'll feel a
20:20
little awkward, but better to have the
20:21
content than not, right?
20:23
>> Yeah.
20:24
>> But regardless, I feel like we've talked
20:25
about that quite a bit cuz it is nearly
20:28
Yeah, okay. Um
20:30
we should probably talk about the
20:32
Gilnean themed transmog trading post
20:35
deal because I just went and blew a
20:36
whole bunch of tendies. So I'm I'm going
20:39
to sit back and not talk about it for a
20:41
second just because I feel like number
20:43
one, Liz should get to talk and number
20:45
two I don't want to just rant about how
20:47
great I liked the Teenage Mutant Ninja
20:48
Turtles outfits. So yeah.
20:50
>> sits at my D&D table in my in-game wow
20:52
house.
20:53
>> I appreciate that three of us three or
20:54
four of us now have built D&D tables and
20:56
they just keep getting bigger and
20:57
better. It's fun.
20:58
>> I have any I have yet I have yet to
21:00
fully rebuild it.
21:02
>> Our adventurers are nerds, too. Good to
21:03
know.
21:04
>> Yep.
21:04
>> Well, I
21:05
you got to you got to be a nerd. That's
21:08
how are we here otherwise?
21:10
Um
21:11
Uh so yes, this month's trading post is
21:15
Gilnean themed.
21:16
>> Two horses.
21:18
>> Yeah, there are two horses,
21:21
but the thing about the horses that I
21:24
have a problem with is they're ground
21:25
mounts. How often do I use a ground
21:27
mount? Very rarely. So these horses
21:30
>> I actually found myself using my ground
21:32
mount a lot in the the the neighborhood.
21:34
>> Oh yeah, that's fair. It's just for the
21:37
price, I'm not going to I don't think
21:40
I'm going to get a lot of use out of
21:41
these, but there are hats.
21:44
There are a lot of hats, guys, including
21:48
a little off-center fascinator with some
21:51
lace on it. And yeah, it's perfect.
21:56
It's perfect. Um
21:58
>> I get a tanuki suit. I've been asking
22:00
for a tanuki suit since they started
22:01
doing this stuff. I get a tanuki suit.
22:04
>> I And this is this is like the third
22:06
>> on while I'm dressed up as a puppy.
22:08
>> Uh this is like the third tanuki suit
22:10
we've gotten. This one's like a white
22:12
fox. So
22:13
>> Yes, which is perfect.
22:15
>> Um
22:16
so yes, you could be a vulpera wearing a
22:18
fox costume.
22:20
That could be a thing.
22:21
>> All right, all right, while riding a fox
22:23
with a fox pet. And if you're a hunter,
22:25
two more fox pets. Two more fox pets,
22:27
yeah. Don't talk to me or my son or my
22:29
son or my son or my son or my son ever
22:30
again.
22:32
I just met this fox, but if I had to, I
22:35
would kill everybody in this room and
22:37
then myself.
22:38
>> Uh but yes, many stylish hats and I love
22:41
it. So many hats. There are like four
22:44
very stylish hats.
22:45
>> And more importantly, a top hat.
22:47
>> these hats Yeah, and some of these hats
22:49
still show your hair, too, from what
22:51
I've seen, which is something people
22:52
have been asking for. Although on
22:54
Although on some races it shows why that
22:56
technology is not ready yet.
22:58
Uh
22:58
the
23:00
uh one of the top hats uh on
23:02
specifically at gnomes and mechagnomes
23:04
just it doesn't it's just it just looks
23:07
like you somehow speared your hair
23:09
through the hat. Not a good look.
23:11
>> Yeah, I I have to say that right now
23:13
because of this particular
23:15
trading post, I now demand tortollans
23:18
become playable. I demand it.
23:19
>> Okay.
23:20
I'm on board.
23:20
>> Because I have and now I can basically
23:23
make all four
23:26
of the Ninja Turtles. I'm some of this
23:27
stuff might have already been in the
23:28
game. Like I'm sure there were katanas
23:30
people were using, but now you can
23:32
dual-wield katanas on a budget. You
23:34
don't have to have the expensive one,
23:36
although I do already have it. I have in
23:38
fact both of the big two-handed uh
23:40
both the blade of Hanna and Typhoon. And
23:42
it's the same model, so the fact that I
23:44
have both is just ridiculous. But
23:46
regardless, I do have both and I have
23:48
the green one that you got in Burning
23:50
Crusade. And now I've got the one I just
23:52
bought today because I want to have a
23:54
variety of Titan's Grip
23:56
katana options
23:58
uh for my tortollan who I demand we get.
24:01
And in the meantime, I'm probably going
24:02
to use a dragon person. Just you know,
24:04
I'll just be like pretend I'm a tur-
24:06
Just just go along with it.
24:08
Um but yes, I I I want playable
24:11
tortollan so we can be the Teenage
24:13
Mutant Turtles. I'll just make four
24:14
characters and just have one of each. I
24:17
have the staff. You have nunchucks now.
24:19
There's even an off-hand nunchuck if
24:22
you're a mage or something and you just
24:23
want to nunchuck people, you can just
24:25
off-hand nunchuck them.
24:27
Ah, I'm so happy. I'm so ridiculously
24:30
happy at the very idea of this. And it's
24:32
got nothing to do with with Gilneas or
24:35
whatever, but it's they do that every
24:36
time. They just throw in a whole bunch
24:38
of other stuff. The Gilneas stuff is
24:39
basically two horses uh
24:41
and then like
24:43
two crossbows and two outfits because
24:46
it's basically like it's the rebels from
24:49
outside. Yeah, there's more hats. And
24:53
then there's just hats that are there
24:55
that aren't even like they're not
24:57
there's a the multiple fox suits as Joe
24:59
pointed out but then there's just a
25:00
couple hats that just there. It's like
25:02
if you need a hat hey buy some more
25:04
hats.
25:05
Uh and then again bouncy dog bouncy
25:07
happy dog from uh
25:09
I want to say it's from Dragonflight. Uh
25:11
isn't that model originally from
25:12
Dragonflight? The the big dogon type
25:15
dog?
25:16
>> I thought it was before that.
25:18
>> No it's Dragonflight. It's uh it's the
25:20
Taiwan model.
25:21
>> Taiwan yes.
25:22
>> Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah.
25:23
>> Yeah.
25:24
>> Yeah. Lot of cool stuff. Uh that's
25:27
I got nothing else to say because if I
25:28
don't stop myself now we'll just be
25:30
going on and on forever.
25:31
>> Yeah. Um but the the bonus reward is
25:35
another Gilnean ensemble which uh
25:37
includes a red fedora. Is that what you
25:40
would call that? That's kind of what it
25:42
looks like to me. What
25:44
>> it's a pork pie.
25:45
>> Mhm.
25:46
>> Because I just want to say that I'm
25:48
saying that because I don't want to say
25:49
it's a fedora cuz then it's very much my
25:51
lady you know I I don't want to do that
25:52
so.
25:55
>> Uh so yes.
25:56
So many hats and I am so happy. I am so
25:59
happy for hats.
26:01
>> Now speaking of things that are not
26:02
going to make us as happy but you know I
26:05
happen have to talk about them. Go
26:06
ahead.
26:06
>> I was going to say I'm not I'm not
26:07
actually as mad about this one as I
26:09
thought I was going to be.
26:10
>> See
26:11
let's just straight up talk about this.
26:13
Uh
26:13
Diablo 4 is doing a World of Warcraft
26:17
themed month or so. Um it's it's like
26:21
basically it's all paid stuff you can go
26:24
buy or there's one
26:27
of those reliquary deals that you can
26:29
get half of the stuff in it for just in
26:31
game money but then you have to buy the
26:33
other half.
26:34
>> Honestly not even half of it but there's
26:36
a little there's a little bit of free
26:38
stuff.
26:39
>> I want to say the first four at least
26:40
cuz I've I'm almost done doing it
26:42
because here's the deal. Um I I am
26:45
sitting here simultaneously upset about
26:47
this and also the the beneficiary of it
26:50
because my wife one of my the people who
26:52
works for with my wife in this the
26:54
government of Alberta
26:55
is a huge fan of this show and us.
26:58
And found out she was married to me and
27:00
threw platinum at her to give to me.
27:04
So I got gifted a whole ton of platinum
27:06
and I bought all this. I bought every
27:09
set. I bought the entirety of them
27:12
because it was cheaper also. It's it
27:13
actually cost much less than everything
27:16
and because they put Ashkandi on a
27:18
freaking necromancer.
27:20
>> Are you kidding me?
27:22
>> Yeah, but we talked about this. At least
27:24
it wasn't a warlock. You said it was a
27:25
warlock and I was like
27:26
>> it was a warlock at first. So yeah, but
27:28
like at least at least at least uh
27:30
necromancers can use two-handed weapons
27:32
and they have the Death Knight armor
27:33
set. They look the part.
27:35
>> Yeah, and also now that I have that
27:38
weapon I can use it on my barbarian.
27:39
>> Yeah, there you go.
27:41
>> Weapon two-handed weapons don't care
27:43
about class as long as the class can use
27:44
them. So if you're a right now if you
27:47
are a necromancer, you can use sulfurous
27:50
unless you can't use hammers.
27:52
>> Yeah, you guys can use hammers, can't
27:53
you?
27:54
>> I don't know.
27:55
>> Paladins can't. I know that one.
27:57
>> Um regardless, I these are beautiful
27:59
sets. They are I'm going to say that
28:01
before we get into the next
28:02
>> Oh yeah, no the art direction on these
28:03
is absolutely gorgeous. The tier two
28:05
druid set that they did made me
28:07
like I want to spend real money on this
28:09
because of that. Go ahead.
28:10
>> Liz?
28:11
>> And the real thing about these armor
28:13
sets, these tier two look like armor
28:15
sets in Diablo 4,
28:17
Diablo 4 has armor dyes.
28:20
>> Yes, I was going to say that.
28:21
>> You can make
28:23
You can make any of these sets any color
28:25
you want with all Okay, there are
28:26
limitations on any color.
28:28
>> Of the colors that are available.
28:29
>> But also I would like I would like to
28:31
>> a lot of color options.
28:33
>> There I want to throw something out
28:34
there too that's a little like I don't
28:35
know if it's Easter egg but this has to
28:37
be intentional.
28:39
Way way way way way way back when when
28:42
hero specs were still being uh talked
28:45
about, there was a design feature or
28:49
some uh was that one of the BlizzCons
28:50
they were talking about it where they
28:52
had like a note it was a slide on the
28:54
thing. We talked about it on the site
28:55
years ago. I was present in the the
28:58
crowd when when this was like up on
29:00
there and it was a thing where they
29:02
pointed out that like they were looking
29:03
at all these different hero classes for
29:05
all of the specs where the original idea
29:07
was that classes in WoW could like you
29:09
know hero spec into something. We have
29:11
the hero talents now but one of them was
29:14
for the Shaman which was for the spirit
29:16
caller. And so now the spirit born
29:20
getting the tier two Shaman set is I
29:23
think a cheeky nod to that because it is
29:27
the way that the spirit born plays is
29:29
almost exactly what they were talking
29:31
about with the spirit caller for Shaman
29:35
way back when. So like I think I I think
29:37
that was a really interesting neat
29:39
little touch.
29:40
>> Yeah, I also really briefly before we go
29:42
on to talk about the other part of this
29:43
that I think is not as good. Um
29:46
because of the dyes that Liz mentioned
29:49
and because one of the models you can
29:51
get is Thunderfury. Um
29:54
>> Did somebody say Thunderfury?
29:56
>> Yes. Barbarians can do a thing. Do you
29:58
remember there's a Burning Crusade elf
30:02
who used to wander around on a dragon
30:04
and murder you randomly?
30:07
>> Uh and he was wearing wrath but red with
30:12
two Thunderfuries. And since there's now
30:15
I have the dragon from the from the doom
30:18
set. Uh I bought I got the dragon cuz
30:21
you know again ton ton of money
30:23
a ton of platinum.
30:24
I ride around on a dragon in red wrath
30:27
killing things as I see them. I just
30:28
jump off my mount and start killing them
30:30
going haha this is what it feels like.
30:33
Uh the Diablo mobs don't don't know. I'm
30:35
actually telling myself that this is
30:37
actually my original WoW character
30:39
somehow stuck in sanctuary going you
30:42
guys have a serious demon problem. I
30:44
thought we had one but this place is you
30:46
guys have got to get this under control
30:49
regardless. However, have you tried
30:50
yelling at it? Yeah, cuz I yeah,
30:53
actually I do.
30:54
But but there are problems.
30:57
One of them is the fact that as Liz
30:58
pointed out they they've also done
31:00
recolors of this these exact sets for
31:03
void assault. They did it when they
31:05
brought back the second Mage Tower
31:07
different set but still they they've
31:09
been doing this a lot.
31:10
Was it also the didn't they bring these
31:12
sets back with the redesigned versions
31:14
for the anniversary a year or two ago?
31:16
>> Yeah, yeah, these were all anniversary
31:18
sets. I mean one of the things was
31:22
you know, this is tier two. They brought
31:24
back reimagined tier two sets for the
31:27
anniversary in wow, not Diablo. And like
31:31
Death Knights Evokers and none of them
31:33
had tier two sets. So they imagined a
31:37
tier two set for them and that's
31:39
actually the set that the necromancer
31:42
has in Diablo this reimagined Death
31:44
Knight tier two set which
31:47
I think it looks really great. And of
31:50
course since there
31:51
since there weren't Death Knights in
31:55
vanilla when tier two was a thing,
31:57
they're using this reimagined set and
32:01
there wasn't a particular weapon for
32:03
Death Knights. So they just they grabbed
32:05
Ashbringer. They so they just put
32:07
something. They just put something in
32:08
there.
32:09
>> There wasn't a particular weapon for
32:11
Death Knights. Death Knights don't have
32:12
any famously associated two-handed
32:13
swords or anything.
32:14
>> Well, except except I think the last
32:17
Warcraft what's the last Warcraft
32:19
crossover they did.
32:21
>> They did the Arthas thing, right? With
32:23
the Frostmourne.
32:24
>> They did an Arthas armor set that I
32:26
think had a a Frostmourne. So you can't
32:28
just
32:29
>> Man I talked about it. They could have
32:30
done Shadowmourne.
32:31
>> Shadowmourne, yeah.
32:32
>> They did do Shadowmourne.
32:35
Yes, you can buy one of the
32:38
Look at this Liz, go ahead.
32:40
>> I So, the axe is in the
32:43
Azaroth Reliquary that you can buy and
32:46
then
32:48
after you buy it with money, it costs
32:49
$15, then you can buy everything in it
32:53
with tokens.
32:54
>> It's not. It's in the
32:55
It's in the Weapons of Azaroth second
32:58
completely separate thing that you buy.
33:01
>> And that purchase So,
33:03
like the thing is
33:05
all of these purchases, the armor sets
33:06
individually, there's an armor set for
33:08
each class and one class cannot wear
33:10
another class's armor.
33:12
Uh each of them costs $28.
33:14
A $28 real money. You can, as Matt
33:18
pointed out, buy a bundle which costs
33:21
way less than buying all of them. $57
33:24
will get you the bundle of all classes
33:25
which is an amazing value, but it's over
33:29
$50 for a bunch of
33:31
a bunch of digital armor sets. I I
33:34
actually really want the Necromancer
33:35
set. I want it, but I'm also like, this
33:37
is such a stupid thing to spend real
33:40
money on.
33:42
>> I especially Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. And
33:44
that's the thing is it makes it like it
33:46
feels like it's punishing. Like I felt I
33:49
If I didn't have access to this guy's
33:51
platinum, I would have felt dirty. And
33:54
in fact, when I saw that I was going to
33:57
just buy the warrior set. And so I saw
34:00
and and I was super excited that the
34:02
warrior got um two weapons from
34:05
Blackwing Lair, Crul'shorukh and Doom's
34:08
Edge. I'm like, yeah. Uh hunters used to
34:10
take those all the time, so I'm glad I
34:11
finally get them.
34:13
But then I saw
34:14
where Ashkandi was. And first I saw that
34:16
that the paladin had the Untamed Blade
34:19
and I was like, that's weird. Why
34:21
wouldn't the paladin have Ashkandi? Like
34:23
I figured the paladin would have
34:24
Ashkandi, but no, there it is, the
34:25
Untamed Blade. I'm like, oh, that's
34:26
weird. Then I got to the Necromancer, I
34:27
was like, okay, it it it's not on the
34:29
warlock, but I'm not buying a
34:31
Necromancer I would never wear that. And
34:34
then I saw that the fact that the bundle
34:36
versus if I bought just the barb set, it
34:39
would have been 2800 platinum.
34:41
>> Yeah.
34:42
>> Buying all, I think eight, six, however
34:45
many there are, buying all of them was
34:47
only 5700 platinum.
34:50
>> Yeah.
34:50
It cost just
34:52
It's like a dollar more than buying two
34:54
sets. So, why why not buy the whole
34:56
thing?
34:57
>> to if you know you're going to get two
34:58
sets, you might as well just buy the
35:00
whole thing. But at the same time, if if
35:02
I didn't get
35:04
this as a gift, I would not justify it.
35:06
>> It feels bad, man.
35:08
>> In a world where I can sometimes look at
35:10
at my bills and go,
35:12
I are we going to be able to afford this
35:14
this month?
35:15
The idea of of dropping like 70 bucks
35:19
when you also all is said and done uh
35:22
on this stuff, it's
35:24
crazy. Yeah, it's nuts.
35:27
>> And then the the weapon set is another
35:30
15 or 20 dollars?
35:31
>> It's the weapon set.
35:33
>> Yeah, the weapons just by themselves,
35:35
which is Shadowmourne, Shadowmourne, the
35:37
rogue daggers, the rogue legendaries.
35:39
It's just every legendary
35:41
uh except Sulfuras. Sulfuras was in the
35:43
other one. But it's like Shadowmourne,
35:45
Val'anyr, the two rogue daggers, and
35:49
Terrok's Terrogos's Rest. It's those
35:51
weapons. And that's 1500 platinum.
35:54
That's so 15 bucks US. And then there's
35:57
the other reliquary where you have to
35:59
you can get four free and the rest you
36:01
got to pay 15 bucks for.
36:02
>> And so the bonus item on that reliquary,
36:06
which
36:07
how reliquaries work is a bunch of
36:09
rewards. You buy them with tokens of
36:11
different kinds depending on what kind
36:12
of reliquary it is.
36:14
And if you buy everything, you get a
36:16
bonus reward. The bonus reward for this
36:19
is a miniature carpet
36:23
that will and pets in Diablo 4
36:26
the reason you have a pet in Diablo 4 is
36:28
it will follow along after you all the
36:30
time and pick up gold.
36:31
>> Yes. Thank Thank you.
36:33
You don't have to They curbed that from
36:35
Torchlight. Thank you.
36:36
>> So, finally the Torchlight pet, I love
36:38
it.
36:39
>> But not only does it get gold, it also
36:40
picks up all the other junk except
36:42
weapons and stuff. Like it picks up gems
36:45
and it picks up gold.
36:47
>> Yeah.
36:48
>> Yeah. So, I you can't run without it.
36:51
Like it seriously you do not want to
36:52
have to pick all this stuff up yourself.
36:54
It will drive you insane. So, yeah, the
36:56
pet's necessary. Uh I I would rather
36:59
Here's the other problem. Uh we haven't
37:01
even mentioned that they also put up a
37:03
series of mounts and other cosmetics.
37:06
There's an Anzu You can buy Anzu. You
37:09
can buy uh the screaming dragon that
37:12
goes on about magic. I thought Anzu was
37:14
a drop.
37:15
>> No.
37:16
Not in this game. On Diablo 4 it didn't.
37:19
>> All right. He's a straight-up you spend
37:20
a 2800 platinum and there he is. Okay,
37:23
then they might Raven Lord.
37:25
Yeah, the because I'm the Raven Lord I
37:27
thought was also a very small drop
37:28
chance.
37:29
>> I have not seen it drop anywhere. I've
37:30
not heard about it drop.
37:31
>> No, I don't I don't I don't think they
37:34
do drops like that. It's a reliquary or
37:36
it's a purchase.
37:37
>> Uh
37:38
>> I mean there's There's a few pets that I
37:40
There's a There's a animal on the same
37:42
skeleton that I know gets as a drop cuz
37:44
I
37:44
>> Oh, that's Yeah, okay. That's maybe what
37:46
I'm thinking about. Yeah.
37:48
But it's also one that goes on the
37:49
rabbit.
37:50
>> a It's like a reskin of the basilisk
37:51
mounts, I think.
37:53
>> Yep. In fact, I'm convinced they
37:54
designed the basilisk mounts so they
37:56
could put Anzu on them.
37:57
>> So, you put a bird in it. Yeah.
37:58
>> Yeah. But yeah, there's like not Targos
38:01
uh Sindragosa.
38:03
Uh you got her. You can ride her around.
38:05
Um you can get Anzu.
38:07
>> Also Also so cool.
38:10
>> Yeah, it's a very good That is a very
38:12
good dragon mount. It is
38:13
>> And yet.
38:14
>> Yeah. And yet you're spending 30 bucks
38:17
on it.
38:18
>> Yeah.
38:19
>> And there's like There's five of them.
38:21
Uh one of them is the weapon thing we
38:23
just mentioned, Uh but the other four
38:25
are like there's two mounts and two
38:27
pets, one of which is baby Sargeras
38:28
essentially. I'm sitting here going
38:31
I'm not giving you money for Sargeras as
38:33
a pet. I'm not.
38:35
All you're getting from me. Like you
38:36
know, I've already this platinum was
38:38
given to me and I've used it and I'm and
38:41
I'm like looking going I'm only I'm 400
38:43
short on buying that. No.
38:45
>> Hey you. I exactly. Exactly.
38:49
>> So, the fact that it's platinum means
38:52
that there's also that weird disconnect
38:54
where you don't have you either have
38:57
like this weird leftover chunk of
38:59
platinum in your account that isn't good
39:01
to buy anything, but it's enough that
39:03
you're looking at it going
39:05
I got 400 platinum and and this thing
39:08
costs 1,500 platinum. That's 900
39:11
platinum.
39:11
>> I've got 700 platinum sitting in my
39:13
coffers right now.
39:14
>> Yeah, and you're like
39:16
>> close
39:17
>> justify this? Can I not justify this?
39:19
>> Yeah, it's
39:20
>> But ultimately like in in here's the
39:22
thing, I I get on Blizzard a lot about
39:26
their microtransactions,
39:28
but at the end of the day these are all
39:31
cosmetics and
39:34
when it's in that realm, I find I don't
39:36
care as much. Like I don't I'm not as
39:38
hateful about it.
39:40
>> I'm not hateful about it.
39:41
>> I will
39:43
I as long as it's reasonably priced.
39:45
However, we need to move on because we
39:47
need to get to the one that I am mad
39:49
about. Uh
39:50
>> Okay, go.
39:51
>> So, not only does Diablo say what I'm
39:54
mad about. I'm sure it is. Diablo has
39:56
its own its own thing and we've we've we
39:59
we're going to talk about another one
40:00
that I'm sure Liz has emotions about as
40:02
well. Uh but there are two new house
40:04
skins for wild, which turn your house
40:06
into a cozy treehouse. One is Sakura
40:09
pink
40:10
>> them.
40:10
>> and the other is green.
40:12
>> Uh here's the problem.
40:14
>> so much.
40:14
>> They're They're gorgeous. The art
40:16
direction absolutely phenomenal. The
40:18
houses themselves, I am in love with
40:22
them. That pink one especially matches
40:25
my aesthetic ideals.
40:27
Um, however,
40:29
uh, it's $40 USD or 4,000 Hearthstone
40:34
for just the two trees or 7,500
40:39
Hearthstone or $75 USD
40:42
for the entire bundle that comes with
40:45
more exterior items. And again, these
40:47
are gorgeous. These are absolutely
40:49
gorgeous. I am not spending $75 on this.
40:52
Are you blanking kidding me?
40:55
Like, I understand that we need to pay
40:57
artists, but like
40:58
I can't imagine I can't imagine that
41:01
lowering that price would not result in
41:04
a flood of people potentially wanting to
41:06
buy it.
41:07
>> This is not a microtransaction at this
41:09
point. This is a macrotransaction.
41:12
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah.
41:13
>> This is ridiculous.
41:14
>> I am curious though cuz I know what my
41:16
demarc point is.
41:18
What what would be the point of which
41:20
you would have said, "Yeah, eff it. This
41:22
is this is, you know, throwaway money
41:24
because I like it and it's pretty."
41:25
>> Uh,
41:26
I would probably pay 30 for the bundle.
41:29
>> I was going to say about half of what
41:30
you're actually talking about.
41:31
>> cuz that's slightly more than the
41:33
bundles where slightly more on par I
41:35
think with the bundles where you get
41:37
like a mountain of full transmog set.
41:39
>> Yep.
41:40
>> Um, and that has typically been about
41:41
the most expensive thing I will buy
41:43
other than the time that I fell asleep
41:45
and accidentally bought a bundle in
41:46
Diablo 4. So yeah, I think 30 is uh
41:50
>> Oh, no. I fell asleep.
41:52
>> This literally happened to me. I nodded
41:54
off while playing on controller and when
41:55
I woke up I was confirming the
41:57
microtransaction for uh
42:00
the horse and platinum package that cost
42:02
real money.
42:03
>> Oh, yeah. You know what's good about
42:04
that though? I one time that happened to
42:07
me not because I fell asleep but because
42:09
their server charged me twice.
42:12
>> Yeah.
42:13
>> But then I ended up like I've got an
42:14
extra bit of platinum and they're not
42:15
going to refund it, so I might as well
42:16
just buy that thing.
42:18
>> But yeah, like like getting back to it
42:19
like I mean Liz, I mean I'm I don't know
42:21
if you would agree with that. I mean
42:23
Matt already said the same Matt or Matt
42:25
already agreed with us, so
42:27
what do you think would be fair for
42:28
that, Liz?
42:29
>> Uh for the houses, I'd pay half what
42:31
they were asking. I'd pay 20 bucks. I
42:33
think I would have already If it was 20
42:35
bucks, I'd already bought it.
42:36
>> Yeah.
42:37
>> At 40 bucks, I'm
42:39
I'm thinking about it, but I'm probably
42:41
going to say no. I mean, it's like even
42:43
in Diablo, there's $28 armor bundles.
42:46
I'm like, "Man, I really want this. I'm
42:49
playing a lot of Diablo. I would have
42:50
fun wearing this." And I'm like, "$28
42:53
for one armor set for one class or
42:57
$57
42:58
for an armor set for every class? I
43:02
Uh but even that is less money than
43:04
these houses and I'm I'm having trouble.
43:06
I'm I'm struggling.
43:08
>> Yeah, and and like I've spent and and
43:10
maybe I'm the wrong audience, but like
43:12
I've spent like 20 $25 on a skin in
43:14
League of Legends for a character that I
43:16
absolutely adore because it's my main
43:19
and I wanted to make it look pretty.
43:21
I I've done that. I've been that person.
43:23
Um 75 feels like a really big ask even
43:27
for as gorgeous as these are,
43:29
especially in the current economic state
43:32
of the world. I would have thought that
43:34
they would have one, read the room, uh
43:38
and two, had a little more like
43:40
wherewithal. Like I want to know why
43:42
they came up with that that price point
43:44
for it. And where the conversation was
43:47
where
43:48
I can't imagine they're getting a ton of
43:50
sales of this. I'm sure people have
43:51
bought it, but it can't be nearly as
43:53
much as if it was half this price
43:56
because I think it wouldn't be it
43:57
wouldn't be double the people that were
43:59
buying it, but you toss this into
44:01
impulse purchase range at $20 mark, and
44:05
>> Uh-huh.
44:06
>> then it explodes. I have How many people
44:08
have wasted $20 on random stuff from the
44:12
like the Blizzard in-game shop because
44:15
it was cute or funny or they wanted to
44:17
have a Murloc backpack or whatever the
44:18
case is.
44:19
They would do the same thing here. So,
44:22
that's that's just my thing. It's just
44:25
Yeah.
44:26
>> Speaking of though, I think that that we
44:28
should talk about the final thing here.
44:30
Um Liz,
44:32
this one I'm pretty sure you put here.
44:34
>> No, but
44:35
>> You talked about
44:36
>> Uh
44:36
yeah, Hearthstone has another one of its
44:39
uh
44:40
gotcha games
44:41
coming in.
44:43
Uh which
44:44
uh
44:45
we talked about these. Uh Hearthstone
44:48
has a gotcha game that comes up
44:50
occasionally and it's just it's just uh
44:54
you spin the wheel, you get a prize.
44:56
That's all it is. That's the entire
44:58
game. Uh you spin the wheel, you get a
45:00
prize. Your first spin is free. I think
45:02
the second one costs $2. I think the
45:04
third one costs $6 or $8. But uh there's
45:09
really low chance to get the cool prizes
45:12
that you really want, which in this case
45:14
is an Alexstrasza skin, which is
45:16
actually less cool than the pets these
45:19
sometimes cost. But the tiny tiny
45:23
percent chance
45:25
that you you would get that is so small
45:29
so small that you're going to have to
45:31
get every reward before you get the cool
45:33
thing. And getting every reward is going
45:36
to set you back $150
45:39
or $160. It's so wildly expensive that
45:44
it's just kind of disgusting. Like if
45:46
they just said, "Hey, you can have this
45:48
Alexstrasza skin for $150." I would be,
45:52
"That's gross. I don't have that kind of
45:54
money." But it would feel less gross
45:56
than having it with this gambling game
45:59
where
46:00
even after you get all of the rewards
46:02
except for the one you want, the Okay,
46:06
if you get all of the rewards but two,
46:08
the chance for getting the good reward
46:10
is still sub 1%. That's
46:13
the the percentages are so low, they're
46:15
forcing you to just do "Oh, I'm just
46:17
going to buy one more spin. One more
46:18
spin." even as they get exponentially
46:21
more expensive. And it feels deceptive,
46:24
it feels gross, and every time this
46:27
comes around, I have this same reaction
46:30
to it, which
46:32
is that I I don't love it. I don't love
46:34
it.
46:35
>> I will say that I'm actually thankful
46:37
that they decided to not make it be like
46:39
that awesome King Krush baby dinosaur
46:42
thing. Um and
46:44
>> I'm not that there's anything wrong with
46:45
Alexstrasza.
46:46
>> They have Well, they've done a couple of
46:48
months that were skins, and a lot of
46:51
months where it's uh it's a pet, you
46:54
know, there was a bunny pet, the bunny
46:56
was really cute. It They've had so many
47:00
so many so cute you could die pets.
47:04
And yeah, but it's just so expensive,
47:06
and it's not just that they're selling
47:07
it. It's not
47:10
It would not feel as bad if they just
47:11
sold it. And I mean, Hearthstone has
47:13
other really expensive bundles. Like
47:15
right now, there is a bundle of three
47:18
mythic Ragnaros skins with um I believe
47:22
it comes with 18 Hearthstone packs of
47:24
various types. So, these three skins and
47:27
the handful of packs they come with is
47:28
$120.
47:30
And it's just the upsells in this game.
47:33
The nice thing is you don't have to buy
47:35
any of these upsells to play the game.
47:37
But it's
47:38
it's it's kind of annoying for for
47:40
Diablo, for Warcraft, for Hearthstone,
47:43
when you look into the game and you're
47:45
there's your
47:47
microtransactions are plastered
47:49
everywhere, and it's it feels like so
47:52
many of the game development assets are
47:55
going into purchases and not stuff that
47:58
you could get when you play the game. It
47:59
It feels extra bad in World of Warcraft
48:02
cuz you are playing paying to play the
48:04
game. We're paying every month to play
48:07
this game.
48:08
And yet, they're still saying, "Oh, but
48:11
if you want a treehouse, you want to be
48:13
in a treehouse in the game? Well, that's
48:14
an extra 40 bucks." So, it feels extra
48:18
bad
48:19
>> Yeah.
48:19
>> in Warcraft, but it feels bad enough in
48:22
these free-to-play games when the
48:24
microtransactions are through the roof.
48:27
>> I will also say though that at least
48:28
it's in a system that we can say, and I
48:33
I won't say what I would normally say
48:34
here cuz I don't feel like editing it
48:35
out later. Um
48:37
but this is this is like that scene in
48:41
uh the movie Major League uh where
48:43
Serrano
48:45
chucks off his uh worship of a god and
48:47
says, "I'll do it myself." Uh you can
48:50
make your own treehouse, and in fact,
48:51
people have been doing that since the
48:52
housing stuff has been available. Uh
48:54
>> Yeah.
48:54
>> People of people have found ways to to
48:57
make some really interesting
48:59
contraptions that rival anything Tears
49:01
of the Kingdom allowed people to make.
49:02
Uh in like really cool and creative
49:05
ways, and the system does at least
49:08
reward you for being creative with
49:09
what's available. So, at the end of the
49:11
day, as cute as this is and as
49:13
ready-made as it is,
49:15
we if I really wanted to, I could
49:17
probably go and make my own treehouse.
49:19
So, at least there's that.
49:20
>> I I have also thought, you know, I can I
49:23
can sit down, I could make my own
49:24
treehouse. I haven't put I've been
49:26
paralyzed with indecision about player
49:28
housing, so I haven't I haven't done
49:30
much with it.
49:32
Uh but yeah, things like they just feels
49:34
bad. I feel bad about it.
49:36
>> Fair.
49:36
>> Yeah, I I wanted Liz, if right now you
49:39
could do the uh site news so that we can
49:40
then talk about something cuz Joe wants
49:42
to talk about something in Diablo 4.
49:46
>> Diablo 4. Uh I would like to say thank
49:49
you to all of our supporters out there,
49:52
everyone who is tuning in, listening,
49:53
everyone who reads the site. Although
49:56
you just read the site and you don't
49:57
also tune in to listen, you aren't
49:58
hearing me, but thank you also to those
50:01
people who aren't listening to the
50:02
podcast. So, that's just a real blanket.
50:07
There.
50:08
But, I do want to give an extra special
50:10
thank you to our supporters on Patreon.
50:13
You guys are keeping the site alive and
50:16
thriving.
50:18
And um so, if you are able to support us
50:21
financially, you can subscribe on
50:23
patreon.com/blizzardwatch.
50:27
And if you give us a couple of dollars a
50:28
month, it just it just helps us out,
50:31
helps us support the site financially
50:33
and keep us going cuz I
50:35
you know, you know, the state of the
50:37
state of the world, the state of the ad
50:38
industry. Some some months we have
50:40
really good ones for ad revenue that
50:42
keeps everything running perfectly. Some
50:45
months, not so good. That's just that's
50:47
the nature of the game, and you don't
50:49
know which months are which.
50:51
You can make some guesses, but it's it's
50:53
an up-and-down game. And the Patreon the
50:56
the support we get from Patreon means,
50:59
you know, steady support. We know we're
51:01
getting that each month, and that gives
51:02
us
51:03
kind of the reliable income that lets us
51:05
do podcasts every week,
51:07
that lets us do posts every day, and
51:10
lets us keep keep being out there doing
51:13
things that I I hope you love. I'm
51:16
keeping my fingers crossed. So, if you
51:18
can support us, that's what that's what
51:20
you're supporting.
51:21
Uh if you give us $3 a month, you get
51:24
early access to all of our podcasts
51:26
without any ads. And if you give us $5 a
51:29
month, you get that, but you also get
51:30
ads-free access to the website at
51:32
blizzardwatch.com.
51:35
But, if you can't support us
51:36
financially, I totally understand that.
51:39
You can support us by tuning in and
51:41
listening, visiting the website at
51:42
blizzardwatch.com, or by following us
51:44
and so on social media. We are Blizzard

51:59
us for the latest news, for clips of
52:01
these podcasts, and and just sometimes
52:05
weird commentary.
52:07
Sometimes stuff just happens. And you
52:09
can what really helps out on social
52:11
media is if you share things, like them,
52:14
leave comments, or leave reviews for the
52:18
podcast. Those things all feed the
52:20
algorithm and help other people find out
52:23
about the site and the podcasts, and
52:25
that's that's what drives the world.
52:28
For better or worse. If you have
52:30
questions for this or any of our
52:31
podcast, please send them to us. We love
52:34
answering your questions, even though we
52:35
don't always have time on Blizzard Watch
52:37
Podcast. Send them to
52:38
52:40
Specify the show in the subject and any
52:43
special pronunciation of your name. You
52:45
can also contact us on Discord, and if
52:47
you're a Patreon subscriber, you can do
52:50
so through the Patreon Q&A Podcast
52:51
question channel. It's our way of saying
52:53
thank you for supporting us. So, thank
52:55
you all so much for being here, and if
52:58
you can, patreon.com/blizzardwatch.
53:01
If you can't, well, thanks for tuning
53:03
in. I appreciate you.
53:05
>> And we appreciate you, Liz, for doing
53:06
that, because that means we don't have
53:08
to. And quite frankly, I I would choke
53:11
on that. That's just a lot.
53:13
Every week.
53:14
>> That is so many words. I'm I get to the
53:15
end of that, and I'm like, I need to
53:17
breathe and have a drink of water.
53:21
>> Yeah, you go do that. Joe is going to
53:22
talk about the Let's just Joe, I'm just
53:25
going to let you go. Go ahead.
53:27
>> Yeah, so this has been the talk of the
53:28
town today because it's Tuesday at the
53:31
time of this recording, and that means
53:33
that we have discovered the most random
53:36
and greatest thing that Diablo 4's
53:38
expansion has given us. Friends, it's
53:41
been building since the Diablo IV first
53:44
release with the hidden quest to go and
53:46
find the the stamina potion, and then it
53:49
continued in the Vessel of Hatred with
53:51
the hidden quest to find the rusted
53:53
bardiche. Uh and now uh there's another
53:56
item that we can go find that now gives
53:58
us access to another lengthy quest chain
54:01
to go find the hidden bovine sanctuary
54:04
island just off the Isles of Scovos that
54:07
now leads us to an actual factual real
54:11
cow level in Diablo IV. Uh which this
54:15
has been one of the
54:18
it's been one of the coolest things. I
54:20
know it's such a a niche hidden thing,
54:22
but all the nods to all of the original
54:25
uh Diablo games, like the stamina potion
54:28
being like a like the joke in the game
54:30
is that you have to kill so many cows to
54:33
go get this thing.
54:35
Uh and it's look cuz the joke from
54:37
Diablo II was that stamina potions were
54:39
you drinking your milk uh to keep you
54:42
going because it was at the time where
54:43
the '90s got milk commercials were a
54:45
thing, so everybody made that joke. Um
54:48
so the stamina potions there, uh the
54:50
rusted bardiche has references to
54:53
uh again
54:54
like like I think it's Diablo III
54:55
references in there. You get to the
54:58
You get to the island and there's a a
55:00
whole uh like a unicorn skeleton
55:05
uh that's like, "What is this? It's a
55:06
horse. It looks like it has a bone
55:08
coming out of its head."
55:09
All these little touches are so cool,
55:12
and the fact that it is only available
55:14
one day a week, and it is only available
55:17
on Tuesdays is hilarious because it is
55:20
server reset day. Go ahead.
55:22
>> That's the thing. You know, you're
55:23
playing World of Warcraft, the servers
55:26
are down for maintenance. The Diablo
55:27
servers don't do maintenance on that
55:29
schedule. So
55:32
what what a better time to go visit the
55:35
cow level?
55:36
>> Actually, there is one other thing I
55:38
need to mention about uh in Diablo,
55:40
there is an infamous character named and
55:43
in Diablo
55:44
we find an appendage of Wirt's and
55:48
>> Yes, the
55:49
>> Don't say it.
55:50
>> I'm not going to say it. I'm not saying
55:52
it.
55:52
>> Okay.
55:53
>> The thing that you have to find this
55:55
time that hit me in the gut.
55:57
>> Yeah, it We're not We're not talking
55:59
about the one that that Liz thought we
56:00
were going to say. Um
56:02
>> I'm just Yeah, I'm just making sure.
56:04
>> But again, that that reference to it was
56:06
just Yeah, it was I looked at it and I
56:08
was like, oh oh no. But like it this
56:12
>> sense.
56:12
>> It made sense for this expansion. It
56:15
made sense for this game.
56:16
>> three of those pieces that you get for
56:18
it Yeah, yes.
56:19
Um I'm not going to explain too much
56:21
into it in case you want to like go in
56:23
and there are several guides out there.
56:25
It is a lengthy series of things that
56:26
you have to do that are hidden quests,
56:28
hidden timers, and hidden achievements.
56:31
>> The first one was so ridiculous.
56:33
>> It involves killing so many cows.
56:36
>> Well, technically
56:37
>> So many cows.
56:38
>> Technically, you can get away with
56:40
killing only about a thousand of them if
56:42
if you're unlucky.
56:43
>> Only about a thousand of them.
56:45
>> Well, I I'll explain I'll explain this.
56:48
Yeah, I'll explain I'll explain this
56:49
part of it cuz I think it's it's
56:50
worthwhile, right? Go ahead, Liz, if you
56:51
want to
56:52
>> And just getting your So, you kill a
56:54
bunch of cows and then you get, you
56:56
know, your little widget that you're
56:57
going to need to get the next step.
57:00
>> have to kill 666
57:03
cows within a 7-day time period or it
57:06
resets.
57:08
>> To be exact, within 666,666
57:11
seconds.
57:12
>> Yes.
57:13
>> Of course. But it's like you have to
57:16
kill that many cows and then you get the
57:20
drop from the zone in which you kill the
57:21
final cow.
57:22
>> Yes.
57:23
>> But you've got to get that drop from
57:24
several different zones. And you're
57:27
Yes, you're only guaranteed to get that
57:30
drop on the 666th
57:33
cow kill.
57:35
>> For the first one.
57:35
>> So.
57:36
>> You can't get it before, but
57:37
>> No, no.
57:38
>> And then but yes, the
57:38
>> You can't. No, no, you can't get it
57:40
before the the they don't they will not
57:41
drop until you've hit 666.
57:43
>> It only That's That's the only time it
57:46
>> The other ones after you get the first
57:47
one, you have a small chance to get from
57:50
any of the cows you kill from there very
57:52
small.
57:52
>> Or
57:53
>> Except Except you're only get Or you
57:55
could do it with alts and do 666 for
57:57
each of them, but you could get lucky
57:59
and you do your 666 in one zone and then
58:02
you go to the next zone and you get it
58:03
on your first cow kill. You could do
58:05
that.
58:06
Because after 666, it can drop at any
58:08
time.
58:10
>> You just got to make sure you're going
58:10
to the area where you didn't get the the
58:12
the first drop. That's all.
58:14
>> Yes. It's But you may also have to kill
58:16
666 more cows to get your second one if
58:19
you're very unlucky.
58:20
>> They say that the very unlucky people
58:21
are the cuz if you do it on your main
58:23
character,
58:24
uh the the there's a whole Discord for
58:26
this, by the way, friends.
58:28
>> This is so old Diablo game.
58:30
>> Yeah, it is. It's very much
58:31
>> two arguing about exactly how many cows
58:33
you have to kill.
58:34
>> Yes.
58:36
That's That's why I like this. Um this
58:38
the the the tongue-in-cheek nods to it.
58:41
Um I think the longest length of time is
58:43
it took people an additional like 400
58:45
cows.
58:46
Which
58:48
it doesn't sound as bad when you go that
58:50
way, but it can potentially be longer
58:52
than that. Regardless, I do again, I
58:54
don't want to go fully into the the
58:56
guides are really really involved. Um
58:59
but it's just a It's such a a It's a
59:00
love letter to Diablo. And this has made
59:03
me fall in love with Diablo 4 again even
59:07
more than the current expansion has.
59:09
Where I've actually been playing a lot
59:11
of it because of stuff like this,
59:12
because it's now making me wonder what
59:14
else they've put in and what other
59:15
references they're hiding. And has
59:17
finally made me come to terms with the
59:20
fact that this is a yearly cycle or
59:24
however a game. Diablo 4 is going to be
59:28
uh the D&D 5.5 essentially of the Diablo
59:31
franchise. It's going to go forever
59:34
as long as people keep playing it and
59:36
I'm actually okay with that now because
59:38
of stuff like this. This is really cool.
59:41
>> The rollout of this has reminded me in
59:43
pace and tenor of a wild secret.
59:45
>> Yes.
59:46
>> Which is why I was I've often joked that
59:48
the Diablo 4 team is locked in a
59:49
basement and not allowed to ever talk to
59:50
the Diablo 3 team.
59:52
>> Exactly.
59:52
>> But I think maybe they're allowed to
59:53
talk to the wild secrets guys
59:56
cuz that's what this reminds me of.
59:57
>> Yeah.
59:58
>> This is this I also really enjoy that
1:00:01
that person who went on Reddit and
1:00:03
posted an image of Scosglen's map and
1:00:05
said, "Hey, doesn't the right side of
1:00:06
Scosglen look like a cow head?" was
1:00:09
right.
1:00:10
>> Yeah.
1:00:13
>> Also, I'm going to say like this isn't
1:00:15
the only thing they've done like it's
1:00:17
the most involved.
1:00:19
>> Yes.
1:00:19
>> But I mean I stumbled across one that I
1:00:22
stumbled across before it was even
1:00:24
announced. A character who's been in the
1:00:27
lore from the beginning yeah, never been
1:00:29
in a
1:00:30
in a game shows up.
1:00:32
>> Yeah, Matt and I were just talking about
1:00:33
this and it's it's
1:00:35
>> just shows up.
1:00:36
>> Yeah.
1:00:36
>> Doesn't even like there's no there's not
1:00:38
part of the main story. It's you're
1:00:40
doing a quest that seems pretty
1:00:42
this is just a you know, it's just a fun
1:00:44
little quest to do.
1:00:46
Um I think it's even after the like
1:00:48
after the end of Lord of Hatred.
1:00:51
You can't do it before it. I think it's
1:00:52
after.
1:00:53
>> It's only in the end game, yeah.
1:00:54
>> Yeah. So this is just one of those
1:00:56
things where if you run around and doing
1:00:58
stuff, boom, this happens and I'm like
1:01:01
what?
1:01:02
>> Yeah, that but that's exactly it, right?
1:01:03
Like this is this is so much more than
1:01:06
when we were playing Diablo 3 and you
1:01:08
saw the the camp from Diablo 2.
1:01:11
Um like that was a nice little touch but
1:01:14
it wasn't quite as as deep as this. Like
1:01:16
it it it proves to me beyond a shadow of
1:01:19
a doubt that the people working on this
1:01:20
game
1:01:21
care. That they they legitimately are
1:01:24
invested in you know, pouring care into
1:01:28
the game. I understand that that may be
1:01:29
a weird thing to say and that like I'm
1:01:31
not trying to say that I didn't think
1:01:32
they did beforehand, but it is tangible
1:01:34
evidence of of just their love and care
1:01:38
of this franchise and I am here for
1:01:41
that. I'm I'm actually excited to see
1:01:43
where we go from here as a
1:01:44
>> It also feels like they have a sense of
1:01:45
humor.
1:01:46
>> Yes.
1:01:46
>> Which sometimes Because you need that in
1:01:48
Diablo.
1:01:50
>> You need that.
1:01:51
>> You have to have a sense of humor to add
1:01:53
a cow level. If you didn't have a sense
1:01:54
of humor, you wouldn't have gotten here.
1:01:57
>> Well, I think but you know, you know,
1:01:58
we've talked about this before, Liz.
1:01:59
Like you and I were talking about the
1:02:00
how the storytelling in the game works
1:02:02
and it's I think this expansion the main
1:02:04
story still has that element of like
1:02:07
breakneck, almost apocalyptic doom to
1:02:11
it. Like it feels
1:02:12
>> Oh, yeah.
1:02:13
>> everything is awful, everything is bad,
1:02:14
but then you find out there's a cow
1:02:17
level. And it's like, you know,
1:02:18
everything is bad, but still there's a
1:02:19
cow level. Like I I feel like I can keep
1:02:22
going because there's a cow level.
1:02:24
>> Everything everything is still pretty
1:02:26
bad. And it's still really really so
1:02:30
bad.
1:02:31
>> But hey, there's a goblin level with a
1:02:32
cow statue.
1:02:33
>> Yeah, I I know that's not a secret, but
1:02:35
it's still hilarious to see the big cow
1:02:37
statue. It's like they're trying to
1:02:38
trick you into thinking this is the cow
1:02:40
level.
1:02:41
And then like, no, no.
1:02:43
There's there's no other cow level. This
1:02:45
is the cow level.
1:02:46
>> No, this is the goblin level. This is
1:02:47
This is just the goblin level. It's very
1:02:49
straightforward.
1:02:50
>> But yeah, I just I just wanted to
1:02:51
mention it because it is a fun thing. I
1:02:52
I got there today and I was like, oh,
1:02:54
wow. This is like the thing in D3, but
1:02:57
it's also like just it's like they're
1:02:59
trying to trick you into thinking it's a
1:03:00
cow level.
1:03:02
>> We should note that this is you get here
1:03:03
by doing war plans and you level through
1:03:08
the war plan advancement tree and
1:03:10
there's a place where goblins have a
1:03:11
chance to open a portal to
1:03:14
a
1:03:15
weird treasure place. You special
1:03:17
treasure place.
1:03:18
>> It's actually funny to to get it set up.
1:03:20
You have to take very specific nightmare
1:03:24
dungeon talents on the talent tree
1:03:26
thing. Which by the way is way better
1:03:27
than I thought it was going to be. I'm
1:03:29
actually enjoying
1:03:30
>> is.
1:03:30
>> Uh but at this point guys, we have been
1:03:32
doing this for a while and really
1:03:34
probably have to stop. Uh so
1:03:37
>> I guess.
1:03:38
>> Yeah. Otherwise, we're just going to be
1:03:40
sitting here talking about Diablo and
1:03:41
that means I'm not playing it.
1:03:42
>> No, cuz I've got a real problem.
1:03:44
>> Cuz I've got I've got to do stuff in
1:03:45
Diablo and then I've got another game
1:03:46
that's going to suck up a lot of my
1:03:47
time. So, you know.
1:03:49
>> Yeah. So,
1:03:50
All right, everyone.
1:03:51
>> to go find the cow level.
1:03:52
>> Yes, you do.
1:03:53
>> And that's going to take a while.
1:03:54
>> Oh, yeah.
1:03:55
>> going to take a while.
1:03:56
>> I I thought I read that thing I think
1:03:59
just before I saw that Joe had posted it
1:04:02
and I was like, oh god, now I have to do
1:04:04
this.
1:04:05
>> And it's a it's it's a it's a task. It's
1:04:08
a task that's
1:04:09
>> quite quite long.
1:04:11
>> But you got you got time.
1:04:12
>> All right. Well, thank you guys. Thank
1:04:14
you to to Phil for being here with us
1:04:16
and and allowing us to ramble on about
1:04:18
things and and helping by pointing out
1:04:20
that that two thing that Joe wanted to
1:04:22
talk about. You guys got to fight later.
1:04:26
>> We got to coordinate these things better
1:04:27
next time.
1:04:28
Thank you.
1:04:28
>> Oh, you did that on purpose. There's no
1:04:30
way I did.
1:04:33
>> But anyway, also thank you thank you to
1:04:35
Joe for many many things but especially
1:04:37
for finding that cow level for us.
1:04:39
Thank you to Liz for being willing and
1:04:41
able to explain exactly what was going
1:04:44
on with that microtransaction in in uh
1:04:48
Hearthstone because I I I've I'm I
1:04:50
literally cannot look at them. And thank
1:04:52
you to me for being able to be here when
1:04:54
I've got Diablo 4 and I just started a
1:04:56
Stardew Valley play through. And I have
1:04:58
an idea for a Diablo 4 zone that's
1:05:00
basically just Stardew Valley.
1:05:02
Uh cuz that would Why not? Why not just
1:05:05
just put put it right in there. Just
1:05:07
hook it into my veins. Why should I ever
1:05:09
get up again? Uh this has been the
1:05:11
Blizzard Watch podcast. Thank you so
1:05:13
much to everybody for being here and
1:05:15
we'll be back next
