Submitter Mashaad of Decoden (EU-A) writes, "Mashaad growled in anger, looking around to see if there were more of the kvaldir climbing onto the ship, but it appeared this one had been the last. The incursion of the strange underwater vrykul had been unexpected and the small Argent Crusade group sent to investigate the report of kvaldir sightings had nearly been overwhelmed.
Why had they made an incursion now? The Lich King was years dead, and they could have made a move earlier if they wanted to grab some land after the Scourge's loss of its leader and driving force. And why at Hrothgar's Landing? This far north of the Icecrown glacier there was only ice and some vrykul fishing huts on the islands dotting the freezing North Sea. And if they don't want land, why bother attacking land-dwellers at all?
On top of that, none of them remained alive to question. Mashaad hated mysteries. Also, the kvaldir were creepy, even more so in death as they fell apart into seaweed with a tang of arcane energy lingering in the air."
