Unite Against Mechazod in this week’s Hearthstone Tavern Brawl

Mechazod returns in this week’s Hearthstone Tavern Brawl — a cooperative battle against the mechagnome mastermind. We’ve seen this Brawl previously with a variety of classes, but this week’s duo is Priest and Paladin. While technically we’ve already seen the Priest and Paladin duo butt heads with Mechazod before, the decks (and Mechazod’s behavior) are slightly different. If you’ve never participated in a Mechazod brawl before, when you queue for the brawl, you’ll automatically be assigned one of the two classes and their respective pre-built decks.

Mechazod always moves to the side of the board opposite the currently active player. On your turn, he’s on your teammate’s side of the board. On your teammate’s turn, Mechazod is on your side of the board. You must work together with the other player to take him down — buffing each other’s minions, helping each other draw extra cards, and generally trying to eliminate Mechazod before he eliminates one (or both) of the players. In my experience with this brawl, the Priest’s Holy Champions have the potential to be your big bruisers, assuming you can keep them alive. Both the Priest and Paladin decks have high healing capabilities, and if the Paladin supports the Priest’s Holy Champions with their various Divine Shield effects, you’ll be smooth sailing. If that fails, the Priest deck also includes Burly Rockjaw Troggs, which your Paladin friend can also boost to high heaven through cheap spells.
