"Back before the Cataclysm and the remaking of Azshara by the Goblins and the Horde, there was this quest line which took you way off the southeast corner," writes submitter Gimmlette of Spectacular Death on Llane (US-A). "I think it was Alliance only, but I could be wrong. I did it on two Alliance toons before it was removed. There was a Dwarf who stood next to this landing pad. The land mass in the background wasn't there, and the only way, pre-flying, to get here was to swim. You couldn't see this rock from the shore, so you struck out, through fatigue waters, and hoped you didn't die before you got here.

I remember you were collecting things for the Explorer's League in the Hall of Explorers in Ironforge. It was one of those optional quest lines, but it was a lot of fun and gave good experience. Plus, it took you to a zone a lot of people ignored. I wonder if the devs will ever use this again. I have a couple of ideas for re-purposing it, and only one involves hitting a target."
