Puzzling Cartel Chips and the mystery of them leads off the Blizzard Watch Podcast this week. We're not exactly sure what the deal with them is -- hence the whole "mystery" thing -- but we're looking forward to figuring it out. Noblegarden is coming up so it's time to collect some new ducks in a six year long process, and no we're not kidding. We hope you like Joe rants because there's a doozy in this week's episode (he is stanchly anti-mythic plus boss stealth buffs). Plus, the upcoming Mists of Pandaria Classic beta has us answering conclusively that yes, we are in fact the baddies.

hey everybody welcome to the Blizzard Watch podcast uh we got a a good crew of people here this week minus myself i'm
0:17
here but you don't have to care about that uh but we've got both Liz and Joe and Phil Olrich is here as our special
0:23
guests so now we're just going to move straight into saying hi to them hi Joe hi Liz hi Phil hello hello hello so now
0:32
that we've got that out of the way I want someone to explain the deal with puzzling cartel chips because they're
0:38
still not in the game i thought that was a thing they announced previously what's going on with the puzzling cartel chips
0:44
that's what we'd like to know well somebody answer it please okay uh I guess that'll be me uh so they so they
0:51
were originally a part of the uh the renown track for the raid for people who
0:57
don't remember what they are it's basically a little little item that was way high in the raid renown track that basically said you get to just go pick a
1:03
piece of loot now you got two of them um there was a lot of feedback in the PTR that this is going to take too long
1:08
which it would it would have been week 17 and 19 of raiding respectively u and so Blizzard was like "Okay we're going
1:14
to take them off renown track we're going to find another place to put them and you'll know more soon." That was the
1:20
beginning of February um literally nothing else was said until the end of February when Ian Hazakus and Maria
1:26
Hamilton did an interview with Nagura and Ian basically said "Yeah we'll they're coming in 115 we're trying to
1:32
find a way to get them out that'll be you know quicker and fairer to everybody." Uh cuz I think they also
1:38
kind of want to make these more accessible for alts as a catch-up mechanism or for people who don't raid etc etc um and then that was the last we
1:46
heard about them literally until today um 1115 for the record goes live next
1:52
week and we had heard nothing until today about this pretty premium feature
1:57
um and what we've heard is we'll tell you more once it's launched
2:02
so that's the deal we don't know we know exactly as much as we did at the
2:07
beginning of February when we knew nothing is this causing a nostalgia for anyone else like I'm I'm really feeling
2:14
the gates of garage right about now it's it's it's certainly kind of a weird
2:20
misstep for a Blizzard that I would say has become better at both the cadence of
2:26
things and also communications of things two months of radio silence on a pretty important feature of the patch um
2:33
probably going into three because I mean it's going to be the 20 it's going to be the 22nd before we maybe find out anything um and then just like with the
2:41
weird time gating up coming with the patch I'm not sure what happened with 115 they they kind of stumbled here a
2:46
little so I'm I'm still kind of trying to figure out like you know what they're even going to let us use them for at
2:51
this point like is it just going to be more upgrading gear what's going on they if they if they follow the pattern that
2:57
they have in the past they will give you a piece any piece of loot from the
3:03
liberation of undermine of your choice um they will be kind of their own separate upgrade upgrade track that goes
3:09
all the way up to the top of mythic um so they can be a way for people who only
3:15
raid heroic for example to get gear that is all the way up to mythic without doing um not needing to do uh mythic
3:21
plus um but so I mean they're still good when they come out it's great for picking up especially very rare items um
3:28
for example the um the one-armed bandit the giant sentient slot machine drops a very coveted and very rare trinket
3:35
called the House of Cards uh we have seen one in the entire time we've been raiding the liberation my al my alt got
3:40
one out of the loot box today perfect that's where you want it i think every DPS class wants one of these i don't
3:47
know about healers joe is this a good one for healing healer healers not so much or at least not restoan uh we
3:54
generally want Mr pick me up and uh the eye of Kazan yeah it's it's pretty much
4:00
for DPS though eye of Kazan's another one that practically is best in slot for every class so we've got these two
4:08
trinkets that most of your players most players are going to want and those can
4:13
be really hard to get they're really hard to get yeah they're very rare and when they do drop there's a ton of
4:19
competition cuz everyone else in your raid also wants it yep yep all right i feel like we've discussed this enough so
4:26
we can talk about something far far more important um Noble Gardens's up uh in a
4:31
week as we're recording this i believe it starts on the 21st and goes to the 28th um so it's right around the same
4:36
time that we might be finding out about uh the puzzles you know puzzling cartel chips because that's that's dropping on
4:42
the 22nd which Yeah so right around the same time and uh apparently you can get
4:48
another color for your duck disguise i believe there are six colors for your duck disguise i'm just going to sit here
4:56
and think about the duck disguise for a while you guys continue so I did they add this the duck disguise
5:03
last year i want to say it was last year but it might have been the year before it was dragon flight dragon flights 1015
5:09
patch whenever that was okay so it's been it's been a little while but it's uh so doing the noble garden quest you
5:16
get a duck disguiser in one of six which is it literally it lets you disguise
5:22
yourself as a duck of that color so great you can be a duck this is amazing
5:28
but you have to choose one color of duck if you do it again on an alt the colors are only available they're character
5:35
locked so you can't just get six alts and everyone do the quest and get a
5:41
different color of duck you've got to do all of the ducks on one character if you want all of the colors which as a group
5:50
of people that is maybe slightly obsessed with transmog I don't think I'm only speaking for myself it does feel
5:56
very important to have every color of duck and currently uh that's that's a six-year project on a single character
6:04
so definitely pick up a new color of duck this year whether it's like super important to you or only like mildly
6:10
important because if you don't get it this year you got to wait another year
6:15
so you never know you never know when they're going to decide to put the duck uh transformer into a puzzle and then you're going to need a specific color of
6:21
duck to unlock another or something yeah and plus the color that I didn't get
6:26
that I I wish I had gotten so I'll trying to get maybe this year i'll actually be logging on just to do Noble Garden um is the one that has like a
6:33
crevat or or neck thing of green it looks like it's wearing like a like a
6:39
like one of those bandanas around the neck like it's some kind of like revolutionary duck uh and I don't think
6:46
it is i think it's a duck but it's got this this this really colorful crest of
6:51
green around its neck it's a brown and white duck otherwise with a really nice brown beak and a they all have a very
6:57
nice look to their faces in real life real ducks are incredibly vicious and sadistic but but these look cute and fun
7:03
so that's good i like cute and fun ducks better than murder ducks which is actually what ducks really are um yeah
7:09
these are incredibly adorable ducks that everyone can enjoy yep and they have the best part is that they have like the Wow
7:15
needs to put weird stuff on animals to feel good about itself like we have tigers but all tigers have to have saber
7:21
teeth for no reason um or we've made a moose but it's even mousier uh the ducks
7:27
have the duck bill but then there's like this piece of bone that just grows up from the duck bill and goes over in
7:33
front of their faces and I don't know why but it works like my word they're cute like I I don't get it like I should
7:40
I should not find this animal as cute as I do but it's just absolutely adorable i I don't know but regardless yeah that's
7:47
Noble Garden this year it's still pretty much the same otherwise uh you go out and you do eggs and so forth but yeah
7:55
you can get yourself one of the mini ducks so yeah I don't think I don't think there are any changes this year so
8:00
same same thing just pick a new color you can pick a new color this year and
8:06
so now Oh go ahead if you've switched if you switched mains you can pick a color for the first time and start your
8:12
six-year journey to collecting all of the duck colors i'm posed
8:18
yeah you hear it and you're like "Is No Phil phil Phil has a nasty tendency of
8:23
uh changing alts like people change their clothes." Pretty much every raid tier for a while
8:30
except for Dragonflight so at least I know who probably has my Duck Disguisers one color but yeah there you go yeah so
8:37
the other thing we got going on is in War Within um patch 11.1.5 we're going to have like a new kind of scenario
8:43
called Nightfall which is sort of I go ahead i do have a question about this one and I'm thinking you'll be able to
8:50
answer it Phil blizzard calls this a scenario is it a scenario i thought it
8:56
was an open world event uh 601 half dozen of the other uh the technology the
9:01
technology that they used for scenarios back in Mr penderia is the exact same one they've used for every open world uh
9:07
thing since yeah this feels war friendly in terms of how it works it's It's not even like that it's basically like the
9:14
Super Bloom and the Emerald Dream or any number of other open world events where you do tasks to fill up a bar time rifts
9:21
that's what I was trying to think of while I was rambling time rifts are the most uh uh equivalent thing you do tasks
9:27
for an NPC to fill up a bar and then a boss appears and you kill it and you get a reward based on how many of you were
9:32
doing the tasks instead of just running around smacking enemies oh like the legion thing yeah yeah okay yeah but
9:38
regardless we you now know what treasures you're getting for that yeah there's there's there's some fun stuff in there um a lot of it uh is cosmetics
9:46
so transmog uh v transmog people who wanted yet another color of the array leveling set um here you go there's two
9:52
there's two there is a uh there is one that is it is primarily cream and brown with uh gold
9:59
accents and then there is another one available complete with matching weapons um from a different vendor that is like
10:05
a dark purple and black set um it seems like you're taking your commendation medals over to somebody who works for
10:12
the Order of Nightfall and trading it into them instead but um if you're ready to kill Nubians here you go um yeah my
10:20
And this is a faction too right yep it is a uh it is a subfaction of the uh of
10:27
the uh the Halif Arafi um called the Flames Radiant um you'll see some
10:32
familiar faces from Meraldar they're camped out to the west of there around the scenario do they also give you stuff
10:37
or is that just is it from somebody else uh it's it's pretty much just them this is a it's a self-contained event with
10:43
its own renowned track its own NPCs and everything is tied to levels in that levels in the new renown track will also
10:50
let you buy stuff from those vendors so it's it's all pretty self-contained over there also these rune things what are
10:57
these about like grants gain void ritual is that part of the uh it's only through the the season or what uh the the void
11:04
ritual stuff is coming later in return to horrific visions all right i was a
11:09
little confused because it's going to list it all at the same time uh all right cool i feel that pretty much covers that then and I'm really happy
11:15
that we're going to get to do stuff with the Nightfall and Nubians still i I feel like we're supposed to not be killing
11:21
Nubians anymore but if you want us to kill more Nubians I'm not going to argue with you some of them are still This is
11:27
These are specifically like the last of Queen Anzer's loyalists who are kind of basically staging um almost like a
11:33
suicide attack on Hallow um you can tell they're not really planning it through because they're not doing like every
11:39
other Narubian and waiting for Belladar to go dark first they're literally just attacking every hour yeah it's it's
11:44
definitely got a little bit of it feels weird but it does have a little bit of story to it which is like these are the
11:50
last of Queen Ansk's forces and they're just kind of kind of leaderless at this
11:56
point don't have a strong guiding force and it's just like okay let's let's go after let's go after these guys what
12:03
what better things do we have to do may as well void senpai notice me as they
12:09
run into their death void senpai has not noticed you nerd no no void senpai definitely has not
12:15
noticed people all right uh right here we've got a stage direction in these notes that makes me happy because now
12:21
Joe will have to complain more uh Joe you apparently you want to complain about stealth buffs to Mythic Plus
12:27
bosses yeah one in particular uh we were talking about this in our guild discord and I didn't know it was a thing until I
12:32
read it and it made me irrationally angry or maybe rationally angry i don't know you get to be the judge of it uh so
12:38
with the the the patch and and balancing um apparently they're making in
12:45
particular Darkflame Cleft's uh Candle King boss uh much much harder for
12:51
healers if you've ever done this as a healer that fight uh uses words that I
12:56
cannot say uh currently during our recording without pushing this into an adult rating uh as you get to higher
13:02
keys it is an absolute nightmare to heal because there are so many things that could possibly go wrong with it uh and
13:09
yes I know that you can be said that about a lot of bosses but it is a very healing intensive boss uh and especially compared to the rest of the dungeon uh
13:17
it's a a pretty large spike uh and the problem is it requires a lot of movement and most of the healing classes don't
13:24
deal with movement very well and so what they're doing here or what they did uh
13:30
is there is a a there's a healing debuff that or or a healing absorb that
13:36
previously went on a single player probably didn't really notice that if you were healing you would just heal them up and move on with your life now
13:42
it's going to apply to everybody why like like that that is my question like
13:47
why make that change now especially when you're pushing into higher keys do you do you like I'm really curious if they
13:54
felt that that uh boss was not performing the way they wanted it to uh
13:59
somehow but yeah like stuff like this is is weird and it's not noted anywhere
14:05
it's just a thing that happened and it's not it's apparently it's apparently because it's a bug fix it was supposed
14:10
to go on everyone to begin with and sometimes it just wouldn't apply to anyone which makes even less noticeable
14:15
yeah which again Okay and that's great but it's like still if but why but why
14:20
like you have all this data now of all these people that have been doing it for however long and now it explains if it
14:26
was a bug that they fixed it and now explains why sometimes that poll was just god awful uh for no apparent reason
14:33
well apparently there was a reason i don't know like stuff like this irritates me like go back look at the people that are that have done the
14:39
content and maybe don't fix the bug maybe go back to the the way that it was that was already hard enough as it was i
14:46
don't know little little bit of a complaint but something to note if you're doing the dark flame cleft uh as
14:52
a healer that uh uh expect that boss to hurt and kind of stink a little bit more that's it that's all I
14:59
got well now that we know that Joe is upset about this um and I you know I'm
15:04
not going to be healing any of this content so for me it's like you know if I even come back just it'll mostly be noble garden but if I do any mythic plus
15:11
stuff I'll be DPS because I'm not crazy enough to heal those things uh but I do want to mention the next thing on our
15:17
list because it's actually really cool uh Missandaria Classic is now in beta testing or will be soon tm
15:25
the signups are now though it's not Yeah signups are now beta testing is some
15:30
indeterminate time in the future i I find myself really I I'm really nostalgic for Missandaria and in in
15:37
general um both because they did remists and everybody leveled through it like you know volcanically fast so I'm
15:44
curious as to how they can release it in a classic state and have people not be immediately pining for Remists but also
15:52
because just in general I just liked i thought it was a good expansion
15:57
fantastic expansion yeah i just I had a good time playing it uh I was I remember
16:02
at the time I was in a guild i was in a horde guild for Mandaria for for the big
16:07
for the opening bit of it and I just remember riding around on my motorcycle with the night elf actually it was the
16:13
the the blood elf was the one who had the motorcycle i'll just tell everyone it was Ann hey hi everybody ann had a
16:19
motorcycle she would make me get into the like little passenger seat thing the sidec car on my Torren Warrior so I'd
16:27
look utterly ridiculous and yes utterly it was a joke for you guys um and I just had a lot of fun it It was a lot I liked
16:34
the raids um I think the only one I didn't like is Siege of Vorgar because it seemed to last three and a half years
16:42
um not literally did yeah no I don't think it actually did but it felt like it did but regardless other than that
16:49
and I thought it was good i just felt like it was forever so I'm going to sit here and say first off I'm interested in
16:56
this secondly I don't know how it's going to go i don't know how it's going to feel as as a classic experience what
17:02
do you all think about this are you going to sign up for the beta what are you going to do here i would love to i just don't know that I have time i loved
17:09
Miss though like miss was one of my favorite expansions that that WoW has released so I would love to maybe do it
17:17
but also who again time time management liz I think the interesting thing about
17:23
doing Miss Classic you know Cataclysm Classic felt weird because it's like okay we're just overwriting the old
17:29
world with the new world and isn't that why we got classic in the first place so we could explore and play in the old
17:35
world well now it's a Cataclysm world well one of the things about Mr pandaria
17:40
is there was a lot of phasing in the game that you couldn't go back so it's
17:47
like the veil it's once the veil was destroyed it was destroyed even in reists it was we did not go back to the
17:54
original veil I mean it did get worse later with N'oth but it you couldn't go
18:00
back that was one of those things where change came to Pandaria and it came forever and so this is an opportunity to
18:08
go back and go through that story experience for the first time if you haven't done it before so I I do think
18:16
there's value in that and maybe more value than there was in Cataclysm in the first place because there is some
18:22
content there that you can no longer experience the legendary uh cloak quest
18:27
I believe is completely gone i believe all of that's gone yeah and they even got rid of the need for it didn't they
18:33
yeah and uh all all of the veil stuff you can do the quests but it's the veil
18:40
is the veil the veil is the veil as it is today so I I think it's a good one to bring back and this really is one of the
18:47
best expansions Wow has ever done the storytelling was great pandaria is a
18:53
gorgeous a gorgeous place the story was great i think the expansion is really
18:59
soured by Siege of Ormar at the end which just stretched on forever so the
19:04
whole thing may feel a lot better if Blizzard just spaces out the content evenly that might feel like a whole new
19:12
game and I'm I'm looking forward to it i'm I'm in the same boat as Joe it's going to be hard to find time to play
19:19
all of these things that's the real challenge here where are the hours in which I am going to do this but I I'm
19:26
excited okay Phil you got anything uh nothing really more than that i don't think I'm going to sign up to beta test
19:32
it but man I'll probably go back and play it just cuz I'm I'm always nostalgic for Mist it was I love that
19:37
expansion so much i I really felt like a lot of people didn't give it like the credit it deserved at the time it was a
19:44
lot of the oh Kung Fu Panda jokes and I mean for first off you know it's not
19:49
like Kung Fu Panda came out after the first time the Pandara were mentioned in Warcraft yeah and that's the same
19:56
argument people oh they're just capitulating the Chinese market pandarans pre-existed the Chinese market
20:01
for WoW because it pre-existed Wow come on guys yeah well plus I mean it's also in a way it's tricky doing something
20:08
with panda on the Chinese market chinese take that seriously it's like you know how you can't like the forsaken in China
20:16
you can't have skulls in China skeletons are don't exist in Chinese media as far as that goes they're just they're just
20:23
like kind of gray zombies they don't they don't have anything like leaking or pointing out of them or anything and you
20:28
you have to be real careful with depictions of pandas in China because they they they're serious about it um so
20:37
it's not necessarily a good thing to do for your bottom line it worked out because you know they they took the time
20:43
to not have the pandas do anything particularly bad um but yeah it's a thing so I don't know i didn't feel like
20:50
it was ah I just always felt that that was like that was like a very dismissive and pointless response because you know
20:57
Missandaria and P the Pandora in general was actually really complex and a lot of
21:04
cool stuff happens a lot of like the whole deal with like the the the Jade Serpent and the Horde and Alliance
21:10
fighting and how that all fell out is like pretty sophisticated for World of
21:15
Warcraft quite frankly wow usually isn't very good at nuance it was one of the It was one of the first times that WoW kind
21:21
of looked at itself and said "Is war bad are we the baddies?" Yeah yeah very much
21:28
so zoo's in the corner with Zar's crossed going "Yes go home." And and
21:33
then you get to that that Jade statue and it's like you get to that point in the story and you're like "Oh oh yeah we
21:40
are." Wow we're the baddies we the baddies yeah and that that hits you or
21:46
you could just just never do those quests and it's all fine i just thought I thought it was fascinating that they
21:52
basically took that whole idea of not just are we the bad you know is are we the bad guys here but also just that
21:58
idea of you know we've come and we've made everything worse and now we're leaving it's like wow we our job here is
22:06
done we do that a lot but it's we do that a lot but it's not always you know
22:13
we don't always just really drive the point home we're like "Okay things are
22:18
great we're moving on now and forgetting any of this ever happened." Look we're leaving so we don't make this any worse
22:23
at this point maybe maybe that's the maybe that's the story you've got a glowing tree i'm sure that's going to
22:30
fix it right the the ghost of the emperor seems to think this glowing tree is going to do the job and I feel like
22:36
we're going to just let the glowing tree have its chance cuz I don't think it could do much worse than the veil
22:41
currently is oh like you know why did we help them excavate the heart of an old god in in retrospect why did we do that
22:50
uh you know basic campfire for warchief come on yeah definitely um so yes that's
22:56
coming i'm interested i like everyone else so far in this podcast I don't know when I'll find the time but you know hey
23:04
uh but next thing up is a little news for Diablo um and it is something that I noticed and felt a little annoyed that I
23:10
actually already owned them but uh Diablo III and Reaper of Souls are now on Xbox Game Pass um a lot of things are
23:16
on Game Pass that you might not expect uh but yeah they've Blizzard's been rolling stuff out ever since it got
23:23
purchased the stuff has been popping up on Game Pass uh I think PC Game Pass has like Starcraft the original Starcraft um
23:32
we've seen the the Xbox Game Pass has gotten Diablo II I think am I wrong i
23:38
know Diablo 4 is on there uh and now they're getting Diablo 3 maybe maybe Diablo 2 is next um it would make sense
23:45
but regardless I do know the thing the thing about playing Diablo 4 if you're playing it on Game Pass is the expansion
23:51
is not on Game Pass so if you want to play the expansion you would still have to buy the expansion yeah they do that
23:58
with other things too it's uh it's definitely to a certain degree it's it's like you know I know you like this so
24:04
here's a taste now quickly uh give us your money but I mean it's still cool that you know the entirety of Diablo II
24:11
is going to be there if you've not played Diablo II somehow I don't know how you didn't you managed it but if you
24:16
somehow have not played them you can now go and play the whole thing it's the complete it's the game and expansion on
24:23
game pass so you can just play the whole thing on game pass if you have not tried it yet um I I think that's cool again I
24:30
own it already so for me it's not that useful because I played I actually think I played Diablo II more than I would
24:36
have otherwise on because consoles existed um both Diablo 3 and Diablo 4 in my opinion feel better on console like I
24:43
Yeah they play Yeah they play amazingly on console the only problem with them on console is particularly in Diablo I
24:51
which has more social features and more grouping it's essentially an MMO and it
24:58
is really hard to communicate with people on a console because they don't have keyboard support so it's like yeah
25:05
I'm going to spend five minutes selecting the letters with my tiny console controller and then y'all have
25:12
already killed like five bosses i mean you can hook you can hook a keyboard to a PS5 but then that's just inconvenient
25:18
uh you can and I do except if you're if you're on your console the game itself
25:24
does not recognize the keyboard no that's that's on Diablo that's on Diablo and they're actually adding con keyboard
25:32
support this year for it's on their road map but so to to use a keyboard to type
25:39
stuff in Diablo you got to use your controller you open the chat window and then you open the the dial like the chat
25:46
entry thing yeah you have to literally select like you know move the thing back and forth so it's it's like two it's
25:51
like two clicks to open it up and then you have the keyboard on screen and that's PlayStation interface not Diablo
25:57
interface the PlayStation interface recognizes a keyboard you have plugged in so you can type but you can't hit
26:03
enter and send it through that interface because Diablo doesn't recognize that interface so you've got to move back to
26:08
your controller and it's a couple of clicks to hit send on the controller so you're doing this shuffle like okay
26:14
controller open chat open in open chat entry keyboard type type uh controller
26:20
send message and it's like it is so awkward so if I'm ever in Diablo I need
26:27
to talk to people I'm I have my laptop and I'm typing in Discord because it's
26:32
less complicated to have my laptop sitting next to me than to type using an
26:37
external keyboard it's weird to hear because the Xbox actually did something weird i don't know if they still sell
26:44
this peripheral but they they they did make it for the previous Xbox the adaptive it's a It's a little keyboard
26:51
that you just plug into the bottom of your controller oh yeah that you have a keyboard down there oh interesting i
26:58
have I got that for Titanfall listen when Titanfall 2 came out my wife got me
27:04
Titanfall 2 and she got me that for Christmas one year and now that we're on the new Xbox it still plugs into the new
27:10
controller i just took it off my old controller plugged it into new controller it's got support so I can do
27:16
that i can actually type using that the Xbox system recognizes it because the Xbox system is literally just Windows
27:23
it's it's just it's just Windows it's just not and I would like it noted that that uh Sega did this before anybody
27:31
else back in the day yes we know the Dreamcast is like the future dude we know
27:37
i wish that the Dreamcast had continued quite frankly andintended pipe on the PS5 though it
27:43
makes me really glad the PS5 natively supports Discord voice chat very much so but I was also going to say Nintendo did
27:49
something that I wish modern people modern console makers would like bring back uh the GameCube is the GameCube yes
27:56
the ASI keyboard controller for the Nintendo Gamecube it literally had a quarterty keyboard in the center of a
28:03
GameCube controller at full scale uh it was the awful i It No it was great what
28:10
are you talking about well it was great it was great for PSO we're going to fight fight fight go i imported one
28:15
specifically for Fantasy Star Online cuz you can only get it in Japan it was
28:20
great for it you have like a little Blackberry keyboard in the middle of your controller no no no full size
28:27
keyboard in your lap full size actual keyboard it's like a keyboard with controllers on the ends of it please
28:34
look in just took a look at look at look in podcast chat they they took a keyboard and basically
28:40
cut a GameCube controller in half and scooted it to the sides and that's what you got
28:46
okay well that's uh that's definitely one way to play i I support you in your
28:51
endeavors and they still work they do i mean you know don't often have use
28:57
to plug one of those into anything but yeah well no so like you can use an ad okay I'm sorry this is one of those
29:04
things uh they make an adapter for it that allows it to plug into modern-day
29:10
computers if you don't have the ASI ports but if you have the ASI ports it
29:16
will actually take it as a regular input for both a controller and a keyboard and so you can play certain games like
29:22
Fantasy Star Online or Fantasy Star Online 2 with this device still to this
29:28
day it is fantastic absolutely fantastic you know what I want to know is because we know that that they that you can
29:34
connect a GameCube controller to a Switch uh when Diablo I inevitably comes to the Switch 2 can we then plug this
29:40
old GameCube controller in and solve our problems for communication once and for all
29:46
[Laughter] we're strange people this has been the
29:51
podcast of Joe talks about strange things on pre-show and finds a way to do it on main show too i apologize for
29:58
nothing regardless though if you haven't played Diablo 3 for whatever reason you've you're curious about it you can
30:04
now get it complete on Xbox Game Pass and you can play it and I consider that a good thing because I still think
30:10
Diablo II is one of the best Diablo games um to this day it's in some ways I like it better i like it better than
30:17
either D2 or D4 um in other ways Go ahead Liz the gameplay is really great
30:22
it's a really slick game it is fun and fast-paced and it is like the epitome of
30:28
I just want to smash some demons in the face that is the game this is the game for you if that's all you want to do
30:35
going to going to smash some demons bring up pop up some big numbers on the screen and then I'm just going to keep
30:41
doing it until my hands hurt from all that clicking and the seasons work Yeah and the seasons work a lot better in D3
30:47
in my opinion um uh they don't have a they don't have a battle pass to grind through for one so that that
30:56
Yeah i can't wait in like 20 years when the instead of G passes we've got like you know you put like some eye drops in
31:02
and you're you have ads beam directly into your brain and people are like going on about how quaint it is that this thing still has like B look at how
31:09
quaint it is it's got this battle pass mechanic that's crazy um okay Joe you wanted to talk about this but but you
31:15
said you don't know much about it however Overwatch 2 director um shares more about stadium game mode um which is
31:23
a PVE thing for Overwatch yeah this what do you know about it well this is the game mode that we talked about where and
31:28
again I haven't had a chance to look into this because the news sort of dropped on it a little bit before podcast and life time who has who has
31:36
time uh but Overwatch 2 keeps talking about uh adding this customizable game
31:41
mode uh called stadium it's uh a third person camera viewpoint special powers
31:47
and items that can be used to upgrade your heroes between rounds uh best of seven grudge match uh is a going to be a
31:54
permanent thing in Overwatch 2 right this is going to be a new game mode it's going to be a new everything this is where you're going to get to have like
32:00
uh customizability of your your heroes and over-the-top powers that completely change how they play the game uh it's
32:07
not quite normal mode but it's kind of got some roots in there as well it's
32:13
Yeah so I don't know much more about it it's It's going to be interesting to see
32:19
what they're actually doing with it uh there's what it plays like how it actually uh works and there's a limited
32:27
number of heroes that are currently available for stadium mode uh so I think you have uh what is it div.a Junker
32:34
Queen Arisa Reinhardt and why can I never remember the Russian with the
32:40
bubbles oh my god Zarya zorya yep uh and then you have Ash uh Cassidy um wow
32:49
names are hard uh our our resident ninja May Reaper and
32:55
Soldier 76 for your You mean Genji genji thank you uh and then your random
33:01
smattering of healers with Mercy and and uh Lucio taking up uh residence as long
33:07
as some of the newer faces like Anna uh and they're going to their plan is to add more but their plan is to add more
33:13
maps uh with different types cuz there's what push control and clash maps that you can have on there uh and talking
33:20
about the different things that you can do to transform uh you know what your characters do or what your heroes do so
33:27
we'll see i haven't had a chance to play it yet but I do like the fact that I'm watching them try stuff because they
33:33
understand their market share is shrinking and that means they get to be adventurous with their game modes and
33:39
what they do and I'm all for that because experimentation breeds creativity makes cool stuff happen and
33:46
Blizzard has made cool stuff happen over the years by experimentation maybe we're going to get something more here with
33:52
that i do think it's interesting to point out uh we covered this before but I do think we should mention a lot of
33:57
this stuff is stuff that was developed during the time that they were going to have a PvE mode for the game yeah and
34:03
what they're doing is taking that stuff and changing it around to work in PvP
34:09
because stadium mode's still a PvP mode it's just one where you can watch it um which I think is weird but sure um well
34:15
it's you just have a third person perspective of your character instead of a first person perspective so yeah it's
34:22
a different way of looking at things i think it's pretty cool because one of the things in Overwatch one of the big
34:27
rewards is skins but you're in first person all the time you can't look at
34:33
how cool you look all the time yeah it's one of the things that used to bug me about Cyberpunk is from that alone at
34:40
third person perspective kind of nice but it also very much changes up the way you play because you're used to having
34:47
this direct line of sight so it's like you're aiming you can see directly where
34:52
you're going and third person is going to shake it up i think it's going to feel like a very different game yeah and
34:58
and I mean again experimentation is good and I'm sure people will have a ton of fun with it yeah uh this is launching in
35:06
season 16 which is coming pretty pretty soon I think i do not believe we have a
35:13
we may have a date for it but I'm not sure when it is yes I it's I'm sure it's somewhere in there but I cannot find it
35:18
at first at first glance uh and again I hang on april April 22nd so that is
35:26
actually extremely extremely soon oh there you go two 12 days 27th right or
35:31
22nd second second one week one week from recording there you go after you uh
35:36
log on after you log on and do the nightfall scenario once and go oh that's all that was in the patch then you can go play Overwatch so yeah we now have
35:43
other things to talk about unfortunately or fortunately i know um I'm gonna mention one that's not in here but I'm
35:50
gonna do it at the end so first off Guild Wars is 20 years old this month
35:55
wow wow okay
36:00
just makes it makes me feel simultaneously old and also somewhat
36:05
like you know optimistic about the future because it feels like games just live forever or die like immediately
36:13
nowadays and Game Wars Guild Wars is really deserving of being a 20-year-old game i I I don't think people understand
36:20
Guild Wars came about at a time where it looked like World of Warcraft was just going to eat the entire universe of of
36:27
mass of MMOs that were fantasy based and those little scrappy you know people
36:33
who'd been in other game companies who are now working for Arenaet came out with Guild Wars and now we've got the
36:39
second Guild Wars is out and there's all sorts of stuff going on and it's still here and that's really great even as
36:45
somebody who's never been able to played Guild Wars for more than a month before I had to stop uh usually because of life
36:52
stuff not because the game was bad um I actually think Guild Wars in some ways is really great uh another unusual thing
36:59
about Guild Wars is it was a very early MMO that had no subscription fee so you
37:04
bought the box and then you just played the MMO which time I mean it's more common now for having games that are
37:10
free to play but at the time it was very unusual to have an MMO without a subscription fee yeah it was I think um
37:17
and and now World of Warcraft is World of Warcraft is very unusual for having for being an MMO with a subscription fee
37:24
so we we totally flipped it's got the sub fee that it had when it came out
37:30
like has it has it ever gone up yes when did it go up cuz I don't remember while I think I think it was like an
37:36
adjustment for like your region or something like that i don't think it actually increased yeah it occasionally changes in other countries based on
37:42
currency yeah but it's been largely the same here for a long time yeah I think it started at like it was always 15 or
37:49
something like that and then like 15 US uh and then if you did like pay in advance or like bundles or whatever it
37:56
was uh you got deals off on it now we have our sixmon subscription our year subscription um we have we back then you
38:03
used to be able to buy like 3month game cards 60-day game cards not like stuff like that where you'd get discounts from
38:10
uh vendors and stuff like that like I remember GameStop used to run like deals on that all the time uh but otherwise
38:15
largely the subscription was was largely the same is one of the it's one of those things that I maintain that had Wildstar
38:22
been a free game instead of a subscription based game it likely would have done better at the start as opposed
38:27
to starting as a subscription game and then trying to lean into uh freeto play
38:32
but that's a whole other story but Guild Wars Guild Wars does it great and Guild Wars has been doing it since day one so
38:39
Guild Wars being as it was being 20 years old and then giving right to rise to Guild Wars 2 which has one of the the
38:45
coolest classes in an MMO as far as I'm concerned with the necromancer um which is just a ton of fun to play same thing
38:52
you don't have to have a subscription you you can pay for extra premiums and stuff like that you just buy the
38:57
expansions you buy the content or you buy the questing experience essentially which is really really cool and I
39:04
remember when uh my first experience with that I'm sorry I'm on a tangent uh but my first experience with like buying
39:09
like content based uh like purchases instead of paying a subscription fee was
39:15
Lord of the Rings lord of the Rings Online when you first like when you started doing that when they went to a
39:21
free-to-play model instead of a subscriptionbased model and doing that I thought it was the greatest thing ever it's like oh I want to do the Minds of
39:26
Moria well here's my 10 bucks sweet into the minds I go cuz I want to be a dwarf you know like I I don't know it it is
39:34
interesting to see Guild Wars turning 20 years old uh and see its legacy
39:39
especially as one of the as far as I am concerned one of the best known
39:44
free-to-play games in Western culture and play straight up it was just a it's
39:50
a game that has like a really expansive uh lore behind it and some interesting
39:56
stuff that they've done even you know we we talk a lot about games that do like persistent worlds versus you know the
40:03
dynamic worlds guild Wars managed to be both um a lot of stuff happened and a
40:08
lot of things changed over the course of Guild Wars and Guild Wars I and a lot of it happened in game like there's it's
40:16
not all stuff that happened before you ever started playing a lot of it happened during the uh expansions and so
40:21
forth and it carries over into Guild Wars 2 and Guild Wars 2 the expansions
40:27
like the stories carry on and like it literally changes like sometimes the geography of the world it's really neat
40:34
to see yeah and it's it is also Go ahead Liz one of the interesting things about
40:39
Guild Wars as a franchise is that Guild Wars 1 and Guild of Wars 2 they take place at a a distant time from each
40:47
other so like think about if we had done something like this in Warcraft and you had a World of Warcraft that was like
40:53
10,000 years ago when all of these big huge things were happening and then you had our current World of Warcraft that's
41:00
the modern era of Warcraft guild Wars has done something kind of like that i
41:06
don't think it's as big as 10,000 years but you know Guild Wars which is 250
41:11
years right uhhuh so you kind of have these different eras in the different games so they carry they have the same
41:18
DNA they're set in the same world but they aren't they aren't the same it's not just a sequel that it's like okay
41:24
we're carrying on in the same world it's no things things change in 250 years yeah and it's something that I I think I
41:31
think a lot of people have mentioned over the years wanting to see for other games i do want to jump to the Capcom fighting collection because I want to
41:37
talk about Plasma Sword uh you guys remember Plasma Sword am I the only person who played Plasma Sword because
41:44
I'm feeling like I'm the only one who's excited about Plasma Sword uh we should talk about what this is before I just say Plasma Sword again um Capcom tends
41:51
to have put out a lot of fighting games and they just released I don't know they it's a bundle well only place I've seen
41:57
it as a bundle but I think they might just have it out by itself uh pre-order for the Fighting Collection 2 which has
42:04
a lot of you know some of the best fighters that they put out for instance the Capcom versus SNK and Capcom versus
42:11
SNK 2 games big favorites for a lot of people um there's the Capcom Fighting EV
42:17
evolution game i never played that one but I heard a lot of people are like nuts about it uh Street Fighter Alpha 3
42:24
um I I didn't know that there was an alpha 3 for Street Fighter i just I kind
42:30
of went from Street Fighter 2 to Street Fighter 4 in my head i think I just jumped but go ahead Joe yeah I was going
42:36
to say the Capcom has been releasing a lot of collections over the last several years uh they started with like doing
42:41
like Mega Man collections way back when uh they've been doing uh Mega Man collections again uh going through their
42:48
series and stuff like that um they also did a beat them up collection not too long ago which was absolutely fantastic
42:54
um and they did the fighting collection one they've also done Street Fighter collections that you can get on several
43:00
consoles the thing that's important about these at least from my perspective is getting your hands on them lets you
43:06
have access to games that are very very difficult to get physical copies of anymore uh and so like in the case of
43:14
like this one with Capcom Fighting Collection 2 I I pointed these two out because these are ones that I have not
43:19
been able to find for the Dreamcast um and I'm one of those people like I slowly collect things and Dreamcast was
43:25
my favorite game system probably of all time as far as consoles go um but Power
43:30
Stone and Project Justice which it may not seem like much but like Power Stone was a really fantastic like 3D virtual
43:38
fighter style game back in the day uh with four There is still nothing quite like Power Stone it's It's iconic it is
43:46
it is a very iconic game and especially like in most 3D fighters you only can
43:51
have you know one v one or a team versus a team and this one it was four players it was like a brawl arena done like with
43:59
virtual fighter style stuff with like over-the-top action and combat finding a disc for it that is playable in like my
44:08
region is several hundreds of dollars if you can find one uh so being able to
44:13
grab a collection that has it and being able to play the game cuz I want to actually just play the game is super cool and the same thing with Project
44:20
Justice project Justice is a game that a lot of people don't even remember existed uh but there was a game that
44:26
Capcom put out called Rival Schools and it was a team a team-based fighting game very much like Marvel vs capcom uh and
44:34
that you saw later on and this is just another game that was like in that vein with over-the-top combos and and and
44:41
stuff like that that is just really really hard to find uh it also had
44:46
something called the party up which was not just two people but three people attacking at the same time with weird
44:53
combinations and powers but I like when when Capcom is reaching into like their backlog and pulling out these games and
44:59
saying yes we'll digitize them yes they'll make them available to you uh because the other problem is if you're
45:05
into like ROMs or emulation finding good copies of those games or making legal
45:11
copies of your own again I don't I'm not in your house i don't not going to tell you what to do or not to do uh can be
45:17
problematic and timeconuming uh to make sure you have the right version and sometimes emulation is just bad uh
45:25
certain games just run like terri like absolutely terrible in emulation power Stone's one of them that I've had it on
45:32
emulators in the past it is very very difficult to run on an emulator especially even like a remotely decent
45:40
emulator will maybe give you some like good play for it but having something from Capcom that's made from modern
45:46
systems that's just here's an executable it's essentially them doing their own version of emulation that makes it
45:52
playable that makes it better and people have had hands-on are like "Yeah this is great i love when they do that like this
45:58
makes me very very happy yeah it's funny because for me the first time I noticed Capcom doing some of this stuff is all
46:04
the way back in the far-flung past 2013 uh when Capcom put out essentially thing
46:11
they called Chronicles of Mistara which was a collection of multiple Dungeons and Dragons arcade games
46:18
and it was I think it was Tower of Doom and Shadow Over Mistara and the first
46:23
reason that this is to me cool is that Mistara is the world of the original D&D
46:29
box sets yep and I I loved Mistara i got all the Gazeter books when they came out
46:34
you barely know anything about it from these games they're just they're set there but you know it's sidescrolling
46:40
beat them ups with D and D characters it's not there's not a lot of lore involved but it's still cool to see them
46:47
um I I they were fun to play i mean they were just fun to play they're not It's not a role playing game it's just a
46:54
sidescrolling beat them up RPG elements extremely uh but it's still it's still
47:00
fun to play and it was also it's one of the first times I saw Capcom doing this and they've kept doing it and I think
47:06
it's one of the best things they've ever done yeah and technically that the D&D collection existed before that too they released it in 2005 as well yeah they
47:13
did they released a a hard a hard version of it in 2005 I believe physical copy yeah yeah but this one I want to
47:20
say that's probably about when they started doing their collections cuz I remember that that was uh the year I graduated college was also the year that
47:27
the X-Men the first uh not X-Men gez Mega Man collection came out um man I
47:32
snapped that up so PlayStation 2 I think right playstation 2 and Gamecube because I had it for the Gamecube god the
47:40
Gamecube is still one of my favorite consoles it is it is it is S tier for sure going to mention really fast
47:46
because this is something I think is cool um I the Ubisoft apparently is releasing its open school an open source
47:52
tool to allow developers uh easier tailoring of their games for colorblind
47:57
players um as somebody who has vision problems I'm always happy to see when everybody does this kind of thing uh and
48:03
quite frankly Ubisoft you owe us a lot of moves like this so that we stop
48:09
viewing you as one step removed from being the devil uh you really have a lot of room to grow here so good job for
48:17
once I guess um yeah I'm I'm really happy to see this from the flip side as a developer because this is a really
48:23
hard thing to account for um for you know people who aren't color blind themselves so it's really cool to see
48:29
something like this and also given Ubisoft's business uh problems of late
48:34
it's really nice to see something like this didn't just disappear with Ubisoft and I want to make sure like we we don't
48:39
sell this short right because one it's called chroma and it's going to go it
48:46
goes after the three major color blindness types which is uh proteinopia
48:52
uh duteronopia and tritonopia uh but it works with all games there's no
48:58
dependency on any particular engine and yeah doesn't provide filters it just
49:04
provides filters that run over top the game to help with you know those
49:09
particular ones and that covers a lot of people it's not going to be perfect and they're working with accessibility
49:15
experts to refine the tool uh but like that's a huge step forward for accessibility
49:21
especially good especially good because it as you just said it's open source and it's it's an overlay essentially so you
49:28
can you can work to incorporate this or you can just create a filter for it either way it's it's it's a good it's a
49:34
good change and the fact that it's open source means that nobody has to worry about it and and interesting enough it
49:40
was it was developed by Ubisoft's quality control team in India so if you ever say quality control folks aren't
49:45
real game developers saw it off because here it is like this is a huge thing yeah absolutely and one really big thing
49:53
about this is that you know see bigger developers adding colorblind modes to
49:59
their games but big developers I mean World of Warcraft has only had a colorblind mode what was that added in
50:06
Dragonflight maybe i believe so it was before that I thought okay because I was using it i was using it i
50:14
was using it yeah but I was using it in Battle for Azeroth because uh Carropase gave me migraines and I had to have
50:20
turned it on in order to stop whatever weird purple effect they were doing from causing me migraines
50:26
so but it's that's a big company blizzard Entertainment big company they've added it and improved it over
50:32
the years but how many games we're playing these days hm people games were
50:38
playing from from smaller developers from indie developers uh how many hours
50:44
have you all put into Bellatro in the past year which was made by a single
50:49
game developer i'm currently playing Blue Prince which was a single game developer who eventually added more help
50:56
but spent several years working on the game completely alone you could have these people have access to this tool
51:02
because it's open source and it doesn't rely on any software uh compatibility issues you can just fire this up look at
51:10
your game under these filters and be like "Oh yeah this interface element is just invisible to people with this kind
51:16
of color blindness i'll make a mode that makes that more visible." So you can This gives it it evens the playing field
51:22
and gives everyone the option to add this accessibility feature that's great
51:27
yeah and it's like as you've already mentioned it's open source but I'm going to tell you guys just how easy it is to get it's just on GitHub you can just go
51:34
to GitHub now and download it it's not even as big as most mods you get on GitHub so yeah that's that's something
51:41
that could be gamechanging for people who are smaller developer teams or you
51:46
know single developers because you now don't have to come up with like your own tool for this that's that is really
51:52
great and I you know as somebody with visual problems I want to encourage that kind of thing um speaking of patches and
51:59
and so forth that get downloaded um Boulders 8's last patch is currently out
52:05
yep and it's enormous uh patch 8 is big i
52:10
believe 48 pages worth of patch notes something like that yeah 12 gigs I think
52:16
yeah it's And Liz was talking sorry yeah go ahead Liz i mean you're saying last patch but I think there have been
52:22
several patches that were announced as the last patch so you do wonder well
52:29
that's the last one for real for real this time for real idol_final.psd
52:36
it's It's like Miyazaki continuing to say he's going to retire and then Oh he can't stay away well I mean for that
52:42
matter I to segue into this other thing um Cyberpunk had its last patch
52:47
supposedly last year and then they put out two more patches and now they're putting out something else with the with
52:54
the Switch port coming they're talking about possibly doing another content patch so yeah the companies keep doing
53:02
this larian really has no one to blame but themselves because they're the ones who are like "Yeah we're not going to do any more development for it we're done
53:09
this at at this point we feel like it's it doesn't need DLC." And then clearly there was something going on there there
53:15
there might be another factor involved in that that we're not considering which is again while Larry is the developer
53:22
for it we don't know the nuts and bolts of the deal that they had with Wizards in terms of the IP there may have been a
53:28
lot of stuff that they wanted to do that they may have been restricted from that maybe some of that stuff is being like
53:33
lifted or is no longer enforcable for whatever reason like adding those they
53:39
added 12 subasses today 12 and these are ones that people had been asking about
53:45
and you wonder why did it take so long to put it in why they do it now and part
53:50
of it is wondering if they were like limited in what they could put out before the new version of D and D came
53:55
out or if there was additional riders or something like that and now that that's out maybe they were just saying "Okay we
54:01
can do this again so we've been working on this in the background we've been waiting so let's just go ahead and do it." that could be a factor here uh as
54:09
opposed to some of the other ones cd Project Red on the other hand no idea they they they just kind of march
54:15
to the beat of their own drum i don't think that it's entirely inexplicable for uh Cyberpunk and CD Project Red
54:22
because I honestly believe that they meant it when they said it um they did not expect Phantom Liberty to get the
54:28
bump it did they did not expect Edge Runners to provide them the bump that they it did and they didn't expect
54:33
people to stick around what's happened since uh um Phantom Liberty is that
54:38
their number of concurrent users hasn't declined and it's been a year and a half
54:44
the game has continued to have people playing it pretty concurrently and I think they realized they're not going to
54:50
have another Witcher game till like 2026 at the earliest and that's a incredibly optimistic estimate and unlike Larian
54:58
which is off working on its its new IP project yeah for pretty much in a vacuum CD Project Red is being watched like a
55:04
hawk because they don't have a new Witcher game coming until like 2026 at the earliest and Cyberpunk Orion is at
55:12
this point it's vaporware no one knows what it is or when it's coming out and they have like the independent
55:18
developers working on Witcher related projects they So to a certain degree the
55:23
game they have that people are playing right now is Cyberpunk that's the game
55:28
that they have people playing that's the game where they can get people to onroad
55:34
so in a way I feel like some of the statements from their new president when he came in I think he came in earlier
55:40
this year some of the statements they've made have definitely made it feel like there's more coming did you guys see the
55:45
uh weird little thing they released the other day where they had a pictures of all the various various NPCs from
55:52
Cyberpunk and then at the bottom they had six empty things and they said "Oh yeah don't pay attention to that wink
55:57
wink nudge nudge." I mean why wouldn't you keep why wouldn't you keep developing for it in the meantime if it if you know what you're doing you have
56:03
the everything set you know what's going on with it and you have time between you
56:08
know other projects i understand the whole concept of not taking resources away from the other projects but yeah but when the other project isn't even
56:15
past the let's sit around the table and talk about it stage and you've got a team you might as well use them and also
56:23
like I said they're putting out ads like with like you know big question marky type you know wink wink nudge nudge
56:29
stuff saying "Oh yeah we sure something's going to be going on here." Yeah it feels like they're realizing
56:34
that they what they have they they don't have to to have nothing for two years well I I think part of it too also it
56:40
goes to community and I want to bring this back to Balders's Gate 3 i think also a factor about that is the
56:47
community being such a major part of keeping the game alive engaging with not just the the voice actors and other
56:54
people in the content community but like the amount of mods and love this game
56:59
has received since it opened up is astronomical there there have been very few games
57:05
that have had this prolific of a mod community I guess would be the best word to say for it
57:11
this is the most prolific mod community I've seen outside of any Bethesda game
57:16
because although let's be clear when Bethesda community gets a lot of mods it's because those people are fixing the
57:22
game almost always you know like when Starfield has a has a relatively minor
57:28
mod group in comparison to say Fallout 4 because Fallout 4 needed all those mods
57:34
just to make it work and I say that as someone who loved Fallout 4 i loved it but it was it was a very Bethesda game
57:41
um it required a lot of help uh but but yeah Balders's Gate 3 not only I feel like Larian really did they did the idea
57:49
of their community outreach correctly in that they they didn't talk down to them they didn't make them feel like they
57:56
were being patronized they just sort of got out of the way and let them do whatever they were going to do um and I
58:02
think that's a pretty good move in these kind of situations i think people are kind of tired of being talked down to uh
58:08
especially by Wizards of the Coast in general not that we have time for going to all that but yeah um at this point I
58:13
think I have to turn to Liz and and get like up on my my hunches like a little Rory Calhoun and say "Hey could you do
58:19
that thing?" Uh hello everyone i want to give a special shout out to all of our

1:01:05
time for questions i'm sorry guys it's my fault i don't know how we keep I don't know how
1:01:11
we keep doing this we just we talk too much we just We're just need Blizzard to take like a really slow news week where
1:01:17
there is no news in any game and then we can just do all questions liz makes a statement i need topics then we provide
1:01:23
topics and this was this was in fact a slow news week there's there's not a
1:01:29
whole lot i mean Diablo II on Game Pass that's not only mention it's Yeah it's
1:01:36
not headline news it's neat but it's not like top of the news list if this were a
1:01:43
next week a story like this would not have gone on the list gotcha but regardless guys we do appreciate getting
1:01:48
those questions um if you do want to send one to us we've covered how you can do that but you can basically you can go
1:01:54
to Patreon and ask us there you can ask us on Discord we have two Discord channels for people who want to ask us
1:01:59
questions there's the patron Q and podcast questions channel for our patron supporters and there's just the Q and
1:02:06
podcast questions channel for everybody cuz we do like getting questions and there have been many times in the past
1:02:11
where we've done nothing but do questions it just depends on what the week is like um regardless this has been
1:02:16
the Blizzard podcast thank you so much for Phil for being our our fourth wheel this time around um because you know
1:02:23
we're not actually a tricycle i'm sorry Phil i spoke over you i didn't mean to i was going to say I uh I I love keeping
1:02:28
the extra seat warm yeah I it it does actually help quite a bit cuz cuz Cory
1:02:34
gets mean when he's cold it's it's kind of scary to be up here in Canada knowing Corey could get me at any moment um also
1:02:41
thank you so much to Liz and Joe for basically being the reason that this show ever happens um you guys do all the
1:02:48

1:02:53
to both of you i'm happy to be here on this podcast and finally thank you to
1:02:58
