they made the change to 5v5 very specifically because of professional OverWatch play which is now pretty much

dead right it is very much dead dead outside of like like you know maybe Junior leagues or or whatever you want

to call them um they did it because of that but they they did it mostly because they didn't want

multi-tank meta and the the problem was is multiple tanks could be incredibly disruptive when played in a coordinated

fashion and you could see this even back in you know OverWatch one in casual play

or ranked play if you had two people on a team uh that were really good at T in

and could play tanks at a high level you could disrupt an entire team by yourself

that said because there is a matchmaking basis in the game that goes off the

skill and wins and all the other stuff uh they don't call it MMR but it's MMR let's be 100% honest um you don't really

have to worry about that because you're just going to get paired against other people that do the same thing and for me

that was some of the most fun OverWatch I've ever played was when you have a battle of four tanks just kind of going

at it back and forth while the rest of the team is trying to figure out well how do we get in here or how do we deal

with this um and they were some of the most fun matches some of the most give and take some of the least one-sided

matches I've ever experienced and in OverWatch 2 and I will say this and my experience may be different than others

I want to make sure that I I acknowledge this for those of you that do still play most of the OverWatch 2 games I play in

in quick play and in rank play are are very one-sided very early and that means

that the matches are quicker but it also means that once we get once you get to a

certain point you feel like you can never get back or come back um I remember moving the payload back and

forth and uh those type of matches and having them take a while and those felt good right like it felt like you you had

skin in the game you could go back and forth you could you could run the clock out you had options and in some of these

Maps now if you get to a certain point there's no point in even fighting back just let the match end uh so you can go

heartwarming I mean sad but also a heartwarming story like we often talk about the the bad side of gaming and

that tends to make a lot of the news but stuff like this really highlights like what games can do for people there's a

there's a content creator that I do watch regularly like that makes Minecraft videos of all things good

times with scar who like he's another person he has a neuromuscular disease that uh he's in in a wheelchair and has

to have oxygen but like his content is friendly and funny and he has friends as

a result of this he can't really leave his house but he has you know a ton of friends that he met because of this and

and funny because like they they give you these video games give you an opportunity to overcome your limitations

in a way it it reminds me of like explaining to my mother that my internet friends were my real friends right like

there's a there's a level of that and this is something that like really highlights how much truth that is right

can't say I don't know them I can't say that they're not people in my life but we've we've not met physically and we

in a week from non- aniversary sources um which I didn't notice when I was writing it up I mean just putting it he

here so talk about that Liz since I've heard you talk yeah it's it's interesting they buffed the number of

tokens you can get because it was really it was really poultry amounts you know you could go and do like a weekly event

on the is dor and get two yeah and it's like to buy a class set you need 60 so

that was that was very it was a little trying you would do you could do stuff out in calgar and you get a token or two

and at the anniversary event itself there are actually very few things that reward tokens you can run Black Rock

deps you can do codex of chromy once a week you can kill the three World bosses

and tener but the number of things you can do that are actually part of the anniversary

event are very limited that reward tokens those still don't reward a lot of tokens but the non aniversary event

tokens their drops have increased so just doing your normal stuff on calgari

you log on you do theater troop or uh or you do a world boss I think I think

world boss counts you do things like that and you get a couple tokens and it's like oh yeah that's great you now

of two is still only four yeah nice uh so uh dagal weekly quests now give you

10 tokens each and before they were two maybe three uh the holiday quests like

they are warband transferable just just as a reminder and uh another thing to mention since we're talking about this

is that apparently you also can get more token drops after you earn your first 100 tokens uh which this week is the

first time you can do that if you've been collecting I believe yeah blizzard hasn't really publicized this but your

drop rate increases after you've earned your first 100 tokens but last week the

absolute maximum you could have gotten was I think 61 if you did every single

thing that rewarded any token you could have gotten 61 so this is the first week you could even possibly consider getting

up to 100 tokens to be able to do that um and at that point there are actually some repeatable things you can do to

me um like you can do a classic time walking dungeon you get two per
