How to earn Bronze Celebration Tokens during the WoW anniversary event

With the World of Warcraft 20th Anniversary Event and patch 11.0.5 arriving in just a week, the big question on everyone’s mind is “just how am I supposed to earn the Bronze Celebration Tokens so I can buy all of these cool rewards?” Thankfully, Blizzard has explained a few things and the rest we’ve gleaned from the PTR, so we have a good idea of what we need to do when the patch goes live.

So strap on your work boots, because you’ve got some dailies to do. Some of the events for the anniversary have not been available for testing, so the numbers may change before the event goes live, but here’s what we know now.

The anniversary includes two one-time events to get you started:

From here, the event seems to be all repeatable quests.

  • Celebrate Good Fun! gives 3 Bronze Celebration Tokens daily.
  • Your Khaz Algar “wizard chores” (Theater Troupe, Awakening the Machine, Wax Collecting, Spreading the Light, Severed Threads, and Special Assignments) give 1 Bronze Celebration Token each.
  • Weekly Khaz Algar meta quests (Archives, The Call of the Worldsoul, and whatever the weekly is that week be it Timewalking or Delves or PVP) give 2 Bronze Celebration Tokens each.
  • The 20th Anniversary Weekly Quests give 3 Bronze Celebration Tokens each. These include some returning Anniversary Weekly quests like Soldier of Time and The Originals as well as some new ones like Chromie’s Codex, An Original Path Through Time and Disturbance Detected: Blackrock Depths.

Once you’ve earned 100 Bronze Celebration Tokens, your entire Warband will be able to get ungated tokens from the following:

  • Blackrock Depths Raid Dungeon Raid Bosses
  • World Bosses
  • Classic Timewalking Queues
  • Codex of Chromie Queues
  • Korrak’s Revenge Daily Quests

You’ll want to be doing these too, as the rewards this year are really good. Not only has Blizzard given us high quality revamped versions of the iconic Tier 2 armor sets (adding in armor for new classes as well), but you can grab mounts and pets from previous WoW anniversary events in case you are a newer player or just happened to miss it (like I did with the Obsidian Worldbreaker).

Got your fill of everything you wanted but still have a surplus of Bronze Celebration Tokens? That’s okay! You can trade 1 Bronze Celebration Token for 20 Timewarped Badges, which you may want to do because there’s going to be a bunch of new Timewarped Badge loot as well in the Anniversary event — including the Claymore of the Knight’s Pledge, a Tier 2 Judgement set inspired two-handed sword for 2500 badges. There will also be 15 20th Anniversary Event titles available for 100 badges each, which will no longer be available after the event ends… so make sure you grab your Karazhan Graduate title before it’s gone!

If anything changes or we find new ways to earn Bronze Celebration Tokens, we’ll update this post to let you know.
