This week we're continuing our game of Rebel Scum, a game of anti-fascist space opera that seems a lot like Star Wars -- so of course we just used it to play in the Star Wars universe! When an overwhelmingly powerful fascist Empire threatens those who want to see a better future for those around them and for the rest of the galaxy, what do you do? You fight back, you fight hard, and you don't stop until you win.
Join GM Phil Ulrich as we follow the crew of the Furious Tooka on their quest to free the overworked, underpaid, and Empire-oppressed workers of the miners of the Salient System. Their target? Some Gamorrean grunt named Flegg who seems to be the key to the disappearance of their contact. Or was his name Greg? Maybe Blerg? Look, names are hard. Here's our cast of characters:
- Chris as Varin Jayne (Rogue/Vanguard), a Corellian with a starship who maybe was in it just for profit to start with but maybe — just maybe -- has a heart of gold buried down in there. If he sounds familiar to you, no he doesn't.
- Mitch as TB-WN2 (Robot/Fighter), a former assassin droid who has given up his life of killing for good. Instead, he brings a delightful accent, a calm demeanor, and a weird array of shapeshifting abilities to bear.
- Liz as Mia (Revolutionary/Expert), who is very definitely just an ordinary starship mechanic and definitely not a spy and elite hacker in the service of the Rebellion. Why would you even think that? You have some wild ideas, stranger.
- Joe as YHA-U, aka "Yeehaw" (Robot/Tank), a good-natured former mining droid who now fights to break the chains -- and necks -- of tyranny.
- Matt as The Orphan (Ronin/Fighter), a Wookiee and former Jedi Padawan who looks like he's been in a lot of fights and narrowly won them; he's a problem solver, as long as the problem can be solved with violence.
This is the second in a three-part game of Rebel Scum! Look for new episodes every Monday.
This game was played with the second edition of Rebel Scum from 9th Level Games, a game of laser swords, space combat, and fighting back against space fascists trying to put their boots on your collective necks. If you're interested in getting this easy-to-learn game for yourself -- it's powered by the Polymorph system much like our prior games of Pigeon's 11 and Sentai & Sensibility, meaning it's lightweight and narrative focused -- you can pick up the digital copy from 9th Level's itch.io page for the game, or in print (with free PDF!) directly from 9th Level Games.

Hello and welcome back to Tavern Watch plays Rebel Scum, a Space opera game of
0:30
kicking fascists right in the face. Uh I'm your GM, Phil, and uh let's just go
0:36
around and get a quick reminder of who everyone is playing. Uh I'll start at the top with Chris.
0:42
Hey. Yeah, I am playing Var and Jane, our wonderful friendly human male from
0:48
Krillia who's also a smuggler who is also uh the captain of our wonderful
0:53
ship. All righty. Uh sounds good. Joe.
0:59
Hi, I'm Joe Perez. I will be playing YH a-u
1:04
known as Yeehaw to his friends. Uh I am a former mining droid turned Basham bro.
1:12
Uh yeah, that's that's really it. I'm basically the the equivalent of a uh a space
1:18
droid dwarf. That's very rocket stone of you. Uh that
1:24
giggle. Uh, Liz Harper, who are you playing? I am playing Mia, a totally ordinary
1:31
starship mechanic who is definitely not a rebel spy. Not at all. Why would you accuse her of
1:37
that? That's so re That's so weird. Uh, next up, Matt. I'm so glad you guys
1:42
speak Shriwok so I can say that I am the orphan, a burned up, battered, really
1:48
not tremendously happy, forceing ex Jedi kind of Jedi uh Wookie and and
1:55
I'm I just cut a fascist in half. So, I'm feeling pretty good about myself. We're all very happy about it. I believe
2:01
at this point canonically everyone in the party speaks Shyberwuk except Yehaw. Ye-haw just kind of nods and
2:08
smiles and then gets translation from our last character. Uh Mitch, who are you playing?
2:13
Howdy. I am TB-WN2. I am a reformed Kilbot. I am very good
2:19
at killing, but I do not like to do it. Um and I'm here with my new friends. Uh
2:24
also, I can turn into some uh geometric shapes depending on uh you know how cube
2:31
like they are. So far, this has been your most demonstrable skill. Uh Liz, do you want to give uh do you want to give the
2:37
audience a rundown on what happened on episode 1? Okay. Previously on Rebel Scum, we
2:44
arrived at the uh mining city of Vornac looking for our contact Janeiro, who was
2:52
organizing the workers in this mining town to perhaps help out the rebellion.
2:57
And he's mysteriously vanished. So, while trying to find him, we caused
3:03
a little bit of tiny tiny bit of trouble in town, we caused more trouble at Janeiro's apartment, where we are soon
3:10
going to have to contend with four dead or missing stormtroopers.
3:16
And uh we still don't know where he is. It's going to be fun to find out.
3:23
Yep. I'd say that about sums it up. You all are uh currently in and around uh Jenro's uhro's apartment. It's uh maybe
3:31
three rooms. Uh there were some stormtroopers in here tossing the place when you got here. Two on guard, two
3:37
inside doing the dirty work. But out of those, I believe uh one got blasted, one got cut in half, one got conked on the
3:43
head real hard, and one had an awful sonic noise made into his helmet until he passed out. So, we are currently
3:50
looking at uh two two corpses and two uh two unconscious people. And you just
3:57
found uh indication that General had sent kind of an emergency message to his uh rebellion contact indicating that the
4:04
Imperials had stepped up their presence on the planet uh and he felt he was in danger.
4:09
I assume as someone who is totally not a rebel spy that I would know if his message got through to the rebellion.
4:17
Uh yes, actually you would know that. Um you know, does the rebellion have read
4:24
receipts? Uh um I think you can look at the kind of
4:32
the headers for where this thing went in the uh kind of where it went when it
4:37
left the local hollow net. Um yes, it did get through, but you also see that it got routed somewhere else first.
4:44
Oh, that's not good. No, remember remember it is encrypted, so
4:50
they probably don't have the exact uh you know name of his contact or who he was talking. He probably doesn't have
4:56
the exact name of his contact either. Um or even the info therein, which would be pretty incriminating, is uh not
5:04
necessarily in someone's hands yet, but it could be in the very near future if you don't find him.
5:11
Yes. Even really quick. Oh, go ahead. Even knowing he was sending an encrypted
5:17
message if uh the Empire knew this, they would certainly want to make him disappear.
5:24
Mhm. Uh TV, what's up? Uh last time I the message that was sent out said there was a new leader or I I
5:32
can't remember the specific, but it did name a specific position like on the planet and said this person was new.
5:37
Yes, the uh the empire had the the empire is considering this a new sector that they're going to attempt to move
5:43
into and so they have appointed a governor. Um the appointment of the new uh governor Moth Luca Desick uh has had
5:52
alarm gen. Yeah. Okay. So Moth Luca Desk is in charge of the planet and system and that's also
5:58
governor. Cool. Thank you.
6:04
All right. Uh, what are what are some of the rest of you doing while uh while Mia's uh rumaging through Jinro's email?
6:10
Guarding the two conscious guys. Yes, it's true. And I believe uh well, they're unconscious, but they're
6:16
not dead, so I'm guarding them. They are. They're unconscious. And I believe uh uh Yehaul was watching out
6:23
the uh guarding the basically doing watchdog duty. Yes. Yep.
6:28
Okay. Um, so I assume we took their guns and stuff
6:34
cuz that that's just 101. I would assume so. Uh, yeah. So, the two unconscious guys
6:41
kind of start to stir after a while and they're uh, one of them starts to say
6:47
something and then he sees two halves of a stormtrooper on the ground behind the orphan. He kind of backs up against the
6:53
wall and he says, "Jedi, you must be rebel scum. Aren't you all supposed to be dead anyway?
7:02
Oh, right. You don't have a common decent galactic basic helmet and just
7:07
slam it to the floor. Give me a give me a blasters roll.
7:13
Okay.
7:18
Six. Yep. That uh Yeah, he's uh and he is unconscious again. you were
7:27
probably doing. This guy probably has a serious concussion at this point. I like turn to look at the other one.
7:32
Uh he just kind of holds his hands up and he says just take what you want and
7:37
get out of here. She all know not to anger the Wookie.
7:45
Says some people, you know, they got to run their mouth.
7:50
He's just kind of he's doing his best to appear non-threatening, especially since he doesn't have a gun, so he's not very threatening.
7:58
Can we perhaps get information out of him right now? Go for it. I I'm not going to be able to question him.
8:04
You could certainly try. Uh, how do you want to try to do that?
8:11
Um, I will walk up to him and I will get real close. But first, I will unbucket.
8:17
I don't know if I did that initially. The bucket just wheels up to him. Yeah, he was Well, he was he was I think
8:23
I had described him earlier as slumped across you. Yeah, I had to lift you when you So,
8:28
yeah. So, when you turn out of bucket form, ah, okay. Uh, yeah, that's right. I was the
8:35
bucket. Uh, and so I walk up real close to him, I look him in the face and I say, "I am a reformed killbot, but I am
8:43
still a killbot. I can kill you and you won't even know it happened because it'll have happened so fast. Now, we
8:50
want some information and you're gonna cooperate with us or I'm gonna killbot you.
8:57
Okay. Um I'm going to say that because it's the threat violence, I'm okay if
9:03
you want to roll this as a blasters roll. And I believe you have I believe you have the killbot edge. Is that
9:09
correct? I uh killer. Yes. Killer. Yeah. So, you know, you know how to make this sound realistic. You've
9:15
you've threatened people this way before. So, go ahead and roll with advantage. Uh a blaster roll with advantage.
9:22
Oh, no. Uh oh. Yay. Four. Okay, that works. Uh yeah, he kind of
9:29
says, "Whoa, whoa. I I'm not trying to get killed. What What do you want to know? What do you want to know? Just,
9:34
you know, just I didn't see you. You didn't see me. We saw you. what happened to Jinro Udane
9:41
and Varloane? He says, "Uh, I uh" and he says, "I I
9:48
don't know other than that." I mean, okay. Kind of stops. He says, "Don't hit
9:53
me. Don't kill me." Um, I don't know where they are, but I know I I know the
9:59
Empire has them. They think Jenro knows something about something. Uh, I don't know if he does
10:04
or not. That's why we're here. We're here to find out if that's true. But uh
10:11
I I don't know where they're keeping him. I'm that that's above my pay grade.
10:16
Whose pay grade is it? Says uh if it were anybody, I'd say uh
10:23
maybe some of the uh and he says you guys were here when the uh you saw a
10:29
couple guys uh leave right before right before you came in here attempting to look a little too hard to be
10:35
inconspicuous. Yep. says that's uh yeah, he says those guy kind of looks up and
10:41
kind of jumps when you talk because you haven't said a thing so far. So he startles he says they uh in as thanks
10:51
for helping the uh for for helping Moffessic uh tighten his control on this
10:57
planet. Uh Bleg was given a personal guard of uh some more uh let's say
11:03
higher rank troops. Um they're they're they're incognito. They're undercover as miners, but uh they they keep an eye on
11:11
Blleg. They keep an eye on the mines. They're trying to keep anything from uh from happening down there that would
11:16
threaten the uh flow of materials off the planet.
11:21
He says if you if anybody knows where he's at, it's probably them. Thank you for your cooperation. Does
11:27
anyone else have any more questions for this guy? No. You've done a great job. I Oh. Oh,
11:36
no. My character wouldn't think of this. Sorry.
11:42
Um, I I I walk over to guy I I walk over from the door. I shut it all the way and I walk over to the trooper.
11:50
When's the last time there was trouble in the mines? Uh, what what what kind of trouble do
11:57
you mean? I mean like you know they were stirring up uh the kind that the kind that draws the
12:03
attention of your kind. He says well there was they they brought in brought in the moth partly to lock
12:10
down the planet but also partly because uh Dame was trying to organize the workers into some kind of group. Uh
12:19
I'd say probably I said probably probably a week or so ago there were there were rumors that they were uh gonna you know go on strike.
12:26
Can't have that. And then I knock him unconscious.
12:32
Bonk. Uh yeah, at this point, this is the guy that already got like a ear full of sonic uh uh sonic blaster, so he's
12:40
already kind of dazed on. I think he just he just knock it back out.
12:46
I look at everybody else. If we're not going to kill them, then we need to tie them up and try to stash
12:52
them somewhere in this apartment to give us more time. You can do what you want to do with them. I'm not taking the life
12:58
unless I'm actively being shot at. But we need to get out of here and talk about our next steps. I have really bad
13:05
idea that I want to talk about with everybody. So, let's I'll I'll take care of the the dirty
13:13
work. Y'all get out of here. Can't Can't y'all just like mind wipe
13:18
him or something? Unfortunately Unfortunately, learn how to do that.
13:23
Yeah. Unfortunately, TB uh unlike us, they don't have hard drives. You know that. We Let's go for a walk. And I just
13:29
kind of like lead TB out like a toddler. Oh. Oh. Okay. Uh make sure he has like
13:36
something to Well, no, he don't need anything. Just Just be nice with the
13:41
killing. Um, I figured at this point, uh,
13:48
when we when he came in and shot Von when Von shot the one, he had a data
13:53
pad, right? Uh, yes. It's part of what uh, Mia picked up. Was it one of Was it a data pad from
14:01
this place? It was Yeah, it was one of It's uh, so it wasn't his data pad. They don't
14:06
have anything like data pads or anything on them. Correct. Okay.
14:13
That's a lot. I couldn't I couldn't decide if my my character would notice or not, so I just said it.
14:19
That's fine. That's good to ask. Uh I mean, the data pad would be obvious even if uh not the intel gathering kind of
14:26
character, but I think at this point you've gotten what you can out of them. I'd say the camera probably cuts outside. We see TB and uh uh TB and
14:33
Yehaw uh walking towards the stairs, and I think maybe there's a couple of blaster sounds in the background. Um,
14:39
and then the rest of the party rest of the party files out, closes the door behind them.
14:44
Before before we go, I want to make sure that all data that might implicate the rebellion is fried on this computer and
14:52
any data pads here. Okay. Um, yeah, I I won't make you roll. I think that's within your skill set as
14:59
a as a revolutionary. Um, yeah, you you know that there's a there's basically a
15:04
kill switch built into the the data pad that he was using for his encrypted email was probably supplied to him and
15:11
so you can confirm that a standard kill switch is installed and it just wipes it back to factory settings.
15:17
Okay. All righty. Uh, what's your next move? I believe uh I believe said he had a bad
15:23
idea and as a GM those are my favorite kind of ideas. Yeah. So, I think we find I I want to see if we can find a place to kind of
15:29
hold up uh out of the way, maybe away from the HAB block uh where we can lay low for a little bit just just uh while
15:35
we talk about stuff and figure out what's going on. Um I assume that's relatively easy to do in a mining town
15:42
like this. Yeah, there's uh there's lots of places people don't go is what I'll say. So, I
15:48
think you can you can find yourself a nice like shady alley or something. All right. Well, so here's my bad idea,
15:56
and it worked. It worked on Umbra for at least a little bit, and it might work here. We need a distraction and to draw
16:03
out Gleb or Bleg, whatever.
16:08
Greg, the the the human these human names don't make any sense. Anyway, he's got a
16:14
personal guard. We know that they're a little bit higher up and they're better trained. We need them distracted. They're
16:20
supposed to be watching the mines, right? Why don't we make a little bit of a
16:26
tussle? Why don't How distracted do you want them? Jiro
16:32
translates that. Janeiro was apparently trying to put encourage the workers to go on strike.
16:39
What if we continued stirring things up? Either stirring things up for a strike or stirring things up with an
16:45
altercation. And I look at our our two humans
16:50
because you Chris, you're a human, too, right? That's correct. So, I look at the two humans. It's not
16:57
that hard to get a uniform that looks really Imperial. Like, it's not that hard for you to go push around some some
17:03
miners and get them all up in arms. And I mean, we just saw four stormtroopers.
17:09
Yeah. And two of them still had perfectly intact uniforms before, you know, we could easily have taken the whole
17:14
outfit. I mean, are we taking Stormtrooper uniforms or do we just want
17:19
kind of normal Imperial uniforms? I think you want Imperial uniforms. You want You don't The problem is, right,
17:28
Stormtroopers are faceless. They're everywhere. They're generic. They're There's There's hundreds of them,
17:33
whether they're brainwashed, you know, automatons or whether they're willing participants in tyranny, doesn't
17:41
matter. They're they're everywhere. They're generic people. They don't pay any mind to them, right?
17:47
This is part of what made the clone so dangerous in the first place back in the old days. They were everywhere and
17:52
people didn't suspect them. We need a face and you two, I mean,
18:00
you're good at not being known publicly when you don't want to be. I think we go
18:06
find you some some either imperial or some
18:12
maybe some clothes that look like you work for the man. Start some stuff. Get the miners a
18:19
little agitated. Get them to start fighting back and pushing back which will draw his guards
18:25
away from him. And then we go have a talk with the man. That's my bad idea. Whether you guys
18:32
want to do it or not, that's up to you. But I'm just saying I've seen I've seen unrest like this before. We can
18:37
capitalize on it and it sucks cuz people might get hurt, but I don't know a better way that we're going to be able to get in without an allout fight. And
18:45
at least this point the the miners will probably back off before anything seriously escalates
18:51
and it should be enough time. What do you guys think? Well, if we want to get the Empire out
18:57
of this planet, off this planet, then we can't do it alone. And the
19:04
miners need to realize they could have a part in this.
19:10
And if we can keep the Empire from getting the supplies they're looking for from this mine, all the better. The
19:17
miners have a lot of power here. They just don't realize it. And with stormtroopers, walking the streets.
19:24
It's uh Yeah. You see very intimidating. You see uh Yeha Pats's mining laser and
19:30
Pats's drill. Yeah. There's a They don't realize how destructive these things can
19:36
be when they want them to be. All right. So, I'll say if you all are
19:41
looking to acquire Imperial uniforms, there's a few places you could look. Uh,
19:47
one is you did just see a few people who you now know are Imperial agents. Uh,
19:52
you could raid the uniform, raid the apartment you saw them come out of. It would require breaking in, but you can
19:59
guess maybe there's a couple of Imperial dress uniforms in there. Um, the other one, the stormtroopers have to have a
20:07
barracks somewhere on planet. Uh, that would be a little trickier because you're walking right right into enemy
20:12
lines, but you could probably find something inside. Maybe like a offduty uniform that you could grab. Uh, I'd say
20:20
you probably have a couple viable options for that plan if you all want to do it. I mean, Mia's right here, and we
20:26
haven't actually left the area. We just came out of the building. So, we could just go back in. She could probably get
20:31
in that lock pretty easily, and we could go through and find any Imperial uniforms. It seems easier than
20:38
going to a stormtrooper barracks. Yeah, that does sound convenient. And we know at least they have just left, that
20:44
we may be pushing it on time here for being in the presence of dead
20:49
stormtroopers. Well, I also have their radio, so I'm listening to hear if there's any calls
20:55
back. Yeah, I'd say. So, if you uh you do have a little bit of an advanced warning if anything happens, but uh you know, just
21:02
don't fail any rolls. That's all I'll say. Just keep rolling ones like you've been doing. Yes.
21:09
This game. Yep. Uh okay. So, it sounds like we're going to try to break into the apartment
21:15
that we saw the troopers uh the the undercover troopers coming out of.
21:21
Mhm. Does that sound right? Okay. Um
21:26
trying to think what do this is. I'd say this might actually be So, these these
21:32
uh this hablock actually is like they said it's fairly old. The lock is actually physical. So, uh, I'm going to
21:39
say this would actually be a a move roll for you, testing your dexterity rather than your usual intel.
21:46
Okay. Well, we're going to see. Can I roll this at advantage?
21:53
Yeah, sure. I'm easy.
21:59
Uh, well, I rolled a three and a four. Actually, both of those succeed on a
22:05
move roll. Yep. Those are both successes. Those are successes. Yep. A move roll is a three, four, or a five.
22:11
The expert isn't bad at those. They're just a little harder. It's just violence where you get uh you know trick where
22:18
things get tricky for you. Okay. Yeah. You uh you start to you like you get up there and maybe you start to
22:24
get out your you know your your handy gadgets and you go, "Oh, nope. This this calls for an older school approach and
22:29
you actually uh break out a pair of lockpicks and let yourself into this apartment." Um, compared to the one that
22:36
you were just in, this is a little more um, let's say a little nicer. Maybe they
22:42
kind of claimed the nicest one for themselves. Um, and you Yeah. So now you have
22:50
briefly uh the run of uh an Imperial apartment. What would you like to do?
22:57
I'm going to let everyone else do something. I've been talking a lot. I mean, you know, I think
23:05
Faron's got a head. He's got the communication, so he's monitoring that. I'll just provide looming presence, and
23:12
if anyone needs something attacked, I'll attack it. I mean, don't really have a lot else to do here.
23:17
I guess a better question would be, is there anything anyone wants to accomplish while you're in here other than stealing a couple of humans sized
23:23
uniforms? Actually, is there any way to find out like while that's going on, do
23:29
they have any kind of database or anything on who's like Imperial people on this planet since they seem to be
23:35
highly placed? That's what I was going to look for too. Some sort of computer database to like hack into.
23:41
Okay. Uh, whoever wants to do that. Uh, yeah, I think there is a uh standard
23:46
issue Imperial uh comm unit installed in the apartment. I would say whoever wants to whichever of you wants to do that,
23:52
give me an intel role. Um, not my forte, but I can I'm going to be best at that, but I did
23:58
come in here looking for uniforms. Yeah, I mean, I could always ask you to do it cuz, you know, again, I know I'm
24:06
not good at this, but if you guys want, I will I will do a roll because I'm not, you know, I'm not um would I can I roll with advantage
24:13
since I'm a mega even if it's Yep. Nope. This is uh I said it's not
24:19
exactly your forte, but you do have that uh that that good computer brain. So yeah, roll with advantage.
24:25
Okay. Uh Li like Liz, do you want to try first or you go for it? I've been making a lot of
24:32
rolls. Uh oh, shoot. That's a five and an eight. That's not going to do it.
24:41
Uh yeah, cuz you're rolling the D. Are you rolling a D8 or a D10? D8.
24:46
D. Uh that actually is a successor. Oh. Oh, I forgot about that. The the eight right now is your ultimate
24:53
which uh the balance uh is currently at a three and so an eight right now is an automatic success. Uh so you did it. Uh
25:02
yeah, you see uh the even more boring Imperial outlook. Um, you do see a mention of
25:11
some like Mia Mia discovered that uh you know uh outgoing comms had apparently
25:17
been rerouted. There's a kind of a mention of that noting that all all traffic in or out of the uh all traffic
25:25
in or out of salient 2 uh would be routed through the unit that uh Jesse
25:32
had brought on planet with him. Uh you find uh what what are you looking
25:37
for? I guess tell me. I wanted him to look uh I will actually even say this are the look for the title
25:44
Inquisitor. Okay. Uh nothing nothing of that sort
25:52
turns up here. Seems to be a strictly military uh
25:57
uh kind of a small military operation.
26:03
When did this moth show up? Oh, go ahead. Uh, little over a little over a week
26:09
ago. Maybe a week and a half. I think nine days was what I said at one point. Okay, that's all I needed. That's all I
26:14
can think of that I would have asked. Uh, if Well, do do we know where DESIC
26:20
would be or would would it be any benefit to us to like figure out where the comms are being specifically routed?
26:27
Uh, probably. So uh you can't so I would say the only you see mention of
26:35
something uh something called Adon base ado n base there's no like physical
26:42
location of it given but that seems to be whatever or wherever that is that seems to be where has set up shop
26:50
okay cool thank you okay anybody else want to
26:57
I relay that to the Okay. Anybody want to do anything else in this apartment before you all get
27:02
what you want and go? Nope. I'm really good at doing things like breaking stuff and bashing stuff.
27:08
So, uh, this is not I I'm a bull in a china shop at this point, so I'm good.
27:13
See, if we needed to put the break in breaking and entering, I guess you could have, but uh, fortunately me, I got the entering part
27:18
down first. I I am going to make it look like no one was in here as best I can. Even though I
27:25
think, you know, next door is pretty obvious, but maybe they can not notice we also got into here.
27:32
Okay. Uh yeah, you uh you
27:38
minus the fact that there are now two uniforms missing from the closet uh who that are conveniently sized uh to fit
27:44
Mia and Ven. Um, you even managed to lock the door behind you and you all
27:49
kind of creep back out of this place. Um,
27:54
what would you like to do next? There any other preparation you wanted to do in town?
28:01
Just as a reminder, the troops that you saw, the ones you're trying to draw out and or distract, you did see them headed
28:06
towards uh the shuttle port that would take them towards the mines.
28:12
Yeah. So, if we're going to do this, I think
28:17
I'm trying to think if it we're going to have to head towards the mines at some point, right? I can
28:23
definitely blend in. So, I think maybe I do a detour. I don't like leaving the party, but at the very least, like you
28:30
can locate me uh and like we can meet back up. But I think I
28:38
and this I'm going to run this by the group. I separate off. I go to the mines
28:43
because I am a mining droid and I start fanning the flames a little bit like go
28:51
through and just kind of like you know do the the the complaining and like you
28:56
know oh man the humans really have it terrible I feel bad for you guys at least I can't feel anything like that
29:02
type of stuff like get them get them uncomfortable and prepped and primed so that when you guys are doing your thing
29:08
it makes it more likely to succeed. need. Does that make sense?
29:14
Yeah. So, I think maybe maybe I'll go do that while they're getting the costumes and
29:20
uh and everything set up is I'll just hop on a transit heading out to the mines and uh you know, I'm I don't think
29:26
anybody's going to really check me. I'm a mining droid, so I'll just pop on and just go and you know, I'll go do some
29:32
mining while I'm getting people ready to to maybe like fight back against some of the the oppression.
29:39
Yeah, that's fair. Um, okay. So, we'll follow you to the mines first, and then we'll see.
29:45
For those of you listening at home, don't split the party, but I'm going to do the thing. I'm doing the send. Uh, in fact, you, in fact, you in fact,
29:52
you mechanically don't want to split the party uh in Rebel Scum, but you did. Um,
29:57
so this is your notice that the balance has shifted to four. It is now in Twilight. Uh, ultimate rolls, which are
30:03
the max number on your die, now have to be negotiated to be a success. So, this is this is why I asked before I
30:10
did it and nobody told me no. I'm not telling you no when you want to do something. No, I think it's good. Uh, it's fine.
30:17
It's fine. It's fine. Yeah. We're risking things. Yeah. So, you uh So, we I said we'll
30:23
follow we'll follow uh E-Haul for for a little bit here. Uh yeah, no one looks twice at a mining droid wanting to get
30:30
on the uh wanting to get on a transport and head to the mine. I think maybe um
30:36
like even the fact that your old hardware doesn't necessarily draw looks because this is a planet that's like you said this is a corporate owned planet.
30:41
It's not like they replaced their droids when they were uh you know they they just gave new parts. Yeah.
30:47
Ever uh well past warranty and they're still using them. So, uh, it's probably like a 30 minute ride out of town, I'd
30:54
say, uh, to get to the mining to the, uh, to the mine itself, which is, uh,
31:00
fairly busy above ground with preparing for minerals for shipment, and then it just goes down into well into the
31:08
planet's crust. Um, so you you disembark uh the shuttle and Yehaw is at the mine.
31:15
What would you like to do first? Uh, I'm just going to I guess get prepped and
31:20
figure out where the I guess I where probably where the the worst mining conditions are where I
31:27
would think from like whatever the available like routes or assignments are and just start heading that way. Uh, and
31:34
start with the the most likely to be easily agitated. and I'll go through and
31:39
I'll do like some I'll participate like I'll be mining I'll do stuff I'll get and then I just kind of want to like
31:45
poke the bear a little bit. Uh yeah.
31:51
Okay. Um so I'll leave it to you which of two roles you want to take here. One
31:57
is if you want to focus on the intel gathering side of that. Um you can do an
32:04
intel roll. I don't know that you strictly have. Yeah, actually since you're pretending
32:10
to be to actually to be a minor by actually mining, I would say your lifter
32:15
uh edge would apply here if you want to do that. The other one, uh so blasters
32:20
in this setting does not strictly mean violence. It can also mean things like debate or you know using your words to
32:29
to arouse conflict. Um I don't think you get to do it at advantage in this case. That's fine. I have a I have a larger
32:35
degree of success. Yeah. But that will do that will be more proficient at I would say kind of
32:41
getting the workers uh andor droids if you wanted to uh agitated again and
32:48
maybe some intel slips your way that way. So if you want to do a blasters roll that's fine with me. Absolutely. That's a four on the die.
32:55
You're very good at barely making a blasters roll apparently. Yeah, that's fine. Yeah. Um, yeah. I
33:03
don't think it's hard to find that the place that the mining conditions are worse is literally everywhere. Um, a lot
33:09
of these workers down here, like you don't have to engage them in conversation very long to find out that
33:14
this they're basically being forced to work unpaid overtime. They're the breaks are being, you know,
33:20
whittleled down to practically nothing. The uh food in the canteen has gone to crap. Um,
33:28
yeah. And a lot of the I hear that. I hear that. I hear that that new guy that took over for uh Ging
33:35
or Jurro. What? Why can I remember not remember names? Jinroe because Star Wars name span.
33:41
Ley is the guy who took over for Genro. I hear that guy that took over for Genro gave himself a fat raise and gets to eat
33:48
like a king every night now. Like stuff like that. Yeah.
33:53
Yeah. Yeah. I think one of them will even kind of point Blleg out to you at some point. He is a just a very big
34:00
Gammorian. Um big green pig looking guy. Uh he doesn't seem to be doing any work
34:07
himself, but he's sure very happy to walk around and you know if he thinks he sees somebody slacking, he's very quick
34:12
to, you know, get him back on the job. Luckily, you are faking it well enough uh that you don't draw his attention.
34:19
But it's not Yeah, it's not real hard to get people mad about the conditions here because they suck.
34:26
Yeah. And like little stuff like ah I hear I hear he's got the uh the Imperials uh he's in their lap and he's
34:32
uh trying to turn us all over to him and you know you see Johnny Gunt missing. Yeah, I hear I hear he was uh made an
34:39
example of in front of them. I hear it was his fault and I just I keep pointing at the the big boss.
34:45
Yeah. When I'm kind of nuts towards a towards one of the guys that you saw earlier so you kind of you know try to
34:50
look as anonymous as possible. We're working. He says, "Yeah, these four guys showed up not long after Blleg got promoted." Uh, so they're just as bad as
34:58
he is. You know, see, they you've you've seen two of the uh the advanced uh the
35:05
higher ranked troopers that you know are here incognito supporting Bleg. Um you can gather from conversation there's a
35:11
couple more somewhere. Okay, I've done my part.
35:17
Uh he's doing his part. The the fire is stoked. Uh other party members, what uh
35:25
what would you like to do? If you want, we can cut to you all
35:31
arriving at the mines with uh two of you in uniform. That's fine. I didn't know if there's anything anyone wants to do
35:36
back in town before heading out that way. No, I don't. Nothing back in town. I I
35:42
don't see how I can be with the two people in Imperial uniforms and not like it would be ridiculous.
35:49
Well, they could be forcing you to report to work. You could easily be a captive. That's what I was going to suggest. Uh
35:56
just throw just throwing on a mining suit or whatever. Like they I'm sure there's Wookies on the M here.
36:02
No, there are no Wookies here. We checked. Oh, there's a trans ocean, but there's no Wookies.
36:07
They can throw together something that probably poorly fits you. Yeah. Which goes well with the with the outfit
36:13
you're wearing that already poorly fits you. Yeah. The the really old tattered rose. Yeah, sure. Um,
36:18
yeah, at this point they've got like they've got like a protective helmet that doesn't really fit that's on your head and then somebody hands you a uh a
36:24
mining laser. Okay. I want to look like I've been smacked around. So,
36:32
okay. As I understand, you already do. So, Oh, yeah. Big time. It's very easy. You know, big big burn scars everywhere. I
36:38
definitely look like something happened. All righty. Um, does anybody said uh Mia
36:45
Varin or TB? Is there anything you all want to do before we I said we cut to you all arriving at the mine?
36:51
It was just going to be swapping to the uniform. You got it. Uh yeah, like I said, uh miraculously, there was uh one slightly
36:58
smaller officer and one uh one who slightly larger. Conveniently, they fit
37:04
both of you. Neither of you looks a little short for an Imperial.
37:10
No, good. I was I'll I'll do my best to make sure that we look you know
37:17
the the you know spiffy and imperial Imperial standard you know.
37:22
Yes. You're kind of you're kind of like straightening uh straightening for collar like he's trying to leave the top unbuttoned. You're like no that that's
37:28
against protocol. You like got him buttoned up. He cleans up all right for a Nazi.
37:38
What do I look like? a scruffy looking Nerf herder. Not anymore. Are we the baddies?
37:46
You're only pretending to be the baddies. All right, so we see the shuttle arrive at the mine. Uh I would
37:53
say that Mia and Varin, you step out first, got your uniforms on. Immediately
37:59
draws the eyes of the uh the miners who are like, "Oh, great. More more imps."
38:05
uh followed by TB uh who is presumably not in bucket form at this point anymore
38:11
and uh the orphan who is doing his best to look like a uh I said a captured
38:16
Wookie being forced to go to work in these mines. I mean can TB
38:22
can TB look like he is an Imperial killbot? Is that he's with us?
38:27
I am a I am a reformed killbot. So that that would look like a killbot. reformed. The Yeah, the reformed part is
38:34
more about the internal journey than the external uh you know, visage. Yeah, he's he's reformed on the inside,
38:40
but on the outside, yeah, he still looks like a looks like your your classic uh kill droid. So,
38:46
you you don't mind playing up still being a killbot, right?
38:51
I will do what I can for this rebellion. Thank Oh, we appreciate you.
38:59
All right. Appreciate you. So, uh, what would you all like to do? I
39:04
said, uh, Yeihaw has gone ahead and kind of, uh, set the groundwork here to, uh,
39:09
maybe to to incite some, uh, some anti-Imperial fervor. Um, what would you
39:14
all like to do to, uh, finish the job? I want to look as abused as possible. I
39:20
want to look really works me over. I mean, you could always you could always single me out and, you know, go
39:26
to town on me if you need to. It's not like I can't play up the role.
39:31
Uh, I'm going to give orphan like a shove. Even though I am way, way
39:37
smaller. I'm going to do it with like confidence and be like, "Get to work, Wookie."
39:46
So, I would like the orphan to actually make a blasters save to try and sell
39:52
this. It's the same as It's the same as doing a regular roll. Um, it's just that if if
39:58
if it doesn't go well, something bad may happen. Oh, great.
40:03
Um, four is okay on blasters, right? Four is blasters. Yes. Yeah. So, for me, so I get confused.
40:10
Yeah. So Mia kind of like uh you you and Mia do a successful uh pantomime of
40:16
maybe she kind of you know mimes like she's hitting you with the butt of her gun to prod you to work and you kind of
40:21
stumble out ahead of her and you know in pain. Yeah.
40:27
And yeah it it really looks for all the world like uh she is the the stock
40:33
standard Imperial officer forcing this enslaved Wookie to get to work. Um, Mia,
40:38
you are drawing no shortage of glares. Uh, we'll pick up the mining laser and start shooting rocks with it. Very
40:45
clearly I don't know what I'm doing, but that's fine. Yeah, the or the orphan is getting a lot
40:51
of sympathetic looks. Uh, maybe some of the other workers are kind of like, "You all right there, big guy?" Like, just uh,
40:57
and one of them kind of points you he's like pointing you at a vein where he's like, "Look, this one's almost done, but if you just if you just keep mining
41:03
this, it'll at least keep them off your back." I I flash I flash a look at uh TB
41:11
and kind of like it's kind of the signal of you need to do more
41:19
and like uh kind of like draw attention to myself.
41:25
Wait, draw attention to you. I want He's making He's making me the target. Like I I can take I can take a
41:32
hit. I'm literally a tank. I'm trying torture me. Like I'm saying like I'm looking at like
41:38
you and the others and I'm like come on more like you know little little
41:44
gestures of like as I'm mining like come over make an example of me.
41:49
Okay. Uh in that case I will start kind of just casually walking over uh toward Yehaw. Uh I I do my best to look like
41:57
I'm patrolling. Uh, and then I get up to Yeehaw and I say, "What are you doing
42:03
looking at us? I I will kill you if you don't if you don't mind anymore. Keep
42:10
mining. I'm I'm going I'm going as fast as I can, sir. Go faster. That's not fast enough. Keep
42:18
going. I'm not programmed to go faster, sir. I'm I'm sorry. I do understand programming limitations.
42:24
Uh, but I will kill you and It basically under my breath.
42:29
I'm going to say I'm going to say the success of this pantomime is going to depend on yehaul
42:36
temporarily managing to overclock himself. It's going to look like he's trying to mind a burnout. Give me a bot
42:42
save. Okay, we'll do. This should be in your house as a tank.
42:48
Yeah, I know it is. Uh that is a nine on the die which I think is just at the extreme of it.
42:54
Yeah, that's that is a success. Yeah. So you like you
43:00
like you you you you make it look dangerous. You've overclocked yourself. You're working faster. You're mining
43:06
faster. Like people can hear your servos whining, but it's not actually dangerous to you. You're just old and you know how
43:13
to make your body make noises. I think I I think I have like little sparks or like I like I have like I have some old
43:18
wiring or something like that that like I like start chafing against my chassis and like get the sparks going and then I start as as
43:25
I'm going frantically and frantically and frantically I start slowing down more and more and more like I'm grinding
43:31
to a halt and I like start dimming my lights and
43:37
yeah I I think this draws Blle over. I think he sort of goes, "What? This one broken?" And he kind of clocks you in
43:43
the back of the head again. Give me another might save. Uh that is a seven.
43:49
That That is also a success. So you uh you feel this hit from Blag on the back of you uh trying to do a little
43:55
percussive maintenance on what looks to him like a faulty mining droid that's not putting in all it's worth. But uh
44:01
and I over I oversell the kick like Yeah. Like this is like this is like Steve
44:07
Austin's stunner level of oversell.
44:12
You just Yeah. You just like tip over like sparks coming out of you and the miners are like, "Holy crap, Bleg broke
44:19
that." Bleg, you can't just break the equipment. And like the general mood
44:25
just like shifts like that. Like uh instantly like Bleg finds himself face to face with an angry crowd.
44:32
Whoa, whoa, wait. Blake is surrounded by people. Mhm. Okay, this is going to be tricky. Can I
44:38
use the force to make him hit somebody? Like make it look like he's backhanding
44:43
a dude to get him away from him. Uh yeah, let's try it. That is That is
44:48
violence. Go ahead and give me a I'm going to burn my star for this. I was going to say once this is done,
44:54
right? Like I look at at Chris and Liz's character like and I just kind of like my you see my little eye like flick
45:00
between them and and Ble them and Ble them and Ble hoping that they'll get the idea like to grab him and like get him
45:07
air quote out of here. Yeah, that works. Um yes. So you are the
45:14
Ronin. So you can bring your star to succeed whenever the result brings peace to a situation.
45:20
That's definitely not peace. I was going to say talk me talk me through this one. Hold on. Hold on.
45:26
If we cause the rebellion here to to take root, we will essentially be
45:33
driving the Imperials out, which is a peaceful solution because it doesn't involve me killing anyone with a
45:38
lightsaber. This is you resorting to It is really hard to uh refute that as a
45:46
reformed killbot uh and a mega computer. If you don't if you don't, that's fine.
45:51
That's That's I I like it because so I'm assuming so we can assume that you all have discussed this plan or at least are
45:57
getting what Guehaw is throwing down and like as soon as he tries to resort to violence, our two Imperial officers are
46:04
going to rush out before he causes a problem. Yeah. So have to successfully hit anyone needs to
46:11
lash out. And then we can get TB. You basically just want to like Yeah. And then we can get TB to order the
46:16
Wookie to grab the scrap heap and drag it out of the mine, which be the scrappy heap being me.
46:21
Then we can all Yeah. So yeah. So I think you can grab his uh like you can grab his uh basically your telekinesis
46:28
and just like take a clumsy swing at one of the minor. And it doesn't have to connect. It just boom. I do it.
46:33
It just has to look like he's doing it. Okay. So he does it and this unrest is
46:39
going to turn into a full-on riot. Uh Bl is Blleg is looking at his arm slightly confused first off and is like backing
46:46
away from this crowd of miners. Um so now tell me the next step of your plan.
46:52
I'm grabbing the heap. Okay. So you grab uh you grab Yehaw.
46:58
I just lift him on up. I was playing dead. Yeah. Uh Varin draws his blaster and fires
47:04
over the heads of the miners. And as he does that, he's like, "All right, back
47:11
it up. Back it up. This is over." All right. Uh, okay. So, what are you
47:18
trying to make them back down or are you trying to turn them on you? Uh, he's trying to get them to back away from Bl so that way they can get him cuz
47:25
uh they're the two of them aren't going to be able to fight a whole group of miners that are Yeah. The the the idea is that right
47:31
like and this is where it plays out in my head is that you you guys are doing that. you're getting him out
47:36
and then the other four Imperials that are undercover will start like taking care of the miners. They'll be busy with
47:42
that, right? Okay. Uh yeah, that's fine. Uh so I will say give me a blasters roll. Um and the
47:50
result if you succeed at this is you'll basically be able to get the crowd to part enough that the two of you can grab
47:55
Blleg and like rush him off towards his office or wherever. Well, I will be the one
48:01
that has the first bad roll of the run. No, I had the first bad roll. I had the
48:06
first bad roll, sir. Thank you very much. You have the first one of this episode, I think.
48:12
Oh, there we go. Yeah, that was a two. Yeah, that's it. Um, yeah. So, I'm going
48:20
to Oh, I think what happens is you fire this blaster over your head and you have temporarily forgotten that you were in a mine.
48:25
Um, no. you you kind of destabilize something over top of you. Uh Chris, your danger goes up to one and I'm going
48:32
to need you to make a danger roll, which is rolling your dive. You want to get over a one ideally
48:39
four. Four. That's fine. Okay. Uh your danger stays at one, but uh no uh
48:45
nothing nothing bad really happens here. Um
48:50
that would have been that would have been another role where it would have been really good to get a one.
48:56
Yeah, but unfortunately now the crowd is kind of half turning on Blleg and half turning on you. Those crazy imps trying
49:02
to bring the mind down. Uh so you now what what's the next step?
49:08
What's what's somebody else? Somebody else uh what do you do?
49:15
I'm playing dead. I can't do anything. Yep. Uh this would be a good time for Mia uh to do something, I believe.
49:22
Uh, yes. I'm still on uh getting Blleg out of here duty. Um,
49:29
can you trigger alarm? Oh, I see that strip. Can you trigger an alarm?
49:37
That's conveniently conveniently. Uh, let me just check here. Uh, yeah, conveniently no one understood that.
49:44
Yeah, me for your party. Yeah. And also Yehaw doesn't.
49:53
He is Yeha's used to me making weird noises. He thinks I have a broken motivator or something.
49:58
No, I know you're a Wookie. I just don't speak Wookie. I know. I just think it's funny you be like, "You got a broken motivator, son."
50:04
So hard to learn. Um
50:10
h What kind of alarm could I trigger? Well, I mean, he just shot the ceiling, so possibly a safety alarm.
50:17
Uh, but what would that that's going to get everyone if they think the place is collapsing,
50:23
they're going to want to get out more than they're going to want to kill you. But that's just my
50:31
Yeah, it would be easy to get leg out if everyone is trying to get out. That's definitely an option.
50:37
Yes. I'm just going to say quiet, Wookie. And I am going to tap on my data
50:43
pad and see what I can do about uh maybe triggering alarm to where we
50:48
can uh we can all go home. Yep. Definitely going to totally work where we can all just leave. This is
50:53
just going to clock everyone out of work. Uh okay. Yeah. Go ahead and give me uh give me an intel. It's like that twins things with the
51:00
coyote and the sheep dog. Yes, exactly. And he's like like the whistle blows. It's like everyone clocks
51:06
out, shakes hands, and walks out of the mine. Yeah. Yeah. No. Uh yeah, you can do that. Um, go ahead. Give me an int roll. Yes, you
51:12
can roll it at advantage.
51:17
That's two twos. Two twos. That was a success. Yeah, it's it's not too hard um to So,
51:24
you had the uh what they code cylinders from the stormtroopers on hand still.
51:30
It's very easy to kind of tap into the uh the the network of the mine and yeah, you just you set off uh almost
51:37
immediately enough that it's not suspicious. You managed to set off the uh a alarm, a alarm, jeez, an alarm,
51:46
and the miners immediately look around and you're like, "Holy crap, he completely destabilized it." And
51:52
everyone uh just starts booking it for the door. Ble sidles up to you all all
51:58
gries, get me out of here. It's not safe anymore thanks to you.
52:05
Okay. Yeah. I'm just gonna fall in at one side of him and say,
52:11
actually, I'm not gonna say anything. I'm a stoic imperial drone.
52:17
Stoic Imperial drone. Love it. Okay, so I'm actually acting lot like I'm not
52:22
with them at all, but I'm just pulling the the droid out with me. Yeah, you're uh Yeah, you're dragging
52:28
the deactivated mining droid. The I don't think I have to drag him. Mike, I can just carry him. Okay,
52:33
that's nice of you actually to not drag your friend along the ground. Yeah. Uh TB is TB and the two imps Imperials
52:40
are uh escorting Blake. Where do you where do you all want to take him? Like you've you can pretty much steer him
52:46
wherever at this point as long as he's not uh about to be, you know, attacked by rioting miners.
52:53
How how how deep into the mine are we right now? Why don't we Not very not very far. He's got he's got to have an office or
52:59
something, right? Yeah. Yeah. Uh, I'd say if you press him for it, Blake's like, "My office." He he'll
53:05
steer you towards an office that's uh it's kind of outside and like basically if you go out of the entrance and turn
53:11
right, he has kind of a uh almost like a trailer out there. That's his office. You get him in there, shut the door, and
53:17
then uh you know, incapacitate him and then go through his stuff. If if
53:22
General's going to be anywhere, he's going to know where it is or he's going to have a record of it. That's my That's my guess.
53:30
Sounds good. Uh, is one of you watching your tail as you split off from this
53:35
crowd to literally literally Let's just be upfront. This is what's
53:41
happening. You all saw Empire Strikes Back. He's strapped to my back. I'm walking
53:46
forward. ET is behind me. That's That's what it is. That's perfect. It does let uh Yehaw do
53:54
watchdog duty. Yep. E-haw, give me an intel roll at advantage or excuse me, an intel save at
53:59
advantage at data. You mean they're data? Yes. Sorry. Uh thankfully with advantage I got a two
54:06
and a four. Four would have been a fail. All right, perfect. Uh yeah, as you're
54:11
So everybody is kind of going in one direction until you get out of the mine and then all of you all are kind of
54:16
heading off in one direction towards Bleg's office. Uh, ye-haw, you are very able to see four what look like ordinary
54:24
miners also split off from crowd and start trying to inconspicuously follow you towards Bl's office. Um, the four
54:32
troopers that you know are embedded here. Are there any really noticeable stagmite, stagtite or unstable rock
54:39
formations above their heads or in between us? Um, I would say not at this point
54:44
because they don't peel off until you're outside. Okay. Are they
54:50
over the internal coms? I'll I'll chirp I'll chirp that in everybody's comms like in their earpieces
54:56
because I assume we have something akin to that. I can't talk to I can't talk to y'all.
55:02
You can't. But you guys can hear me tell you that the No, no, but I wanted to do something. I
55:07
would tell want to tell you, but you don't understand me. Nope. Sure don't.
55:13
Nope. And we already established that it's canon. I'm going to look to see those boxes that I s I saw as we were coming
55:19
out. How close are they? Like are they nearly to them? They passing them like how how much time do I have here?
55:25
Uh so I mean this is a place where we're filling giant metal crates full of minerals and shipping them out to the
55:30
Empire. I'd say wherever you want there to be a crate for something cool to happen, there is a crate there.
55:36
Yeah. I'm going to basically telekinetically, you know, it's the force. You know what I'm doing? I'm
55:42
gonna like try to grab some boxes and just pull like make it look like there's a shaking somewhere and just topple them
55:49
down. Try to like scatter them in front. Not to kill these guys. I'm not even trying
55:55
to attack them with them. Just to make it harder for them to follow because they're going to have to react to these crates smashing into the ground in front
56:01
of them. Okay. Yeah. Go ahead and give me a blasters roll. And I believe I heard telekinesis was involved. So, uh,
56:07
rolling with advantage. Okay. Uh, I rolled two eights, which
56:12
we're in twilight. Yes, we are in twilight. So, I need to justify how this could
56:17
possibly work. Yeah. So, the way that this works is it
56:23
um I can give you a success on this, but I think it will either shift the balance
56:30
or give you a danger. I'll leave it up to you which one you do. I don't currently have any danger, so I can take one danger and then I have to
56:37
roll above that. Yes, equal or above or equal would be your best roll.
56:44
I rolled a one. So that's above. So one is so you take one and then roll
56:49
and then that's actually equal. So what happens is you clear all your danger. So you clear your one danger immediately uh
56:56
with a dramatic move called the clutch. And the clutch clears all your danger and you get to take an action that
57:02
succeeds as if you had spent your star. So, what I was going to do if this was an ordinary success was I was going to
57:07
have you roll for effect to see how well this like how well this works, how many of them you catch off guard. Um, since
57:14
this works as if you spent your star, I think this just works exactly how you want it to. You walk past these crates,
57:20
you kind of see them up ahead of you, you kind of have them like shake a little bit as you walk by, and then as these guys pass, like they just fall
57:28
right in, fall right over these guys. I I think rather I think you actually catch them in the crates. They are
57:33
upside down in these these metal crates. Um Blake turns around and just like jumps. He's like, "Holy crap, those
57:40
guys." And he just starts running for his office at this point.
57:46
All right. Uh but those those guys are temporarily off your tail. I mean, Blake's office, they know where
57:52
it is. They probably once they get out, they'll head that way. But at least they're not currently following us. Yeah, you've got a few minutes because
57:58
they don't have the ability to telekinetically lift these heavy metal boxes off of themselves.
58:05
turn to I turn to E-ha and try and explain what I just did. He of course doesn't understand any of it.
58:15
Yeah. In a very low voice, I still don't understand you, you idiot. [Laughter]
58:21
So, he goes so you all around the corner. Um, and yeah, it's literally just like it almost looks like a giant
58:27
converted shipping container that he's just turned into a trailer plague barrels into this office. And I assume
58:32
you all are hot on his heels. And uh, what happens next?
58:41
I think the moment that we enter the office um, when Baron steps in, he's just like,
58:50
"Are you okay?" Well, I was until you started a riot and tried to bring the police down on us.
58:56
What are you thinking? You must be new here. What's your name? Uh, well, what I'm thinking. And Barn's
59:04
got a gun in his hand. What are you doing? I'm thinking you're going to give us
59:10
some information or else I'm going to shoot you in the face. I'm going to I'm on your Wait a minute.
59:19
That's right. You've been bamboozled. I've been flumxed. [Laughter]
59:26
All right. Just don't don't There's no need to get violent. I come in with you point and put your
59:32
e-haw down. Yep. The door slams shut behind you guys. And I would like So everybody is now crowded in this
59:38
trailer. You would like to seal the door open or or lock it or whatever so that when the the the four come over,
59:44
it doesn't actually have a ceiling system. It does have a lock. Okay. You're not like welding the door shut. Okay. No. Yeah. You uh you you
59:51
just kind of hop out of the out of uh the backpack uh like harness that you've been carried on and just immediately
59:57
lock the door behind you. Blake's like, "All right, all right. No need to get violent. I can see when I've been had
1:00:03
what do you need to know?" Immediately search him for any communication devices, any hidden buttons, anything like that, and make
1:00:09
sure that he can't get to it. Yep. Ooh. Give me an intel roll with advantage for your watch dog edge.
1:00:15
That's a three. That is a success. Uh you don't find anything on Blleg. Um you do find that
1:00:23
on his desk next to the uh old looking Imperial, excuse me, the old looking
1:00:28
corporate mining computer is a shiny new Imperial uh communications unit uh with
1:00:34
a conspicuous red light on top. I I point that out to to Liz's
1:00:40
character. I'm gonna float it over to Liz. Okay. Blake's like, "What? What are you
1:00:47
What are you doing? What are you doing with my new comm unit? I I've got to check it for messages.
1:00:53
What's uh What are you doing with my new comm unit?
1:00:58
Communicating. What do you think I'm doing? Uh Mia, give me an intel roll.
1:01:05
At advantage. Sure. Would you like to roll everything at
1:01:11
advantage by justifying it as spy duty? Well, this is a spy thing to be fair. This is very spy that we kind of played
1:01:17
directly at either spy. Yeah, we have. But I rolled two twos and either of those would have been a
1:01:23
success. That's true. Uh so one thing you find is that it is listening right now
1:01:28
and recording. I'm I'm going to turn that off. Click the uh conspicuous red light turns
1:01:35
off. Uh would you also like to wipe any recordings while you're in there? I
1:01:41
would, but I would the f the first minute or so of this the first minute or so of this whole
1:01:47
encounter is probably recorded in there. I I would like to see if there are any previous recordings
1:01:53
that might be of interest. Also, is it transmitting? Uh, no question.
1:01:58
It it is not transmitting at this time. It is just recording. Um, you the system is set up so that it records
1:02:06
and then transmits on a set schedule. Make sure this is not on there.
1:02:12
All righty. And I believe you said you were checking for anything else interesting while you're doing that. Yes.
1:02:17
Uh, okay. So, we'll have you rummage through in a sec. We'll cut back to everybody who's actually interrogating Blumaging
1:02:25
through his stuff. Digitally. Uh, what's uh So, Von's going to make
1:02:32
gunpoint. Ye-haw. Are you doing anything? I walk up I walk up to him and I I very casually grab one of his hands.
1:02:40
Where's Jenro? I I I don't know. He He quit. How am I
1:02:46
supposed to break where he's at? Uh
1:02:52
and I I immediately put my other hand over his mouth like as as I like
1:02:58
and then I let I Good. I let go of the mouth.
1:03:03
Where's Jinroe? And he kind of muffled. You take your hand out of his mouth.
1:03:09
I let I let it go. Still holding on. He says the he says the amps took him. They thought he was a rebel.
1:03:17
How long ago? About as long as I've been boss here. About about a week or so.
1:03:24
Where' they take them? And he says they've got a base somewhere, but I I don't I don't I don't
1:03:32
know where it's at. I I don't You got four tails assigned to you, son. You know where it is. And I break
1:03:37
another finger, put my hand over his mouth. Another muffled yell. Um he says, "All
1:03:44
right, all right, all right." He's uh doesn't have a whole lot of fingers per hand. Um I know.
1:03:50
Yeah. Uh he says, "Yeah, there's a he got his eyes and he says they built
1:03:56
uh the new guy didn't want to dirty his fancy boots with coming down here on planets, so they they built a base on
1:04:03
Adon, the the only moon uh around." He says it's it you can't really see it
1:04:09
because it's locked to the other side of the planet. But uh yeah, you might have
1:04:14
passed it on your way in and you you'd never known cuz those secret Imperial bases. But uh the rumor is they got him
1:04:20
up there. They're trying to find out trying to find out what he knows. And then uh
1:04:26
please please don't break any more fingers. I I look at everybody else. Anything else we want?
1:04:32
I say we give them to the miners. I have I have an idea.
1:04:38
Mhm. I could perhaps implant something on his computer that looks like he was sending
1:04:45
messages to the Rebel Alliance. Okay. I like that. Go ahead and give me
1:04:50
another intel roll to do it. I think he's pretty distracted while I'm, you know, breaking his finger. So,
1:04:55
yeah, I'm I'm just over here working on Oh, that's perfectly fine. Yeah, you're just He doesn't know what you're doing. You're just rumaging through his commun
1:05:02
digitally. So, this is a This is a side of E-Haw you guys have not seen before. Nope. Workers rights.
1:05:10
Three. That works. Yeah. So, you uh you managed to replicate a weaker a weaker
1:05:16
broken version of uh the Republic security keys and you send like a message that you know is going nowhere.
1:05:22
Um but that will obviously get picked up uh by cuz you know it gets routed out
1:05:28
through Aon Bas's uh network at this point. And what what do you want to what do you want to say in the message?
1:05:35
I I want to make it sound like he was trying to incite a riot in order to disrupt Imperial shipping and resources
1:05:42
and that he framed Genroe to to take his spot. Perfect like that.
1:05:48
He su he successfully got rid of the previous uh previous director and now
1:05:53
he's starting a riot to make sure the Imperials don't get this planet.
1:06:00
Perfect. He's always been the guy this whole time. I know. It was him the whole time. It was Greg.
1:06:06
It was Greg. Uh, yes. So, you Yeah. You don't find So, while looking, I did say
1:06:12
we'd get back to you. You don't find anything more informative than what he's been able to give you, but you are
1:06:18
successfully able to plant this message. And yeah, anybody who follows up on this
1:06:23
trail, even a little, will make it look like uh yeah, it looks like Blake's been the guy all along. Mhm.
1:06:29
Um, which will definitely get the heat off Genro if you can find him. I see. Uh, which, uh, you do know now that he
1:06:37
is, uh, I said, they seem to be holding him in a base on Adon, the Soul Moon of
1:06:43
Salient 2. Uh, so really the only real question left is what do you all want to do with uh, Bleg? I believe I heard a
1:06:50
turn him over to the miners. Yes, we could also
1:06:56
I'm all for this. We can also just knock him out and leave him here and he's just going to get his just desserts
1:07:01
regardless. Well, maybe he's Don't forget he's still got the four the four the four whatchamacallits tied to him. So
1:07:08
hopefully hopefully they'll get pulled or take him. But yeah.
1:07:15
Yeah. If there if there's not if there's not a to guard, you know, they have a lot less authority.
1:07:24
All right. Uh, so I think uh, Varn, tell me uh, tell me what it looks like as you
1:07:29
uh, drag this uh, this Gammorian with his two broken fingers back outside and
1:07:34
turn him over to the angry crowd that's gathered outside waiting to find out how Bleg intends to solve this problem with
1:07:41
mine collabs. Oh, well, I think uh, as they Hold on, wait a minute. Does Van already
1:07:48
doing it? Oh, no. Go ahead. I just think it would make more sense if I did it.
1:07:54
They saw me get forced to mine. Also, you're still dressed as an
1:07:59
Imperial officer. Yeah, that's true. You may want to change.
1:08:05
Yeah, you might want to change your uniforms. That's fine. We can say we can say you had your stuff in like uh those little
1:08:10
while you guys are getting undressed from Imperialness, I'll like hoist his ass up. Sorry. and uh just you know I'll
1:08:19
go out the door yell some stuff in your tri that no one's going to understand and throw him to the crowd.
1:08:25
Yep. No one understands a word you say except you know maybe the uh no the the
1:08:31
one the one the one person who understands you isn't here but they understand uh Bleg being roughed up and
1:08:37
turned over and I think we will cut away from what the crowd does there and uh that will be it episode two of Rebel
