The Queue: Time for a quick nap

I’ll just have a quick nap after my raid before writing the Queue — I thought to myself. What’s the worst that could happen?

Well, it’s now very late and I’m still not done.

So while I try and figure out what year it is, it’s time for — The Queue.

SOMETIMES I FEEL THE FEAR OF RED STINGING CLEAR

okay, last 3 times I killed the goblin I got nothing but gold or those stupid charms.
starting to reconsider my life choices

Hang in there!

I feel like it took a great many Treasure Goblin kills before I got my pet. Then I couldn’t stop getting pets. Thankfully I’m not trying to get the Tyrael’s Charger mount since I have that from way back when, but I have noticed a couple of guildies getting those as well. The drop rates on the rewards have felt ok, especially considering that you can get a new chance at the loot every half hour.

I don’t love that cadence though. It’s just long enough to maybe go and do a few World Quests or a fast Timewalking dungeon — with a tank or a healer to queue with — before the next one spawns. If anything I wish that the goblins were every hour and they just slightly increased your chances of getting the nice loot.

AND I, CAN’T HELP BUT ASK MYSELF HOW MUCH I’LL LET THE ENO TAKE THE WHEEL AND STEER

With the success of the Mario movie and the potential of other video game franchises being looked at for their own films, what’s a game you’ve enjoyed that is perhaps underrated* but one that would be interesting on the silver screen? And who would you star in it?

Since Mario seemed to work so well, why not just dip our toes back into the Nintendo collection and finally get a Legend of Zelda movie on the silver screen.

I feel like we could even get Anya Taylor-Joy to be a really good Princess Zelda. With maybe a Tom Holland appearance for Link. He’s got that kind of wirey look to him that matches Link pretty well. I wouldn’t want to see an ultra buff thick guy doing it. Ron Perlman would make for a good Gamon if they’re doing an aging evil king thing, he’s got the size to be super imposing, especially compared to Tom Holland. I met Ron Perlman once at a comic-con and the man is large. It was like shaking hands with a gorilla.

I’m not a small fellow either, but Ron is just very big.

I’d also like to see some Supergiant games make their way onto the big screen. Transistor has a more straightforward story than Hades. Although you could maybe do HADES movie similar to Groundhog Day.

KALCHEUS HAS DRIVEN ME BEFORE AND SEEMS TO HAVE A VAGUE HAUNTING MASS APPEAL

Q4tQ Should Legendary weapons work like Artifact Weapons in transmog? For example, you could use Dragonwrath mogged over a 1H+OH like you can with the Legion weapons.

Yes, of course.

They’re basically just as impressive and noteworthy as the Artifact weapons were. Let me just slap them over my currently equipped things. I’d really love to use the Legendary Guardian Druid weapon for some of my mogs.

Hang on, it appears that I’ve made a mistake. I’m being told that there isn’t a legendary Guardian Druid weapon and there hasn’t ever been one.

Huh. Weird.

As an additional point, why not just let us transmog any of the weapons we can equip over each other, no matter if you’re using a main-hand/off-hand combo or a two-handed weapon? The game knows that you’re still using shoulder armor even if you have them hidden, so why can’t it let you ‘hide’ the shield and transmog your main-hand to a two-handed weapon?

BUT LATELY I’M BEGINNING TO FIND THAT JæKSDæDI SHOULD BE THE ONE BEHIND THE WHEEL

QftQ: Why does Google keep asking me if I’m a human? Isn’t pursuing tangential topics normal? All I did was, successfully, identify an important part of my mental soundtrack as “Powerhouse” by Raymond Scott.
And, then, since we’re discussing mental soundtracks, all I did was search for for “Bring in the Clowns”… and, suddenly, my biological origin is question. But, even more importantly, that song doesn’t exist. There is “Send in the Clowns” by Stephen Sondheim, but, no, the clown music is “Entry of the Gladiators
So, the actual, QftQ: What songs are in your mental soundtrack?

I don’t really have a big mental soundtrack that is constantly playing, I just have the equivalent of the DVD logo bouncing around the screen, and every time the logo manages to land in a corner it kicks out a song. I just rely on other people mentioning something and then letting that do the work.

Of course, you could also go back and look at every one of these Queue’s that I’ve written over the years and put together a pretty good example of what’s in my mental soundtrack too. Even if my own personal listening involves more Sea Shanties, Punk, and Rock than make for good earworms fit for wider consumption.

Have a very inquisitive Bacardi for luck today! He just heard a bird or a squirrel outside and really wanted to go meet it. Of course, right after this, it ran to the right and he tried to find it behind the open door so that was a little disappointing for him. But I’m choosing to focus more on the interesting things to look at aspect of all of this and believe that my vault on Tuesday will have a bunch of neat stuff in it!

Today’s Anna Earworm™: Drive

Have a great day off if you’ve gotten that today, and a good Monday otherwise. Don’t forget to leave Anna lots of questions for tomorrow so that she can also have a great Tuesday morning!
