Summer Game Fest showcases just keep coming — here’s what you have to catch up on

While most people can’t believe it’s June already — it’s June already! — we’re hitting the greatest time of year for gamers. As the de facto successor to E3, Summer Game Fest is more than just one night of showcase. Instead it’s days of showcases, both officially and unofficially part of the festival. And while the event has wrapped up for the year, you can watch all of the showcases and trailers online right now.

If you’re looking to wishlist, buy, or check out the demos of  any of the games in these showcases, head to the Steam Showcase of Summer Showcases, which rounds up the games mentioned in all of these events. But, if you want to watch all of the shows for yourself, here are all of the shows from Summer Game Fest 2025.

State of Unreal

Updates on games using the Unreal Engine, including the Witcher 4, advancements in the Unreal engine, and developments at Epic Games.

Mix Summer Game Showcase

This showcase highlighted upcoming indie games, like the “gardenvania” platformer Nectermancer and the open world crafting game Autonomica.

Sony State of Play

Sony waited until the last minute on June 3 to announce State of Play, a 40 minute presentation on PlayStation games.

The Access-Ability Summer Showcase

Highlighting advancement in video games and streaming to help disabled gamers.

Summer Game Fest

The main event hosted by Geoff Keighley will cover upcoming games across all platforms over the course of two hours — including a visit by Geoff’s best friend Kojima with a preview of Death Stranding 2.

Day of the Devs

Day of the Devs is a nonprofit independent game showcase presented by Double Fine Entertainment, packed with amazing indies.

Ball X Pit: The Kenny Sun Story

Devolver Digital’s showcases usually have to be seen to be believed. What more needs to be said? It’s Devolver Digital. This year’s show highlighted a single game: Ball x Pit.

Wholesome Direct

A collection of feel-good cozy games, such as Tiny Bookshop (not featured in this event, but a previous Wholesome highlight that just released a demo). Also any game that feels like it should be played with a cat in your lap.

Women-Led Games

A showcase highlighting women developers.

Latin American Games Showcase

Highlighting games from Latin America, highlighting over 5o titles.

Southeast Asia Games Showcase

Announcements from developers in southeast Asia.

Green Games

Games that have real-life impact on the environment and society.

Frosty Game Fest

Highlighting cool games being developed in Australia and New Zealand.

Xbox Games Showcase

Microsoft showed off upcoming releases featuring Activision, Blizzard, and Bethesda games along with several other first and third party titles. The event ended with an in-depth look at Outer Worlds 2.

PC Gaming Show

PC Gamer Magazine highlighted upcoming titles and hardware upgrades for (unsurprisingly) PC gamers.

Death Stranding 2 game premiere

Hideo Kojima and the cast of Death Stranding 2 join Geoff Keighley for a live demonstration of the upcoming game.

Black Voices in Gaming

Spotlighting games and music by Black creators worldwide.

What’s next?

While this was listed as the last showcase now, more tend to pop up later. Microsoft has a history of a second showcase after its Sunday showcase — typically on the Tuesday or Wednesday after their events — to go into further detail on their upcoming games. Other developers may not be included in the Summer Game Fest lineup, but still be part of Steam Next Fest which runs from June 9 – 16 to. Next Fest focuses on games with never-seen-before demos, so there will be plenty of things to play (including demos of some of the games from Summer Game Fest).

Be on the lookout for a deluge of new game news over the course of this month, because June really is games month.
