Rep your faction with new weapons, transmog, and other items at WoW’s August Trading Post

Brand new rewards hit the shelves of the World of Warcraft Trading Post for August, the last Trading Post offering of the Dragonflight expansion! A whole new slate of items is on offer to get you looking right before the release of WoW’s next chapter, The War Within, on August 26. So grab your Trader’s Tender from Tawny and Wilder in Stormwind or from Zen’shiri Trading Post in Orgrimmar and check out what’s on sale!

August Trading Post mounts

There are four mounts you can get at the Trading Post this month. Two of them are returning mounts, the Celestial Steed and the Cindermane Charger, both for 900 Trader’s Tender each. The two new mounts are faction flipped mounts, an Alliance decorated Sentinel War Wolf and the Horde themed Kor’kron Warsaber at 600 Trader’s Tender apiece.

August Trading Post transmog and items

All of the transmog items this month commemorate the age-old battle between Alliance vs. Horde and items have a red and blue coloration allowing players to represent their faction and maximize their transmog options. The exceptions are the purple Monarch back pieces, signifying a union between the two colors. Not exactly red vs. blue, the Stormhammer Arsenals have expanded and now have three new color sets for players to choose from.

Last, and most certainly not least, the Ethereal Transmogrifier toy makes its return! If you didn’t get this item the last time it was sold you’re going to want to try and pick it up this month to have your own transmog vendor appear at your whim.

Worgli the Apprehensive is the August Trading Post pet who can be bought for 300 Trader’s Tender. The obsessive movement with making murlocs adorable receives another boost with this completely charming, non-threatening amphibian.

August Trading Post bonus reward

The bonus reward for completing the Traveler’s Log this month is the The Coward’s Violet Target. Even though this item looks like a shield, it’s actually a back piece transmog. Personally, it feels like this this was a low effort item especially when there are four mounts for sale for a significant amount of tenders each. A bonus reward should feel like a reward and something like a mount fits that bill where this, unlike its appearance, misses that mark.

There should be plenty of activities to complete your Traveler’s Log for more Trader’s Tender between the Radiant Echoes pre-patch event, WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria, and the launch of The War Within! Remember to freeze any items you might like over to next month in case you can’t afford it right now, just keep in mind that September will be the first Trading Post of The War Within so who knows what items might be up for grabs!
