Tavern Watch Plays See You Space Cowboy, episode 2: Hot dog pratfalls and Cybertruck demolition
May 4, 2026
Hot on the trail of some scumbag NFT and crypto traders (aka their latest bounty targets), the Tavern Watch team lays an ambush for their bounty in this week's episode of See You Space Cowboy on our TTRPG actual play podcast. What follows is one of the most chaotic fight sequences we've ever had; shots are fired, a few people get knitting needled, there's a mishap with a hot dog, and it all ends with Jen riding on top of the same Cybertruck she's demolishing -- and that's not even including following these chumps back to their home base.
Joe Perez as our GM somehow manages to direct all this chaos in a cohesive direction; meanwhile, the rest of us doing our best to cause trouble are:
Trish Olson as Kit Brooksfield, who's all brains, a little cool, and maybe some kind of hacker (but for all the right reasons!)
Chris Chesno as Colt Sterling, a hard-smoking, hard-bitten hot dog and gunplay enthusiast
Joan Albright as Veronia Graves, a former housewife whose bad run-in with the law now has her on a mission
Liz Harper as Jen, who is definitely not the crew's kleptomaniac
Phil Ulrich as Luke Navarro, a brick wall of a man who's ostensibly the ship's captain but mostly the team dad
This is the second in a three-part actual play series of See You Space Cowboy; the first part is here, and new episodes come out every Monday! You can also pick up a copy of See You Space Cowboy yourself on Tidal Wave Games' itch.io page; it's only five American dollars to bring all this fun to your own table!
The intro and outro songs for this episode are both by Phat Phrog Studios; the intro is "Mech Imperium," while the outro is "The Pain Unwritten."

Hello, space cowboy. Hello boys and
0:30
welcome back to Tavern Watch plays CU
0:33
space cowboy where we follow wonderful
0:36
outlaws and doing random stuff here on
0:39
this tabletop game. I am your TV show
0:44
host Joe Perez and I am joined by a
0:47
wonderful cowcade of miscreants. Uh
0:51
starting us off we have Trish otherwise
0:52
known everywhere on the internet as
0:53
Awkwardish Panda.
0:55
>> Hi that's me. Thank you for having me on
0:57
again. Uh, I'm Trish, awkward as Panda.
0:59
Uh, I am playing Kit Brooksfield. She's
1:02
our uh kind of androgynous, very tall,
1:05
very skinny, very cute, not at all
1:08
helpful in this situation hacker that is
1:10
just feeling very out of place at the
1:12
moment and is wondering what the heck
1:14
she's got to do next.
1:17
>> Next on our list, he loves hot dogs as
1:19
much as he loves cigarettes. Uh, Chris,
1:22
who are you playing?
1:25
Well, thanks Joe. [sighs] Uh, I am
1:27
playing Colt Sterling. Uh, the man, the
1:30
myth, the the the hot dog legend.
1:34
>> The hot dog legend himself. Uh, next on
1:38
our list, she is deadly with a pair of
1:39
knitting needles as she is with an
1:41
actual knife. Uh, Joan Albbright, who
1:43
you playing?
1:45
>> I'm playing Veronica Graves. She goes by
1:47
V.
1:51
And then following it up with uh our
1:54
wonderful sticky fingered accomplice in
1:56
all things uh Liz Harper. Who are you
1:58
playing?
2:00
>> Uh hello. I am Jen. Just Jen. She's a
2:02
totally normal averageel looking person
2:06
who's definitely not about to slit
2:08
someone's tires. [laughter]
2:11
>> And then rounding us out with big dad
2:13
energy is Phil. Who are you playing?
2:16
>> I am playing Luke Navaro, who is
2:18
literally big and also has big dad
2:20
energy. is about to big dad some fools.
2:22
[laughter]
2:24
When last we left off, our fine
2:27
cavalcade of outlaws had been
2:29
essentially at the end of their
2:31
financial barrel. Uh needing more money
2:34
in order to fuel the ship as well as get
2:37
some uh extra provisions to make sure
2:39
that they could go wherever they needed
2:40
to go without eating necessarily just
2:41
rations. That wonderful space lobster
2:44
isn't going to buy itself after all. Uh
2:47
they received word through our wonderful
2:49
television program that dictates what
2:51
bounties are available every single day
2:54
that the most nefarious of the nefarious
2:57
bounties were available. Uh the crypto
3:00
bro and NFT salesman by the name of the
3:04
NFT hound a person who uh really the
3:08
only thing more illegal in series and in
3:11
CU space cowboy than actual human
3:13
trafficking is cryptocurrency and NFTts.
3:16
Uh because well, yes, they really
3:18
clearly are. Uh then we our our
3:22
wonderful group of outlaws w up uh going
3:25
to one of Colt's contacts uh who
3:27
happened to be an information broker
3:29
over on the strip. Found out that their
3:31
mark, the person that they're going
3:32
after, has a uh entourage of three other
3:35
individuals that are just as wonderful
3:37
as they are. uh as well as being people
3:40
who frequent the Get it Mart, the CU
3:43
Space Cowboys equivalent of 7-Eleven, uh
3:46
and do things that are unspeakable, like
3:48
actually eat the uh sandwiches outside
3:52
the middle of a uh vending machine,
3:55
which I mean, what kind of trash human
3:58
does that? These trash humans, they were
4:01
able to figure out which Get It Mart was
4:03
going to be their next one that they
4:04
were going to be frequenting. uh decided
4:06
to have a little bit of a a stakeout.
4:08
Spent a few hours milling around, wait
4:10
for them to show up, and show up they
4:11
did. Uh in their cyber truck, blasting
4:15
uh spaceship noises instead of regular
4:17
engine sounds because spaceship noises
4:19
are, and I'm going to air quote here,
4:21
cool. Uh blasting EDM music and being
4:24
absolute terrors to the clerk and
4:27
everyone involved. When last we left,
4:30
uh, Luke had made themselves known, uh,
4:32
and was going to offer an alternative to
4:35
cryptocurrency.
4:37
Take us away.
4:39
>> Oh. Uh, yeah. So, when one of them turns
4:41
around to see what I'm talking about,
4:42
I'm going to say, "Oh, the thing you can
4:43
catch is these hands, and I'm going to
4:45
attempt to knock him out." [laughter]
4:49
>> All right. Well, why don't you go ahead
4:50
and uh, Luke, I believe that is going to
4:53
be a muscles, and you are going to be
4:55
getting into a fist fight or knock
4:56
someone out. Knock someone out is what
4:57
you're going for, right?
4:58
>> Yeah, I'm going for knock someone out.
5:00
Uh,
5:00
>> all right, let's let's make that roll.
5:02
>> Do I get a bonus because my talent is
5:03
catch my muscles talent is catch these
5:05
hands.
5:06
>> Yes, you get a plus I think it's a plus
5:07
one modifier. I
5:08
>> think it's a actually it's a d4 for
5:10
talent. But
5:11
>> is it a d4?
5:12
>> Yeah, talents are good if you can get
5:13
them. Gear is flat bonuses, but since
5:16
I'm trying to knock him out, not get a
5:18
fist fight, my brass knuckles don't
5:19
apply.
5:23
Four and five is a nine.
5:28
That is a mixed success. So let's see
5:31
here. How is this going to be a mixed
5:33
success?
5:38
Uh so in this particular case and knock
5:40
someone out, it's they notice that you
5:42
were about to attack them. Maybe you
5:44
shouldn't have announced yourself. Uh
5:45
and they instead get to attack you
5:48
first. So you need to make a reaction in
5:51
order to avoid this essentially is what
5:53
it boils down to.
5:55
Okay.
5:56
>> So, this is going to be a a dodge, dip,
5:59
duck, dive, and dodge. [laughter]
6:01
>> Oh, no. I'm bad at the
6:04
U. That's fine, though. Uh, so what are
6:06
they doing? Are they like pulling a
6:07
knife on me? Somebody got a gun?
6:09
>> No, he's going to try to call.
6:11
>> We're just going to fist fight. All
6:12
right,
6:12
>> for for the for the sake of flavor, uh,
6:15
it is uh casting that you uh wind up
6:17
walking up behind and throwing the first
6:19
punch because thematically it is
6:20
appropriate that the muscle head and the
6:22
muscle head are facing off with each
6:23
other. that jerk. Uh well uh I'm gonna
6:26
get an eight on a d8. So uh that is
6:29
another I believe mixed success. Let me
6:31
just double check the main book here. Uh
6:34
you hesitate stumble. You are going to
6:36
wind up taking a wound. Uh so both of
6:38
you wind up taking a wound. So you're
6:40
going to go ahead and mark a wound on
6:41
your sheet. Um should be fine here. Uh
6:44
it doesn't really matter until you uh
6:46
hit four wounds.
6:49
All right, that is our first action out
6:50
of the way as uh Casoli tries to
6:52
coalcock you with a very English
6:54
uppercut all uh AEW/Ring of HonorWWE
6:59
style. Uh you stumble back, you get a
7:02
little bit of a [ __ ] a cocoa onto the
7:04
chin with your fists as he gets his
7:06
forearm right up under your arm uh your
7:08
your neck as well. Uh so next up, who's
7:12
up?
7:17
I hear fighting start inside, but I
7:19
still just want to slit the tires on
7:21
their escape vehicle.
7:24
You know, maybe maybe just because I
7:26
really really want to slit the tires on
7:27
this car, but also I'm sure it's a
7:29
practical move to keep them from getting
7:30
away.
7:32
>> Okay. Uh so that is going to be brake
7:35
stuff, I believe. Let me just double
7:37
check what that is going to be under.
7:42
Uh I think it's going to be a moves for
7:43
you.
7:44
Okay,
7:51
that's not good. That's a five. I think
7:53
a five is maybe the lowest partial
7:56
success.
7:57
>> It is.
7:58
>> Oh, but I have a but I I have a knife,
8:01
so I think that would give me a plus
8:02
one, but that's still that's that's not
8:04
much.
8:05
>> Uh no, I don't think it still puts you
8:07
in the mix success range. Again, uh for
8:09
those at home,
8:10
>> these types of systems uh are designed
8:13
so that most things wind up in
8:15
>> uh when you average out the dice rolls,
8:17
they wind up being in the mixed success
8:19
range. Part of that is because I don't
8:21
get to roll dice. Um it's narratively
8:24
more interesting if there's adversity uh
8:27
and things that give you the opportunity
8:30
for essentially me to add complications
8:33
to the scenes. Uh otherwise, if all the
8:35
characters were good at everything all
8:36
at once, you would have a very short
8:38
game session with very little uh reward
8:41
for doing well. Um and there are things
8:43
that you can do to offset this. Uh such
8:46
as like uh Phil's character Luke having
8:48
talents that allow you to do things like
8:49
add D4s, uh items that give static
8:52
bonuses up to plus three depending on
8:54
how good they are and the quality they
8:56
are, and other things as well, such as
8:58
adding your help to another person's
9:00
action if it narratively makes sense.
9:03
While it does raise the success range,
9:05
um it can make narrative se sense for
9:08
people to uh essentially uh jump in and
9:12
make those roles. It encourages
9:15
collaboration in the efforts that you
9:17
make. Uh so go ahead and at this point
9:20
you've you take out the knife uh and you
9:22
stab through one of the tires and you
9:25
get through all four of them. Uh and
9:27
that's when you realize that they are
9:29
essentially run flat tires. Um, they
9:32
will they will be reduced in speed,
9:35
which means that they will be easier to
9:36
track. And anybody who's ever driven on
9:39
run flat tires that have been punctured,
9:41
it sucks. It is the worst possible ride
9:44
you can ever be in in your life, there
9:46
is no cushion. Uh, and this kind of it's
9:49
a cyber truck. Its suspension is already
9:51
garbage. So, they're in for uh the the
9:55
most annoying of potential rides and an
9:57
easier time for you to track them uh
9:59
should something of that nature happens.
10:01
>> You know, that was just so satisfying to
10:04
do, though. So, I feel like that was a
10:06
full success even though
10:09
>> even though I haven't stopped the car,
10:10
it's an I feel like I feel a big
10:12
emotional win here.
10:15
>> Yeah. Uh okay. So, that is Luke. That is
10:19
Jen. Who's next?
10:24
Um, so Colt hears things popping off
10:27
inside. Uh, and he's still sitting
10:30
outside.
10:31
Uh what I'm going to say is uh he's he
10:35
glances in through the doors and sees
10:38
what's going on
10:41
and kind of steps back
10:43
and off to the side figuring
10:47
unless somebody inside is drawing a gun,
10:51
there's it's dangerous, but they're also
10:54
here on a job and they're all adults. So
10:58
he steps uh kind of out of the way and
11:01
draws his weapon and leans against the
11:04
side of the building waiting for them to
11:06
come out. I think this would fall under
11:08
a read a situation so you can sense how
11:11
dangerous, tense, or otherwise difficult
11:13
the situation is before you make that
11:15
decision of whether or not you're going
11:16
to get involved.
11:19
>> So yeah,
11:20
>> I think that makes perfect sense.
11:23
>> It's a cool role. Yes,
11:25
>> it is a cool roll, which because you are
11:26
a chain smoking monster, you get plus
11:29
one on that.
11:30
>> Hooray.
11:32
If I could find my d10 again. You know,
11:34
you'd think that I would have it in an
11:36
easy to find place. [laughter]
11:39
There it is.
11:40
>> You'd think
11:42
>> seven.
11:43
>> Uh that is
11:44
>> actually plus one.
11:47
>> Uh it could be one of several things is
11:49
what it really boils into. Uh it's very
11:52
likely that you are correct. It is not
11:54
essentially a super dangerous situation
11:56
yet. Uh these guys definitely come
11:58
across as dweebs. Uh they don't exactly
12:02
strike you as the most dangerous of
12:04
people. Uh but that could change in a
12:06
moment's notice. So you're on edge.
12:09
We'll put it that way.
12:11
But you can proceed. It hasn't quite
12:13
boiled over yet. Uh that leaves us uh V
12:16
and Kit.
12:20
I think I'm gonna wait. Go ahead.
12:22
>> Would see dad mode go into the let me
12:26
chill here for a minute and would do
12:28
exactly what he did. But she really
12:31
doesn't actually know what she's doing
12:32
in a fight.
12:35
>> Okay.
12:35
>> Doesn't usually get into them very
12:37
often. So she would be like, "Yeah, let
12:38
me pull my gun out and just wait here."
12:41
>> So I think that would be a Rita
12:42
situation for you as well.
12:44
>> And that's under cool.
12:46
>> Under cool, right? Okay. Okay. So,
12:47
that's a d10.
12:51
He'll do. Let's see where we go with
12:53
this. And I get a plus one cuz smoking,
12:56
right?
12:57
>> Yep. It is a cool. [laughter]
12:58
>> That's a five
13:00
>> with the plus one.
13:01
>> Uh-huh.
13:04
>> Well, uh, so
13:05
>> I'm doing great, y'all. [laughter]
13:08
>> Uh, but you do have a talent in raid a
13:10
situation, so I believe you do. No,
13:13
that's uh that's Sorry, not all of you
13:15
put your names on it. Yeah.
13:17
Nope. Yeah, we're good. [laughter]
13:21
Um, same thing. You, it seems like it
13:24
could be a more dangerous situation than
13:26
it is. You are uncertain on how to act.
13:28
Uh,
13:29
>> wait, how does juice work again? Cuz I
13:30
have juice. Would that help here or no?
13:32
Or if it's just one?
13:34
>> No. Juice you can expend here and then
13:37
you get to roll the dieice again and add
13:39
it to the first roll.
13:42
>> Not on a partial success.
13:43
>> Oh, not on a partial success. I think it
13:45
Oh, it is only a failure, right?
13:47
>> Yeah, you can use it when you you can
13:49
use it when you completely fail. You get
13:51
to add the numbers, but then if you add
13:52
those numbers to get the second roll to
13:54
the first roll and you still partially
13:56
succeed, then you fail.
13:59
>> You don't have enough. [laughter]
14:01
>> I don't I don't have enough in my juice
14:04
box. I'm sorry.
14:05
>> No, that's okay. Uh I think that it uh
14:10
leaves us with uh with uh V. V is the
14:13
last one to act here in this particular
14:15
moment before we go back to the top of
14:16
the order.
14:17
>> Yeah. So V is going to
14:20
to prepare um
14:24
to stab whoever tries to leave first,
14:26
assuming that of course is the guys
14:29
we're after and not one of us.
14:33
>> Probably
14:34
>> get you close [laughter] to the door.
14:37
>> Um again, I think this is going to be
14:38
one of those uh another Rita situation.
14:41
Uh, but you do have a talent in this.
14:42
So, not only do you get to roll your
14:44
cool, uh, which is a d12, but you get to
14:47
add a d4 to that as well.
14:49
>> Is it cool or brains?
14:51
>> Read a situation is cool.
14:54
>> Oh, I see it there.
14:55
>> It's actually listed on both.
14:57
>> Can Can you pick?
14:58
>> Yeah.
14:59
>> Is it? Oh, no. It is.
15:00
>> Yeah, you could. You could do either. I
15:01
know that.
15:02
>> I'm like, wait, did I do something
15:03
wrong? [laughter]
15:05
>> She's like, no, I could use
15:08
[clears throat]
15:09
>> Let's see.
15:11
I'll do the I'll do the one that I have
15:13
the talent for
15:15
because it's slightly better odds.
15:19
>> We've got a total of four
15:23
>> with the bonus.
15:25
>> Yeah.
15:27
>> Um
15:29
>> twos.
15:30
>> Cool. Uh mark yourself a juice.
15:33
[laughter]
15:35
Uh that is a failure. Um, what does your
15:38
gut tell you in this situation? I I
15:41
think that the gut tells you that these
15:45
guys are highly dangerous, uh, and that
15:48
they need to be stopped sooner than
15:50
later. So, I think you're more compelled
15:52
to act than to sit back.
15:56
>> All right, then. I'm going to go in.
16:01
>> All right. Uh, we'll go ahead and say
16:04
this is going to be a
16:07
I guess getting a bis a fist fight I
16:10
guess would be the best case the par put
16:12
it. So it's either moves or muscles
16:16
which I believe your character
16:19
>> moves.
16:23
All right. So I I guess I'm picking the
16:25
one closest to me to the door.
16:30
And that's another two. Can I If I spend
16:34
this juice, that won't take it all the
16:36
way up to a success, will it?
16:38
>> Uh, to a mixed success,
16:42
>> you have to get a 10 or better total.
16:44
So, you'd have to roll you'd roll all
16:46
your dice involved. So, you you you
16:48
would roll if you have any bonuses or
16:49
benefits like that, you'd roll that as
16:50
well. Uh, but if you're rolling a I
16:53
believe in this case, your moves are a
16:55
d8, you need to hit an eight,
16:58
>> a d10. Uh,
17:00
>> but I got another two. So, my dice like
17:02
twos today.
17:04
>> All right. So, it is a failure because
17:06
you use your juice. You don't get to
17:07
mark juice for this. Um, you're going to
17:10
take a wound as you go to step in and
17:14
stab Casignoli as Luke and and Casagnoli
17:16
are fighting. Uh and then at this
17:19
particular uh juncture uh the blade back
17:22
sheet uh comes in and pulls out a knife,
17:26
deflects your uh knitting needle blades
17:29
uh and gives you a glancing blow in your
17:32
shoulder.
17:37
All right, that brings us back to Luke.
17:41
All right. Uh this clerk asked us nicely
17:43
not to mess up his store. Uh, and I know
17:45
I got friends with guns outside, so I
17:47
kind of want to What role would it be to
17:50
basically kind of take Messi Donley and
17:52
kind of like move him towards the door?
17:54
I don't know if that's like
17:57
he's he's the he's the big guy, so I'm
17:58
not just going to be able to like, you
18:00
know, collar him and carry him out with
18:02
him. I think I'm going to have to like
18:03
lead him that way in a fist fight.
18:05
>> Uh, I think you you're either going to
18:07
be it's either going to be a fist fight
18:08
and this will be an artifact of it like
18:09
you guys are wrestling. Uh, or I could
18:12
see an argument where it would be a lift
18:14
heavy stuff potentially. Um,
18:17
>> yeah,
18:17
>> where in in theory. [laughter]
18:20
>> Uhhuh.
18:21
>> Um, the only difference is you wouldn't
18:22
get to catch these hands on a lift heavy
18:24
stuff.
18:24
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um,
18:29
yeah, I'm thinking that or I'm thinking
18:31
let me try Yeah, I'm going to do that
18:34
cuz I was going to try to briefly sell
18:35
you on uh manipulate someone, but no, I
18:38
think it's funnier if I just try to
18:39
punch him towards the door. Uh, well,
18:41
let's go with lift heavy stuff.
18:43
>> All right,
18:44
>> roll me a D.
18:45
>> Maybe a muscles roll.
18:46
>> All righty.
18:49
My D12.
18:50
It landed on a 10.
18:53
>> That's fantastic. That is at the
18:57
>> at the very least that is a I believe a
19:00
full success. Um, so yeah, you are going
19:03
to go ahead and uh well, you punch,
19:07
kick, or in this case move somebody
19:08
away. Uh, you successfully get Cas
19:11
Mcnoli out of the door.
19:12
>> Yeah, I'm punching him out the door. Oh
19:14
no, your ape's gone.
19:17
[laughter]
19:19
>> As you see, uh, NFT switches his, uh,
19:21
face mask quickly to an ape. APES NEVER
19:24
DIE, MAN.
19:26
>> OH, BOY.
19:28
>> All right, that's Luke. Next up,
19:33
is he going through the door? I'd say
19:36
yes on a success. That was uh if that
19:38
was Luke's intention. I believe he is
19:40
through the door.
19:40
>> Yep. My intention was to drive him
19:42
outside where my uh gun having friends
19:44
are all located.
19:48
>> Yeah, I think the moment that uh he
19:51
falls backwards through the door, Colt's
19:53
drawing his weapon and firing. All
19:56
right, get in a firefight.
19:59
That's a under your moves, I believe. A
20:01
d12.
20:02
>> It certainly is.
20:07
Oh, let's see here. The D12. My
20:10
favorite.
20:12
And um that, my friend, is an 11.
20:18
>> All right. Well, winds up.
20:21
>> Sorry, I have a handgun. And that's a
20:22
plus one. So, it's a 12.
20:25
>> Uh, this is a rousing success. Uh, not a
20:28
natural 12, so you don't get to mark
20:30
juice. Um,
20:32
so the scene essentially happens where
20:35
uh Luke and Casoli are fighting back and
20:37
forth. They're going toe-to-toe. They're
20:39
going uh completely like beefcake versus
20:43
beefcake. Luke manages to get the upper
20:45
hand. Uh starts essentially sumo
20:48
fighting him outside of the the uh get
20:51
it mart and into the street. And as soon
20:54
as Casnoli pops through the door, Colt,
20:57
who has had his gun ready this entire
20:58
time, uh the camera zooms in on his face
21:02
as he takes a deep drag of the cigarette
21:04
and the shadow is lit by the burning
21:06
embers of the cigarette uh casting his
21:08
face in a devilish red and yellow light.
21:10
Uh, and you don't actually see the
21:12
sequence, uh, aside from any other point
21:15
of view, but you hear the the pull of
21:17
the trigger, the fall of the hammer, and
21:19
a loud crack as the music stops for a
21:23
moment. Uh, and Cassignoli falls to the
21:26
ground.
21:30
Next,
21:33
>> I high five, Colt. [laughter]
21:37
>> All right, back inside. That is uh we
21:41
have Kit and we have Jen.
21:48
>> Uh I'm still waiting for somebody
21:50
[clears throat] to come out.
21:51
>> Yeah, I think we're both still outside.
21:54
>> Mhm.
21:54
>> So, okay. So, you've seen what just
21:57
happened to Cassigoli.
22:00
>> Okay. Um [clears throat]
22:03
>> I have anybody I can point a gun at?
22:06
>> Everybody is still inside as of this
22:08
time.
22:14
I think Kit probably walks in and pulls
22:16
her gun out
22:19
and like
22:24
I don't know. Give me a second cuz I'm
22:26
trying to decide what I want to do cuz
22:27
she wanted to just wait for somebody to
22:28
come outside. She really doesn't want to
22:29
wreck this dude's shop.
22:32
>> Fair.
22:34
I was going to say, would they maybe
22:36
like start heading out now that they've,
22:38
you know, seen their buddy get shot?
22:40
>> There is a there is a key component in
22:42
the encounter that will trigger that and
22:44
we are one one event away from that
22:46
occurring, which is why it depends on
22:47
what you guys do.
22:49
>> Nice.
22:49
>> Um
22:56
Oh, I have an idea. We're both still
22:58
outside,
23:00
>> you and me. I would walk in gun not
23:03
drawn. Hey, somebody's tires out front
23:05
just got slashed. [laughter]
23:09
>> I believe that falls under a manipulate
23:11
somebody.
23:12
>> That works. I can do that. That's a d10
23:15
for me. Not going to roll the same d10
23:18
as last time, though.
23:20
>> It's why you always have spare dice on
23:22
hand.
23:23
>> Uh, that is a six.
23:26
>> Uh, that is a mixed success. Um,
23:30
>> oh wait, no, that is a seven. I mean, it
23:32
still makes a six, but it's a seven
23:34
because smoking.
23:36
>> Uh, NFT looks over at you and, uh, the
23:38
face changes to a a sad armadillo. Um,
23:43
and he just, why would anybody destroy
23:47
such a beautiful piece of machinery?
23:50
Uh, he believes you, but is not
23:53
compelled to move. Uh, simply because
23:56
one, he hasn't noticed his friend got
23:57
shot. Uh, and two, there's still like a
24:00
disturbance going on inside where one of
24:03
his other friends is in combat with one
24:05
of, you know, somebody else here
24:07
already. Uh, he doesn't want to quite
24:09
move outside yet,
24:11
>> but that is that is a mark in the
24:12
column.
24:15
>> The column.
24:15
>> That's my turn. I guess I tried.
24:19
>> Yeah, I really fight. I don't want to
24:21
mess up this guy's store either. Their
24:24
blood stains are so hard to get out of
24:26
tile.
24:30
I
24:30
>> I feel like you're not embracing the the
24:31
the cowboyness of this as much as I
24:33
would have hoping.
24:34
>> Listen, [laughter] I what I am embracing
24:37
here is that I have a cyber truck in
24:39
front of me and a knife and a gun and
24:43
[clears throat]
24:47
would I would I have heard that exchange
24:49
from being out in front of the store
24:50
about the about the
24:53
Yeah, I thought you would. I want to I I
24:56
want to shoot the the the windshield.
25:01
>> All right, go ahead and uh let's
25:03
[laughter] let's I I don't see a reason
25:05
not to. I say go for it. Uh Jen, why
25:07
don't you go ahead and uh get in a
25:09
firefight? I think you have a D12 and a
25:11
you have a pistol, so it's a plus one.
25:15
>> That's a 12. Not a natural 12, but with
25:18
a plus one. I want to shoot the
25:19
windshield and yell, "And also your
25:22
windshield is busted."
25:24
[laughter]
25:26
>> Okay. Uh yeah, you you haul off. You
25:29
actually get on the hood of the cyber
25:31
truck because f this machine. Uh you
25:35
take out your your handgun. Uh it's like
25:38
Beretta. It's not exactly a hand cannon,
25:41
but it's not exactly uh the tiniest
25:43
thing ever. Uh you unload a clip into
25:46
the windshield, kick it through. Uh that
25:48
windshield is completely toast. The
25:50
inside of the car is also just filled
25:51
with shattered glass because why not? Uh
25:54
and there's this wonderful like
25:56
shattering and tinkling sound uh as as
25:59
it sort of collapses. And also
26:02
surprisingly easier than you thought it
26:04
would be. These things really are pieces
26:06
of junk.
26:07
>> Um
26:08
>> this is this is the most satisfying job
26:10
we have ever had. Guys, we need to find
26:13
other people with Cyber Trucks.
26:16
>> [laughter]
26:17
>> Uh,
26:17
>> I think just to add ump to it, I' I'd
26:19
turn around and look over my shoulder
26:20
and look back at them be like, "O yeah,
26:22
windshield's gone, too."
26:24
>> You mean other cooks with Cyber Trucks
26:26
or just other people?
26:28
>> Yes.
26:29
>> Same difference. [laughter]
26:32
>> Uh, I think that is the last box on this
26:34
clock ticked. Um, and they all look at
26:37
each other inside. Uh, and this is where
26:40
they are going to try to make an escape.
26:42
Um, you are going to get pushed back and
26:46
uh they're going to try to barrel
26:47
through and get into the car and take
26:50
off. Uh,
26:52
>> wait. I'm standing on the car.
26:55
>> Yeah, it's going to be it's going to be
26:57
I'm going to narratively say you can
26:59
jump off.
27:00
>> Um,
27:01
>> but but maybe I I This is a great place
27:04
to be. This sounds very exciting.
27:07
>> We shall see. We shall see. Um,
27:10
[laughter]
27:11
you all get one opportunity to try to
27:13
prevent this before they are in the car
27:15
and we are in a chase sequence.
27:20
>> Try my needle stab again.
27:22
>> Go for it.
27:24
>> All righty.
27:30
H Which one was that? It was uh moves.
27:34
>> Moves in a fist fight.
27:36
>> Yep.
27:38
>> All right.
27:42
uh four.
27:44
>> That is a failure. Uh the blade, you go
27:47
to stab uh the blade backshi here. Uh he
27:50
pushes you off uh as a random screen uh
27:54
face from the wizard uh appears on his
27:58
face because of course it would. Um, and
28:00
he is pushes you back into a display
28:02
full of uh weird milk and milk
28:05
alternatives uh and just takes off
28:08
through the door barreling through uh
28:10
trying to barrel through Jet and
28:11
everybody else.
28:13
All right, that is V uh V's a go. We
28:17
still have Luke, Jen, Colt, and Kit. You
28:20
have one shot.
28:22
>> I'm going to take that shot at whichever
28:23
one of these is the skinniest.
28:26
the skinniest, which is going to be the
28:28
normal one. Uh, he comes barreling
28:30
through the door and tries to slide and
28:32
duck underneath Luke. Um, his face
28:35
currently is projected as the clerk that
28:38
you were talking to earlier. [laughter]
28:40
>> Yeah, I would roll my eyes and grab my
28:42
handgun and just shoot him.
28:44
>> Go for it.
28:45
>> As he's running out the door.
28:49
Uh, that is a
28:52
I'm trying to math.
28:55
Uh, with the handgun, it's plus one,
28:57
right?
28:57
>> It's a plus one on whatever you're
28:58
rolling the die.
28:59
>> It's a seven.
29:01
>> Mixed success. Uh, normally in this
29:03
case, you would both get a wound, but
29:04
I'm going to say that that doesn't
29:05
happen because that's not funny. Um,
29:08
instead, what I think is going to happen
29:09
is, uh, he goes to slide underneath
29:12
Luke, sees you go to pull the trigger,
29:14
uh, and winds up trying to twist himself
29:16
and sprains his ankle. Uh, at the same
29:19
time you go to take the shot, uh, it
29:21
misses, but then kicks up a piece of,
29:24
uh, like ground into your arm. You don't
29:27
take a wound, but man, it really stings.
29:30
Um,
29:32
>> and he's able to to to try to get up and
29:34
try to get in. So, that leaves us uh
29:36
we've had V, we've had uh uh Kit, Luke,
29:42
Colt, and uh Jen. Yeah, I I was I was
29:46
going to ask which one of these was the
29:47
skinniest little twerp, but that
29:49
answered it. Um I'm going to try to
29:50
restrain the normal one so we can ask
29:53
him where the rest of them are heading
29:54
off to.
29:55
>> All right, Luke. I believe that would
29:57
wind up kind of classified as a disarm
30:00
someone or knock someone out.
30:01
>> I was going to go with restrain someone,
30:03
which is under muscles.
30:04
>> Oh, it is under muscles. Yeah, sorry.
30:06
[laughter]
30:07
>> Yep. Uh
30:09
D12, don't fail me now. D12 fail me now.
30:13
That's a two. I'm using my juice. Oh no,
30:16
>> he's using the juice.
30:17
>> And that's at 11 for a total of 13.
30:20
>> Heck yeah. Free son. #sponsored.
30:23
[laughter]
30:24
>> Uh this this twerp of a this trip of a
30:27
man uh goes ahead and uh like tries to
30:30
get up to get into the car and you just
30:32
grab him by the scruff of the neck. You
30:33
you have full control over him.
30:34
>> Yeah, I've got him with the I've got So
30:36
one of Luke's arms is very obviously
30:38
cybernetic and he just grabs this punk
30:40
by the back of the collar with it.
30:41
Hello, sunshine. Let's talk. [laughter]
30:45
>> All right, that leaves Colt and Jen.
30:50
>> Uh, how many are left? Two.
30:56
>> Go ahead, Liz.
30:58
>> Just going to shoot them. The first one
31:00
to approach the car, I'm I'm going to
31:03
shoot him.
31:05
>> Okay. Go ahead and take a shot.
31:07
>> That's It's a straightforward solution
31:09
to a straightforward problem.
31:11
take a shot.
31:12
>> Eight.
31:14
>> Uh, eight falls under mixed success even
31:16
with the plus one.
31:18
>> Um, you take a shot. Uh, you wind up uh
31:21
winging the blade. U, but the blade also
31:24
at that same time uh winds up throwing a
31:26
knife at your direction and takes a uh a
31:28
slice out of your arm as it barely
31:30
grazes you. You each are going to take a
31:31
wound there because I think it's funny.
31:35
>> Worth it.
31:37
Colt, you're the last one up. as your
31:40
resident chaos goblin when the f when
31:43
the final guy comes running out. Uh,
31:46
while you would imagine that Colt would
31:48
have just aimed and shot at him, he had
31:51
one of those hot dogs in his other hand
31:54
and he just whips it so that it hits the
32:00
ground right in front of where he's
32:02
running
32:03
in the hope that in his panic he slips
32:07
on the mustard, ketchup, relish,
32:11
onions, all of that. It's banana peel,
32:14
but make it a hot dog.
32:16
>> I've got a I've got a gun, but what if a
32:18
Pratt fall instead? [laughter]
32:20
>> Yeah, I I don't know what this falls
32:23
under. Go ahead and sell me on a sell me
32:25
on something here, cuz I can't decide
32:27
what this falls under.
32:29
>> It's It's ambush someone under moves,
32:31
baby.
32:32
>> All right, we're ambushing with a hot
32:34
dog. Let's go ahead and roll it.
32:38
Oh, boy. That's a seven.
32:42
Mixed success. He uh so you actually
32:44
wind up getting NFT on his way out. Um
32:48
you you throw the hot dog underneath his
32:50
foot, you aim almost perfectly and he
32:53
stumbles. Uh but unfortunately he
32:56
stumbles directly into the open door of
32:57
the truck.
32:59
O uh and with that everybody is gone.
33:03
Uh, with all of our mixed successes, uh,
33:06
the Blade and, uh, NFT Hound are going
33:09
to leave their friends here and take
33:12
off. Uh, Jen, you're able to dive off
33:15
the hood if you so want. Uh, but they
33:17
are going to take off.
33:22
>> Okay, I'll roll off the hood. I guess
33:24
that's the sensible thing to do.
33:27
>> Jump in the window. Jump in the window.
33:30
>> Yeah, jump in the car with the in Jump
33:32
in the car with the incelss. It'll be
33:33
great. [laughter]
33:36
>> Uh we will we will go ahead and
33:38
narratively say you're able to jump off
33:40
the car without any sort of problem. Uh
33:42
because again, these things are are not
33:44
exactly well built and are, you know,
33:46
the angles that you come off of it are
33:48
are pretty low to the ground all things
33:50
considered. Uh, and they take off
33:52
screeching into the night with their uh,
33:54
tires flopping in the uh, the nightoom
33:58
thump as this car is make still making
34:00
spaceship noises and blasting terrible
34:02
uh, license free EDM music uh, off into
34:05
the night. [laughter]
34:08
And Luke in your grip is the normal one.
34:11
Uh, you guys have successfully uh, taken
34:13
one of them out. Uh, Claudio lays dead
34:17
on the ground in a uh pool of marinara
34:20
sauce as it were.
34:22
Uh, and then the normal ones just like
34:25
sitting there squirming as you've got
34:26
him like you're tall enough that you
34:28
have him lifted up and he's just like,
34:30
you know, the cartoon shows where like
34:32
you pick somebody up by the scrub of
34:33
their neck and they're like swinging
34:34
their arms and kicking their feet.
34:36
>> That's exactly what he's doing.
34:38
>> Perfect. Uh, step one is take off his
34:40
stupid little hat. God, I hate stupid
34:42
little masks. Underneath the mask is
34:44
another mask.
34:47
>> God,
34:48
>> this is just embarrassing.
34:50
>> Where'd your Where'd your little friends
34:51
go? Clearly, they weren't in a big hurry
34:52
to take you with them.
34:54
>> I I'm not telling you anything, fuzz.
34:58
And he goes to reach into his jacket
35:00
where you see he has an Uzi strapped to
35:02
his side.
35:04
>> Oh, just
35:06
>> Oh, man.
35:08
I want to try to punch it out of his
35:09
grip.
35:10
>> That is a disarm someone. Uh, all right.
35:13
I'm gonna roll muscles for it.
35:15
>> Uh, yep. Yes, you can.
35:18
>> Can this be a catch these hands?
35:21
>> I don't think it's a catch these hands
35:22
moment.
35:22
>> Ah, that's fine.
35:27
Uh, nine.
35:29
>> Uh, mixed success. I think he uh he
35:31
manages to get a shot off before you you
35:34
knock it out of his hand. Um, we're
35:36
going to say he
35:40
Where's my dice? I'm going to I want to
35:42
roll dice. Everybody's rolling dice. I
35:44
didn't get
35:48
>> Let's see who gets winged.
35:51
>> I volunteer as tribute.
35:54
>> Well, congratulations cuz I rolled a one
35:55
and you're the first name on the list.
35:56
So, you take a wound.
36:02
>> Yeah. I'm going to punch his gun out of
36:03
his hand. Do I look like the fuzz? I'm
36:05
worse than a fuzz kid. I don't have to
36:07
bring you. In fact, it'd be better if I
36:08
didn't bring you in alive. So, why don't
36:10
you tell me where your little friends
36:11
are headed?
36:12
>> No, you're right. You're not fuzz.
36:13
You're just old. You're just an old guy.
36:15
Look at you. Look at you. You know, you
36:17
can't even You lost even an arm. Huh?
36:19
You don't like What did it do? Wither
36:21
off.
36:23
>> Let me guess. This guy's got a D6 for
36:25
cool.
36:27
>> Yeah, 100%. [laughter] Yeah, it sounds
36:29
like a D4 for brains.
36:30
>> Oh, 100%.
36:33
>> Can I walk up with my handgun and shoot
36:35
this kid in the thigh and get him to
36:36
talk?
36:37
>> Oh, you don't even have to. I got a
36:38
Magnum. [laughter]
36:41
>> Please feel somebody else manipulate
36:43
this little twerp while I'm holding up.
36:44
>> I I was going to say I feel like this is
36:46
going to fall under no matter how you
36:47
flavor it, it's either going to be a
36:48
manipulate somebody or a gather intel
36:50
depending on how you go about it. If
36:52
you're shooting them, uh I think this is
36:54
going to be a manipulate someone.
36:56
>> They both fall under the same thing for
36:58
me and I can't use my bonus talents with
37:00
them because they are who they are. Uh,
37:03
let's do threat first and I'll
37:07
>> The other option is you turn up the
37:09
sexiness to 11 uh and use your sex
37:12
appeal talent to add the D4.
37:14
>> Okay. Well, then I'll do that. I'll
37:16
flirt with him a little bit and I'll
37:18
while put pressing the gun right up next
37:20
to him. Uh, sweetheart, I kind of want
37:25
to know where your friends are going.
37:28
>> All right. You are you are making the uh
37:30
the bedroom eyes at this guy. Uh, go
37:32
ahead and roll that cool check for
37:34
manipulate somebody and add your d4 with
37:36
it as well for sex appeal.
37:37
>> All right, I get a d4 with it. Oo.
37:41
Okay, let's roll all the dice. Uh, there
37:45
we go.
37:47
Oh, that was a good roll. I rolled an
37:48
eight and a three.
37:50
>> So, it's an 11. That's a That's a a
37:52
wonderful success. Um,
37:53
>> it did turn up to 11. Well timed, Joe.
37:56
>> Yeah. Oh,
37:58
>> so
38:00
you you say this very sweetly to him and
38:02
you guys all see uh Kit like turn on
38:05
like the the the dripping sex appeal in
38:07
her voice. Uh and this guy just melts.
38:10
He stops flailing. Um
38:13
>> does he
38:15
>> the Uzi is gone already. Um the camera
38:17
pans up very clearly trying to not show
38:20
something on cable television that it is
38:22
not allowed to show. Um, and he just
38:25
goes, "Uh, oh, oh, you're you're really
38:28
pretty. You you you smell really nice. I
38:33
This is what This is what women smell
38:35
like."
38:35
>> Oh, God. I'm holding this guy as far
38:37
from me as I can. [laughter]
38:39
[ __ ] hour. [sighs and gasps]
38:42
>> I'm not making this up uh totally as I
38:44
go along. Literally, these people are
38:45
creeps in the book in this adventure,
38:47
folks. I I promise you. M uh the they're
38:51
they're probably they're probably
38:52
they're probably going back home. Uh
38:54
they they have a there's a warehouse
38:56
over in the warehouse district. They uh
38:58
that they they have they we we hang out
39:00
there all the time. We got we got lots
39:01
of I could show you my collectibles.
39:03
>> Oh, that would be wonderful. Sweetheart,
39:05
can you give us directions?
39:07
>> And he does. He winds up like there's
39:09
zero hesitation in his in his voice
39:12
anymore. This this man is just like
39:14
adores you. He's staring at you with
39:16
like you if he didn't have another mask
39:19
on, it would be heart eyes. Uh actually,
39:22
as a matter of fact, that's what image
39:24
flashes on the uh the face mask, the the
39:26
holographic face mask, those little tiny
39:28
heart eyes that are pulsing.
39:30
>> Wow.
39:32
Well, aren't you sweet? Can we go now?
39:35
As she's looking at everybody else like
39:37
dead behind the eyes. [laughter]
39:41
Well, you guys you guys definitely uh at
39:43
least have uh a couple bounties you
39:45
could cash in in the meantime while you
39:47
because you know where they are now.
39:49
>> These these guys all they all trade in
39:52
crypto, right? It's not just the NFT
39:53
hound.
39:54
>> They're all wanted. NFT Hound's just the
39:56
most dangerous of them all. So,
39:57
>> okay. So, so they're all worth more dead
39:59
than alive.
40:00
>> They are all worth more dead than alive.
40:01
So, these guys are worth uh 200 double
40:04
dollars alive. Uh Clauddio's already
40:05
dead. He's worth 600 dead.
40:07
>> All right. M
40:09
>> I'm just [clears throat] looking at the
40:10
muscle waiting for a neck to snap.
40:13
[laughter]
40:15
>> That's what I would like to do to this
40:17
little twerp.
40:18
>> Preferably while he's distracted.
40:20
[laughter]
40:21
>> Okay. Um yeah, go ahead and make me a
40:24
roll.
40:26
>> Uh what are we considering this getting
40:27
a fist fight? Kind of.
40:31
>> Uh I mean there's no fight in this guy.
40:33
So
40:33
>> says is is this break stuff?
40:36
>> I think this is break stuff. brake stuff
40:37
feels right.
40:38
>> Yeah.
40:41
Uh and that is a 10 on the break stuff.
40:43
>> Yeah. This guy just you snap his neck
40:45
and he just slumps like his body just
40:48
releases. But there it's not like it is
40:50
the most disturbing like gratified sigh
40:54
escaping from underneath the mask. You
40:57
feel deeply unclean after all of this.
41:00
>> Yeah. No. Immediately Kit's just like,
41:04
"Oh my god, get it away from me. I will.
41:07
I will. Where's the
41:08
>> Oh, god. Where's the closest bounty
41:09
booth? [laughter]
41:11
>> Uh yeah, you guys can take them into the
41:13
authorities. They're not there. There's
41:14
little little stations everywhere. Uh
41:16
you turn in the bodies and the the clerk
41:19
looks at him and goes, "Ah, fast work.
41:21
These were just posted a few hours ago.
41:24
>> Good job."
41:25
>> Yeah. Well, two down, three to go. You
41:27
know, thanks.
41:28
>> Well, here's your uh here's your first
41:31
uh first check. And uh you get 1,200
41:34
double dollars.
41:35
>> Wow. Nice.
41:40
>> It's a good day.
41:42
>> At this point, uh you guys can start
41:44
heading your way over to the warehouse
41:46
district if you want. Again, you know
41:47
where this is now. There is no real uh
41:51
difficulty finding it. You can see
41:52
little bits of cyber truck as you go
41:54
along the way that have fallen off, bits
41:56
of glass, stuff like that.
41:57
>> I'm I'm just looking at this and
41:59
laughing. Can we
42:01
>> Can we report them? Can we report them
42:04
for littering?
42:07
>> They're already on the bounty list.
42:10
>> Oh,
42:12
would that raise the bounty? Because
42:15
also they're
42:16
>> already
42:16
>> They're already They're already at the
42:18
highest bounty for uh for for this
42:20
low-level threat that they can't be.
42:21
>> I had to try. I had to try.
42:24
>> A+ for effort. A+ for effort. [laughter]
42:27
>> You can try to convince when you go to
42:28
turn in the bounty later. You can go
42:29
ahead and try to convince them of that.
42:31
No,
42:31
>> I feel like get that money.
42:33
[laughter] Yeah.
42:34
>> Uh, yeah. Does do some people need to
42:37
get patched up? I only got one wound.
42:38
I'm fine for now.
42:40
>> Uh, I can patch people up.
42:42
>> I can algae.
42:45
>> I can patch people up. Other than
42:47
myself.
42:48
That's a brains roll.
42:51
>> That is a brain roll.
42:52
>> That's a a brains roll. And I have a
42:54
first aid kit.
42:56
>> Uh, which will give you I think first
42:58
aid kit is plus two.
43:00
>> A plus one. Oh, is it?
43:02
>> I don't know. I thought it
43:04
>> I'm double checking.
43:05
>> Okay.
43:08
>> Well, I rolled a six, so I think either
43:11
way, a six is heals one wound.
43:14
>> Yeah, it heals one wound. It's a It's a
43:15
plus one.
43:16
>> Uh so, yeah, you can go ahead and heal
43:18
uh one wound for everybody that you
43:19
you've treated.
43:21
>> Okay, I will I will hit everyone who's
43:24
wounded with uh one less wound. Yeah,
43:27
that makes sense.
43:29
I am also wounded, but you cannot use
43:32
patch someone up on yourself.
43:36
>> That is correct. Would somebody like to
43:37
try to patch uh Jennup?
43:40
>> Uh, which one is that?
43:41
>> I'm just making brains.
43:43
>> That's a brain.
43:43
>> I'm just making sad eyes. I'm helping
43:45
everyone else and not complaining, but
43:47
making sad eyes because there's
43:53
[laughter]
43:55
>> I mean, you don't want me to do it. I
43:57
have a d6 in brains. [laughter]
43:59
>> Yeah,
43:59
>> Colt has a toolbox. I mean, you're not a
44:02
you're you're not
44:03
>> You can try. I don't have anything I can
44:05
add to it, though.
44:07
>> Well, but you have you're you're brain.
44:10
So,
44:12
>> all right. I will attempt
44:17
>> fix stuff.
44:21
>> Just don't fix me like you like you did
44:23
to that computer earlier. A five. That's
44:25
heals one wound. Five. A five heals a
44:27
single wound. We're good there.
44:30
All right. So, everybody
44:31
>> takes me like one of your French
44:32
laptops. [laughter]
44:33
>> Everybody is patched up.
44:35
>> Wow.
44:39
>> All right. Uh so, I'm assuming you guys
44:41
are going to start heading over to the
44:42
uh the warehouse district at this point.
44:46
>> Mhm. Yep.
44:47
>> Seems like the way to go.
44:49
>> Okay.
44:49
>> I bet I bet I could smash that cyber
44:52
truck up some more and that would be
44:56
>> [laughter]
44:56
>> Better than money.
44:57
>> We can pick you up some spray paint and
44:59
a couple of baseball bats on the way.
45:02
>> See, you you guys were not here. It was
45:05
so satisfying. You should try.
45:07
>> I saw it. Looked very satisfying.
45:11
>> All right, you guys.
45:12
>> The shower.
45:15
Uh you guys make your way into the
45:16
warehouse district and it is exactly as
45:18
you would expect to see uh in any old TV
45:21
show uh with the drop of backdrop of
45:24
just you know being in space. Uh
45:27
warehouses dot the various corridors and
45:30
and pathways and walkways and driveways.
45:33
Uh some are are very clearly in use,
45:36
some are uh very clearly disused. and
45:39
you find the one that you were described
45:41
by our heartstricken corpse. Um, where
45:46
it is a looks like a plain
45:49
concrete twostory box. Uh, it is
45:53
surrounded by a 15t high stone wall all
45:56
the way around. Does not have an obvious
45:58
door or gate. It looks like it and I'm
46:01
an air quote solid wall all the way
46:03
around. Uh there does not appear to be
46:06
any obvious windows from where you can
46:08
see and that is where we currently are
46:12
as far as what you can see from outside
46:14
of the facility. You can see a very
46:16
clear set of truck tracks that
46:17
definitely look like they went into a
46:19
wall. Um so you assume that there's some
46:21
form of gate that is blended in with the
46:24
uh the the stone work here.
46:29
How would you guys like to proceed?
46:32
I would like to check for any entrances,
46:34
any entrances other than the obviousish
46:38
one. Um,
46:41
>> uh, yeah, that's a good idea. I have
46:44
security system knowledge under brains
46:49
to just, you know, are there any extra
46:51
doors? Are there any
46:53
do they have a security system? Is there
46:57
anything that we shouldn't be doing
46:58
here?
47:00
Well, let's go ahead and make a roll for
47:02
that. Jen, as you are are starting to
47:05
poke around and seeing if there's any
47:06
obvious uh situational security system
47:10
knowledge stuff. Uh so we're going to
47:12
say that this is going to be a gather
47:14
intel I believe. Uh and you are going to
47:16
get a plus it's either that or a read a
47:18
situation. uh and you are going to get a
47:20
plus uh d4 from your security system
47:23
knowledge as you are looking for uh
47:25
stuff you are pretty well familiar with
47:29
>> that is a six
47:31
>> even with the d4
47:33
>> even the d4 was a one but yes a six is a
47:37
six is a partial success I'm gonna be
47:39
glad of it
47:41
>> okay uh so would anybody like to assist
47:45
in this before we go ahead and uh give
47:49
the end results of it. And can you
47:52
explain to me narratively how you
47:53
assist?
47:56
This is me attempting to encourage more
47:58
mechanics.
47:58
>> Is there anything that I can
48:02
hack into on this building to try to
48:04
assist with like trying to get in more
48:06
information?
48:08
>> Uh possibly. So you are familiar with
48:11
security systems to a certain uh extent
48:14
as well. Um, one of the things that you
48:16
could potentially do is help scan for
48:18
access points. Uh, so I would say that
48:21
that would fall under brains. And
48:23
because you are using essentially a
48:25
computer technology, I would allow you
48:27
to use your computer technology talent
48:29
with it to add to D4. So you'd get a D12
48:31
and a D4 and you can add it to uh the
48:35
role with uh with Jen there.
48:38
>> Okay, then that's what I am going to do.
48:40
We are going to add
48:43
uh 10 to that a six and a four.
48:47
>> Okay. Uh that will successfully bring
48:49
you above the threshold necessary uh for
48:52
it to be a success because there are no
48:53
partial successes in the uh the the
48:56
grouping together and you have hit that
48:58
threshold. Uh yeah, you're able to find
49:00
all of the security systems. Uh Jen, as
49:03
you're going through, you notice a
49:04
couple of the cameras without any
49:05
assistance. Uh, and you are actually
49:07
going to we're going to try to get a
49:09
little bit closer look to try to make
49:11
see what make a model it is. Uh, and you
49:14
get stopped by kit at the last second
49:16
before you walk into view of one that
49:18
you did not see. So, they are not
49:21
alerted to your presence currently. Um,
49:23
but you do see several cameras, heat
49:26
sensors, uh, looks like, uh, various
49:29
rudimentary forms of security in place.
49:32
Nothing crazy high-end. uh looks like
49:35
stuff that you'd probably easily be able
49:37
to uh do a potential blend in break and
49:41
get around uh if you so wanted to.
49:49
>> I'm going to let everyone else keep
49:50
going while I think about this.
49:54
>> Other people do things.
49:56
>> Mhm.
49:59
I mean, left to my own devices, I'll I
50:02
would Yeah. See, I know there's cameras
50:04
now and heat sensors, but I really want
50:05
to know if there's like a skylight on
50:07
top of this warehouse that requires me
50:08
to scale a wall.
50:10
>> It does require you to scale a wall.
50:12
>> Does require me to scale a wall. H
50:16
>> uh I mean, I guess I do know where the
50:17
heat sensors and cameras are now, so I
50:19
can try to avoid them while I do that.
50:22
Yeah, I will say because you have the
50:24
knowledge, this is going to give all of
50:25
you a situational plus three to any uh
50:29
stealth or uh any sort of blending or
50:33
maneuvering that you do to get around
50:35
these things.
50:36
>> Um this is on top of any other talents
50:38
that you have in this or any other gear
50:39
that gives you benefit.
50:41
>> Yeah, I want to go up um scale of walls
50:44
under both muscles and moves, but I'm
50:46
going to use moves because I have the
50:48
talent urban parkour.
50:50
>> Yes, you do. And if I'm doing my dice
50:52
math, the average on a D8 plus D4 is
50:54
slightly higher. [laughter]
50:57
>> And uh a few of you, I think uh V also
51:00
has urban parkour.
51:01
>> I do.
51:02
>> Nice. Let's go, parkour gang.
51:06
>> All right.
51:07
>> Uh 7 + 2 plus the situational three is a
51:10
12.
51:12
>> You scale the building flawlessly,
51:15
weaving in between all the sensors and
51:17
cameras. You notice as you're climbing
51:19
up and get next to one of the cameras,
51:21
they don't move. These things are
51:22
pointed in single directions. These guys
51:24
cheaped out like crazy, which I mean,
51:27
it's on brand. [laughter]
51:31
Just a wee bit. Just a wee bit. Uh V,
51:34
were you going to try to scale with them
51:35
as well?
51:36
>> Yeah, I got a uh 13.
51:40
>> Same thing. Uh you and Luke are making
51:42
this wall look like it's a set of
51:44
stairs. Uh, no issue getting up to the
51:47
top of the roof. Uh,
51:48
>> can we take out any of the cameras that
51:49
we pass on the way or do we want to do
51:52
that?
51:52
>> You've already effectively uh made them
51:55
uh functionally useless because between
51:58
Kit and Jen, you don't have to worry
52:01
about them. Now,
52:02
>> I think I point out that the cameras
52:04
don't move and V is probably actually
52:05
able to use one as a handhold completely
52:07
without alerting anybody.
52:10
>> All right, that leaves uh Kit, Jen, and
52:13
Colt. Are you guys going to try to scale
52:15
as well?
52:16
>> Who's carrying me like a background?
52:18
>> See up here? [laughter]
52:20
>> Yeah. What's up here first before
52:22
everybody gets up?
52:22
>> Is there anything worth bringing him up?
52:24
>> I want to do the reveal once everybody
52:27
potentially gets up there.
52:29
>> I mean, Colt Colt can scale, too. He
52:31
He's for as thin as he is. Um, when he
52:35
starts to climb it, it's like watching a
52:38
a walking stick go right up a wall.
52:41
[laughter]
52:42
Yeah. Yeah, go ahead and roll that scale
52:43
of wall under moves. Hey, hey, Joe.
52:46
>> Yeah, that's a 15, buddy.
52:50
[laughter]
52:51
>> Nice.
52:51
>> Uh, so wait, you rolled the 12 and a
52:53
d12.
52:54
>> Uhhuh. Brother, mark yourself a juice.
52:57
Woo!
52:58
>> Juiced your way up that wall. Team move.
53:00
I sure did.
53:01
>> You guys, as you're looking up at the
53:03
and taking stock of it, you're looking
53:04
down, seeing if you can possibly help
53:06
people up. Uh, you don't even notice
53:08
Colt uh scale the wall. It's almost if
53:11
he just walks straight up uh and is just
53:14
behind you and like kind of gives you a
53:16
little bit of a jump scare as he leans
53:17
over uh the wall looking down with you
53:20
is like, "Oh yeah, that okay." And you
53:22
both do a little jump back uh because he
53:25
just comes out of into the scene out of
53:26
nowhere. Um which leaves uh Jen and Kit.
53:31
>> Kit literally was looking for one of
53:33
them that she could just jump on their
53:34
back and get a piggyback ride.
53:37
Uh, that's
53:38
>> she's linking light, but she's not.
53:40
>> We could retroactively say that Luke
53:42
could have carried you up. Luke is the
53:44
strongest with the D12 and muscles.
53:46
>> I'd say that that's pretty fine. And
53:47
then that just leaves Jen to justify how
53:49
they get to the top.
53:51
>> Uh, I'm going to use muscles. And I have
53:53
a talent called Can I climb that? Which
53:55
I just uh she loves to climb things,
53:58
especially things [laughter] she's not
53:59
supposed to climb.
54:02
>> That's such a good talent.
54:04
She's a She's a D8 in muscles, but that
54:06
I think
54:07
>> I discovered that talent when I was six.
54:10
[laughter]
54:12
>> Uh yeah, I dare I dare say that talent
54:14
definitely applies here.
54:17
>> Uh but that's a a two and a two. That is
54:22
a four. I am going to use my juice.
54:25
>> Reroll both dice and add it together.
54:27
And you want collectively above a 10.
54:30
So, I I take the fours that I already
54:32
have and I add whatever else I roll.
54:35
>> Correct.
54:36
>> Okay.
54:36
>> And don't forget your uh situational
54:38
plus three.
54:39
>> Yep.
54:40
>> Oh, I I didn't add the plus three.
54:42
>> Oh, actually that means you didn't fail.
54:43
>> Then then you didn't fail. You uh
54:46
[snorts]
54:46
>> Okay.
54:48
>> Would anybody
54:49
>> That gives you a seven. So, would
54:50
anybody like to assist before I do the
54:52
complication?
54:55
>> Yeah, I'll help help her up.
54:57
narratively. How do you help?
55:00
>> Uh, I'm going to toss down. Uh,
55:04
how tall is it? Do I need like a rope or
55:06
something? Or maybe there's a
55:08
>> It's about two stories tall. So, that
55:10
roughly equates to about 30 feet.
55:13
>> Uh, yeah, maybe there's a piece of gear
55:15
up here I can lower down and he can grab
55:17
hold of.
55:19
Colt actually carries a toolbox with him
55:22
that's full of normal stuff that could
55:24
help you in these situations.
55:26
>> Like a length of rope.
55:28
>> Like a length of rope which he will hand
55:30
over.
55:31
>> I was going to say Colt is very useful.
55:33
Turns out uh so why don't you go ahead
55:36
and who's going to make the role? Uh is
55:38
it going to be V or is it going to be uh
55:42
Colt here?
55:44
What kind of a role do we think
55:46
>> we should have thought about having a
55:47
roll having a coil of rope before we all
55:51
started free climbing the wall?
55:53
>> Yeah, but three of your party members
55:55
don't care about that
55:56
>> fun this way.
55:58
>> Um
55:59
>> get stick bugged.
56:01
>> So, here's the deal. I will I will allow
56:03
you to make a
56:06
scale a wall roll
56:09
uh for said person uh under your under
56:14
your moves
56:16
>> uh for me.
56:19
>> You know, it should probably be Colt cuz
56:21
I can do that as a d12.
56:23
>> Do it.
56:24
>> So, I think Colt will then break in and
56:27
and and go ahead and do that. So, go
56:28
ahead and roll your D12 there, son.
56:32
You know, I love saying that my dice
56:34
have been hot, but uh yeah, I rolled a
56:37
three and then with the plus three,
56:40
[laughter]
56:41
>> that's still No, no, that's more than
56:43
enough combined together with the help
56:46
pole that brings it above a 10, which is
56:48
all we're looking for. Uh so yeah, you
56:51
are above a 10 collectively, which means
56:53
that uh we'll say that Jen almost used
56:58
one of the uh cameras as a handheld or a
57:00
foothold and was about to knock it off.
57:03
Uh which is when uh Colt snaps to grabs
57:08
the the coil of rope out of uh the
57:10
toolbox, launches over to the side, and
57:14
catches uh Jen at the last second before
57:17
she has to use it. and therefore they
57:19
are not alerted to your presence. Still
57:22
>> wonderful.
57:24
Uh as you guys go ahead do your RP.
57:29
[laughter]
57:31
>> Thanks, man. That was a that was a good
57:33
save.
57:35
>> Uh yeah, don't mention it. You can uh
57:37
get me a hot dog later.
57:39
>> I will get you a hot dog later.
57:43
>> It's It's later. They're They're still
57:45
going to kill you one day, but I'll I'll
57:48
help. Wait, wait. I know. I'm going to
57:50
fish that pack of smokes that I got from
57:53
the guy earlier, and I'm going to give
57:54
it to you. So, you have Now you have
57:56
some extra.
57:58
>> That's even better. Thank you. Amazing.
58:00
[laughter] Wonderful. 10 out of 10. No.
58:02
No.
58:04
>> Perfect. Okay, friends. As you reach to
58:08
the the top of the roof and you dust
58:09
yourselves off and share your cigarettes
58:12
and brush and and and get sorted, you
58:14
notice that in true
58:18
'9s TV fashion, the vast majority of
58:21
this roof is taken up by a gigantic
58:24
glass skylight. And as you lean over and
58:27
tap on it ever so lightly, you notice
58:30
that this is just nothing but regular
58:32
glass. It is not bulletproof. It is not
58:35
blocks. Uh, it is nothing special. And
58:38
again, because these are cheap jerks,
58:42
the alarm system has been disconnected
58:44
from it because it probably rattles and
58:46
was setting it off and they were just
58:48
getting annoyed and instead of fixing
58:49
it, they just disconnected the damn
58:51
thing. So, the the it is completely like
58:58
it it is an invitation waiting to
59:00
happen. And as you look in, uh, you see,
59:05
I mean, if you ever seen the movie Big,
59:09
think of [laughter] think of that,
59:12
>> but with like the cheapest knockoff toys
59:15
you could ever possibly find. We're
59:17
talking like trikes from like Space
59:20
China. Uh, we're talking like uh
59:23
knockoff rockam sakum robots instead of
59:26
like and lifesize but instead of rockom
59:28
sakum robots it's like knock them down
59:31
cyber guys or something like that
59:33
>> dropping at fel schwarz.
59:36
>> Yeah, [laughter] 100%.
59:39
or Space Teu or Space AliExpress. Like,
59:42
these are like the cheapest knockoffs of
59:44
everything, but it's like exactly what
59:46
you would expect a 14-year-old given a
59:48
credit card would do left to their own
59:51
devices on the internet. Like, that's
59:53
exactly what you see below. And there
59:55
are a ton of like just hangers on here.
59:59
You don't see uh Backsheen, you don't
1:00:02
see NFT Hound, but you do see a bunch of
1:00:04
goons. Uh, and these look exactly like
1:00:07
you would expect. A bunch of guys in
1:00:10
like hoodies and sweatpants that have,
1:00:12
you know, ironic sayings on them like,
1:00:14
"My other ride is your mom." Uh, like
1:00:18
>> like they're they're they're playing
1:00:20
games or like again, not to reference
1:00:22
more pop culture, but it just makes
1:00:23
sense. If you've ever seen the Teenage
1:00:24
Mutant Ninja Turtles movie where they're
1:00:25
training the foot kids, it's that group
1:00:28
of kids just hanging around and there's
1:00:30
like one guy who's very bald walking
1:00:33
around like checking on everybody and
1:00:35
making sure everybody's okay. Uh and he
1:00:38
doesn't really seem like he's saying
1:00:39
much. Uh but they all definitely get out
1:00:41
of his way uh when he uh when he walks
1:00:44
through.
1:00:45
And so then I ask you in this moment,
1:00:48
what would you like to do?
1:00:52
>> Wow. I would like to break all of this
1:00:54
glass. That is my first and last thought
1:00:57
that I would like to break every inch of
1:00:59
this glass and shower those people below
1:01:02
with shards of broken glass because
1:01:05
>> that's kind of my first instinct.
1:01:07
>> A good point.
1:01:07
>> This is This is going to bring me so
1:01:09
much joy. I see. I'm just totally off
1:01:12
the bounty hunting.
1:01:13
>> [laughter]
1:01:14
>> There's absolutely 1,000%
1:01:17
a trampoline directly at the bottom
1:01:20
level below the skylight because
1:01:22
[laughter] this is an anime.
1:01:25
>> Why break the glass so we can lift this
1:01:26
thing and just bounce in?
1:01:30
>> But I want to gummy bear theme song so
1:01:33
bad.
1:01:34
[laughter]
1:01:39
>> Disney.
1:01:40
>> All right. So I guess in this question
1:01:43
this is going to fall under a break
1:01:45
stuff role. Uh I believe that is going
1:01:48
to firmly fall under Luke's purview as
1:01:50
the muscle uh bound character of this
1:01:52
group.
1:01:53
>> Uh with with the dad like the double axe
1:01:56
handle the skylight.
1:01:57
>> I'm going to like reach into whatever
1:01:59
backpack he's got and look for whatever
1:02:00
a crowbar or hammer I know he has cuz
1:02:02
I'm still on his back like a backpack
1:02:04
and just hand it over like over
1:02:05
[laughter] his
1:02:06
>> You're the only thing on my back. I got
1:02:08
a big metal fist. I got a crowbar in my
1:02:10
>> I just gota hold on because I know we're
1:02:12
about to go flying. [laughter]
1:02:14
>> Oh, you want to jump in? Okay. Uh,
1:02:17
that'll be different.
1:02:18
>> Oh, I was just gonna I was going to
1:02:19
break the glass first and then jump in
1:02:21
after the glass starts falling
1:02:23
everywhere.
1:02:23
>> That's fine. I'm still holding on.
1:02:25
>> Break stuff.
1:02:28
That is a 10 on the break stuff.
1:02:31
Wonderful. That is a rousing success.
1:02:34
Uh, so [snorts] you see Luke raises back
1:02:38
his mechanical fist, uh, and finds the
1:02:41
perfect sweet spot and just brings it
1:02:43
crashing down. Uh, the glass shatters in
1:02:46
this like beautiful and terrifying just
1:02:50
absolute sheet of like breaking noise as
1:02:53
giant shards start falling down below.
1:02:57
From inside, you hear uh really crappy
1:03:01
cover music of like EDM Disney songs
1:03:04
blasting up from the arcade below. Uh as
1:03:07
everybody like the the record scratch
1:03:09
happens, they stop and they look up as
1:03:11
they see all of your faces with a grim
1:03:14
grinning resolve uh as all this glass
1:03:17
come shattering down. And that's where
1:03:19
we end this episode. So thank you very
1:03:22
much friends for joining on us uh
1:03:24
joining us on this leg of the journey.
1:03:27
Uh we have one more to go uh and this

this part of this adventure uh where
1:03:32

1:03:34
crypto bros. I am absolutely confident.
