We’ll all be soaring over Pandaria soon! Here’s how to get flying in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria
When it launches, WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria will be a self-contained leveling experience through the wilds of Pandaria — but that means it will restrict your access to traditional trainers and training locations. Though you’ll have have access to your account-bound collections — including mounts — there are no trainers to be found.
So how will you get flying in WoW Remix?
When you create a WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria character and enter game you immediately have access to any mount you already have in your mount collection. You start the experience in a phased section of the Timeless Isle, while you can summon flying and dragon riding mounts, they will behave as ground mounts until you enter the Mists of Pandaria zones.
After completing the introductory storyline you will find yourself on the airship belonging to your faction to complete a short quest line to teach you combat — it’s very similar to the new player experience. As soon as you arrive on the airship you’ll have access to flight, no additional quests required.
If you’ve already unlocked Dragonriding on your account on another character, Dragonriding will be available at this point — if not, you’ll be able to unlock it soon. After you complete the Pandaria landing quests and reach the first faction quest hub — Honeydew Village for Horde, Paw’don Village for Alliance — you’ll soon get a quest chain called Introduction to Dragonriding. This quest chain will let new players learn how Dragonriding works, and rewards you with a Dagonriding mounts well as unlocking all Dragonriding skills and talents. If you previously unlocked Dragonriding you will be able to skip this quest — but you may wish to do the quest anyway, because it won’t take long and will reward 50 bronze fairly early on.
Don’t worry if you’re on a new account and don’t have any other flying mounts available to you: when you reach level 20 all players are rewarded with the Reins of the August Phoenix. This is a white and red recolored phoenix mount.
Is there a particular Mists of Pandaria mount that has always eluded you? If you can save up a significant amount of bronze, most hard to get Pandaria Boss drop mounts are available to purchase from Hemet Nessingwary XVII at the Infinite Bazaar for amounts ranging from 18,700 to 50,000 bronze per mount.
