- Dame Margaret Clytemnestra Marlborough, a not-so-famed paleontologist (Matthew Rossi)
- Ser Riley Mullabyaly, a military man through-and-through (Joe Perez)
- Diviner Haruka Hadagami, an astrologer who blurs the line between science and mysticism (Joan Albright)
- Bartholomew Culpepper, an associate professor of history at Magdalene University at Cambridge (Phil Ulrich)
- Lady Blossom Hephestia Bee, a student who's eager to pick up every drop of social gossip (Anne Stickney)
This is the last in a three-part game of Sentai & Sensibility by 9th Level Games. It uses the Polygon system in which each player uses a single die based on their class (or in this case, their station), and we found it a great deal of fun!

decisions at the far end of the room where the queen was on the balcony you see a uh a large line of guards come up

and form around her immediately and uh now they haven't taken her out of the room you would think

first she was in the room when this happened and there were guards around

her but no she did not leave the okay so now it is on uh you to all act as you

desire uh was there anyone beneath the window uh there were there were a few

people beneath the window cuz that was kind of it cut through the center of the room in the dance floor so certainly as

the gr as the glass overhead cracked a number of people were there and you know

screaming running has started the uh possible evacuation is a little a little

uh less calm than it could be so I won't say that any of these robots uh fell on

someone but there there are people just basically fleeing in every direction at

this point yeah first and foremost will make sure go ahead I was going to say first and foremost the important thing

is getting all of the uh innocence out uh so that is what uh Riley will do

before literally anything else if these things are focused on the presence and not the people we'll just he'll just

start grabbing them and start tossing them you know where they need to go or or gently corralling them uh keeping

them uh as calm as possible and getting them to safety uh before you know inevitably transform me that's that's

where he's at and then I will shut up and let other people do stuff um her will focus on the people

who were beneath that window shake the glass off them and and hurry them away I

imagine they quite startled they are quite shaken I mean everyone in town

knows about the attack but I think amongst the amongst the people there was

certainly a feeling that oh this is the Queen's ball nothing is going to happen

who would dare attack it's going to be fine uh and certainly a lot of these

people have never seen anything like this it is extremely startling so you

you do start to escort people out there are cuts and scrapes from broken glass there uh but no one is seriously injured

here but a lot of panic so you start people out of the room the crowns guard

are still uh are assisting you in whatever in whatever they can helping

people outside uh ushering people out with urgency uh so yes you start getting

people out the the those that remained Lady B is going to transform behind the

pile of presents while everybody else is distracted with running and it's much the same it's that same transformation

sequence as earlier with like the water and the flower petals and spinning around and it's like henin dress but

Regency and yeah um she looks great and she's not going to say

anything because she's trying not to call attention to herself right now um but she's going to whisper you won't

steal the holidays uh all right so uh let's see basically

position to to defend one of the pile of presents basically okay so right now

there's two much larger ones and a whole host of smaller ones that just came in

from the ceiling uh yes two big ones and six little ones that the little ones have started scattering towards the

packages on either side and the the large ones are still kind of where they fell in the center of the

ballroom and there's since I was on the I'm on the outside towards the main door

is there anybody between me and them um I the room is clearing out with Sarah

Riley and diviner Hera kind of helping people out of the center of the ballroom where the where these uh these

Abominations have fallen through the glass and so I I think it's clear enough for whatever purposes you might have

okay um I'm G to start walking forward and as I do uh rather than my previous

transformation what happens this time is that my mask just sort of forms around my face like click click click click click and instead of the outfit I had on

before which was very almost military this is still an incredibly elaborate

ball gown it's just like the scti version of one like it doesn't have the big flared sleeves anymore but it still

has this long gown aspect to it it's like it comes over that and as I'm

walking I hold up the saber and then hold the saber out and and just say

winter is coming and basically trying to call upon the

winter that is my aspect to like just throw a big ice like wall directly in

front of them keeping them pinned away from the gifts for a t like a round or two okay so that would pin them from um

it's basically just put a wall directly around so they they'd have to get over that wall to go to the two rooms that

split off with the presents in them it's not intended to permanently Corral them it's just like a a delaying tactic okay

uh the are you attempting to Coral the big ones or the little ones the little ones the big ones I figure can get

through anything I can put up uh okay I'm basically trying to

simultaneously give people time to get away and give people time to get into position uh give me a Vigor rooll kind

of treating this as sort of a strength-based attack and I will give you advantage on that role because you

are calling on your element it is the winter season and you are calling on the

power of the cold and frost to help you stop your enemies and Advantage is you

the ballroom transforming and calling up this Frost to it kind of comes up around

their legs of these little spiders grabbing them in place and so they'll

they're walking forward and then they start to pull their legs and it's like pulling it up and it's not quite moving

so they are they are stuck at least briefly as you as you walk in walk

across the ballroom you see already that you know one of them has managed to pull

its leg one of its legs out but but it's still stuck so they're Breaking Free but for they are as you say delayed yeah

that's all he was going for uh so yes who who wishes to go next I think that

leaves Phil I think so believe I believe it's Professor C who is uh going to do his

same his transformation sequence looks largely the same as last time his didn't get fancier um I'm going to pull back to

a position close to the Queen's guard to try to kind of uh reinforce them and maybe urge them to get the queen out of

here and uh I'm going to I'm going to try to crack a shot at one of these smaller spiders since I know I can take

them down if I can actually hit them which is tricky okay so you you do come up you have to run up a Stairway around

up to a balcony where she was kind of overlooking the ballroom and you stand with the guard they look maybe a little

relieved have back up here as they say your majesty your majesty must leave

this way this way and uh yeah she's kind of reluctant to uh leave her her station

of the little ones the five little ones left are trying to yank themselves out of this ice and they are starting to

pull themselves free but none of them makes it more than a step or two towards

the presence so they do not make moves to attack anyone but they are working their way to free themselves and get to

the presence the two large ones in the center of the room though one of them is

going to is going to go for uh Jame Margaret and one of them is going to go

of them rears up like the smaller ones did on its massive legs and tries to smash down it's uh its little feet are

are like sharpened like blades as it tries to smash down and the other one is

going to uh go up and try to use its spindly little arms which are sh like

blades they're almost like swords and it's going to slash through the air uh

so one of those is going towards uh I need both uh d d Margaret and siley to

make uh you could footwork dueling or Vigor tell me how you were trying to

escape these blows these are the large ones right these are the large ones and

how big are they roughly 15 to 20 fet they're so large

enough for me to like get like stand on if I needed to oh easily cool then I'm going to use footwork and I'm going to

try to duck under and use its blow as it brings itself down to get onto its back

uh which will then inform what happens next turn okay give me a roll that is a four on footwork that is a success so

yes you nimbly dash between its legs and like use one as a a foothold to bounce

up onto its back and it lashes its sword arms through the air but from that

again and it's like the saber suddenly extends out so it's like giant great

sword siiz weapon uh that is more capable of taking the blow and if I succeed I then just kind of shove it to

ruling your honor so in in the circumstance that you are doing

last time you're trying to do that again but you kind of can't with this massive thing bearing down on you can't get the

moment but then you manage to push forward and push it off you and you are perfectly fine cool not not entirely but

because either a one or a Max rooll both of those can be successes and you know a

two can be a success at certain things or a four can be a success at certain things it just depends on what the thing

is and in what way you're trying to apply it so like an honor role is not going to succeed at everything like if

because dancing is Maybe not your thing if you roll a one that's probably just a failure because that's not something you

were particularly skilled or trained at but unless you're in the weird situation where your entire Society was like a

you've noticed particularly those views who have gotten very close to them is

that the large spiders are wearing like like a vest around their middle that's

like bright blue with gold bing it's it's very fancy it's very decorative

almost like they were dressed for the ball as well and it's their bodies aren't quite suited to these to these

vests so it looks it's once you get close enough to notice it it looks extremely odd but you know in a weird

way it kind of fits an effort was made all right um actually I have an

idea here um I I thought there was some kind of thing where you could do like a combo thing where you could do something that set somebody else up well there is

not a specific thing for like but you can do a combo with the lot of you to uh

okay combine your weapons into an ultimate attack and one of the nice things about a system like this without

initiative is that you could do an it doesn't matter what order you go in you could do something to set up someone

else and just everyone has to roll to succeed it's not necessarily a special thing but you can you can work together

with the power of friendship to succeed at your goals and just feels like it's more it's in case a Zord shows up or

you know the copper bear and kind of give him the head thing that goes like trade dance partners and while after I

um I have a question okay we have a queen's favor right yeah everyone has a queen's favor

got one of its legs knocked off um you managed to hit another one of its joints

this joint where this sword arm is attached and just slice through it and

and then there are two of them that are still moving and then two large spiders one of which is missing a leg and one of

the Skylight is there a chandelier anywhere yeah um very important I wow um

I I will say there are a row of chandeliers kind of uh on either side of

where the Skylight was so you had the Skylight right through the middle but on either side there's a row of delicate

glass chandeliers okay well I'll leave the uh I'll leave the uh the high flly

no harm in bringing my macka in through that route I think I want to use some kind of onboard Weaponry on it on these

on on the larger spiders since they seem a little more threatening um so I kind of want to do that that the same melodic

whistle that we've all kind of used and call my bird in through the uh through the uh through the Skylight hop into it

and I think it's onboard Weaponry uh since my element is yes my element is water I think the beak opens and it

effectively has a high pressure fire hose inside sure and I want to try to

hit one of these larger spiders and kind of push it out of the way uh of like basically keep it from going towards its

objective which I'm guessing is stealing Christmas again I have a question yeah okay can I like so my element is water

can I like assist with this somehow I mean you have not taken your attack this

through are getting back to their feet but they are not making progress towards their goal two others have are

continuing to advance towards the packages and have gotten to the room where they are in but have not made any

progress getting away with them and I let's see one of the large robots

knocked over uh getting back to its feet a little unsteady and the other one

which has sir Riley on top of it has its you know it has its sword arms and it

takes one kind of has to go with a with a weird angle of it to swipe it over its

us out in our first field Expedition this one was actually to Germany there's a uh series of fossilized

lakes in Germany where various famous dinosaurs including arop by the way uh I've always wanted to talk about that

one um but in the picture I'm standing next to and to the side of Robert uh who

is looking at me and I am looking at him and we're kind of not really noticing the rest of the people around us and I'm

staring at it because I thought this was long since gone also it means that the queen knows who I am which is a little

disconcerting because I've been trying very hard to hide the whole costume thing um but you know she is the queen

um so yeah I stare at it for a long time and look up and I not bow but really

drop my head to indicate that I appreciate it but at the same time it's extremely sad for me and yes that is

that is the end of our adventure uh the the celebrations continue through the

night and into the morning and uh the the remains of this horrible event are

cleaned up the palace slowly rebuilt and you continue to defend the crown and

Kingdom and the occasional scientific Expedition on the side and that's it
