With all the various gnolls, demons, bandits and various monster-types roaming Azeroth, it's no wonder that no one wants to do the farmwork anymore. A local farmer, looking for a a magical solution to his labor shortage, had a gnome arcanist duplicate the one man willing to work for him. Unfortunately, just like in that Treehouse of Horror episode, each clone was successively stupider. Eventually, the seven clones took to wandering aimlessly through a field, and became easy prey for a few passing orcs who hadn't eaten since leaving Orgrimmar.
