Even World of Warcraft got in on the fun last night from the Super Bowl!
Although at this point I have no idea what is happening in the original moment and at this point I’m too afraid to ask. So until then, I guess I’m just wondering what everyone’s yelling about!
Is it lamp?
While I try and get to the bottom of this, it’s time for — The Queue!

I am alive, just playing a ton of P3R in place of surfing the web, playing WoW, sleep, etc.
How’s everyone’s weekend going? Everyone ready for the Super Bowl?!?
Was that this weekend?!!?
I paid enough attention to the Super Bowl to check the score four different times! Once before halftime, once near the end of the 4th, once in overtime, and once after it was all over. So I guess I was ready!
Football isn’t really my thing, and having only one game to settle everything doesn’t feel as interesting to me as having a whole series of games! Maybe that one team just had a lucky game! At least do a best-of-three series, think of all that extra football you’d all get!
Q4tQ: when do you decide a grind isn’t worth the reward?
Asking because I’ve hit level 62 in this season of Diablo IV, and rank I think 36 on the battle pass. Since I’m only getting free stuff from the pass, in theory I could get the whole outfit, including the fancy hat. But said fancy hat is from rank 70-something, which would mean at least another month of grinding, assuming I play enough to get one or two ranks a day. Considering that I almost never use a head transmog in D4, I’ve decided that no, another month of grinding is not worth it just to get the hat.
Even if it is a very fancy hat.
At this point, any grind that isn’t a rep grind is one I’ll likely skip. The last grind in a game that I engaged with was the fishing Otter mount one. I do love my cool sunglasses wearing Otter, but I also got super lucky and fished up a gold coin which let me skip the longest part of the chain which made that way more palatable.
I’d say that there are a few that I know right away that I wouldn’t try and get involved with, it’s easy to look at the total steps required for something like “The Insane” title and realize that no, you don’t want the title that badly.
Of course, if the reward was better I could be convinced. Like if the Insane rewarded the title and an extra fancy pirate ship mount, the time spent vs. reward equation looks a lot nicer.
Q4tQ: Don’t you think it’s time to loop back to humans for new customization options? I do.
Well, of course, I always want more customization.
Why can’t the Kul Tirans be the super skinny version we saw? Where are the cool Troll and Gnome-inspired hairdos that all of Stormwind would be seeking after so many years of existing alongside each other? Tattoos are a thing, throw more of them in there!
While we’re at it make the Orcs get a new batch of stuff, and the Trolls, and the Dwarves, and and and…

Assuming that my grey matter wasn’t dribbling out of my ears at the sheer otherworldly-ness of N’zoth…
I’d have to go with “I’m whatever you want me to be!” If the strange interdimensional being asks if you’re a chicken, you say yes. I don’t think that going all Marty McFly in response is going to get you any further in life than any other response. I’m pretty sure that any entity like N’zoth focusing some personal attention on you isn’t good for your long-term survival.
Q4TQ: Is it ever possible to get enough skills to get guaranteed rank 3 gathers from basic mats?
Not in my experience! Maybe there was a way at some stage of development, but without getting purple-quality equipment for my Skinning, I’m still as likely to get Rank 2 leather and scales as I am Rank 3.
If you’re looking for an in-universe explanation, maybe you’ve just done too good of a job killing that thing and you couldn’t possibly get a Rank 3 quality set of leather from it. You’re lucky to get Rank 2 even.
How much lava did you just sling at it? Any amount? Then you’ll take the leather that you can salvage from that poor hapless owlbear and you’ll like it!
Anna has inspired me to revisit Kentucky Route Zero.

Much like Control, Kentucky Route Zero is one of those games that just scratches every itch that I have in regards to Weird™ stuff.
What sort of random claim to fame do you have? Back on NYE — and after months of trying — I finally got my name on the high-score board at an arcade-bar nearby. The game is Tutankham and I couldn’t tell ya why that’s the game I latched onto but now my name is on there until someone beats my score. (Please don’t try to beat my score. At least not for, like, a year or two.)
Alright, I’m getting $500 in quarters and hopping the next flight to Mitchville to learn to play Tutankham!
I think that my most random claim to fame is getting a tweet go viral with that Muppet Question that everyone loves to engage with. The one that Liz literally just talked about on Friday! Turns out that so many people just want to watch horror, violent action, and movies with “adult situations” starring the Muppets. It’s weird.
I know that most of that is them playing against type. Just like the Steamboat Mickey and Winnie the Pooh horror things — it’s just a response to a wholesome product finally getting to cut wild a little bit. On the other hand though, maybe it taps into a latent desire to prove that you’ve grown up more and have no time for childish things, while still wanting to keep those childish things as a part of your life because you haven’t really grown up that much.
Or maybe people just really like the Muppets. It’s a mystery, one that I’d need way more psych classes to really get to the bottom of.
This is the face of a cat who was just locked in a room all morning. He’s unhappy, but hope you may have treats. If you do have treats he may have good luck for your vaults tomorrow! This could be the week that you get that shiny thing! But only if you have treats for him.
