League of Legends releases new champion Kindred, The Eternal Hunters

The newest champion is the embodiment of death. But can it truly shine as a jungler?

Though League of Legends is in the middle of their month-long 2016 World Championship finals, Riot is still rolling out new champions like clockwork. The latest is a duo named Kindred, The Eternal Hunters who are the physical manifestation of death. Lamb is the quiet, accepting version of death and is armed with a bow and arrow. Wolf represents the violent side of death and circles Lamb, ready to strike when commanded and mark others for death. The two-in-one champion is designed to be a mobile marksman who excels at soloing jungle camps and moving between lanes for ganking out-of-position opponents.

The player controls Lamb whose kit comes with dashes, slows and heals all of which do damage making the Kindred very versatile and deadly. The character trait allows the player to mark an enemy and kill them for a stacking permanent attack buff. The ultimate creates a wide circle that protects anyone, friend or foe, from dropping below 10% health while it is active, but only so long as they stay within the confines of the circle. Wolf can be ordered to attack anyone within an area and will mark random NPCs with their death trait.

Lamb has relatively low health and relies on kiting, dashes and the self-heal ability to stay alive long enough to take down the enemy. Players must be careful when going after marked creatures for the passive attack buff since the other team can see the mark on the map. The ultimate ability looks to be the most interesting as when it wears off, many players may be at 10% health and a well-timed ability shot or AE that’s off cooldown can turn the game around.

Kindred, The Eternal Hunters is now available on the live servers as part of patch 5.20. They cost 975 RP for the base champion and the Shadowfire skin is on sale currently for 975 RP or you can get both as a package on sale for 1462 RP through Sunday, October 18th. Forum icons of both Lamb and Wolf can also be purchased for 250 RP each.
