The Queue: Boxing with an Ambulatory Robot

Hello, everyone! Today is Boxing Day and also AmbulanceRobot’s birthday (unless Lotharfox was lying to me on Christmas). I had intended to make this full of 2BEs (get it?!) but I can’t find the document I made with all the 2BEs from several months back and you guys DID actually ask questions so it’s just a regular Queue.

ROUND ONE! QUEUE!

WARLENBRONZEBEARD ASKS ABOUT OUR ANNIVERSARY:

Speaking of BW hitting 5 years, any news on more BW shirts for us to support your endeavors show off our awesome BW aesthetic…

I’ve been inquiring about this for a bit now and the best I can say is that it’s something that’s on the table but nothing is finalized. I’ll keep pestering once the holiday is over, because I know it’s a big milestone and something that’s important to y’all (and also me!), and I really want to make sure it happens.

JALAMENOS OF LAST LIGHT ASKS ABOUT THE SQUISH:

Q4tQ: When you level your first fresh alt 1-50 in Shadowlands, which expansion will you choose?

I’m likely going with Pandaria, there are quests in the later zones I haven’t done in years.

I’m sorry if I sound like a broken record here, but I am really not an alt person. I’ll probably try to level one just to experience the squish, but it’s not a priority for me. It doesn’t help that there aren’t really any classes I haven’t leveled, or that I’m not even sure I’ve used my BFA boost.

That said, I think Draenor might be the one I go for. I know WOD wasn’t loved overall, but the leveling was phenomenal, and I really like the “alien world” thing. Shadowmoon is a gorgeous zone, Spires of Arak at dusk has one of my favorite views ever, and the bonus objectives make leveling go very quickly. It’s a diverse and beautiful expansion, and I have fond memories of leveling through it. My second choice is probably Northrend because those zones and their music are all fantastic as well (but the questing design is a bit outdated).

LOTHARFOX DIDN’T HAVE A QUESTION BUT I’M INCLUDING THIS ANYWAY:

I apologize to Liz. I did not mean to sully your honor. I should have known, even for the holidays, you would not have requested to switch to return to the Queue days after Mitch, again.

Okay, I just want to put this out there: I feel like absolute crap that writing The Queue after me was apparently so painful that Rossi requested to switch. A Sylvanas-headlined-Queue notwithstanding, I honestly don’t try to do anything to make the comments hard to sift through. I’m just trying to have fun writing these and, in turn, give you guys something fun and enjoyable to read. I never wanted to make Rossi’s (or anyone’s) life so difficult that it’s a burden to write after me.

SPENCER MORGAN HAS A QUESTION MAYBE TANGENTIALLY RELATED TO THE ABOVE:

Q4tQ: So, I approach a fork in road. There’s two Mitches at the fork. One only tells the truth, the other tells only lies.

I decide to shoot them both, and take their fancy cultist hats as loot. I then take the left road in the fork, as that appears to lead to a Halloween themed level.

Did I make the right choice?

There’s not enough information here to answer, as I don’t know what the right fork appeared to lead to. But it’s hard to deny the appeal of a Halloween-themed level.

As for your decision to kill both Mitches, since I am still here and writing this, it was the right decision, and the removal of the False Ones only strengthens me. Thank you, SPencer.

GREATFATHER KALCHEUS ASKS ABOUT PRESENTS!

Q4tQ Do you have all your toons open presents?

Nah. I mean, if there’s a unique item that isn’t guaranteed in each box, I might go through and open until I make sure I have them all. I also tend to open once on Horde and once on Alliance just because I don’t trust the game to give me account-bound stuff across factions. But mostly, I open what I need to in order to gain all the collectibles and that’s it. (It helps that I don’t really have a ton of alts I care about.)

PIDIA ASKS A SIMILAR QUESTION THAT I ASSUME TO BE ABOUT REAL LIFE:

Q4TQ: What did Greatfather Winter bring you for Winter’s Veil this year?

I got a cool mixology set, lots of chocolate, and SOCKS! I needed socks. From family, I also got some LEGO sets and other assorted goodies.

HERE’S A WHOLE BUNCH OF 2BES TO CLOSE OUT BOXING DAY:

Krald: 2BE: Mitch vs. Organizational Skills. It could not be helped, things write themselves sometimes :P

RetPallyJil: 2BE: Hyjal Summit Archimonde vs. Hellfire Citadel Archimonde

Red (and white stripes): 2BE: Mystic Birdhat vs. Cousin Slowhands

MusedMoose: 2BE: The Old Gods and other void-based entities VS Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos

Drakkenfyre: Lunara vs. Enchantress

Look, I actually have decent organizational skills, especially when it comes to virtual space. I was just beaten in this one instance, and that may only be because I didn’t actually save the 2BE doc I thought I saved. It may not exist. When I have more time, I’ll see if I can find it for the future.

Hellfire Citadel. Not just because he came later in the game, but because that fight was actually really cool and felt like a coordinated dance successfully going from phase to phase.

Mystic Birdhat because I like looking good.

Old Gods.

Enchantress.

And that’s all for today! Please make tomorrow as easy as possible for whomever is writing The Queue.
