"The Broken Isles are not the happiest place to live," writes submitter
Ammariss of the Queue on Nesingwary (US-A). "It would be a tough call as to which zone is the most troubled, but of them all I feel that the portions of Val'shara infected by the Nightmare are the creepiest. The forest sprites in the uninfected areas are creepy cousins of the Podlings on Draenor, but recently while I was trying in vain to keep the Nightmare from spreading, I came across a recently corrupted Night Elf town. Behind one of the houses I found this scene and it made me wonder.
Were these unfortunate souls dumped here
before the Nightmare took hold, or did they precede it somehow? Skeletons are not exactly a rare find, but skulls with flowers in their mouths suggest at something more sinister even than mere murder. Were they victims of a demonic ritual or a secret Warlock coven? Is there perhaps an elven serial killer still on the loose? Or maybe there's an Archaeologist out there with a weird sense of humour and an interest in things less than 'ancient'. Though I suppose the bones of some still living elves actually predate humans and Vrykul altogether.
Or, perhaps like the question 'How many licks does it take to get to the centre of a Conjured Mana Lollipop?', we'll never know!"
