How to get revamped Tier 2 transmog sets during the WoW anniversary event
With the World of Warcraft 20th Anniversary Event right around the corner (starting October 22) we’ve now learned how to earn Bronze Celebration Tokens during the event so that we can earn the currency to purchase all of the new shiny things that are up for offer. So the question today is: how exactly do we purchase these new revamped Tier 2 sets? What are the costs?
Thankfully, Blizzard made a post to address many of these things so today we’ll break down the “what you need to know” if you’re just after the Tier 2 sets.
Outside of the Caverns of Time you will find a Tauren vendor named Traeya who will be your Tier 2 armor vendor. Here’s what we now know about pricing:
- Your first set of Tier 2 armor will cost 60 Bronze Celebration Tokens
- Your second set of Tier 2 armor will be discounted and cost 40 Bronze Celebration Tokens
- Your third and any additional sets of Tier 2 armor will be discounted to cost 20 Bronze Celebration Tokens
With this in mind, you will need exactly 320 Bronze Celebration Tokens if the only thing you are after are the revamped Tier 2 armor sets.
Now, if you’re collecting all the sets, you may also want to do some Timewalking during the event, as one of the new Timewalking weapon appearances is the Claymore of the Knight’s Pledge, a 2-Hand sword that is modeled off the Judgement Tier 2 armor.
While we’ve written up an entire guide on how to earn Bronze Celebration Tokens, it should be noted that once you’ve earned your first two Tier 2 armor sets that you’ll earn a warband account unlock that allows you to get ungated tokens from the following events:
- Blackrock Depths Raid Bosses
- World Bosses
- Classic Timewalking Queues
- Codex of Chromie Queues
- Korrak’s Revenge Daily Quests
We aren’t entirely sure how many you can get per event, but that might be an easier way to earn your additional 220 Bronze Celebration Tokens in case you really prefer to run Timewalking nonstop (or really, really love Korrak’s Revenge).
Is there a set that you’re specifically chasing after, Watchers? Judgement (Paladin), Pale Rider (Death Knight), Battlegear of the August (Monk), and Netherwalker (Demon Hunter) are all on my “must have” list, but what about you?
