Addon Apocalypse

It's been several weeks, and we've all had time to settle into the Midnight addon environment -- have you been handling the transition with grace, or are you mashing your keyboard randomly and being repeatedly eaten by lynxes just outside of the Silvermoon gates without your meticulously crafted addon-heavy UI?

The Midnight pre-patch is almost upon us, and with it will come the long discussed "addon apocalypse," where changes to the back end have either made it impossible to maintain certain addons, or made the task of updating them too daunting for some developers to want to continue.

Blizzard told us when the trilogy of expansions comprising The War Within, Midnight, and The Last Titan, that they would be over time replacing and blocking third party addons that perform computational actions as combat helpers.
