The Queue: Amirdrassil, more like Achieve-drassil, amirite?

My raid ran into the toughest boss last night, the attendance boss, so we called an audible and cleared all of the Glory of the Dream Raider achievements. There was a good batch this time, nothing that was really all on one person to execute flawlessly, and certainly, nothing that involved us getting bounced up into the air and having to collect an orb before it landed. Larodar and the Council both even gave us an extra pet for our trouble!

I will say that I’m a little sad the mount for the achievement isn’t flashier. I guess there’s something to be said for that a giant saber-toothed cat with glowy purple energy coming off of it isn’t flashy, but if it really wanted me to be super excited it should’ve had a pair of wings! I mean that’s what my dream mount would have, so why can’t this one?!

While I dream a little bigger, it’s time for — The Queue!

JALAMENOS THE BLUE BARON WAS TWENTY-FOUR YEARS OLD WHEN THEY MET THE WOMAN THEY WOULD CALL THEIR OWN

No rocket for me this year.
But I only really started trying three days ago so at least I’m not burnt-out.

I actually ran a couple of characters through it every day this year. I wanted to get my hands on that sweet new dragon armor transcript, which is silly because I have the Raszageth, and Fyrakk full transformations and why would I ride a regular proto-drake when I can have two of the big raid bosses from the expansion?

Turns out though that I won’t have to make that choice because after running these two weeks I didn’t see the Drake armor anyways. I guess there’s always next year!

I did see a few more friends get their Heartbreakers this year too, so that’s a good sign for people out there who have been chasing that rocket for a while.

Hang in there, you can do it!

LEFTY MADE THAT WEDDING RING FROM DENTIST GOLD AND ASKED HER FATHER, BUT HER DADDY SAID, NO

QftQ writers: Which Transmog set would you totally wear IRL?

I mean… all of them.

Of course, I think that I’d need to do a few more crunches before I started wearing some of the shoulder armor out in the world. I feel like the core strength needed to stay upright with the Tusks of Mannoroth on my shoulders would be a lot.

The best for day-to-day would likely be a Mage or Priest set, since those trend closer to what people actually wear these days. So you’d stand out, but not in a “call the cops there’s a walking tank coming down the sidewalk” kind of way.  The Worgen Heritage Armor would also be good for an extra fancy night out on the town.

Luckily though the set that I would most want to wear in real life wouldn’t look that out of place as long as I just moved to a frontier town, or up to the North West Territories — Bearmantle from Antorus. Lemme just be extra-bearified in real life! I bet it’s warm too.

LIZ PATT WAS WORKING ON A SOLDIER’S WARD NEVER HAD I SEEN SUCH BEAUTY BEFORE

If you could add any class to Diablo 4 — formerly in the franchise, brand new to the franchise, imagined from the ether, whatever — what would it be and how would it work?

I want something that wields the powers of Heaven and Hell in equal measure to lay wastes to the uncountable creatures and evils that plague Sanctuary.

Points in the angelic side for a more melee feel, or points in demonic for a summoner class with ranged demon magic and commanding a horde of imps to do your bidding — more Warcraft Warlock than Diablo Nazeebo. Even if his PHD in PVP would come in handy sometimes.

NOW WE’RE SAT BY THE FIRE IN OUR OLD ARMCHAIRS YOU KNOW RIPTIDEZ, I ADORE YA

With the profession revamp, cooking and fishing did not get any sub specialities. What are some that you would pick if they did have them?

First I’d combine the two. They’re both just sides of the same feed your character/party/raid coin so why have the separation? One big glorious support profession for everyone!

We’ve already seen them take away First Aid, so why not combine the other two things into one category to save a little real estate?

Then you can start getting weird with it! For Cooking add personal, group, and an experimental section. Do you play by yourself and just want to make your own buff food? Drop all your points in personal first. Are you always the guy providing feasts for your keystones and raids? Then you better max out the group fast! I mean you’ll want to anyway because at max points we bring back the Noodle carts and everyone loved those! Experimental would be for things that either mess with your character, or add extra effects to the food you create. Just like Emeril make your food go bam! Only bam(!) in this case would involve actual explosions.

Fishing would work similarly to skinning, where you add trees to attract rarer fish, and get more materials per fish. Let’s not reinvent the wheel here, just as long as I can fish up Faceless Ones from the deeps to get the ingredients for a nice gumbo that increases your Shadow damage done. Finally, an equipment page that lets you regain powers from the Legion artifact pole, and some of those other wacky fishing mini-game things from World Quests.

Today’s Bacardi has been spoiled and covered in toys. He must be feeling generous at this point, so best to ask for that extra special item you’re still looking for. Maybe it’s a weapon, maybe it’s a trinket, maybe it’s the last piece you need to complete your transmog set — whatever it is make sure you ask quick, as he moved not long after this picture was taken.

Today’s Anna Earworm™: Nancy Mulligan

Have a great day everyone! I hope that if you have it off you enjoy yourself, and if you’re working today try not to think too many bad thoughts at people who aren’t — a few are to be expected and I won’t fault you for that!
