The Queue: Capybara Nap Commotion

So I keep hearing people tell me how great Persona 5 and the entire series before it is, and Persona 5 Royal is free for us with Game Pass, so I’m gonna download it and then probably stare at it a lot while thinking do I really need another astonishingly long game to obsess over so this is my plea to you, Queue — someone please tell me what this series is so I can make an informed decision?

Each Warhammer 40k faction discovers Azeroth separately. What happens next?

Some of them would likely not give a rat’s behind. The Imperium of Man, even counting its Ogryn, Ratling and League of Votann who would find on Azeroth beings that were at the very least quite familiar, would likely only care about Azeroth if they saw some sort of benefit to interacting with the place that exceeded the risks, depending on if they felt that Azeroth’s Humans were the same people as themselves.

The Asuryani and Aeldari might recognize some form of kinship with Azeroth’s Elves, or they might not, and at any rate are a difficult people to predict. The Necrons would try and kill everything. The Tyranids would try and kill and eat everything. The Orks would delight in coming to Azeroth as a raw mass of endless waves of chaos and violence, and might try and recruit Azeroth’s Orcs as allies/kinsmen or butcher them wholesale in the name of their terrible  Chaos Gods. The Drukhari would see Azerothians as potential slaves or targets of pirate attacks.

In short, it wouldn’t be a good time for Azeroth. Orks, Tyranids and Necrons all possess vast numbers on the scale of the entire Burning Legion and would be extremely difficult to defeat considering Azeroth’s relative paucity in terms of population. We’re talking potentially trillions of fungus-animal hybrids, robo-undead and Hive after Hive of a fermenting biological stew of endless evolutionary iteration.

The only real shot I can think of is the people of Azeroth somehow finding a way to wake up Azeroth itself and use the planet and that giant sword Sargeras left in it like an enormous Gundam to just wipe out so many of each species that none of them were left to attack it.

BRAINSTRAIN

Sometimes I take a screenshot, edit it, save it to a folder. And instead of saving, it just deletes itself without a trace. I swear my work PC is haunted.

Alternatively, the electricity that animates your PC is in fact a living, transtemporal entity and it satisfies its hunger with your screenshots.

VALENCEMAGI

Kalcheus is history’s greatest monster!!

I don’t really have anything to say here, I’m just giving Kal his 15 minutes.

MUSEDMOOSE

Nope, what I need is to sleep for an extended period of time. Like, a month. A solid month long nap, or maybe just sleep 12 hours, get up, do my various biologically necessary functions like consume food, purge waste, hunt transmog in WoW and other games that have it, and then return to my slumber for another 12 hours or so.

Speaking of…

ARTHONOS

I got a chance to rewatch the parts of the Indie Direct that I missed, and I wanted to share my highlights. Aka, releasing Dec 15th, sound really interesting. I bills itself as a game where you are a retired warrior, looking for the best place to relax and nap, including on a giant capibara. The the game also sounds like it will have a bit of a story about dealing with your violent past, so I’m all in on an adventure / nap simulator game.

I feel like someone just ripped a chunk of my soul out and made a video game out of it.

Not sure if I’m super interested in playing it or just angry that it exists and is almost certainly the reason I can’t get any sleep nowadays.

QfRossi: What talent in your main class spec’s trees best describes you?

Also, how do you feel about Fury and Arms in Dragonflight?

In the Warrior Class tree? Uproar. It’s short and to the point and it doesn’t make promises aside from that there will be an uproar.

In Arms it would likely be Die By The Sword because I would probably die in an actual swordfight. Fury, I’m thinking either Rampage (I can throw me a tantrum pretty good) or Vicious Contempt (my self loathing game is strong, y’all). For Protection, Ignore Pain, because man I have to do a lot of that in my day to day life.

As for Arms and Fury? I’d like them to do more damage and I can think of changes I would make, but overall they’re pretty solid and fun to play. Arms gets a B+ and Fury a B.

BOVEN WHITEHOOF

Okay, so the dragons can’t make baby dragons, so basically, they’re runnin around boinking every other animal and making weird dragon hybrids.

I’ve never seen anyone so succinctly evoke rules 34 through 36 in one comment.

No, I’m not explaining them. Go look them up if you’re interested. I’m tired. I’m gonna go sleep on a capybara.

Okay, that’s enough Queue for my first one following a Mitch queue in years. Anyway, please be nice and ask Liz a lot of questions, I’d feel bad if I made writing tomorrow’s Queue harder for her.
