When is the Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland event for 2023?

The Winter Wonderland event in Overwatch 2 ends after this weekend, so this is your last chance to snag any of the cozy cosmetics or play your way through the fun seasonal Arcade modes. The final seasonal event of the year arrived in Overwatch 2 on December 19, and is set to end January 8.

As with all of the seasonal events, completing challenges centered on the Arcade modes is how you can unlock minor cosmetics for your hero roster, such as voice lines and sprays. For this event, though, Blizzard is trying something new that will give players a bit more choice in their rewards. There will be a special Winter Fair Event Pass during Winter Wonderland where you can earn tickets to purchase Legendary skins. Choose to go all-out festive with the Winter Jammies Illari or swank it up with formal outfits for Baptiste or Cassidy — or pick a combination of them if you choose to upgrade to a Premium Winter Fair Event Pass. While there is time to earn tickets, if you’re short on time but still want some festive gear you’re still in luck. The shop is still featuring a ton of seasonal skins, including a festive bundle where, in addition to a few skins and other frills, you can just buy a bunch of tickets for the Event Pass.

Winter Wonderland is the best time of year to flex your Mei skills. It doesn’t seem like this will be the year for a new winter Arcade mode, but Snowball Offensive and Yeti Hunt are back in the Arcade rotation. Snowball Offensive has two different modes: a classic 5v5 match, or an 8-player Free For All Deathmatch. If you’re not into Mei, you may want to try your hand at 4v4 Freeze Tag, too. Get your fix of chilling fun now, because these modes will be back on ice once the event concludes.

Your window for getting festive goes from December 19-January 8. It’s time to start thinking about taking down those holiday decorations for what awaits us in the new year!
