Paladave <of the Queue> has been leveling a new mage,
Ammariss... and has run into a bit of a conundrum where it comes to draenei disguises. "Ammariss is leveling as a Fire Mage, which I've never done before, so it's fun and educational. But as it turns out, I'm learning more than just how to fish for crits," explains Paladave.
"I've learned just how much (or rather how little) mud it takes
to fool an orc into thinking a draenei is one of his own race. What surprised me more, however, was the fact that all the mud basically does is cover one's face! I know the game engine has the ability to actually change our entire appearance for the purposes of disguise quests, so I really wondered why it was that a simple mask was considered sufficient in this particular setting. After taking a few SELFIE's though, I realised something about poor, dear
Quartermaster Kaoshin. He appears to have suffered at least partial vision loss due to a pair of precise head wounds directly over each eye. I've no idea if he's completely blind or not, but it does explain a few things!"
