The Queue: What a classy Druid

So without consulting with any of the other Queue writers, I’m going to try and get a week of class-focused Queues! Maybe this will work, maybe it won’t! It might depend on how many questions y’all can ask them about their preferred classes. If everything goes according to my bearly thought-out plan we’ll have Druid, Hunter, Warrior, Shadow Priest, and Paladin Queues.

And now without further aqueue… it’s time for The Queue!

ALL AROUND THE WORLD, STATUES CRUMBLE FOR GLOWING METEOR CARROT

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, would a Druid know?

I think they would know if they bothered to ask — then good luck getting that tree to shut up.

Generally, I feel like Druids are more big picture kind of people, they’re happy knowing there is a forest, and the forest will continue. Dryads and Keepers of the Grove though, they’ll know exactly when that tree fell, and if it was natural causes or not.

DANCE A LITTLE STRANGER, SHOW ME WHERE YOU’VE BEEN VALENCEMAGI

Q4tQ: do you spin in a circle 3-4 times before logging out?

If I was a Worgen Druid I definitely would. That must be a hard set of mental circumstances to reconcile. How much of the dog brain remains in play with the cat form?

I will usually log out in bear form though. Just drop my bare bear butt wherever I am.

GLOWING METEOR CARROT, LOVE CAN MAKE YOU HOSTAGE, WANNA DO IT AGAIN

Druid healing spells oftentimes have leaves as part of their visual effects, do you think being healed by a Druid would trigger allergies in people who have them?

It’s a vicious cycle. You get healed which is great! Your day instantly improves, but it turns out that you’re super allergic to that Druids home forest and so all of a sudden you need healing again. Next thing you know you’re getting a fresh infusion of leafy terror from that Druid. Best hope that there’s a Shaman around to help you, or you’ll be stuffed up and having trouble breathing for the next week.

EVERYONE I KNOW HAS BEEN SO GOOD TO ROXXII THE BELOVED

Why haven’t they deleted Feral already given how terrible of a spec it’s been for expansions?

There would be riots!

I don’t know if terrible is the word for it, just kind of middle of the pack. Which is also not the worst thing in the world. There’s always going to be a middle of the pack. Sadly, they’re the specs that are least likely to get any developer’s attention — positive or negative.

It’s always felt like one of the specializations that had one of the highest skill ceilings. While also being hampered by being a melee when Balance druid is right there. Easier to play, and a ranged class to boot, it’s no wonder there’s so many of them around. That or the Moonkin Preservation Society has some really deep pockets.

I don’t know what they could do to fix it, but it would probably need some sort of game-changing utility. Maybe if they expanded who could provide the magic damage/physical damage debuffs on the boss from just Demon Hunter/Monk to include something from the Feral Druids…

DON’T BE SHY ARTHONOS, ‘CAUSE WE ALL FORGET TO FLY

How would you feel if Blizzard added a set of cosmetic druid forms based around the 6 major cosmic forces, but picking one locks you out of the others? And if Blizz went this route which cosmetic would you pick?

Oh, that would be awful. I’d be so sad that I couldn’t play with all of the others. What if I’m feeling like a Fel Druid one week, but the next week is feeling like a Holy week? How could I choose just one?

I mean it’s easily the Shadow/Void force that I’d choose off the jump. No way that I wouldn’t be a Druid of the Old Ones. I just would like to have some flexibility if there’s a really cool transmog set that I just made.

JAXDADDY JUST WANNA FLY (LIKE A BIRDIE IN THE SKY UP SO HIGH)

You asked.

  1.  Would you rather play a fire druid or a cicada druid (which have very dramatic larva to tree-sucking nymph to noisy jar fly stages.)
  2.  What part do you think that lampyridae druids would shine from?
  3.  Who ultimately wins in war a between mechagnome druids and regular druids?
  4.  After the last 8? expansions, what part of Azeroth/Outland would you most like druids to fix?
  5.  Why shouldn’t I make my next alt a druid?
  6.  Why should I make my next alt a druid?
  7.  What is your best argument for goblin druids?
  8.  Why do you like druids?
  9.  Do druids prefer honey or molasses? Do they make biscuits? Do they make butter?
  10.  Who should take lead in the next expansion? Malfurion or Tyrande?
  11.  Where is your favorite natural place to bliss out in Azeroth as a druid?
  12.  What is your worst narrative regret as a druid?
  13.  Most important, as a druid in cat form, how do you react when somebody /pets you?

Lightning round!

  1. Fire Druid, I love the Druid of the Flame aesthetics, even if an insect-heavy skill set would be super cool.
  2. The butt.
  3. The regular Druids. The shapeshifting feels like such an integral part of Warcrafts Druids and shifting all that metal can’t be easy. Plus who knows how well they’re protected against normal wear and tear, too much mud gets in that arm joint and it could be kaputt.
  4. Silvermoon’s dead scar.
  5. You shouldn’t make your next alt a Druid if you just made a Druid.
  6. Guardian spec/travel form is overpowered for getting quests done.
  7. Goblins would be very good at utilizing their Nature magic to turn a profit, which could in turn help fund more environmental efforts (like the Moonkin Preservation Society)
  8. I love the shapeshifting. I could be a boring old Human/Orc/Elf in armor or I could be a bear! bear wins all the time.
  9. Honey, just look at how much bears love that stuff. I don’t see why they wouldn’t have honey buttered biscuits. I know I really want some of those right now.
  10. Tyrande.
  11. The Dreamgrove! I love that I have a portal to get back there whenever I want. It’s just the right kind of vibrant green.
  12. Ursoc, we didn’t really have anything to do with what happened to them — but man it still stings.
  13. Pet them back, sometimes with claws.
