"I got a letter from a Fevered Explorer at some point when I was leveling, around 105, and I briefly looked for him," writes submitter
Hindsight of Know Your Horde on Nesingwary (US-H). "But the cave I was looking in had too many high level mobs for my Mage to handle, so I gave up pretty early on. I've been 110 for weeks now, and was doing a world quest in the area, so I decided to look it up on Wowhead and see exactly where this guy was. Apparently he was on top of the mountain. Huh.
Anyway, it looks like a tree grew over his head while he was waiting on me to show up with the First Aid supplies, but he still hopped right up after I treated his fever. I was a little disappointed, honestly. I think it would have been a good lesson in clearing out my quest log if he had been dead when I got there, maybe with a note on his corpse listing all the quests I prioritized over saving his life. ("Really? Test of Strength at the Darkmoon Faire? Shame on you ... SHAME!") As long as this time limit isn't applied to main quest lines, anyway. Sorry, Illidan, those Lingering Soul Fragments will just have to stay in my bags another few months until I get around to gathering the rest of them. These squirrels and nuts aren't just going to collect/kick themselves."
