The Queue: Keep off the internet day’s Eve

Yeah, tomorrow is that day.

Today, however, we’re still operating under normal internet rules… so really, nothing much changes? Sorry, don’t mean to be cynical, just very aware that the internet is often a scary place.

It’s the Queue. I’m listening to Celldweller’s End of an Empire and thinking about the next session of the D&D game I’m co-running for the Tavern Watch crew.

MOVEWOW

Q4tQ: With Sylvanas going to the Maw for eternity, did anyone ask her, or did she offer up any useful information regarding the Jailer and his plans? I mean it seems like she should know something useful from her dealing with him over such a long time. At least what’s his favorite color or whether or not he like pineapple on his pizza. I mean we’d know for sure that he’s a real villain if he put pineapple on his pizza! :D

The Jailer’s entire plan hinged on his remaking the universe so that pineapple could no longer exist on pizza. And we stopped him. Muse on that. Who’s the real monster?

I am of the impression that Sylvanas explained what she knew of the plan and where the Jailer was going.

KALCHEUS

Q4tQ With less than 3 weeks to go until the WoW Nexpac announcement, have you started looking for leaks online, or are you ignoring all of them because you figure they’re bogus?

I’m kind of in a weird situation here. I mean, you are too. It’s our jobs to know stuff about World of Warcraft and other games, so by default, we kind of have to be conversant in what is out there. But I generally view almost any leak as being BS until it’s confirmed. The only big leak I can remember that turned out to be true was the one for Warlords of Draenor that basically spelled out the entire plot of the expansion and the time travel aspect of it.

MISTAH JAY

Q4tQ: Does anyone else think “What is to Come” (as Zovaal puts it) is the True Endtime that created Murozond?

That wasn’t what created Murozond, that was what Murozond created.

Remember, from their first appearance, the Infinite Dragonflight has been all about ‘shattering this clockwork universe’ and breaking the shackles of orderly progression of time. They want to make a universe which doesn’t follow any rules or bend to the whims of any beings save their own terrifying masters.

My personal opinion is that ‘what is to come’ is the unraveling of existence. People describing it as a seventh force aren’t wrong, it’s just that it’s a ‘force’ the same way cold is a thing. Technically speaking, cold is the absence of heat — we certainly can be damaged by it, and we absolutely feel it, but it’s not like electricity or fire or poisoning, it’s not the addition of something. It’s the subtraction of it.

The six fundamental forces of the Warcraft cosmology, even Void, have a tangible existence to them. The Void is the thousand truths, the personification of the unknown and the possible. If it can happen, the Void revels in it, and despises the Light for revealing what is and therefore closing off all of what could be. Light reveals, Shadow conceals.

But this new ‘7th force’ isn’t that. It’s literal cosmic annihilation. It’s the imbalance that threatens to disrupt the creation of the cosmos via the six forces interplaying, the way we’ve seen them interplay in the plane where Azeroth, Argus, Draenor and other worlds exist within. If the proper alignment of the six is harmonious, what is to come is discordant. It’s the destruction of what makes being itself possible.

DUTRIMI

QftQ: I’ve got a bunch of Korthia Armaments left over. What has everybody been doing with them?

I haven’t checked but if you can you might as well vendor them.

CAPTAIN CAKEWALK

Ooh another thing too: Blizzard, thank you so much for actually animating the newest cinematics with actual lip-syncing! Also the animations and body language of the characters were amazing! :D

I have seen a lot of Tyrande thirst on my timeline since that cinematic. Her feral stance, more hench physique and barely contained disdain seems to do it for a lot of people.

Okay, that’s the Queue for today. It’s the last day of March, which is a weird month for me. Tomorrow is keep off the internet day, so I have no idea what I’ll be doing with myself.
