QFTQ – just wondering here if anyone on Alpha has noticed this, but with Blizzard finally merging the auction houses, are we able to now send any mail between our acct. to toons regardless of Faction ? If not, think that will ever be put in place. Sure would be a nice feature LOL
As of an hour ago, I logged onto the Alpha (of course I’m on the Alpha, I’m the star of one of Blizzard’s best games) and I could not mail something from my Horde Death Knight, DieSarlac, to my Alliance Hunter KyleVlarosRex. So either there was a problem with the mail server, or cross faction mail isn’t in.
Not only do none of the portals go to the world of Tuul (a travesty) but I believe that as of last week (the last time I played KyleVlarosRex, I’ve been busy ruling Androth) the portals in the Shrines in the Vale were still there.
However, upon traveling to Dalaran I noticed portals to Stormwind, Darnassus, Ironforge and the Exodar, along with a portal to the Vale itself, in the Alliance area. So I wouldn’t count out the portals in Dalaran just yet.
Q4tQ: Is there any peep in legion alpha yet as to what’s happening with PVP vendors that deal in honor as a currency? I’m half afraid that they’ll evaporate or be gated by the new system, and half hopeful they’ll just flat out deal in gold like justice point vendors do now, without any gating!
They do not flat out deal in gold. By the power of the Lightstone I present to you this image:
I do not know if the Mark of Honor is intended to be the permanent solution, but it seems clear that if it does remain, it will be a bind to account currency that you could earn on one character and spend on another, like a lower level alt. Useful for gearing your alts.
Hopefully we’ll hear more about this new currency soon.
Q4TQ: (Inspired by a @Alvida tweet) Which zone music do you feel is underrated/underappreciated? Like @Alvida I’d say Hinterlands. I’d also add Howling Fjord whose music is almost as good as Grizzly Hills but rarely gets mentioned due to its very popular neighbor.
Oh, you meant in World of Warcraft.
Very well. I’d have to say Netherstorm. It reminds me of my homeworld of Tuul.
Q4TQ: While I don’t dislike Tracer or Winston, do you think we’ll get any cinematics that focus on characters like Mercy?
I would assume so.
My friend Matthew (who usually writes this column) has a theory that I, Kyle Vlaros, actually am tied to the Overwatch setting. You see, when Sarlac attacked and my father sent me away to save my life, the world he sent me to was Earth. So perhaps the Earth I grew up on was the same one that would later see the Omnic Crisis, and the only reason I missed it was because I returned home to Tuul.
Therefore, in time I may become a playable character in Overwatch. Stranger things have happened.

The Dalaran portals are just to SW/Org? I would really like it if they’d have all of the cities again, as that allows people to use the other cities as a living base of operations. It’s bad enough that the Etheral Vendors are only in SW or Org, or back in the Shrines in Mists. Right now my hearthstone is bound there, because having all 6 portals from there is just too compelling.
Question: on the alpha, has anyone looked at the Shrines to see if all the city portals are still there?
