It’s a new year, and we’re bringing you some new games to talk about this week!

It only took until this week to begin seeing new games released in 2025, but there’s some fresh stuff for us to talk about this week. We’ve got metroidvanias and roguelikes, we’ve got action games and remakes. Finally, we’re starting to get into some fresh, new content.

Let’s jump right into it!

Cyberpunk Metroidvania: Blade Chimera

Blade Chimera is the newest metroidvania title by Team Ladybug, known for Touhou Luna Nights and Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labryinth. In Blade Chimera, you play as Shin, a demon hunter with no memory of his past. Shin strikes a deal with Lux, a demon who can shapeshift into a sword and manipulate time; once the pact has been made, you head off to figure out just what happened to you and those you cared about in the cyberpunk version of Osaka. Beat demons, get new skills, run across cyberpunk Japan and finish the Demon War that began years ago in Blade Chimera.

Get Blade Chimera for $18 on Steam.

Action Roguelike: Heroes of Hammerwatch 2

Heroes of Hammerwatch 2 has you picking one of 7 unique classes (Warrior, Paladin, Ranger, Wizard, Rogue, Warlock, Sorcerer) each with 3 different specializations; from here you dive deep into the dangerous Dark Citadel, collecting armor and weapons while you clear our the baddies. Return from your journey to the main hub town where you can upgrade the town itself, enchant your gear, and unlock brand new upgrades for your character. Each floor within the Dark Citadel is randomly generated (as are the equipment drops) so no two runs should be the same; as well, you continue to collect unlocks to better your next playthrough. Even better, play multiplayer with up to 3 other friends to try and defeat all eight floors of the Dark Citadel as a party!

Get Heroes of Hammerwatch 2 for $16 on Steam.

Classic RPG Remastered: Tales of Graces f Remastered

Tales of Graces f was a rather well known, well loved RPG that came out during the Xbox 360 / Playstation 3 era and for quite some time, it felt like that would be its final resting place. Yet Bandai Namco has decided to begin remastering older Tales of titles, and brought Graces f to us with remastered graphics, additional content, and minor fixes and Quality-of-Life improvements. In Graces f, three young children make a promise to each other — Asbel, heir of the local lord, Richard, prince of Windor Kingdom, and Sophie, a girl with no memory of her past swear an oath to each other after surviving an attempt on Richard’s life while in the land of Lhant. Years later, the three must come together when war breaks out amongst the great nations of Ephinea, where their bonds may be the only thing that save the world.

Get Tales of Graces f Remastered for $40 on Steam.

Seriously, do not pursue Lu Bu: Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Dynasty Warriors feels like it needs no introduction, but it’s been almost ten years since we’ve seen a title from the series, so a refresher might be in order. You play as an original character, a “nameless hero,” who battles through different battlefields from the Three Kingdoms era of China. Fight hundreds of nameless soldiers as you cross the map to get to an area held by a commander, while attempting to hunt down and defeat legendary champions like Liu Bei, Zhou Yu and Cao Cao. Beware, however, when Lu Bu enters the battlefield — his goal is to prove he is the best, the strongest, and he will give many a fight they will never forget.

Get Dynasty Warriors: Origins for $70 on Steam.
