All the free games in the 2024 daily Epic Games advent calendar

The Epic Games Store advent calendar free game giveaway has grown over time to be an iconic part of the holiday season for gamers who like free stuff. The games offered cover a wide variety of genres, vibes, and playstyles — and regardless of quality again, free is free. In past years, they’ve put Death Stranding, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Control, Saint’s Row, Fallout 3, and Prey in our stockings, and this year it’s rumored that we’ll see 16 games up for grabs in the next couple weeks.
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria was given away as the Epic Winter Sale started December 12, and also had the festive disguise wrapping, but it was the only offering for a full week, just like Epic’s usual free games. Moria, and the last game with the wrapping, which will also span a week, both count toward that total of 16. And then the regular, non-holiday weekly giveaways will commence once again.
Not to be a stickler, but is it even an advent calendar if it starts December 19? What are we counting towards, exactly?
Here is the list of games for 2024:
- December 19: Vampire Survivors, a site favorite!
- December 20: Astria: Six Sided Oracles
- December 21: Terra Tech
- December 22: Wizard of Legend
- December 23: Dark and Darker – Legendary Status Rated M
*This one is a little odd, in that you have to grab the free version of Dark and Darker first, and then the Legendary upgrade is free. - December 24: Dredge
- December 25: Control
*You may already have this because it was given away in 2021’s holiday calendar. - December 26: Ghostrunner 2 Rated M
- December 27: Hot Wheels Unleashed
- December 28: Kill Knight
- December 29: Orcs Must Die 3
*You may already have this, as it was given away in May 2024 as a weekly free game. - December 30: [REDACTED]
- December 31: Sifu
- January 1: Kingdom Come: Deliverance
*You may already have this, as it was given away in February 2020 as a weekly free game. - January 2: Hell Let Loose Rated M
The daily rollover occurs at 11 a.m. EST, but if you’re not the biggest fan of timezone math, in the storefront the upcoming game has a handy countdown to tell you when the next free game is about to drop.
Happy holidays!
