Q4tQ How was your holiday week?
It’s a week in which my basement wasn’t flooded, so I’ll call it a pretty good week.
Dad: “You know you’re getting old when you get given pyjamas for Christmas”
Me: “No, I know I’m getting old when I appreciate getting pyjamas for Christmas”
I got pajamas for Christmas! They’re purple with Stitch on them.
I hope everyone has gotten the gift of cozy pajamas for the holiday.
Went to Walmart to buy out their Mello Yello Zero bottles, as per my annual tradition. Lady Friend got a bunch of crap now that it’s more on sale, but put half of it back, thank the Lord.
Stopped by Lowe’s, in case they got up to 90% off on Christmas crap, and they didn’t, but she came back with some storage tubs.
Stopped at Kroger for the first time, then the mall, where Bath and Body Works was using basket availability as an ersatz means of crowd control, and then Kroger again.
My mother bought a 9′ artificial Christmas tree on the 26th and then put it up. I stayed home, safe from post-holiday shoppers. However, I’m pretty sure I’ll be enlisted into helping take down this tree and box it back up. Clean up is always the worst part of the holiday.
Does 2025 seem very futuristic to you as a year number?
Every year past 2020 seems super futuristic. We are living in the future!

Yeah, I also made that mistake. And then got so overwhelmed with the pile of things to do that I still haven’t finished it.
